Don't Fail This Brain Test (For Early Dementia)

Grab a pen and paper and try this 30-second early dementia test! This simple cognitive assessment for dementia can identify cognitive deficits long before the onset of dementia. Don’t wait for early dementia signs to take action! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: Quick dementia brain test 0:24 The clock drawing test for dementia 1:17 Evaluating clock drawing test results 1:57 What causes dementia? 2:39 Preventing cognitive decline and reversing dementia 4:40 Reversing early dementia signs with ketones Memory loss is not the only early sign of dementia! Other common cognitive decline symptoms involve the speed at which you process information and your attention and focus. To perform the clock drawing test for dementia, set a timer for 30 seconds and draw a clock with the time set at 10 minutes after 11. To evaluate your results for any dementia risk factors, examine the following: •Were any numbers jumbled or missing? •Did you write all 12 numbers? •Were the numbers spaced correctly? •Were the hands of the clock facing the right direction? •Did you reverse the hour and the minute hands? •Were you unable to complete this in 30 seconds? The clock drawing test is one of the most sensitive indicators of early cognitive deficits and is considered more accurate than memory tests. If you didn’t pass this test or you made a mistake, don’t worry! You can do many things to support brain health and prevent or reverse dementia. Sugar shrinks your brain, especially the hippocampus, which controls memory. Chronic stress and poor sleep can also contribute to the problem. If you notice any signs of early dementia, increasing BDNF (brain-derived neurotrophic factor) is vital. BDNF helps grow brain tissue and prevents cognitive problems, as well as other issues like depression. Here are the best ways to increase BDNF: •Intermittent fasting •Cold therapy •Deep sleep •Learning difficult tasks or skills •High-intensity interval training Ketones can also help reverse dementia and protect your brain against cognitive decline. A low-carb diet can increase ketones and has even been shown to reverse diabetes in 10 weeks! MCT oil, coconut oil, and ketone supplements can also provide the brain with ketones. To remain in ketosis, only consume a moderate amount of protein! Disclaimer: Dr. Eric Berg received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1988. You Will NEVER Consume Seed Oils Again After Watching This

Are seed oils bad for your health? Discover the truth about seed oils, linoleic acid, omega-6 fats, and how changes in the modern diet may be affecting your heart, cellular health, and overall well-being. 0:00 Seed oils explained 0:51 Linoleic acid 2:10 Oxidized oils 3:15 What seed oils do to your body 3:55 Seed oil controversy 4:52 Seed oil dangers 5:35 Cholesterol myths 7:10 Omega-6 fats and omega-3 fatty acids 8:12 Eliminating seed oils 🌟 10 biological signals control how you feel every day, but only 1 matters most for YOUR body. Fat tissue is more than just stored energy; it’s living tissue built from the foods you eat. One of the primary fats found in seed oils is linoleic acid, an omega-6 fatty acid. Over the past several decades, the amount of linoleic acid stored in the body has increased dramatically. Some researchers estimate that the average body fat contained about 6% linoleic acid in the 1960s, compared to roughly 18% today. Linoleic acid levels in breast milk have also increased significantly during the same period, while soybean oil consumption has risen substantially. One concern with seed oils is that linoleic acid can oxidize when exposed to heat, especially during repeated heating and reheating. This process can create toxic byproducts that may negatively affect health. Cholesterol is commonly used as a marker of cardiovascular health, but the body naturally produces cholesterol, and some researchers question whether it tells the whole story. Another important consideration is the balance between omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids. While a balanced intake is important, many people consume significantly more omega-6 fats than omega-3s. To improve your omega fatty acid balance, focus on reducing highly processed seed oils and increasing omega-3-rich foods such as fatty fish, fish oil, and cod liver oil. Today, I’m going to share one of the best natural remedies for a UTI (urinary tract infection). Top symptoms of a UTI: • Burning upon urination • Frequent urination • The urge to urinate when your bladder is empty • Abdominal pain • Low back pain • Blood in the urine • Cloudy urine • Urine with a bad odor E. coli causes 80% of urinary tract infections, and urinary tract infections are more common in women than men. The natural remedy for UTIs that most people commonly think of is cranberries. But, consuming cranberries, cranberry supplements, or cranberry juice for a UTI is only somewhat effective. However, when it comes to preventing a UTI, cranberry supplements may be beneficial. The #1 remedy for a UTI is a combination of oregano oil capsules and thyme capsules. Both oregano and thyme are potent natural antibiotics. The oregano oil supplement should be at least 60% carvacrol to be beneficial. You may want to try taking at least 200 mg of oregano oil four times per day and 500 mg of thyme once a day for a UTI. Another great urinary tract infection remedy that you can add to this regimen is two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar mixed into 16 ounces of water. Other natural tips to help you get rid of a UTI fast: • Drink at least 2.5 liters of fluid per day • Consume a natural diuretic (asparagus, dandelion greens, or potassium citrate) Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 57, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Things Sabotaging Your Health (And How to Fix It)

7 top health tips to increase longevity, overall health, and well-being. These simple health tips address common health problems at their root! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: Dr. Berg’s health tips 0:13 Social isolation health risks 1:09 Lack of sleep health effects 1:31 Refined sugar health risks 1:53 Cut sugar from the diet 3:12 Avoid processed seed oils 3:53 Visceral fat dangers 4:51 Constant snacking and weight gain 5:34 Magnesium, choline, and vitamin D deficiency 6:33 The #1 best health tip 1. Loneliness Loneliness related to social isolation causes a chronic elevation in cortisol, which leads to inflammation and an increased risk of heart disease, stroke, and high blood pressure. Focus on nurturing at least 3 quality relationships. Prioritize regular social engagement and volunteering your time to help others. 2. Lack of sleep Getting less than 5 hours of sleep can increase your risk of early death by 30%! It also increases your risk of weight gain, cravings, and diabetes by 2 to 3 times. Always aim for at least 7 hours of sleep. 3. Refined sugar Processed sugar and starch contribute to liver fat, obesity, Alzheimer’s, and inflammation. Cut sugar from your diet and follow a low-carb ketogenic diet. The Dr. Berg Junk Food Meter app allows you to quickly scan foods to identify the 3 key ingredients in most junk foods: sugars, starches, and seed oils. 4. Industrial seed oils Seed oils create significant inflammation in the body. Avoid processed seed oils and choose healthy oils such as extra virgin olive oil, grass-fed butter, tallow, and lard. 5. Reduce visceral fat naturally Visceral fat surrounds the organs and directly correlates with your longevity. Reduce visceral fat naturally by doing intermittent fasting and keto. 6. Stop snacking Constant snacking makes it impossible for your body to repair damaged cells. Stop snacking and only eat when you're hungry. 7. Nutrient deficiencies A magnesium deficiency can lead to high blood pressure, arrhythmias, and muscle cramps. Magnesium is found in leafy greens and pumpkin seeds, or you can take a magnesium glycinate supplement. It’s said that 40% of people are deficient in vitamin D, but that figure could be closer to 90%! Vitamin D deficiency increases the risk of early death and leads to inflammation and depression. You need at least 10,000 IU of vitamin D3 daily. Low choline intake can cause a fatty liver and problems with memory and cognitive function. You need 550 mg per day, and the best sources are egg yolks and liver. Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 60, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Ketones are actually the preferred fuel source for the body. The liver only stores about 400 calories of sugar as glycogen, while the average person has around 120,000 calories of stored fat available for energy. Fasting does not typically cause hypoglycemia. During a 24-hour fast, you shouldn't experience a significant drop in blood sugar. This is because your liver can produce glucose through a process called gluconeogenesis, so you don't need to consume sugar to maintain blood sugar levels. Between 12 and 24 hours of fasting, your body shifts toward fat burning. Fasting also stimulates autophagy, the body's natural process of cleaning up and recycling damaged tissues and proteins. Hypoglycemia while fasting is often related to an existing insulin resistance problem, commonly associated with a high-carb diet. Depending on the severity of the problem, it can take time to correct after reducing your carbohydrate intake. THIS Lowers Blood Sugar Levels QUICKER than Anything Else

Find out how to lower blood sugar if you fall off the wagon and consume too many carbs. In this quick video, I’m going to share natural ways to lower blood sugar and get into fat-burning FAST! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: How to lower blood sugar quickly 0:12 High-intensity interval training 0:44 Apple cider vinegar to control blood sugar naturally 1:13 Supplements for natural blood sugar support 2:27 Post-meal walk to lower blood sugar 2:55 Potassium and magnesium 3:43 Ketone supplements 4:23 Salt water 4:57 The best way to reverse high blood sugar 1. High-intensity interval training (HIIT) Just a few minutes of high-intensity exercise with lots of rest can quickly deplete excess sugar in your blood. Try doing exercises such as burpees, plyometrics, or a spin bike. 2. Apple cider vinegar Apple cider vinegar contains acetic acid, which can slow down a blood sugar spike after consuming sugar. Combine one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar with 8 ounces of water and drink this after a high-carb meal. 3. Berberine, NAC, and other supplements Berberine is considered a natural Metformin without the side effects. You can pair berberine with NAC or alpha lipoic acid for more natural blood sugar support. Excess carbs deplete vitamin B1, so if you have a cheat meal or fall off the wagon with carbohydrates, increase vitamin B1. 4. Post-meal walk A 25 to 30-minute post-meal walk can help burn off excess sugar so that it is not converted into cholesterol or stored as fat. 5. Potassium and magnesium Potassium is necessary for glucose storage in the liver and the muscles. It also helps move glucose into your cells. Magnesium is critical for the cells that produce insulin. Nearly every diabetic is deficient in magnesium! 6. Ketone supplements Providing the brain with ketones supports healthy blood sugar in the brain, which can improve cognitive function and decrease brain fog. 7. Saltwater Sodium helps prevent stress-induced blood sugar spikes. Adding more salt to your last meal or adding it to a glass of water can improve sleep and calm your mood. Dry fasting can lower blood sugar faster than anything else! Dry fasting means you’re not drinking water or eating food. When you’re dry fasting, your body increases the hormone glucagon, which helps to lower blood sugar. Growth hormone and antioxidants also increase, and your body quickly switches to fat-burning. The Most Dangerous Breakfast in America (That You Think Is Healthy)

Most people think this breakfast food is healthy, but it’s actually one of the worst breakfast foods you could eat. Uploaded 15-07-26 0:00 The worst breakfast foods 0:21 Whole-grain cereal 2:16 Whole wheat side effects 2:51 Phytic acid 3:27 Gut inflammation and whole grain cereals 6:44 What is the best breakfast? 8:29 No breakfast benefits 9:20 Protein breakfast 🌟 Download Dr. Berg's Free Daily Health Routine: https://drbrg.co/4ffXUrA Learn more about blood sugar, healthy eating, and the hidden foods that may be harming your health: ▶️ https://youtu.be/ZKAH3GGq2cg ▶️ https://youtu.be/rIgXXXsL69s ▶️ https://youtu.be/H0SE-_unHQ0 Check out this article for a deep dive on the benefits of intermittent fasting and a comprehensive guide on how it's done: https://drbrg.co/4hegjYd Just so you know, my full line of high-quality supplements is available on Amazon — search Dr. Berg Supplements. Whole-grain cereals, such as oats, are often promoted as a healthy breakfast. Whole-grain oats are commonly associated with lowering cholesterol, but you need over 4 servings to make just a small change. This causes a significant blood sugar spike. Whole wheat cereals made from modern wheat can raise blood sugar more than many people realize. Starting your day with a high-starch breakfast may contribute to blood sugar fluctuations, sugar cravings, and increased hunger later in the day. The best breakfast may be no breakfast at all! If you reduce sugar and starch intake and stop snacking, you may find you’re no longer hungry in the morning. Extending your overnight fast can help support metabolic health. Keep it simple: eat when you’re hungry, not because it’s breakfast time. The #1 Way to Stop Tartar From Coming Back for Good

What causes tartar? If dental cleanings haven’t scratched the surface, the secret to tartar removal may be addressing the root cause. Discover how to prevent tartar and keep it from coming back. Tartar buildup can irritate your gums, causing inflammation, bleeding, and allowing bacteria to invade the gum tissue. While brushing your teeth and getting regular dental cleanings are important, they can also introduce oral bacteria into your bloodstream. Researchers have found oral bacteria in the arterial plaque of heart attack and stroke victims, as well as in the synovial fluid of people with rheumatoid arthritis. Plaque is a soft, living bacterial biofilm that hasn’t yet calcified and is associated with a more acidic environment that can increase the risk of cavities. Tartar is hardened, calcified plaque that can’t be removed with brushing and requires a professional dental cleaning. Once tartar is removed, the key is preventing it from coming back. Some people notice more tartar buildup on a keto diet, but that doesn’t mean you need to change your diet. Just apply these simple tartar prevention tips to help prevent tartar buildup. One vaping device can deliver the equivalent of hundreds of cigarette puffs. Many people don’t realize that the average vaping device contains about 650 mg of nicotine, making nicotine addiction easy to develop. Flavorings used in vapes were never intended to be inhaled. When you vape, the aerosol enters your lungs and bloodstream, exposing your body to nicotine and other toxic compounds. Every time you use a vape, your nicotine receptors become desensitized, increasing your craving for more nicotine over time. Nicotine is also a stimulant that constricts blood vessels, promotes inflammation, and can lead to chemical dependence. One of the most common vaping myths is that vapes only contain water vapor. In reality, many vaping products contain solvents, glycerin, synthetic flavorings, formaldehyde, and other toxic byproducts in addition to nicotine.
