The #1 Way to CLEANSE Your Colon Fast

How does your food turn into poop? In this video, I’ll explain the ins and outs of the digestive process to help you better understand the function of your digestive system. If you’re struggling with digestion and gut health, this video is for you. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: Food digestion explained 0:18 Stomach acid and the digestive system 0:52 Betaine hydrochloride and apple cider vinegar 1:42 The small intestine and the digestive process 3:50 The large intestine 4:25 Poop formation and the process of digestion 4:55 How to improve digestion Benefits of TUDCA: ▶️ • The Benefits of TUDCA How to Fix Your Gut: ▶️ • Fix Your Gut with ONE Microbe Digestion starts in the mouth, where food is broken down and then transferred to the stomach. The highly acidic stomach acid aids in protein digestion. The valve at the top of the stomach plays a vital role in keeping food in the stomach and preventing it from backing up into the esophagus. Many people think antacids are the solution to acid reflux or heartburn. Diluting stomach acid worsens this problem by inhibiting this valve from closing tightly. If you have acid reflux, you want to increase the acidity of your stomach. Diluted apple cider vinegar and betaine hydrochloride are effective remedies for this problem. Ninety percent of all digestion occurs in the small intestine. This is also the location of a leaky gut. Grains, gluten, junk food, refined sugar, and seed oils can cause a leaky gut. The liver makes bile, which is stored and concentrated in the gallbladder. Bile helps break down fats, extract nutrients from fats, and kill pathogens. Bile deficiency symptoms include bloating, burping, vision problems, and gallstones. Bile salts such as TUDCA can help digestion by breaking down cholesterol. Microbes break down food in the large intestine through fermentation. These microbes comprise 80% of your immune system and help make neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine. After your food travels through this intricate assembly line, it becomes stool. Your stool is mostly water and gets its pigment from your red blood cells. The smell is caused by gas from bacteria. Constipation and diarrhea are usually related to missing microbes. Antibiotics and chemicals like glyphosate can deplete microbes. Fermented foods and the L. reuteri microbe are great ways to increase microbes and improve digestion naturally. Intermittent fasting can also significantly improve digestion. Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 59, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. The Widespread Magnesium MISTAKE 50%+ People Are Making

You could be deficient in magnesium and not even know it! You can’t rely on blood tests to detect a magnesium deficiency. Learn to spot the signs of magnesium deficiency and avoid the most common magnesium mistakes so you don't end up deficient. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) Chapters: 0:00 Introduction: The most common magnesium deficiency mistake 0:25 Magnesium deficiency symptoms 0:42 The best magnesium sources 1:45 The best magnesium supplement 1:55 Magnesium benefits 3:15 How much magnesium should I take? 4:00 3 magnesium secrets You can have normal magnesium blood levels and still have a magnesium deficiency! This is because only 1% of magnesium is in your blood! The other 99% is inside your cells. Common magnesium deficiency symptoms include: •Muscle spasms •Muscle twitches •Anxiety •Poor sleep •Sugar cravings •Charley horses Almonds, spinach, and chocolate contain magnesium, but you would need to consume a lot to meet your requirements! Gut inflammation can decrease magnesium absorption by 60 to 70%. High-carb diets, alcohol, caffeine, and certain medications can deplete magnesium. Top-selling magnesium products often have poor absorption and can cause diarrhea. Take magnesium glycinate for the best absorption rate and to avoid the laxative effect. Magnesium is the master controller of calcium in the body, which is the primary communication signal between cells. Calcium often over-accumulates in the cells, which can lead to cellular damage. Magnesium is vital in regulating excess calcium in the body. It also helps prevent kidney stones. Calcium causes your muscles to contract, while magnesium causes them to relax. Tight muscles signify too much calcium and not enough magnesium. Magnesium also prevents heart attacks and problems with the heart’s rhythm. Correcting a magnesium deficiency takes time, and you need to make sure you’re taking enough. You may need 1000 to 1500 mg of magnesium daily to correct a deficiency. People with migraines, chronic pain, mood disorders, and diabetes may need more magnesium. Vitamin D won't work without magnesium. When you increase your magnesium intake, also increase your vitamin D. Vitamin B1 is also dependent on magnesium. Magnesium is vital in ATP production, so your magnesium intake directly affects your energy levels. Today, I'm going to share how you can do this technique right at home. If you have sinus congestion or your sinuses aren't draining, you can use this technique to help open your sinuses and breathe better. Common causes of sinus problems are infections, a fungus growing in your sinuses, or a cheese allergy. If you have a sinus issue, you should avoid cheese and sugar to see if that clears the problem up. Two of the best natural remedies for sinus congestion and other sinus issues are diluted kimchi juice and Spanish black radish. Before you use this acupressure technique, check your sinuses by plugging one nostril with your finger and breathing in, and then repeat with the other nostril. Rate how bad your sinuses are, and then give this acupressure technique a try. After you're done, check and rate your sinuses again—I think you'll notice a huge difference. Today I’m going to share a simple DIY allergy test. This is primarily for food allergies that you can't quite determine. During an allergic reaction, your pulse increases. A pulse oximeter is a great tool to help you check your pulse easily, but you can also check your pulse using your wrist or carotid artery. How to do a DIY allergy test: 1. Check and record your pulse rate: • In the morning, before getting out of bed • Before eating • 30 minutes after eating • 30 minutes after that • 30 minutes after that • Before bed 2. Record what you ate next to your pulse rate Typically, you could have an allergy if there is a difference between the low and high pulse rates above 16 points. The pulse rate also needs to be above 84. If you react to a meal, use this test over a few days, eliminating foods one at a time to help you isolate which ingredient is causing a problem. Common seed oils are: • Soy oil • Corn oil • Canola oil • Cottonseed oil • Safflower oil • Sunflower oil On average, we’re consuming way too many foods high in omega-6 fats. Ideally, a person should consume a 1:1 ratio of omega-3 fatty acids to omega-6 fatty acids. However, the average ratio is 15:1. This imbalance can lead to all kinds of health problems, especially in the cell membranes. Refined sugar also leads to health issues and is converted to fat, but the extra sugar doesn’t accumulate in the body like omega-6 fatty acids do. Omega-6 fatty acids (seed oils) lodge into your cells and accumulate in your tissues for 600 days. They are not water-soluble like sugar is and can't be burned off like sugar can. Both refined oils and refined sugar can deplete important nutrients. While certain whole foods, like fruit, have sugar, they also have nutrients and phytonutrients to help replenish what was lost and provide protection. But seed oils are a highly refined, over-processed part of a seed that doesn’t have any protective factors. To make seed oils they also use a solvent called hexane to extract the oil from the seed—is it possible some of this solvent could end up in the oil? Overall, while sugar isn't good for you, omega-6 fatty acids are worse for your health than sugar is. How Big Pharma Thrives on Keeping You Unwell

Would you believe me if I told you that we could end chronic disease in 10 weeks? Watch this fascinating interview with best-selling author Nina Teicholz, Ph.D., who has been researching the dietary guidelines for over 2 decades. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) SUBSCRIBE TO NINA'S SUBSTACK HERE: https://unsettledscience.substack.com... 0:00 Welcome, Nina Teicholz! 0:39 The solution to chronic disease 3:40 The ketogenic diet in modern medicine 6:14 Ketosis explained 7:40 The dietary guidelines 9:22 Chemicals and food additives 10:23 Sugar vs. starch 11:22 The best way to reverse chronic disease 12:45 Preventative tests Please join me in welcoming Nina Teicholz! Nina explains that a low-carb ketogenic diet is the best way to support disease reversal. There are over 100 clinical trials supporting that type 2 diabetes can be reversed in as little as 10 weeks. Hypertension, cardiovascular risk factors, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, and other chronic diseases can potentially also be reversed with dietary changes. The reversal rate of type 2 diabetes with the standard of care from doctors is 0.1%. In clinical trials with patients following a keto diet, the reversal rate is more than 50%! Insulin manufacturers and other drug companies primarily fund the American Heart Association and American Diabetes Association, so they are subject to direct conflicts of interest. Doctors have been taught to recommend low-fat diets, and there are countless baseless claims that keto is dangerous. Dietary guidelines significantly influence most Americans. By law, all federal food programs are required to follow these guidelines. Health professionals also use them as the gold standard in nutrition. However, many conflicts of interest are involved in these guidelines, including ties to both Big Food and Big Pharma. Giving accurate dietary guidelines to the American public is the best way to combat chronic disease. To get into a healthy state of ketosis, you should eat eggs, dairy, meat, shellfish, vegetables, and low-sugar fruits. Carbohydrates trigger hunger. Without glucose, your body can access your fat stores for energy between meals. Disclaimer: Dr. Eric Berg received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1988. 1 in 4 People Have This!!

Many people have liver toxicity and don't even know it! Discover the number 1 toxic liver remedy and the toxic liver symptoms to look out for. Uploaded 08-06-24 Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) Just so you know, my full line of high-quality supplements is available on Amazon — search Dr. Berg Supplements. 0:00 Introduction: Toxic liver remedies 0:15 The first signs of liver problems 1:37 NAC explained 2:08 Antioxidants and free radical damage 4:05 How to make NAC more potent In this video, we’re going to talk about the best remedy to support your liver health. It takes many years of damage before you’ll notice toxic liver symptoms. Some of the most common toxic liver symptoms include the following: • Yellow eyes • Yellow skin • Nausea • Vomiting • Red dots on the skin • Fatigue One of the best toxic liver remedies is NAC (N-acetyl cysteine). This remedy helps counter the effects of alcohol, smoking, drugs like ibuprofen, chemotherapy, radiation, and chemicals found in the environment, such as herbicides, pesticides, insecticides, and fungicides. NAC helps to replenish glutathione, a potent antioxidant that helps counter free radical damage. NAC enhances phase 1 and phase 2 detoxification in the liver. This process takes fat-soluble poisons and turns them into harmless water-soluble particles. NAC regenerates liver tissue and prevents liver cell self-destruction. NAC is helpful if you take medication, drink alcohol, smoke, or if you’re exposed to any other types of toxicity. To make NAC more potent, try the following: 1. Take on an empty stomach 2. Take several doses daily 3. Take it with vitamin C and selenium 4. Consume a high-protein meal after taking NAC In addition to consuming adequate animal proteins, incorporate more cruciferous vegetables into your diet to help support the liver. Numbness and Tingling in Your Feet? It's Not Your Nerves

Numbness in feet is not a nerve problem. Discover the most common root cause of peripheral neuropathy, the connection between high blood sugar and tingling feet, and how diet can help relieve the symptoms of diabetic peripheral neuropathy. Your tingling feet aren’t actually a nerve problem. If you have high blood sugar, there’s an increased demand for vitamin B1 because vitamin B1 is needed for sugar metabolism in the body. High blood sugar means the tiny blood vessels around the nervous system aren’t getting enough energy. A vitamin B1 deficiency can mean low energy and lactic acid buildup. Benfotiamine, a fat-soluble form of vitamin B1, can help with tingling and numbness in the feet. Take the recommended dose 3 to 4 times per day. Changing your diet is key to addressing the root cause of peripheral neuropathy. A low-carb diet can provide the body with ketones as an alternative fuel, helping properly fuel the neurons despite insulin resistance. Peripheral neuropathy can also be linked to high vitamin B6 levels or low magnesium levels. In this video, I’ll tell you about the foods that detox the liver and how to combine them to make a delicious smoothie for liver support. Discover the best recipes for liver health and start your healthy liver plan today! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: Top liver detox recipes 0:48 8 best recipes for liver health 6:38 The best drink for liver detoxification 8:50 Check out my video on the liver health diet! Probiotic Link: (FLORASTOR Advanced) https://florastor.com/products/floras... These nutrient-rich liver foods aid in liver detoxification and create a vacuum effect, helping you lose weight from the midsection. To make these natural liver detox smoothies, combine the ingredients with one cup of water and one cup of ice. If you are following a strict keto diet, you may want to stick to recipes without pomegranate or papaya. If you have been doing keto for some time and feel your body can handle a small amount of these fruits—please give all of the recipes a try! Always get organic fruit when possible, and try to keep your net carbs under 50g per day. 1. Spinach and kiwi Blend 1 cup of spinach with 2 to 3 kiwis. Spinach supports healthy blood sugar and can also help remove fat from the abdomen, while kiwi has properties to protect the liver against damage. 2. Spinach and grapefruit Combine 1 cup of spinach with 1 grapefruit. Grapefruit increases your sensitivity to insulin and increases bile flow. 3. Kale and pomegranate Cruciferous vegetables like kale aid in liver detoxification and have anti-inflammatory properties. Pomegranate also decreases inflammation and prevents fat from accumulating in the liver. 4. Papaya Combine one whole chopped papaya with water and ice. Papaya is loaded with enzymes that can help digestion and decrease inflammation in the liver. 5. Celery and blueberries Combine 1 cup of chopped celery with 1 cup of blueberries. Celery Increases bile production and reduces liver inflammation. Blueberries reduce liver fat, and their polyphenols help remove excess iron from the body. 6. Cucumber and lemon Combine 1 cup of each of these ingredients. Cucumber is hydrating and has electrolytes. It increases liver detoxification and can help prevent NAFLD. Lemon can also improve liver detoxification. 7. Avocado and strawberries Combine 1 cup of each! Avocado contains glutathione, one of the most potent antioxidants, and also has reparative properties for the liver. Strawberries help increase overall liver function and metabolism and remove fat from the liver. 8. Coconut and papaya Coconut contains lauric acid, which is beneficial for the immune system. It contains MCT fat, which turns into ketones. This combination decreases inflammation and scarring on the liver. Dr. William Davis developed a recipe combining fruit juice with a friendly microbe found in Florastor. Try this beverage to support the gut and suppress diarrhea and SIBO. The #1 BEST Food to Strip FAT from the LIVER

Don’t wait for fatty liver symptoms to address your liver health! Find out what to eat for a fatty liver and discover the #1 superfood for liver health that can remove fat from the liver naturally. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) Chapters: 0:00 Introduction: How to reverse a fatty liver 0:10 What causes a fatty liver? 1:59 Fatty liver symptoms 3:30 The best fatty liver diet 3:40 How to remove liver fat with the best liver detox food 5:39 The best food for a fatty liver NAFLD (non-alcoholic fatty liver disease) is being changed to MASH (metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis), which essentially means a fatty liver with inflammation. Doctors treat this condition with medications and never truly address the root cause. NAFLD is often blamed on “too much nutrition”, but what does this mean? It’s not simply over-nutrition that causes a fatty liver. It’s the overconsumption of sugar, starches, and seed oils. Industrial sugars like high-fructose corn syrup are especially problematic for the liver. Fatty liver symptoms include fatigue, pain or discomfort in the right upper quadrant, cognitive problems, yellow skin, hot and itchy feet, and extra weight around the midsection. The medical field has used observational studies to claim that red meat, organ meats, liver, and eggs cause a fatty liver. However, observational studies can not determine causation! Research has shown that if you go on a low-carb, ketogenic diet, you can decrease 50% of the fat from your liver in a matter of weeks! To improve liver health and remove fat from the liver naturally, add the following liver detox foods to your diet: 1. Grass-fed red meat offers high-quality protein with vital nutrients such as zinc, copper, and CoQ10. It also supports healthy blood sugar levels. 2. Eggs have zero carbs and are a rich source of choline, which helps protect you from developing a fatty liver. 3. Cruciferous vegetables, especially when fermented, help the liver with detoxification and also help to remove fat. 4. Wild-caught salmon and other wild-caught fatty fish are a very nutritious source of protein and are high in omega-3 fatty acids, which reduce liver inflammation. 5. Broccoli sprouts contain sulforaphane, which has potent anti-cancer properties and helps detoxify the liver. They can also decrease A1C to stabilize blood sugar. 6. The #1 food for liver health is grass-fed liver! Beef and lamb liver are low-carb, high in choline, nutrient-dense, and contain many trace minerals, vital in reducing liver fat and inflammation. The SILENT KILLER Nobody Addresses

Chronic sleep deprivation can increase your risk for premature death! In this video, I’ll cover the dangers of not sleeping enough and the numerous health risks of poor sleep. Find out how to sleep better with my restful sleep tips. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) HOW TO MAKE L. REUTERI YOGURT: ➡️ https://drbrg.co/3FXR63P [Affiliate links] Yogurt Maker: https://amzn.to/4k1LO71 Yogurt Jars: https://amzn.to/411hSPw Yogurt Containers: https://amzn.to/411eXX00:00 Introduction: Not sleeping is killing you! 0:09 How lack of sleep affects your health 0:37 Sleep effects on your brain 1:03 Alcohol and sleep quality 1:18 Sleep and the immune system 1:33 REM sleep vs. deep sleep 3:17 How to improve sleep 6:59 The most important nutrients for restful sleep 7:50 L. reuteri for better sleep If you’re consistently getting less than 6 hours of sleep, you increase your risk of premature death, cancer, diabetes, dementia, and more! Sleep is the best way to clean the brain of damaged proteins, but this only occurs when you get real sleep. Sleep medication can sedate you but will not enhance your sleep quality. Alcohol significantly decreases sleep quality, causing snoring, sleep apnea, and tossing and turning. Sleep is essential for repairing and restoring the entire body, especially the immune system. Without sleep, the immune system shuts down, leaving you vulnerable to infection. REM sleep supports parts of the brain involved in creativity, memory, and problem-solving. It improves social interaction, emotional stability, empathy, and your mood throughout the day. Most repair occurs during non-REM sleep, also known as deep or delta-wave sleep. As you age, non-REM delta wave sleep decreases significantly. Delta wave sleep is vital for fat burning, cell repair, and cell regeneration. It’s also when your body fights infections most effectively. To improve your sleep quality, try the following restful sleep tips: •Avoid alcohol •Drink kombucha tea •Exercise regularly •Avoid eating too late •Avoid eating too much protein •Sleep in a cool, dark room •Avoid too much caffeine •Avoid excessive blue light •Turn lights off a few hours before bed •Get plenty of sun during the day •Go to bed when you’re tired •Avoid stimulating shows/movies before bed Magnesium, vitamin D, and zinc are the most important nutrients for sleep. L. reuteri is a microbe that can help boost oxytocin and serotonin and improve sleep. Sodium is also vital for restful sleep. The MOST Perilous Diseases that Don't Show Symptoms

Many chronic diseases have no symptoms for 15 to 20 years! Common diseases like type 2 diabetes, liver disease, and kidney disease often have no warning signs until they’ve significantly progressed. Discover the top diseases with no symptoms and learn how to avoid them. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) Chapters: 0:00 Introduction: Dangerous diseases with no symptoms 2:04 High blood pressure and type 2 diabetes 3:52 Liver disease and kidney disease 4:38 Low vitamin D 5:30 4 habits to avoid and reverse silent diseases Did you know that it can take 10 to 20 years to develop high blood pressure and around 15 to 20 years for type 2 diabetes? Over 75% of your liver could be damaged before you experience symptoms from liver disease, and you can run your body on one kidney, making kidney disease equally difficult to detect. You won’t notice any symptoms from atherosclerosis until 70% of your artery is blocked, and stage 4 colon cancer is sometimes discovered with no symptoms at all! Instead of addressing the root cause of these chronic diseases, doctors will typically prescribe medication to manage the symptoms that occur later on. Before you develop type 2 diabetes, high levels of insulin keep your blood sugar normal for many years. Most people don't notice symptoms other than belly fat and fatigue, but eventually, your pancreatic cells fail to produce insulin. Low vitamin D is not a disease, but it can put you at risk for many different health conditions, including cancer, autoimmune diseases, and cardiovascular disease. Vitamin D helps increase nitric oxide to support healthy blood pressure, and also supports insulin function and sensitivity. The following 4 habits can help you avoid and reverse these asymptomatic diseases. 1. Exercise Try walking after eating. Hypoxia training can also have significant health benefits. 2. Low-carb diet and intermittent fasting Aim for 1 to 2 meals daily to improve insulin resistance and its associated health conditions. Do Healthy Keto® and intermittent fasting the right way; this FREE guide makes it easy: https://drbrg.co/4pSGvcS 3. Get more sleep Try to get an additional 30 to 60 minutes of sleep each night. 4. Spend more time outside Take walks in nature and get plenty of sun for dramatic improvements in your health. Which is healthier: Cereal or the box it comes in? Comment your answer below! Why You Need to Eat 2 to 4 Eggs Daily ▶️ https://youtu.be/7hk81YuHZQg 0:00 Introduction: Is cereal healthy? 2:20 The truth about cereal 5:32 A deeper look at cereal 7:50 The best breakfast food for kids 8:00 Learn more about the benefits of eggs! Is cereal bad for you? Let’s talk about it. If you had to choose between consuming cereal or the box it came in, my assumption would be that the box is a healthier choice. There was a recall on certain cereals a few years ago because of a problem with the boxes that could possibly create temporary nausea and diarrhea in some people. But, even so, the cereal inside of the box is more concerning. Cereal is promoted as being healthy, yet it’s an ultra-processed food with added sugar. It also contains grains and synthetic vitamins. Not only that, but companies have made outrageous claims regarding their cereal brands. There is even a loophole allowing companies to add maltodextrin or corn syrup to the cereal and list them as carbohydrates, even though they behave like sugars. While they may say you could experience various health consequences if you stop consuming cereal, I believe the only consequence would be a healthier body. The healthiest breakfast food for kids is actually eggs. Ditch cereal and learn more about the health benefits of eggs in my other videos. Calorie counting and portion control will leave you feeling hungry and constantly craving carbs. The body adapts to a low-calorie diet, leading to a slower metabolism. A low-calorie, high-carbohydrate diet raises insulin levels. I’m sure you’ve heard these other bad weight loss tips: • Eat 6 small meals per day • Count calories • Increase fiber • Drink more water to help you feel full • Chew gum • Take Ozempic These tips will not boost fat loss! Your body can use fat or glucose for fuel. Although stored fat is potential energy, you must lower your insulin to utilize it. Insulin resistance is at the root of many chronic illnesses and can negatively affect the liver, nervous system, immune system, and more. Low-calorie diets that don’t lower insulin are not sustainable. You won’t be able to achieve your goals if you're hungry, craving carbs, dealing with brain fog, high blood pressure, or other related issues. What BLOATING Really Means

Stomach bloating is one of the most common signs of a leaky gut. Find out how to get rid of bloating by addressing gut health. Uploaded 14-06-24 Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) Just so you know, my full line of high-quality supplements is available on Amazon — search Dr. Berg Supplements. 0:00 Introduction: What is a leaky gut? 0:50 Leaky gut symptoms 1:27 What causes a leaky gut? 2:58 How to get rid of bloating and fix leaky gut 3:50 Fasting to fix leaky gut Today, we’re going to talk about bloating, the number one symptom associated with a leaky gut. If you have a leaky gut, you have crevices and holes in your gut where food particles and substances can travel through without a stamp of approval from the immune system. For example, if you have a leaky gut and egg protein gets through, your immune system will respond as if it’s a virus, bacteria, or pathogen. The next time you eat eggs, you could have an immune reaction. If you have a leaky gut, you’ll notice new food allergies along with the following symptoms: •Inflammation •Joint pain •Skin reactions (e.g. psoriasis, dermatitis) •Headaches The most damaging side effect of a leaky gut is the development of autoimmune conditions like Hashimoto’s. To get rid of bloating, you’ll need to address the cause of a leaky gut. Check out the 7 most common causes of a leaky gut: 1. Vitamin D deficiency 2. Seed oils 3. Raw vegetables 4. Lectins 5. Fiber 6. Sugar 7. Gluten Even if you correct your diet, you must ensure you have enough vitamin D to fix your leaky gut. Get plenty of sun without burning, or take 20,000 IU of vitamin D every day. Glutamine is crucial for gut health. Red meat is the best source of glutamine. Cabbage, bone broth, eggs, and kefir are also good sources. Zinc is also important for gut health. Oysters, shellfish, seafood, and sea kelp are the best sources. Fasting gives your digestive system a chance to rest and repair if you have a leaky gut. Let's talk about the best meal to detox the liver. It's important to keep in mind that a liver detox is very different from a liver cleanse. Liver "cleanses" won't help you clean your liver in any significant way. But supporting your natural detoxification process may be beneficial. Your liver has two phases of detoxification that help get rid of toxins. The goal of this detoxification process is to turn poisons into harmless water-soluble particles. Some people have a genetic problem with particular detoxification enzymes. This can make you more susceptible to damage from certain toxins. A DNA test can give you the information you need to avoid a certain toxin and better support detoxification. Fixing your diet is the best way to support liver detoxification. You don't need a short-term detox or cleanse. You need to make certain foods that support the liver a part of your regular diet. The best meal for liver detox: • Eggs cooked with onions, garlic, and sea salt • Cruciferous vegetables • Kefir with walnuts and low-carb, no-sugar chocolate chips • Add herbs to your meal like thyme, sage, oregano, cayenne pepper, turmeric, and rosemary Disclaimer: Dr. Eric Berg received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1988.
