Why Are We Subjecting Our Children to This?

Why are we feeding our kids ultra-processed foods? In 1948, the childhood obesity rate was less than 1%, and food allergies, asthma, and autism were virtually non-existent. Discover the detrimental health consequences of the ultra-processed food diet in this video. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: Obesity, disease, and diet in 1948 3:46 Obesity in children 4:10 Ultra-processed foods 4:34 The problem with the ultra-processed food diet 6:07 Ultra-processed food calories today 6:29 Seed oils 7:00 Refined starches Download the FREE Dr. Berg Junk Food Meter App here: https://drbrg.co/4ngJiL1 Apple Download: https://drbrg.co/3JwV70J Android Download: https://drbrg.co/4mv0Bbd When my father was a child in 1948, he recalls a different way of life. Sugary cereals like Fruit Loops, Captain Crunch, and Fruity Pebbles did not line the aisles of the grocery store. Children did not have mid-morning snacks at school and were told not to spoil their appetites by eating before dinner. Saturated fats were not demonized as they are today. Lard and tallow were found in every kitchen, and red meat was a dietary staple. Most people had gardens and relied on the skill of canning to get them through the winter. Obesity and chronic disease in childhood were uncommon, while childhood obesity, food allergies, asthma, and autism plague the children of today! The largest category of ultra-processed foods are snack foods. The problem with snacking is that you spike insulin every time you eat. Carbohydrates create the most significant spike in insulin. Not only are we snacking, but we’re snacking on the worst foods! The pancreas is constantly working to pump out insulin to remove sugar from the blood. This eventually leads to insulin resistance, which is behind almost every chronic illness, including a fatty liver, high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity, inflammatory diseases, mood disorders, dementia, and more. In 1948, we did not have not have ultra-processed food calories. Today, 65% of the teenage diet comes from ultra-processed food calories. This number is around 50% for adults and 45% for toddlers. Seed oils, such as soy, corn, cottonseed, and canola, are the worst ultra-processed food ingredients. Around 25% to 30% of all our calories come from seed oils. Grain-based starches generate 220 billion dollars per year! Highly processed industrial starches such as modified food starch, modified cornstarch, and maltodextrin spike blood sugar—often higher than consuming sugar does! --- Learn more about your ad choices. NEVER Consume Baking Soda Until You Watch This!

Is baking soda safe to drink? It has been used in countless natural remedies, but are there any baking soda dangers you should be aware of? Watch this video before drinking baking soda or using a baking soda remedy! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) Chapters: 0:00 Introduction: Is baking soda safe to drink? 0:39 Baking soda health benefits 0:49 Baking soda for an acid stomach 2:49 Baking soda for teeth and oral health 4:33 How to safely use baking soda 5:11 Other natural remedies using baking soda Sodium bicarbonate is an alkaline compound made naturally by the pancreas to help neutralize stomach acid as it enters the small intestine. A poorly functioning pancreas can result in bloating, diarrhea, and constipation. Baking soda can work as a temporary solution for an acid stomach, but not for indigestion! Indigestion is caused by low stomach acid, so baking soda would only worsen the problem. Apple cider vinegar and betaine hydrochloride can help with indigestion. GERD and acid reflux are also related to low stomach acid, but baking soda can help temporarily. ACV and betaine hydrochloride are better long-term solutions. Baking soda can also help with gastritis, but it should be taken with zinc carnosine for this problem. Stomach acid should be highly acidic with a pH between 1 and 3. Drinking baking soda for long periods can neutralize your stomach acid, inhibiting your ability to digest protein, absorb B12, and absorb minerals. Low stomach acid can also lower your ability to kill microbes and pathogens in your food. Baking soda neutralizes the acid in your mouth and is an excellent addition to toothpaste. It can also help relieve itching related to a kidney problem and enhance athletic performance! Baking soda consumption can help prevent kidney stones and can also be helpful if you have a UTI. Baking soda can be used topically for certain insect bites, especially for fire ant bites and bee stings. It can also be used as pest control for insects like cockroaches. Don't take baking soda with vinegar or lemon juice! This creates a significant amount of carbon dioxide, which can leave you feeling bloated. Is it possible that the top diseases could really be nutritional deficiencies? Find out more. Video on The EAT-Lancet Commission: ▶️ https://youtu.be/v8R0vInlGgk DATA: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/35247225 0:00 Introduction: Are diseases nutritional deficiencies? 0:42 Top diseases that could be nutrient deficiencies 6:25 Recommended foods by the EAT-Lancet commission 9:10 Foods you really need to support your health 13:53 Learn more about nutritious foods! Let’s talk about the top diseases that could really be nutritional deficiencies. If you have a disease, doctors don't typically do much of a deep dive into vitamin or mineral deficiencies. They tend to focus more on medications and treatments instead of causes like deficiencies. A lack of certain nutrients, like vitamins A, D, E, and so many more, can lead to debilitating health conditions. These deficiencies can cause problems with essentially every part of the body. So, can we create health without nutrients? No, I don’t think so. With nutrients being so important for your health, it makes sense that a lack of nutrients would be involved in disease. Many recommended foods are more likely to create deficiencies and destroy your health rather than build your health. A lot of foods your body needs are also left out of recommended diets. Here are a few examples of foods that are often left out of the most commonly suggested diets but are essential to support a healthy body: • Egg yolks • Animal protein and animal products • Red meat • Seafood • Fatty fish • Organ meats Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 57, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Today we're going to talk about natural remedies for AIDS and HIV. I'm reading a book called "What really causes AIDS," by professor Harold D. Foster—it's fascinating because it involves nutrition. When you have HIV, over time, if the immune system is weak, it can shift to AIDS. AIDS is a condition where you don't really have an immune system anymore. This condition targets a key player in your immune system called the T helper cell. Without the T helper cells, your immune system can't work how it needs to. Without these cells, you can also develop serious secondary problems like tumors or cancer. Glutathione is the key antioxidant for all your cells, and it's intimately involved with your immune system. However, HIV depletes the precursors to make glutathione. If you were to build up these precursors, and therefore, your glutathione, you could potentially prevent the transition of HIV to AIDS. Other viruses use this mechanism, including hepatitis C, hepatitis B, and coxsackie. The precursors for glutathione are: • Selenium • Cysteine • Glutamine • Tryptophan A potential natural protocol for HIV and AIDS: • Selenium (400 mcg) • Cysteine • Glutamine • Tryptophan • NAC Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 58, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. So, let’s talk about longevity. Of course there are common signs of aging like wrinkles, gray hair, or loss of hearing. But these aren’t actually good indicators of how old someone is or how long they might live. I believe the best indicator to determine longevity is muscle strength. As a person ages, they lose muscle mass and strength. There is a strong association between the loss of muscle strength and mortality. The muscles that are affected first are the anterior thigh muscles (the quadriceps). One test that is used to determine if someone has sarcopenia (muscle atrophy) is the sit-to-stand time test or a chair-to-stand test. You can also try the hand grip strength test. The best ways to support longevity: 1. Take vitamin D 2. Do resistance-type exercise 3. Consume nutrient-dense foods 4. Do fasting 5. Keep your cortisol low 6. Improve your state of mind 7. Consume an adequate amount of quality protein 8. Take HMB (if you have sarcopenia) Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 57, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. The Best Fix for Dry and Wrinkled Skin

Find out about the best remedy for dry, wrinkled hands that can visibly improve your skin naturally. Uploaded 26-05-24 Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) Just so you know, my full line of high-quality supplements is available on Amazon — search Dr. Berg Supplements. 0:00 Introduction: The best remedy for dry, wrinkled hands 0:12 The problem with most moisturizers 0:42 Natural remedies for dry skin 0:53 The best moisturizer for dry skin 4:15 Hyaluronic acid dosage for dry skin In this video, I’m going to share the #1 remedy for dry hands and dry skin. Most moisturizers contain alcohol, which dries and dehydrates your skin. Your moisturizer also gets absorbed into your skin, then into your bloodstream and liver. There are many natural dry skin remedies that can help, such as vitamin E, coconut oil, and tallow, but the best remedy for dry skin is hyaluronic acid. Many of your cells make hyaluronic acid, which is also found in your skin and joints. Hyaluronic acid holds 1000 times its weight in water and can keep your skin looking youthful. It’s intimately involved in wound repair and can repair skin after a sunburn. As we age, our hyaluronic acid decreases. There are also health conditions like progeria that cause you to lose hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid can be injected, used topically, or taken orally. When taken orally, 2.5% of hyaluronic acid is absorbed, which can be enough to replace what you lose as you age. To get rid of dry, wrinkled hands and skin, take 200 mg of hyaluronic acid daily. You can also use it topically. Look for hyaluronic acid without alcohol, wet your hands, and apply a couple of drops. Rub your hands together to apply. You can also do this to your face. Also, focus on internal health to get rid of dry skin. Try Healthy Keto® to keep your skin looking healthy. Tinnitus is ringing in the ears, and it can drive a person crazy. Today I want to cover some tips to get rid of tinnitus naturally. Tinnitus is a little bit mysterious and hasn’t been fully figured out. Typical treatments for tinnitus are medications called Gabapentin and Klonopin. These two medications both have a mechanism to increase GABA in the brain. GABA is an inhibitory neurotransmitter and slows down the central nervous system. An interesting study shows that people with tinnitus may have lowered GABA and upregulated glutamate. Glutamate stimulates the brain. The problem with GABA supplements is that they don’t cross the blood-brain barrier. This means they will have a difficult time penetrating into the brain to create any effect. However, an amino acid called taurine turns into GABA and can pass the blood-brain barrier. Just be sure to take taurine on an empty stomach. In addition to increasing GABA, it’s essential to inhibit glutamate. MSG and aspartame are high in glutamate, so it’s important to avoid foods containing these ingredients. Other sources of glutamate to avoid: • Hydrolyzed protein • Calcium caseinate • Yeast extract • Textured protein • Whey protein • Soy protein isolates • Soy sauce #tinnitus #tinnitus_solution #tinnitusrelief #tinnitusawareness Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 58, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Find out about the best natural remedy for ADD/ADHD in adults and children. Research on this subject has been ignored for 70 years! William Kaufman MD PhD Link: https://isom.ca/profile/william-kaufman/ https://hull.ee/index.php/2021/03/02/taking-the-cure-the-pioneering-work-of-william-kaufman-arthritis-and-adhd/ 0:00 Introduction: The best natural remedy for ADD/ADHD 1:13 The benefits of vitamin B3 2:27 Vitamin B3 for ADD or ADHD symptoms 3:20 Niacinamide supplements In this video, we’re going to talk about some fascinating data from the research of Dr. William Kaufman, M.D. He found that niacinamide in high doses is an effective remedy for ADD (attention deficit disorder) or ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder). Vitamin B3 is the precursor for NAD, which helps your cells extract energy from food. When you eat, the NAD molecule helps take the electrons from your food and turn them into ATP for energy. Vitamin B3 helps your nerve cells get more energy. It may help decrease hyperactivity and increase focus at the same time! Nutrient deficiencies can cause the brain and nervous system to become hyperexcited. Niacinamide is a water-soluble version of vitamin B3 that can help energize your neurons and effectively mitigate ADD or ADHD symptoms. Because niacinamide is water-soluble, it doesn’t stay in the body long. This means you should take about 250 mg six to eight times per day. This can also be effective for ADD or ADHD in children. It’s also important to clean up your diet to help with the symptoms of ADD or ADHD. Niacinamide supplements cannot replace a healthy diet. Always check with your doctor before stopping your medications. Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 59, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis and Intermittent Fasting. Check out Manuel Suarez's YouTube Channel Here: https://www.youtube.com/c/ManuelSuarezNinja 0:00 Introduction: Understanding type 1 diabetes 0:10 What is type 1 diabetes? 0:30 Low-carb and type 1 diabetes 1:06 Welcome, Manuel Suarez! 1:32 Manuel’s story 10:13 His transition into keto 17:16 His exercise routine 22:32 An important tip for type 1 diabetes We have a wonderful guest with us today! Manuel Suarez is going to share his incredible story and how he uses the keto diet and intermittent fasting as tools to deal with type 1 diabetes. Type 1 diabetes is a situation where you can’t produce insulin, which means you can’t regulate your blood sugar. A person with type 1 diabetes depends on insulin medication to keep their blood sugar from going too high. But, if you lower your carbohydrates, you can decrease your need for insulin. High blood sugar is unhealthy, but so is high insulin. The goal is to take the least amount of insulin possible to have normal blood sugar levels. Before keto and fasting, Manuel was taking around 40 units of fast-acting insulin a day and 25 units of long-acting insulin a day. After being on the keto diet and intermittent fasting, he only takes two to five units of fast-acting insulin daily and ten units of long-acting insulin daily. One of the components he attributes his success to is exercising regularly. What works best for him is a high-intensity workout for 30 minutes three to four times per week. A key tip to take away is that if you’re doing OMAD, try having your meal between 2 pm and 3 pm to maximize your results. I think this interview will encourage you and help answer some of your questions about type 1 diabetes in relation to keto and fasting. Enjoy! Today I want to cover the best foods for kidney disease. The top causes of kidney problems are diabetes, insulin resistance, and high-sugar, high-carb diets. Consuming a low-carb diet, like the Healthy Keto® diet, and doing intermittent fasting are two of the best things you can do to help prevent kidney disease. But, if you have stage 3A through stage 5 kidney disease, you may want to consider making some adjustments to your keto plan. If you have a kidney problem, it’s important to work with your doctor to make sure certain nutrients aren’t out of range. These nutrients include potassium, sodium, and phosphorus. Protein levels can also become too high if someone has a kidney problem. The best diet tips for kidney disease: • Consume lower amounts of high-quality protein (pasture-raised organic eggs, wild-caught fish, seafood, and grass-fed, grass-finished beef) • Consume lower amounts of sodium (2,300 mg of sodium per day) • Avoid processed foods and junk foods • Avoid high-potassium foods and consume low-potassium foods • Avoid soda • Avoid foods high in phosphorus • Take the natural form of certain vitamins (B vitamins, vitamin C, and vitamin D3) • Get plenty of omega-3 fatty acids (take cod liver oil) Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 58, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. How to Tighten and Flatten Stomach with Just a SINGLE EXERCISE

Find out how to lose belly fat fast for a toned, flat belly without doing hundreds of crunches or sit-ups! In this video, I’ll explain why a caloric deficit is not the best way to lose belly fat and give you the true key to weight loss. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: The truth about weight loss 1:45 Weight loss and insulin 6:26 Ketosis vs. fat adaptation 7:30 How to flatten the stomach 8:33 The dead bug exercise tutorial Link to Success Stories: https://drbrg.co/4gx2nVX A caloric deficit is not a sustainable way to lose weight or get a flat stomach! Most people find that their metabolism slows down in their 20s and 30s after a series of calorie-restrictive diets. Lowering calories increases hunger and cravings, which will require immense willpower and can stifle weight loss. The caloric deficit model is not sustainable! Insulin is the hormone that controls whether you burn or store fat. If you reduce insulin, you can tap into your body fat for energy. Carbohydrates have the most significant effect on insulin, while fat is neutral and protein has a moderate impact. All calories are not the same! To lose weight, you must lower insulin, which means you must reduce your carb intake. If you’re on a low-carb diet, your body can use both food and body fat for fuel. This eliminates hunger and cravings between meals. Fat provides more than double the energy of glucose. It takes 2 to 3 days to get into ketosis and 2 to 3 weeks for fat adaptation. Fat adaptation means your body is burning the most fat possible. Your body can burn ketones and fat, which are two different fuel sources. To get your body into ketosis, carbohydrates should make up about 5% of your diet, protein 20%, and fat 75%. Visceral fat in the abdomen may prevent a flat belly, but you can eliminate it with this diet. The dead bug exercise stimulates the fascia and muscles that can act as a girdle, giving you a flat belly fast! Do this exercise every day, and within 1 to 2 weeks, you will start to see amazing results! He is the author of the best-selling book The Healthy Keto Plan, and is the Director of Dr. Berg Nutritionals. Statins are typically prescribed when cholesterol levels are high. They block the production of cholesterol, but they also block the production of CoQ10, which is vital for muscle and heart health. If you’re taking statins, CoQ10 can help mitigate the side effects. Ubiquinol is a fast-acting form of CoQ10 and may be the best form to take. A typical amount is 200–400 mg. Instead of immediately taking statins, ask yourself: Why do you have high cholesterol in the first place? Refined carbohydrates and sugar can contribute to cholesterol production in the body. Low bile, gallbladder problems, or gallbladder removal can also contribute to high cholesterol.

These bedtime drinks for diabetics support healthy blood sugar levels as you sleep, which can prevent a blood sugar issue from developing in the first place. Try these bedtime drinks for better sleep tonight! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: Bedtime drinks for diabetics 0:28 Blood sugar at night with diabetes 1:44 The 7 best nighttime drinks for diabetics 2:55 How to lower blood sugar with berberine tea 3:53 Salt for diabetes Today, we’re going to talk about the best drinks for diabetes management and prevention to support healthy blood sugar as you sleep. These 7 drinks help improve sleep quality by preventing troublesome issues like night waking and nighttime urination. Blood sugar often decreases at night, increasing cortisol, which increases blood sugar levels. Poor sleep can also cause blood sugar issues, and frequent urination at night can contribute to this problem. Here are 7 nighttime drinks to help stabilize blood sugar levels throughout the night. Try these drinks to support healthy blood sugar levels and improve sleep. 1. Apple cider vinegar with cinnamon Add one to two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar with a pinch of cinnamon to a glass of water for the perfect blood sugar-balancing drink. 2. Chamomile tea Chamomile tea lowers cortisol and stabilizes blood sugar by directly supporting the cells in the pancreas. 3. Golden milk Combine turmeric and ginger with milk to make a delicious blood sugar-balancing latte. 4. Aloe vera juice Aloe vera is known to help with digestion and ulcers and can be applied topically to wounds, but it also potently affects the cells that make insulin. 5. Berberine tea This herb is close in effectiveness to Metformin, just without the side effects! 6. Electrolyte drinks (without sugar) Potassium and magnesium are vital for healthy blood sugar levels. Magnesium can significantly decrease cortisol, while potassium can reduce blood sugar and is essential for glucose storage in the liver and the muscles. Most people are not getting enough potassium! 7. Salt in water Sodium is an important electrolyte that helps reduce blood sugar and cortisol. Add it to water or your electrolyte drinks to help increase hydration. It also supports the adrenal glands, nerves, and muscles.
