The REAL Reason Why Your Arteries are Calcifying and Transforming into Bone

Find out what causes calcified arteries and what you can do about it. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) DATA: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2710237/ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1571337/ https://journals.plos.org/plosbiology/article?id=10.1371/journal.pbio.1001533 https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/24089220/ https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/23852538/ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8398385/ https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/29584693/ https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/25655639 0:00 Introduction: Why your arteries are calcifying 0:30 Top signs of heart problems 1:22 Understanding calcified arteries 3:43 What causes calcified arteries? 5:33 Vitamin K2 for your bones 7:00 Causes of a vitamin K2 deficiency 11:37 Check out this video on vitamin D toxicity! Today we’re going to talk about the top cause of artery calcification. The body becomes more calcified with age. But, our goal is to keep the bones calcified and the other tissues from becoming calcified. A CAC test is a great way to determine if you have calcium in your arteries. There are two types of cells in your bones. Osteoblasts are cells that build bone, and osteoclasts break down bones. If there are too many osteoblasts in your arteries, the arteries can start turning to bone. There are stem cells in the inner tissue of the arteries that have the potential to turn into a certain type of cell, depending on what the body needs. If someone is developing bone tissue in their arteries, there is a problem with the differentiation of these stem cells—they’re turning into the wrong thing. Sufficient amounts of vitamin K2 may help inhibit calcification. Vitamin K2 helps keep calcium out of the arteries and in the bones, making the bones strong. Your good bacteria make vitamin K2. Causes of a vitamin K2 deficiency: • A fatty liver • Gallbladder issues • Gut problems • Not consuming enough fermented foods • A low-fat diet Foods rich in vitamin K2: • Natto • Sauerkraut • Cheese • Butter • Kefir • Egg yolk • Liver • Sausage If you take vitamin K2 as a supplement, consider taking the natural form called MK7 and take it with vitamin D. The #1 Worst Protein Globally!

This toxic protein is one of the worst foods for your body. Find out about the worst protein in the world that’s often marketed as healthy, despite being one of the most dangerous protein sources. This is the protein you should never eat! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: Protein you should never eat 0:49 The worst protein for your health 3:37 Ultra-processed proteins 8:17 The worst protein in the world 8:55 Toxic proteins to avoid The EAT-Lancet planetary health diet aims for a plant-based world where red meat is replaced with plant-based protein. Surprisingly, the one protein you should never eat is plant-based! So what’s the worst protein in the world? Here are 11 facts about one of the most dangerous protein sources: 1. The industrial extraction of defatted soy flour involves fat removal from soy flour using hexane, a component of gasoline. This ingredient is considered GRAS, or generally recognized as safe. This is a legal loophole that allows a company to classify its own product as safe. 2. This ultra-processed protein is a byproduct of the soybean oil industry. 3. It contains heavy metals such as arsenic, cadmium, and lead. 4. It’s thermo-mechanically restructured, which means high temperatures and machinery are used to restructure the product so that it mimics the texture of meat. 5. This product makes around $1.39 billion per year. 6. It’s marketed as healthy and has been around since the 1960s. 7. It contains sodium hydroxide, which changes the pH, chemically altering the protein. 8. It contains hydrogen peroxide and titanium dioxide used as bleaching agents. 9. It’s composed of sponge-like chunks of artificial meat that’s rehydrated with additional seed oil. 10. Artificial flavor and color are added to mimic the taste and appearance of meat. 11. The protein is dried at around 347 degrees Fahrenheit, so by the time you cook it, it’s been heated twice. The estrogenic effect of soy is not destroyed by heat! The protein I'm referring to is textured vegetable protein, made from the “vegetable” known as soy. This highly refined, ultra-processed protein contains heavy metals and is GMO, so it may contain traces of glyphosate. The BIGGEST LIE about Food

I’m sure you’ve heard that lard, butter, and red meat are bad for you, but what’s the truth? Find out about the biggest lie about food. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) Just so you know, my full line of high-quality supplements is available on Amazon — search Dr. Berg Supplements. 0:00 Introduction: The biggest lie about food 0:25 What is cholesterol? 0:44 What is saturated fat? 1:46 Dietary cholesterol 2:55 The truth about cholesterol Let's talk about the truth about saturated fat and cholesterol. Cholesterol is a type of fat made by the liver that's used to make cell membranes, hormones, and vitamin D. Saturated fat is a type of fat that stays solid at room temperature, while unsaturated fat is liquid at room temperature. Coconut oil is 87% saturated fat, and lard is 47% saturated fat. Dietary cholesterol has little effect on total cholesterol. Your body makes about 80% of your cholesterol. If you consume more cholesterol, your body will make less. If you consume less cholesterol, your body will make more. It's okay to consume steak, lard, and butter. Cholesterol is only bad when combined with things like sugar, smoking, trans fats, and seed oils. Do NOT Commit These Gut Mistakes (They're Sabotaging Your Health)

Avoid these mistakes for a healthy gut! These 8 common gut health mistakes could be destroying your digestive health. Discover the habits and foods that ruin gut health, along with my expert gut health tips to improve your digestion and overall health today. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) Chapters: 00:00 Introduction: 8 bad habits that destroy gut health 0:23 Fiber for gut health 1:29 Gut health tips and the best gut health foods 7:54 Antibiotics and the gut microbiome 13:00 Foods that ruin gut health 1. Trying to improve gut health with fiber Increasing fiber is one of the worst things you can do for your gut, yet it’s commonly recommended. If your gut is damaged, fiber can exacerbate the issue, contributing to gas and inflammation. If you have gut inflammation, the carnivore diet can help! The carnivore diet helps increase glutamine, an amino acid that promotes gut healing. Zinc carnosine and butyrate, found in butter, are excellent for a healthy gut. Intermittent fasting and periodic prolonged fasting are crucial for maintaining digestive health. Approximately 40% of the population has SIBO. L. Reuteri can help reduce SIBO and has many other amazing benefits. It increases oxytocin, lowers stres, and even increases social capacity. Ensure you have strong stomach acid for healthy digestion and protection from microbes. 2. Commercial probiotics and yogurt The amount of probiotics in these products is so low that it won’t make a difference in gut health. Many commercial yogurts are low-fat and contain added sugar and starch. 3. Colon cleansing This eliminates beneficial gut bacteria, which can ultimately lead to constipation and other health issues. Avoid detoxing and focus on a healthy diet. 4. Antibiotics Your gut microbiome does not fully recover after taking antibiotics. Bacteria that survive antibiotics can become antibiotic-resistant superbugs! If you have to take antibiotics take a good probiotic simultaneously. 5. Antacids Acid reflux is a valve problem caused by low stomach acid. Weakening your stomach acid worsens the problem. Strong stomach acid is vital for digestion, protection against pathogens, and mineral absorption. 6. Low-fat diets Low-fat diets are bad for digestion because fat stimulates the gallbladder to release bile. Low bile leads to constipation and the inability to kill off microbes in the small intestine. 7. Balanced diet Everything in moderation is the worst advice! Lowering carbs from 45% to 65% of your calories to 10% can significantly improve digestion. 8. Superfood shakes Superfood shakes and smoothies with kale, spinach, and fruit can overload the small intestine with fiber. Red meat is the best superfood! LINK TO DONATE HERE: https://anh-usa.org/free-speech-4-health/ Over 50,000 of you filled out a survey regarding YouTube’s radical new change to suppress alternative viewpoints on health. Here are the results. 0:00 Introduction: Thank you for filling out this survey! 0:20 Summarizing the YouTube censorship survey 5:32 YouTube’s reply 6:14 What can we do? Thank you so much for filling out the censorship survey. I really appreciate it—your opinions are so valuable to me. Over 50,000 people filled out this survey. The great majority of people overwhelmingly disagreed with this new change YouTube has made. People want to choose their own health journey, and they don’t need someone else to choose it for them. This is very important to people because they want to have alternative options to look into—natural, non-toxic options. People trust a reliable source of information for their health. A reliable source should have knowledge and experience in the subject. But, the great majority of medical professionals don’t have experience with the ketogenic diet, alternative healthcare, or nutrition. There is a large organization called the Alliance for Natural Health that is committed to fighting against free speech on health. This is an organization I’m happy to get behind, and I encourage you to do so as well. This is something that affects everyone. If you’re able to, consider donating to this cause. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: The biggest breakfast mistakes 0:12 Coffee at breakfast 0:57 High sugar breakfast dangers 1:38 Breakfast foods that spike blood sugar 1:57 Why you feel tired after breakfast 2:49 Healthy breakfast tips 3:24 Is fruit a healthy breakfast? 4:42 Hidden sugars in breakfast foods 5:24 The #1 worst breakfast mistake Today, we’ll discuss how to break bad breakfast habits with 9 healthy breakfast tips! 1. Some people drink too much coffee in the morning, but that's not always the problem. Coffee beans are one of the most sprayed crops behind cotton and tobacco. Adding sugar and non-dairy creamer with seed oils worsens the problem. The simple solution is to always choose organic coffee. 2. Most orange juice is pasteurized, which destroys the vitamin C. If you’re drinking orange juice for breakfast, it’s likely that you’re just drinking sugar water. 3. Carb-heavy breakfast foods significantly spike blood sugar. Your body produces insulin to lower the spike, causing low blood sugar, leaving you feeling tired after breakfast. Switch to a protein breakfast! Opt for eggs, bacon, cheese, whole-fat yogurt without sugar, steak, or burger patties rather than the typical muffins, pancakes, cereals, etc. 4. Consuming fruit and nuts for breakfast will likely leave you feeling hungry midmorning. This leads to snacking, which raises blood glucose and spikes insulin throughout the day. 5. Peanut butter is often consumed for breakfast, but many contain sugar and hydrogenated oils. Always check the label! 6. Avoid cooking with seed oils for breakfast. Opt for healthy cooking oils such as butter, olive oil, coconut oil, or lard. 7. Check the labels on your breakfast meats. There are many hidden sugars in breakfast foods, especially breakfast meats! 8. I used to recommend drinking kale shakes with fruit for breakfast, but this is a mistake. A healthy breakfast should always contain high-quality protein. 9. Eating when you’re not hungry is the #1 worst breakfast mistake! We’re often taught that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but this isn’t true. You’re fasting while you sleep, so most people aren’t hungry when they wake up. Try pushing your first meal to lunchtime to increase the duration of your fast. This can help you tap into fat-burning, boost weight loss, reverse insulin resistance, improve mood, and decrease appetite. How Grocery Stores SCAM YOU!!

Find out about the marketing tactics that will have you buying all sorts of things you never intended. Don’t fall victim to supermarket tricks! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) Just so you know, my full line of high-quality supplements is available on Amazon — search Dr. Berg Supplements. 0:00 Introduction: How supermarkets trick you 0:53 Grocery store real estate 1:46 Supermarket tricks 2:41 Color marketing tactics in grocery stores 5:11 The checkout line 6:19 Price and sales tricks 7:14 Label tricks 10:03 How to combat grocery store tricks Today, I’m going to tell you how supermarkets get you to spend more money and control your food shopping experience. The majority of grocery store profits are not from markups on products! Around 50% to 75% of grocery store profit is from real estate, known as slotting fees. Food companies or brands spend money to have their products placed in prime locations in the grocery store. Companies want their products in “the golden zone,” right at your eye level. This can lead to 8 times more product sales! Grocery stores use numerous marketing tactics to control your food shopping experience, such as manipulating grocery store layout, artificial smells, and floor texture to slow you down. Supermarkets will place high-priced items near low-priced items and use color marketing tactics to their advantage. They also use social proof, such as retail tricks like “best seller” or “customer favorite,” to boost sales. The cereal aisle is the most profitable aisle! Around 16% of the total sales of a grocery store are purchased from the front of the store! It’s no coincidence that candy lines the checkout aisle. Labels are also very tricky, and similar marketing tactics are employed! Just because a product is labeled “natural” or “organic” doesn’t mean it’s not filled with sugar and starch. To combat these supermarket tactics, avoid grocery shopping with kids or if you’re hungry and tired. Write a list and stick to it! Shop the perimeter of the grocery store, and don’t go into the junk food aisles. Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 59, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. The Dark Side of the Fast Food Industry

Fast food meals seem cheap and convenient, but they come at a higher price than you might think. Find out about the dark side of the fast food industry. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) Just so you know, my full line of high-quality supplements is available on Amazon — search Dr. Berg Supplements. 0:00 Introduction: Fast food industry secrets 1:32 Fast food marketing strategies 3:58 McDonald’s and the beef industry 5:16 Fast food ingredients 7:12 The truth about the fast food industry In this video, we’re going to talk about some of the fast food industry’s secrets that can keep you wanting more but are detrimental to your health. The average American consumes between 2 and 3 fast food meals per week, which adds up to 150 to 200 meals per year. Even if you order value meals or make choices from the dollar menu, most people spend around $1500 to $2000 per year on fast food. The fast food industry uses all sorts of marketing tactics to keep you wanting more. Mcdonald’s uses yellow and red, which stimulate impulsivity, increase serotonin, and even encourage you to eat faster. The fast food industry also targets children, hence the playgrounds and happy meals at fast food restaurants. They use upselling techniques by offering fries or a combo, which can increase profits by more than 22%. Prices containing the number 9 can increase the likelihood of making a purchase! McDonald’s is one of the largest beef buyers in the U.S. They use low-quality factory-farmed beef fattened with grains and treated with antibiotics. Fast food meals also contain poor-quality ingredients like high fructose corn syrup, corn oil, soy oil, corn flour, corn starch, and fillers like maltodextrin. These ingredients are highly processed and highly inflammatory. Although fast food may seem cheaper and more convenient in the short term, it can cause massive health consequences in the long term. Should you eat before bed? Growth hormone naturally spikes during the first 90 minutes of sleep, but eating before bed may suppress this important hormone. Growth hormone plays a key role in fat burning, muscle growth, collagen production, bone health, recovery, healthy immune function, and brain health. Most of your body’s repair and recovery occurs while you sleep. For better sleep quality and beauty sleep, avoid foods that significantly raise insulin before bedtime. Sugar and starches trigger the greatest insulin response, while protein and vegetables have a much smaller effect. Sleep quality affects everything from cognitive function to food cravings the next day. Melatonin, the hormone that helps you fall asleep, is also influenced by your eating habits. For better sleep, digestion, blood sugar, and gut health, stop eating 3 hours before bed. Make your last meal nutrient-dense with adequate protein, healthy fats, and sea salt to help keep you satisfied throughout the night. The STARTLING #1 Cause of Heart Attacks

The #1 cause of heart disease is not what you think! Find out about the biggest cause of heart disease and what you can do to turn things around. In this video, I’ll share some key tips to help reduce your risk of heart problems. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: What causes heart disease? 0:31 Insulin resistance and heart disease 1:04 Signs of insulin resistance 1:45 What causes insulin resistance? 3:57 The root cause of heart disease 4:13 How to lower your risk of cardiovascular disease Visceral fat around the heart covers your arteries and heart muscle. Inflammation from this fat goes directly into the heart before any other place in the body! Insulin is a major contributor to visceral fat accumulation around the heart. When insulin is high, your body stores fat, and you gain weight. When it’s low, you lose weight, especially visceral fat surrounding the heart. When you have insulin resistance, your insulin receptors no longer accept insulin. If you have insulin resistance, you may notice the following symptoms: •Waist circumference greater than 40 inches in men and 35 inches in women •Skin tags or darkened armpits or groin area •High triglycerides or low HDL •Difficulty losing weight •Difficulty going for long periods without a meal Insulin resistance can be caused by high-carb, high-sugar diets, stress, and chronic sleep problems. Seed oil consumption is one of the greatest contributors to insulin resistance. Industrial seed oils are highly processed with high heat and chemicals like hexane. Seed oils remain in your cells for over a year, which can damage the insulin receptor on the surface of the cells. The average person gets 25 to 30 percent of their calories from seed oils! Keto can help reverse insulin resistance, but you must do Healthy Keto® with higher-quality ingredients. Use healthy fats such as butter, tallow, and coconut oil, rather than seed oils. The biggest cause of heart disease is epicardial fat (fat deposits around the heart), which is caused by consuming sugar, starch, and seed oils—the main components of ultra-processed foods. To eliminate epicardial fat and reduce your risk of cardiovascular disease, there are a few things that you can do: •Eliminate seed oils and replace them with healthy oils •Follow a Healthy Keto diet •Do intermittent fasting and have two meals per day, without snacks •Cold therapy •Consume apple cider vinegar in a glass of water a few times per day •Consume berberine Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 60, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Let’s talk about how to stop period pain or menstrual cramps. With period cramps, you experience cramping in the lower part of the body. It’s the uterus itself that’s cramping or contracting, which can cause a painful period. A great way to get instant relief from menstrual cramps is to try stretching. To do this stretch, you need to lay on your stomach and push your hands into the ground straightening your arms and stretching your back. However, to get to the root cause of the issue and get rid of menstrual cramps, we need to lower a chemical in the body called prostaglandins. People will typically use ibuprofen to lower prostaglandins. But ibuprofen has side effects. Thankfully, there are natural alternatives you can try to help lower prostaglandins. The BEST BLACKHEAD & Acne Cure in the World (One-Time Fix)

Manual whitehead and blackhead removal comes with a package. If you want to get rid of acne and remove blackheads permanently without scarring your skin, this is for you! Clear pores instantly and get rid of blackheads fast by addressing the root cause of your skin concerns. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) Chapters: 0:00 Introduction: How to remove blackheads and get rid of acne 0:44 Whiteheads vs. blackheads 1:30 Acne causes 4:15 Ultra-processed foods and acne 4:55 How to get rid of acne with a healthy diet 5:40 The one-time acne fix Today, I’m going to tell you how to get rid of acne permanently! Acne creams and medications treat the symptoms but don’t address the root cause of the issue. Topical acne creams can address the issue temporarily. Products containing annatto extract, a special form of vitamin E, can control oil production, but the real problem is not excess oil production! Acne and blackheads are not caused by increased oil production. The real problem is the production of thicker, stickier oil. The following factors cause this thicker sebum production: 1. Hormones (androgens) 2. Too much insulin 3. Zinc deficiency 4. Vitamin A deficiency 5. Seed oil consumption Your sebum is mainly composed of unsaturated fat. When you consume seed oils, they eventually reemerge in your skin’s oil! Seed oils can also build up in the liver, inhibiting bile production, which interferes with the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins, including vitamin A. Ultra-processed foods are a major contributor to acne. They contain refined sugars and refined starches, which deplete your zinc. They destroy the liver, which inhibits your ability to use vitamin A. Sugar, starches, and seed oils also contribute to insulin resistance. For the best one-time acne fix that addresses the problem permanently, you must follow a diet that keeps androgens and insulin low, while offering plenty of zinc and vitamin A. Follow a low-carb diet, avoiding sugar and starch. It is vital to eliminate seed oils and reduce your consumption of other foods high in omega-6 fatty acids. This includes grain-fed meat, such as grain-fed chicken, and their eggs. For healthy skin, free of acne, consume grass-fed meats and wild-caught fish. Increase shellfish, which is high in zinc, and foods such as grass-fed butter, grass-fed beef liver, and cod liver oil for vitamin A.
