    The Neglected Hormone

Progesterone is often associated with women, but what about progesterone in men? A hormonal imbalance caused by low progesterone can be just as problematic for men as it is for women. Find out about the importance of progesterone for men in this video. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Progesterone in men 0:15 Progesterone benefits 1:37 What causes low progesterone levels? 2:22 Pregnenolone 3:00 Cofactors for pregnenolone 3:54 Factors contributing to hormonal imbalance 6:00 Vitamin D and hormone balance 6:45 How to boost testosterone In this video, we’re going to talk about progesterone in men. Progesterone is a precursor for testosterone and helps maintain healthy testosterone levels. Potential progesterone benefits for men include the following: •Anti-inflammatory •Decreases inflammation in the brain •Increases neurogenesis •Protects against dementia, Parkinson's, and Alzheimer's •Anti-depressant effects •Helps increase the production of sperm •Helps maintain muscle mass •Supports the immune system •Prevents the enlargement of the prostate •Helps reduce the risk of breast tissue in men Cholesterol is the raw material for all steroid hormones in the body. Statins block cholesterol and can inhibit your ability to make important hormones, leading to hormonal imbalance. Sardines, organ meats, fatty meat, and whole milk cheese are the best sources of cholesterol. Cholesterol is turned into pregnenolone, a “happy” hormone that helps increase other hormones. Pregnenolone is the precursor to progesterone. These 3 cofactors allow you to turn cholesterol into pregnenolone. 1. Magnesium Many people are deficient in magnesium. Increasing magnesium can often solve low testosterone. Avocados, leafy greens, pumpkin seeds, dark chocolate, or magnesium glycinate supplements are good sources of magnesium. 2. Zinc Zinc can increase testosterone levels. Shellfish, oysters, and red meat are the best sources of zinc. 3. Vitamin B3 Nutritional yeast supplements are the best source of niacin. Chronic stress, insulin, and endocrine disruptors can interfere with the biochemical pathways that support healthy hormone balance. Alcohol also decreases testosterone. Inflammation can negatively affect progesterone in men. Vitamin D can indirectly increase progesterone and testosterone by decreasing inflammation. You need at least 10,000 IU per day! If you have low progesterone or low testosterone, you’ll need around 20,000 IU per day. If you want to boost testosterone, you need to consume quality protein. Grass-fed red meat is the best source. High-intensity interval training and resistance training stimulate the body to make more testosterone. Avoid overtraining! --- Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

    THIS HAS GOT TO CEASE!!

What would happen to your body if you were put on 48 different medications? This is the average number of medications a person takes in an assisted living home in the United States. Hal Cranmer, owner of A Paradise for Parents, and Claud Covaci, CEO of Synkwise, weigh in on the true cost of healthcare. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Welcome, Hal Cranmer and Claud Covaci! 2:00 Hal’s protocol in his assisted living homes 3:48 Dementia in assisted living homes 6:13 The truth about medication vs. food 7:22 Healthcare encourages medication 8:54 Raising awareness 11:15 What do you think about this problem? DATA: https://aparadiseforparents.com/ Please join me in welcoming Hal Cranmer and Claud Covaci! Claud is the CEO of a software company that manages the medications people take in assisted living homes. In a sampling of 100 residents, the average resident is on 48 medications. Some residents were even taking up to 91 medications! This isn’t healthcare. In Hal’s assisted living homes, he implements programs to help people get off their medications. Many of his residents have seen a 50% decrease in medication usage. Hal focuses on diet and doesn't serve ultra-processed foods in his facilities. Dementia is the top problem in assisted living homes and is extremely expensive, costing an average of $800,000 to $1.5 million per person. Hal explains that dementia starts in your 30s and 40s, so it’s a very difficult condition to reverse. Under Hal’s protocol, he has seen improvement, even in people with dementia. The US healthcare system is focused on medicine, not food, but food is the most significant contributor to your health! Medications treat the side effects of junk food consumption, and the side effects of medications are then treated with more medication. The ultimate goal should be to decrease medications, get people off them, and hopefully help them regain independence. The current healthcare model does not support these goals. One record for a single patient shows they’re on medication for high blood pressure, cholesterol, tremors, blood clots, stool softeners, antidepressants, seizures, insulin, schizophrenia, runny nose, nausea, prostate enlargement, and more. This is insane! Failing to address the diet before prescribing these medications misses the root cause of the problems. Why Do Most Indian Men Carry Abdominal Bulges?!

I have surprising new information about the causes of belly fat that goes beyond eating too many carbs. Watch this fascinating interview with Dr. Roshani Sanghani as we discuss health problems that stem from diet. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: How to lose belly fat 0:14 Welcome, Dr. Roshani Sanghani! 1:17 Health problems and protruding bellies in India 6:28 Shifting perspectives and focusing on diet 10:24 Carbohydrates in the Indian diet 16:00 Starches and carbohydrates 21:38 Vegetarians and protein 27:16 Eggs and cholesterol 29:04 Digestive problems DR. ROSHANI SANGHANI, MD Website: https://reisaanhealth.com/ Watch the Part 1 Here: ▶️ • Why Do Most Indian Men Have a Protruding P... Please join me in welcoming endocrinologist Dr. Roshani Sanghani. Dr. Sanghani explains the different health problems in India, including insulin resistance, diabetes, fatty liver, and protruding bellies. These problems are starting to occur in young children—1 in 3 Indian children have high triglycerides and a fatty liver. Endocrinologists do not focus on carbohydrates triggering insulin while in medical school. Dr. Sanghani tells us that she spent very little time on the lifestyle aspect of disease and much more time learning about prescriptions. Dr. Sanghani explains that endocrinologists prescribe insulin according to the patient's carbohydrate intake. It finally dawned on her that by lowering the patient’s carbohydrate intake, they could lower their insulin. She traveled to India, determined to share this information with her patients. India has been badly affected by low-fat, low-calorie dietary marketing. Dr. Sanghani explains a typical day of eating in the Indian diet consists of snacking, high carbohydrate intake, and very little protein. Many Indians are vegetarian, making it very difficult for them to meet their protein requirements. Many Indian vegetarians are okay with dairy and consume yogurt, milk, and paneer cheese for protein. She also recommends whey protein for her vegetarian patients. Although not a whole food, it’s an ideal way for a vegetarian to increase their protein intake. Some vegetarians are fine with adding eggs to their diet, although some are concerned about dietary cholesterol. There’s no proven link between dietary cholesterol and bad cholesterol in the blood. Tofu and tempeh are also protein options for vegetarians in India. Dr. Sanghani helps her patients learn to read labels and understand the problem with processed grains and starches. She focuses on first increasing protein, then decreasing carbs while increasing salad intake. Some of her patients wear continuous glucose monitors to understand the effects of carbohydrates. --- Learn more about your ad choices. Intermittent Water Drinking: DON'T Drink Until Parched

We’re told we need to drink often to stay hydrated. But is that really true? SUBSCRIBE TO MY NEWSLETTER HERE: https://drbrg.co/3TdtIE7 DATA: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/27241263/ 0:00 Introduction: Is drinking a lot of water healthy? 0:45 Understanding thirst 1:52 Oxytocin explained 2:53 Intermittent drinking 4:10 What happens when you drink too much water? 7:18 Microplastics in water 7:58 Get unfiltered health information by signing up for my newsletter Is it healthy to drink water all day long? Let’s talk about it. Yes, we need water—I’m not against drinking water. But I think we need to rethink the concept of sipping on something constantly. An interesting research paper suggests that thirst triggers oxytocin, the trust and love hormone. This is also a powerful stress-reducing hormone. If you drink something all day long, you may not trigger oxytocin as much as if you waited until your body gave you signals of thirst. We know the importance of eating intermittently, but what about drinking intermittently? We don’t want to reduce the quantity of water we drink, but what if we decrease the frequency we drink? Drinking too much water can dilute your stomach acid and affect your digestion. It can also flush out electrolytes and lead to low sodium levels. A sodium deficiency may cause fatigue, weakness, an increase in adrenaline, and many other health concerns. You need a combination of water and sodium in your diet to really hydrate your body. I think we need to ask ourselves more often whether we’re actually thirsty or not. You may even find your stress goes down a bit if you don’t over-hydrate. When new research is presented, it’s important to look beyond the headlines. Read the study carefully, see what the researchers are actually comparing, and ask questions like who funded the research. Eggs contain more than 850 proteins and are one of the richest dietary sources of choline. Just two eggs provide about 300 mg of choline. Choline is an essential building block for acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter that supports communication between neurons. Many Alzheimer’s medications work by slowing the breakdown of acetylcholine. Eggs also contain lutein, another important nutrient that supports brain health and cognitive health. Eggs are true brain food, providing high-quality protein, choline, lutein, B vitamins, folate, iodine, selenium, trace minerals, and omega-3 fatty acids. Today I want to share some new interesting information on how to put diabetes in remission. If you fix insulin resistance, you can fix your type 2 diabetes. But, if you have a fatty liver, you can't get rid of insulin resistance. If you have insulin resistance, pre-diabetes, or diabetes, you need to focus on removing fat from your liver. You can develop insulin resistance with less than two percent of the liver being fatty. The good news is that the brain and body love to run on ketones instead of glucose for fuel. It’s crucial to start running your body on ketones to fix insulin resistance and other health concerns. When you decrease your blood glucose, the body starts using ketones. Within six days of running the body on ketones, you can significantly improve the effects of insulin resistance in your liver. The ketogenic diet has been shown to decrease 50 percent of the fat in a person’s liver within two weeks. Key things to start doing right now: 1. Get on the ketogenic diet 2. Consume a moderate amount of protein 3. Consume apple cider vinegar (one to two tablespoons in water) 4. Let your appetite dictate when you eat (eat less frequently) 5. Exercise on a regular basis Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 58, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. The OPTIMAL Way to Burn Fat and Build Muscle Naturally

Growth hormone supports anti-aging and can boost fat loss, but human growth hormone supplements don’t always produce the best results. In this video, I’ll show you how to boost growth hormone naturally by up to 2000% for the most growth hormone benefits! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) Chapters: 0:00 Introduction: How to increase HGH naturally 0:21 Growth hormone function 1:18 Growth hormone and IGF-1 3:50 How to boost growth hormone by 2-3x 6:20 increase HGH by 5-10x 7:45 Boost human growth hormone by 10-15x 8:05 The best way to boost growth hormone naturally Growth hormone is vital for fat loss, muscle building, repair, and recovery. However, it declines with age—so it’s something you want to boost naturally. When growth hormone levels decrease, we lose muscle mass, gain body fat, experience a decline in bone density, our skin becomes thinner, and insulin sensitivity decreases. Growth hormone works by signaling the hormone IGF-1 through a conversion process in the liver with the help of insulin. Although insulin is necessary for this process, excessive insulin can inhibit growth hormone. Obesity, sugar, stress, alcohol, overeating, low vitamin D, and poor sleep can also block growth hormone. To boost growth hormone naturally by 2 to 3x, try the following: •Increase GABA and melatonin •L-glutamine •Arginine (Avoid taking this close to a workout) •Cold therapy •Alpha-GPC •Hypoxia training •Keto diet •High-protein diet Deep sleep and intermittent fasting can significantly increase growth hormone levels by up to 5-10 times. To boost growth hormone by 10-15x, try prolonged fasting. The best way to boost human growth hormone is through high-intensity exercise. Try working with heavy loads for the best natural HGH booster. Squats, deadlifts, sprinting, and CrossFit can further boost growth hormone levels. #1 Deficiency Behind BAD EYESIGHT

By the age of 45, most people need glasses! They're known as corrective lenses, but they don’t actually improve eyesight. Is it possible to improve eyesight naturally? Find out how to improve eyesight and eye health in this video. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: How to improve eyesight naturally 0:38 Contrast sensitivity loss 2:05 Carotenoids 2:55 Light to improve eyesight 3:19 How to improve eyesight 3:52 The sun and eye health 4:24 Zeaxanthin and lutein for eyes 5:25 Avoid these foods for healthy eyes 5:43 The best diet for eyesight improvement 6:19 Important vitamins for the eyes DATA: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science... Vitamin D3 Highdosage The Alternative to the Previous Therapy of Glaucoma: https://www.amazon.com/Vitamin-Highdo... Did you know that the more you wear your glasses, the stronger prescription you’ll need? Contrast sensitivity loss is an eye problem doctors don’t commonly check for. This condition affects the ability to differentiate between shades of grey, causing blurry vision, especially in low light. Carotenoids are antioxidants that protect the eyes against blue light, chemicals, damage from diabetes, and more. However, as we age, carotenoids decrease, so eye protection also decreases. Full-spectrum light can be helpful but will not solve the problem. To improve eyesight, you need to increase the efficiency of the retina. Sunlight is vital for eye and retina health. It allows UV and infrared light into the eye and can also help build up the eye’s melatonin. You can increase carotenoids in the eye by consuming foods with lutein and zeaxanthin. Both carotenoids are found in egg yolks. If you choose supplements with lutein and zeaxanthin, look for one with at least 10 mg of lutein and 2 mg of zeaxanthin. Research has shown significant improvement in macular degeneration and contrast sensitivity loss in people who took lutein and zeaxanthin for 12 weeks. Ophthalmologist Dr. Chris Knobbe stresses the importance of removing seed oils from the diet and moving towards an ancestral diet for improved eyesight and eye health. Fatty fish like salmon contain omega-3s, which support eye health and reduce inflammation. DHA is vital for the brain and retina and is found in fish oil and cod liver oil. Vitamin D is critical for every part of the eye and can help with conditions like glaucoma, macular degeneration, and retinopathy. Take at least 10,000 IU of vitamin D every day. Vitamin A is essential, especially for night vision. Zinc can also help! #health #keto #ketodiet #weightloss #ketolifestyle #intermittentfasting #lowcarb Thanks for watching! I hope these eye health tips help improve your eyesight. I’ll see you in the next video. --- Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

My Vitamin D Levels STUNK for Decades

Low vitamin D can put you at risk for cancer, autoimmune diseases, and all sorts of health problems. Find out about the low vitamin D symptoms to look out for and the truth about vitamin D dosage. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: Vitamin D and inflammation 1:18 Blood vitamin D levels 1:35 Barriers to vitamin D absorption 2:34 How much vitamin D should I take? 3:43 Vitamin D3 research 5:32 What about vitamin D toxicity? 7:27 Vitamin D dosage DATA: https://www.grassrootshealth.net/blog...https://academic.oup.com/jcem/article...https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles... https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles...https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/17488...https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/24494...https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/21993... https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/26305... https://www.cam.ac.uk/research/news/v... Did you know you could have normal blood vitamin D levels but still have a vitamin D deficiency? Vitamin D resistance interferes with vitamin D levels and vitamin D absorption. Genetic problems, Lyme disease, and certain infections downgrade the vitamin D receptor. A deficiency in zinc, magnesium, or vitamin K2 will inhibit vitamin D function in the body. High cortisol, darker skin, diabetes, obesity, and other health conditions will also affect vitamin D absorption. The RDA for vitamin D is only 600 IU when you actually need 8,895 IU every day! Research has shown that low vitamin D levels increase your risk for viral infections. People with tumors and cancer have been found to have low vitamin D. New research has shown the benefits of vitamin D for autoimmune conditions. Dr. Coimbra from Brazil has used high vitamin D levels to treat patients with autoimmune conditions, and the results have been amazing. Another doctor using high doses of vitamin D3 has over 900 video testimonials of improvement in people with autoimmune diseases. One eye doctor in Germany wrote a book about using high doses of vitamin D3 for glaucoma and other eye-related problems. “The Pharmacological Basis of Therapeutics 4th Edition” addressed vitamin D resistance and vitamin D dosage of 50,000 IU to up to 500,000 IU! Vitamin D allows you to absorb more calcium, so when you take high doses of vitamin D, make sure you’re not consuming calcium supplements. Take vitamin D with magnesium because it helps regulate calcium. When using high doses of vitamin D, always check with your doctor. High doses of vitamin D can increase blood/urine calcium levels resulting in calcium deposits in the kidney. Also drink 2.5 liters of fluids per day, take cofactors with vitamin D (magnesium, K2 and zinc) and have your doctor monitor your PTH, vitamin D blood levels and creatinine and avoid excess calcium supplements of high calcium foods when taking vitamin D levels over 10,000 IUs. --- Learn more about your ad choices. How to Get Full and Glossy Hair

If you want thick, shiny hair, this video’s for you. Find out how to get thicker hair with the best vitamins for hair health. Incorporate the best foods for hair growth into your diet today for shiny, lustrous locks. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: How to get thick and shiny hair 0:20 Biotin deficiency and hair health 2:07 How to make hair shiny with vitamin A 2:30 How to get thicker hair with omega-3 fatty acids 3:10 L. reuteri for healthy hair 3:47 Copper deficiency and hair health 6:44 Foods for hair growth Magnesium Videos: ▶️ • The BEST and WORST Forms of Magnesium ▶️ • The Unique Benefits of Magnesium Glycinate... How to Fix Your Gut: ▶️ • Fix Your Gut with ONE Microbe Soil, Grass and Cancer: https://www.amazon.com/Soil-Grass-Can... Today, I’m going to tell you how to get thick and shiny hair naturally! Biotin is a B vitamin that many people take for thick, shiny hair. It can come from the diet, but it can also come from the gut microbiome. The good bacteria in your gut make biotin. This is why a common side effect of antibiotics is hair problems. When you stop taking biotin, you may notice that the problem comes right back, so it’s vital to address gut health when dealing with biotin deficiency. Liver and egg yolks are the best sources of biotin. Nutritional yeast and salmon also contain biotin. Alcohol, raw eggs, and magnesium deficiency can interfere with biotin absorption. Zinc and copper are essential for biotin absorption and function. Retinol, the active form of vitamin A, is only found in animal foods. Liver and egg yolks are the best sources, but you can also find vitamin A in shellfish and cod liver oil. Vitamin A helps control sebum, so it’s very beneficial for thick, shiny hair! For healthy hair, reduce your omega-6 fat intake and increase your omega-3s. Omega-3 fatty acids are vital for healthy hair. Fish oil and cod liver oil are excellent sources of omega-3s. L. reuteri is a microbe missing in 96% of the population. It increases sebum, which makes hair shiny, and it may also increase hair growth. Copper is used in many different enzymes, including the enzyme that helps prevent iron accumulation in your tissues. Iron is vital for hair growth, but we need the right balance. NPK fertilizer in our foods is a common cause of copper deficiency. If the grass is deficient in copper, the animals that eat the grass will also be deficient. Animals with copper deficiency have very dull hair. If this can happen to sheep and cows, it can definitely happen to us! Overconsumption of iron, often from fortified wheat products, can lock up your copper and contribute to copper deficiency. Other contributors to copper deficiency include high fructose corn syrup and high zinc intake. If you want healthy hair, add the following foods to your diet: •Fermented foods (i.e. kefir, sauerkraut, kimchi) •Liver •Egg yolks •Cod liver oil/cod liver •Organic foods •Trace minerals --- Learn more about your ad choices. This Will Irritate You Off!

Less than 1% of beef sold in the U.S. is truly grass-fed. Misleading food labels and industry loopholes surround the grass-fed beef marketing lies. Find out about the grass-fed scam and what you can do to make healthy choices. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: Grass-fed beef exposed 1:36 Grass fed vs. grain fed 2:52 Antibiotics and grass-fed beef 3:29 Feedlots in the U.S. 4:41 100% grass-fed beef In 2016, the USDA dropped the official definition of grass-fed. Technically, all cows are grass-fed until the last 3 to 6 months of their lives, when they’re typically fattened with grains. However, despite misleading food labels, over 99% of beef in the store is not truly grass-fed. Cows are fed grains to quickly fatten them up, but these aren’t “healthy” grains like many people assume. Cows in feedlots are fed DDGS (dried distillers grain with solubles), a cheap waste product of GMO, inedible dent corn used for making ethanol. This is incredibly profitable because it causes the cows to gain weight quickly for very little cost. Fiber, limestone, and synthetic vitamins and minerals are added to this corn byproduct. Monensin, an antibiotic, is also added. Antibiotics are regularly used in feedlots in the U.S. to quickly increase weight gain in animals. Beta-agonists are also used to enhance muscle growth. Some studies have shown that the use of this medication in animals can cause anxiety in the humans who consume them. There are two types of feedlots: open and closed. In closed feedlots, the cows only get 24 square feet of space and around 150 square feet in open feedlots. For truly grass-fed beef, look for 100% grass-fed. Support small farmers for the healthiest meat and to help put an end to the grass-fed scam!
