How to Grow Thicker and Shinier Hair

This one superfood is the key to hair growth and healthy hair! In this video, we’ll cover 4 superfoods for hair growth, including the most important food for hair health. Add these nutrient-rich foods for hair to your diet today! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: The best foods for hair growth 0:50 Vitamin D3 and hair loss prevention 2:24 The #1 food for hair growth 2:54 Iron and hair health Today, we’re going to talk about the top foods for hair growth. Number 4 is the most important! 1. Bamboo shoots are high in trace minerals, potassium, and silica—essential for building hair protein. Silica makes hair strong and elastic and also prevents breakage and brittleness. Silica supports skin, joint, and bone health as well! 2. Wild-caught salmon is an excellent source of protein and is loaded with nutrition. It’s also one of the best sources of omega-3 fatty acids. Wild-caught salmon is a potent source of vitamin D3, which can improve nearly every problem with hair loss. Vitamin D controls the hair follicle and can activate dormant hair follicle stem cells. 3. Egg yolks are loaded with biotin, vital for keratin production. They also contain all of the fat-soluble nutrients that are essential for hair growth and hair health. Egg yolks are a rich source of cholesterol, a precursor for the hormones necessary for hair growth. Cholesterol increases hair shine and luster and strengthens the hair shaft. Egg yolks contain vitamin D and sulfur, which supports a healthy scalp. 4. Grass-fed liver contains concentrated amounts of almost every nutrient. It’s high in iron, vital for oxygen transport to the scalp. One of the most common causes of hair shedding is iron deficiency. An iron deficiency can be caused by low iron or a copper deficiency. Copper is vital for the proper function of iron, and beef liver is loaded with it! It also contains zinc, which is essential in the appropriate ratio to copper. Zinc is necessary in the formation of hair and protein synthesis. Beef liver also contains folate and vitamin B12, which can reduce graying. The nutrients in beef liver are bioavailable, so your body can easily absorb them. Beef liver contains the active, bioavailable form of vitamin A and biotin. It’s best to get biotin from a food source rather than a supplement. Disclaimer: Dr. Eric Berg received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1988. One Simple Change for Enduring Weight Loss (Better Than Ozempic)

Keto and intermittent fasting can help you lose weight and lower high insulin, but there’s something even more important for weight loss. In this video, I’m going to share my number one best weight loss tip. Don’t overcomplicate weight loss! This simple tip is the key to your success. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: Dr. Berg’s best weight loss tip! 1:20 What is the problem with high insulin? 2:45 Intermittent fasting 3:27 Addictive ultra-processed foods 4:24 Download my new app! 4:50 Protein and weight loss 7:32 More weight loss tips Here’s the secret! Don’t eat until you’re hungry! People often eat for emotional reasons. This trains the body to associate food with stress relief, happiness, and pleasure. Many people will also keep eating even after they’re full. Constant eating leaves you constantly bloated and turning to antacids for relief. It overwhelms the microbes, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, and stomach, causing them to work overtime. If you’re eating when you’re not hungry, you’re constantly spiking insulin. Insulin is the hormone that causes fat storage and removes sugar from the blood. When you have chronic high insulin, you develop a protective mechanism called insulin resistance, where insulin no longer works. This leads to more hunger and cravings. If you only eat when you are hungry, your body will tell you how long you should fast. Fasting allows you to burn your own fat for fuel. Other than fat burning, other intermittent fasting benefits include brain cell growth, elevated mood, improved cognitive function, and decreased inflammation. Self-control and willpower are developed if you only eat when you are hungry. Food companies came up with the slogan, “There is no bad food.” This is a lie! Ultra-processed foods are bad foods. Junk food companies have worked to create the bliss point. This is the ultimate pleasure sensation you receive from eating junk foods. This maximum dopamine rush is caused by the perfect ratio of sugar, salt, and fat. My new app can help you easily navigate the grocery store and quickly discover the starches, sugars, and seed oils hiding in your food. Junk foods do not have protein. This causes you to continue to eat them because you will continue to eat until your protein needs are met. They are also devoid of nutrients. Focus on nutrient-dense, high-quality protein to keep you feeling full. Avoid mindless eating and snacking. If you’re not hungry at breakfast time, skip it and only have lunch and dinner. Stay busy throughout the day and ensure that your environment supports healthy eating. The BIG Mistake Counting Carbs on Keto (Ketogenic Diet)

Free PDF Guide - Keto Strategy Tips 👉 https://drbrg.co/4baO3iO Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) Just so you know, my full line of high-quality supplements is available on Amazon — search Dr. Berg Supplements. All you need to do is focus on lowering your carbs, right? Wrong. Find out how to avoid this huge mistake when counting carbs on keto. Healthy Ketogenic Diet Basics Step 1: Intermittent Fasting and Fat Burning ▶️https://youtu.be/vMZfyEy_jpI Healthy Ketogenic Diet Basics Step 2: WHAT TO EAT ▶️ https://youtu.be/mBqpaAKtnXE 0:00 Introduction: One of the biggest keto mistakes 0:25 Counting carbs on keto 0:52 Protein and insulin 1:32 Foods that don’t trigger insulin 1:55 The insulin index explained 9:12 Check out this video on the glycemic index and glycemic load! Let’s talk about the biggest mistake you can make when counting carbs on keto. Understanding this crucial information will help you achieve better results on the keto plan. On the keto diet, you reduce your carbs to below 50 grams. We do this because carbs increase insulin, and insulin blocks ketosis. If you’re not in ketosis, you’re not doing the ketogenic diet correctly. But carbs aren't the only factor to consider. You need to remember that protein can also increase insulin, especially if you have insulin resistance, prediabetes, or diabetes. It doesn’t affect insulin as much as carbohydrates, but it can still raise your insulin. Only two foods don’t trigger insulin: fat and fiber. When combined with other foods, fat and fiber can also help buffer the effect of insulin. A blood sugar level between 70 and 80 is ideal. If your blood sugar is too low or too high, you’re going to experience a range of symptoms and potential health problems. But, if your blood sugar level is perfect, you’re going to feel fantastic. The insulin index is the scale of foods that trigger insulin. Understanding the insulin index is crucial—it’s one of the most important things to focus on when trying to achieve health. The lower the food is on the index, the better it is. Stick to consuming foods lower on the insulin index for more success on keto—don't only focus on counting carbs. #1 Best Food to Unblock Arteries

Find out about the #1 best food in the world to help unclog arteries and prevent a heart attack or a stroke. This food works to clean arteries naturally and doesn’t come with negative side effects. Find out how to clean your arteries and improve your cardiovascular health with this one food today! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: The best food for clogged arteries 0:10 Aspirin to prevent heart disease 0:56 Blocked arteries and heart attacks 2:11 How to clean arteries naturally with EPA 2:50 EPA benefits 4:30 The best food for clogged arteries 5:03 Vitamin D benefits DATA: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles...https://www.sciencedirect.com/science... Aspirin helps prevent heart attacks by thinning the blood and reducing clot formation. A blood clot causes 80% of all heart attacks and strokes. While Aspirin has helped people, it does come with side effects and may not be for everyone. Surprisingly, 50% of all heart attacks occur between 6:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., likely due to higher levels of cortisol in the morning. Both cortisol and adrenaline can increase clotting. EPA, an omega-3 fatty acid, acts as a natural blood thinner without the negative side effects. Research has shown that EPA can thin the blood comparably to low-dose Aspirin. EPA can stabilize vulnerable arterial plaquing by decreasing inflammation. One 2019 study found that people who consumed EPA experienced a significant decrease in plaquing, decreased inflammation, and decreased cardiovascular events. It can also positively affect your mood by reducing cortisol and adrenaline. EPA helps prevent blocked arteries by making your platelets less sticky. Salmon, mackerel, fatty fish, and fish oil contain EPA, but there’s a better source! Cod liver oil or cod liver is the best food to unclog your arteries naturally. Along with EPA, cod liver oil contains vitamins A and D. The active form of vitamin A, retinol, helps to repair the body’s internal tissues. It’s also a potent anti-inflammatory and can help decrease atherosclerotic plaquing. In one study, out of 1000 compounds, vitamin D was the most effective at preventing damage to the internal layer of the arteries. Vitamin D increases nitric oxide and the stiffness of the arteries. It’s a potent anti-inflammatory, stabilizes plaque, prevents rupture, and decreases arterial calcification. Dementia is not an inevitable part of aging. Many of the risk factors linked to cognitive decline, memory loss, and dementia are connected to lifestyle, nutrition, metabolic health, and chronic inflammation. High-carb diets and vitamin deficiencies are often contributing factors. Nutrient deficiencies, insulin resistance, poor sleep, environmental toxins, hormone imbalances, and gut health can all affect cognitive function and increase dementia risk. Taking a proactive approach to brain health can help preserve cognitive function, support healthy aging, and reduce the risk of dementia over time. Certain genetic factors can increase your risk for dementia, but they are not in control! Focus on a healthy diet and lifestyle changes for your best defense against dementia. The Most Risky "Therapy" in the World Still Applied in America

Stop this barbaric treatment! Sign the petition here: https://stopect.com/email-congress Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) This barbaric medical treatment is still being used to treat depression and mental illness in the US. Find out about the dangerous side effects of electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), one of the most controversial mental health treatments that exists. You won’t believe they’re still doing this! 0:00 Introduction: ECT for depression 0:41 Electroshock treatment background 2:11 Is ECT dangerous? 2:23 What is electroconvulsive therapy? 4:22 More side effects of electroconvulsive therapy 4:38 Trauma from electroshock therapy This barbaric mental health therapy costs around $2000 to $2500 per treatment, and is covered by Medicaid, Medicare, and the VA system. It’s a multibillion-dollar market! The average treatment plan includes 12 sessions in the first month, followed by maintenance sessions every 3 weeks. This treatment has never been scientifically proven to work! There have been no official trials, and it has even been performed on children and pregnant women. The UN calls this treatment a human rights abuse and compares this forced treatment on minors to torture. In China, it’s actually used as a form of torture. In addition, this treatment has never been FDA-approved and was merely grandfathered in. In 2018, the FDA downgraded it from a high-risk classification to a moderate-risk classification. This dangerous treatment causes structural brain damage, creates swelling and inflammation in the brain, and even kills brain cells. Electroconvulsive therapy involves putting 150 volts through a person's brain to induce a grand mal seizure. ECT treatment comes with many side effects, has 60 documented adverse events, and can cause permanent brain damage, memory loss, and heart attacks. This treatment uses enough energy to stop the heart, and there is nothing stopping the voltage from traveling to the rest of the body. This can lead to cardiac arrest! People who use this treatment are also at an increased risk of suicide. I’ve seen firsthand in practice that people who’ve had this treatment lose their personality, humor, creativity, and more. ECT treatment can lead to death, destruction of cells and mitochondria, and shrinking of the hippocampus. Neurologist Dr. John Feinberg noted in 1977 that ECT caused structural brain damage, indistinguishable from head trauma. If you have depression, diet and lifestyle changes may help. Increasing vitamin D levels, B-vitamin levels, and omega-3 levels, along with a low-carb diet and intermittent fasting, can significantly improve your symptoms. Avoid Failing This Brain Test (For Early Dementia)

Grab a pen and paper and try this 30-second early dementia test! This simple cognitive assessment for dementia can identify cognitive deficits long before the onset of dementia. Don’t wait for early dementia signs to take action! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: Quick dementia brain test 0:24 The clock drawing test for dementia 1:17 Evaluating clock drawing test results 1:57 What causes dementia? 2:39 Preventing cognitive decline and reversing dementia 4:40 Reversing early dementia signs with ketones Memory loss is not the only early sign of dementia! Other common cognitive decline symptoms involve the speed at which you process information and your attention and focus. To perform the clock drawing test for dementia, set a timer for 30 seconds and draw a clock with the time set at 10 minutes after 11. To evaluate your results for any dementia risk factors, examine the following: •Were any numbers jumbled or missing? •Did you write all 12 numbers? •Were the numbers spaced correctly? •Were the hands of the clock facing the right direction? •Did you reverse the hour and the minute hands? •Were you unable to complete this in 30 seconds? The clock drawing test is one of the most sensitive indicators of early cognitive deficits and is considered more accurate than memory tests. If you didn’t pass this test or you made a mistake, don’t worry! You can do many things to support brain health and prevent or reverse dementia. Sugar shrinks your brain, especially the hippocampus, which controls memory. Chronic stress and poor sleep can also contribute to the problem. If you notice any signs of early dementia, increasing BDNF (brain-derived neurotrophic factor) is vital. BDNF helps grow brain tissue and prevents cognitive problems, as well as other issues like depression. Here are the best ways to increase BDNF: •Intermittent fasting •Cold therapy •Deep sleep •Learning difficult tasks or skills •High-intensity interval training Ketones can also help reverse dementia and protect your brain against cognitive decline. A low-carb diet can increase ketones and has even been shown to reverse diabetes in 10 weeks! MCT oil, coconut oil, and ketone supplements can also provide the brain with ketones. To remain in ketosis, only consume a moderate amount of protein! Disclaimer: Dr. Eric Berg received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1988. The Cause of Your Sinus Stuffiness (Congestion) Is Hiding in Your Pillow

Get access to my FREE resources 👉 https://drbrg.co/49AlM4g Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) Just so you know, my full line of high-quality supplements is available on Amazon — search Dr. Berg Supplements. Find out about a surprising cause of unexplained sinus congestion and snoring. The cause of chronic nasal congestion could be hiding in your pillow! DATA: https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2005/10/051015093046.htm 0:00 Introduction: A hidden cause of sinus congestion 0:27 Microbes in your pillow 1:10 Rhinitis 1:35 How do I know if my pillow is causing my sinus congestion? 2:07 Easy remedy for sinus congestion Today, we’re going to talk about one of the hidden causes of chronic sinus congestion. Microorganisms in your pillow could be causing sinus pressure, nasal congestion, difficulty breathing, and snoring! The average pillow has 7000 spores of 4 to 16 different types of fungus, especially if your pillow is made of synthetic material. The fungus found in your pillow is a frequent cause of rhinitis, or inflammation of the sinuses. The fungus feeds on nitrogen and dead skin—and can affect the respiratory system. Fungus spores are activated by moisture, so your sweat, drool, and wet hair intensify the problem. Spores can even grow roots into the fibers of your pillow. Here are 4 signs that fungus in your pillow may be causing sinus congestion: 1. Discoloration on the pillow 2. Moisture on the pillow 3. Odors from the pillow 4. Sudden change in mucus membranes (difficulty breathing, stuffy nose) To solve this problem, wash your pillow at least once monthly and ensure it’s completely dried. It’s also essential to clean your pillowcase at least once per week. Your pillow won’t last forever, so be sure to replace it once yearly. THIS Pill Leads to Dementia!!!

Drug interactions can cause more complex side effects than the side effects of a single drug, and can even contribute to dementia. Join me as I interview Hal Cranmer, owner of several assisted living homes, and Dr. Roshani Sanghani, board-certified endocrinologist, to discuss the side effects of multiple medications. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: Drugs that trigger dementia 1:51 Welcome, Hal Cranmer! 2:44 Hal’s dietary protocol 6:32 Adverse drug reactions 6:49 Welcome, Dr. Roshani Sanghani! 11:00 Common side effects of medication 12:37 What causes chronic disease? Assisted Living Home: https://aparadiseforparents.com/ Epocrates: https://www.epocrates.com/ Taking the following drugs for an extended period of time may potentially increase your risk for dementia. 1. Drugs that block acetylcholine This includes Benadryl, certain drugs for depression, and drugs that treat overactive bladder. 2. Benzodiazepine Drugs such as Valium and Xanax treat anxiety, insomnia, and seizures, affecting the central nervous system and brain. 3. PPIs Proton pump inhibitors, such as Prilosec and Nexium, that treat indigestion and heartburn may increase the risk of cognitive decline. 4. Opioids Morphine, oxycodone, and other opioids that sedate the brain significantly affect cognitive function and may lead to dementia. Hal Cranmer owns several assisted living homes and sees first-hand the consequences of giving someone several drugs at once. Many residents in assisted living homes are on 20 to 30 medications. In Hal’s facilities, he focuses on providing his residents with a healthy diet and eliminating sugar and ultra-processed foods. Many of Hal’s residents have been able to get off their medication. Multiple medications often involve multiple doctors with multiple viewpoints. Each doctor focuses only on specific parts and functions of the body rather than the body as a whole. Adverse drug reactions are unexpected side effects directly caused by drugs. Around 90% are underreported. Adverse drug reactions are responsible for 10% of all hospital visits and are the 4th leading cause of death. Dr. Roshani Sanghani, a board-certified endocrinologist, uses epocrates.com to help keep track of drug interactions. She points out the problem of specialists focusing on and prescribing treatment for one body part and not considering the patients’ other medications. The biggest contributor to chronic disease is diet. Medications are often prescribed to treat the symptoms caused by consuming ultra-processed foods. A healthy diet can turn this cycle around. Did you know you can burn fat while you sleep? Find out how in this video. 0:00 Introduction: 7 ways to burn more fat while sleeping 1:00 Dietary changes to improve sleep 3:45 Sleep aids 5:58 The most important tip to burn fat while you sleep In this video, I’m going to give you 7 tips to help you increase fat-burning while you sleep. Poor sleep stops fat-burning, so it’s important to make sure you’re getting good sleep. Check out these tips to boost fat loss while you sleep. 7. Only eat when you’re hungry. Let your appetite dictate your fasting pattern. 6. Reduce extra fat in your diet. This forces your body to burn your body fat for fuel. 5. Ensure your carb intake is not too high. Focus on eating meat and vegetables. If you have a thyroid issue, try adding berries to your diet. If you’re dealing with gut inflammation, try the carnivore diet. 4. Focus on good sleep hygiene. Invest in a good mattress, make sure the room is not too hot, and turn off lights. 3. Natural sleep aids can help improve your sleep and increase fat-burning. Try drinking apple cider vinegar throughout the day to help regulate your blood sugar and help you sleep. Collagen helps with sleep because it contains glycine. Niacinamide, vitamin D, and sea salt are also important for good sleep. 2. Do a full-body workout that gets you tired and also makes you sweat. Intense exercise activates growth hormone which helps you burn fat, even while you’re resting. 1. Go to bed between 9:00 and 9:30 p.m. and sleep for 9 hours. Getting plenty of sleep is crucial for fat loss. Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 59, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Iodine has many different health benefits, but over two billion people have an iodine deficiency. Learn more about the signs and symptoms of an iodine deficiency. Importance of iodine: ▶️ https://youtu.be/ZMaqumn5Lcc Iodine and skin tags: ▶️ https://youtu.be/YF_8gVewcKg 0:00 Introduction: Iodine deficiency 0:19 Health benefits of iodine 1:33 Hypothyroidism 2:08 Iodine deficiency symptoms 8:57 Learn more about iodine! Today, we're going to talk about the signs and symptoms of iodine deficiency. Many people have low iodine. You're likely iodine deficient unless you consume shellfish, seaweed, sea kelp, or vegetables grown on the coast. The level of iodine in your body really depends on the level of iodine in the food you eat and the soil it's grown in. If you're deficient in iodine, you could end up with a hypothyroid condition. The top symptoms of hypothyroidism include: • Swelling in the lower part of the neck • Difficulty losing weight • Dry hair and dry skin • Thinned hair • Constipation Overlooked signs of an iodine deficiency: 1. Estrogen dominance. Iodine helps regulate estrogen and helps prevent estrogen dominance. It also supports detoxification. 2. High cortisol levels. Iodine helps normalize cortisol levels. 3. A hypothyroid condition. Hypothyroidism can cause the cholesterol in your body to be elevated but unusable for making vitamin D, cell membranes, and bile. 4. Side effects when consuming soy products. Iodine helps buffer the estrogen effects of consuming soy products. 5. Hashimoto's. You still need iodine if you have Hashimoto's, but not excess iodine. You may also need selenium, zinc, vitamin D, and myo-inositol. Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 58, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting.
