    I Identify As A Flower

    Gem is annoyed at traffic etiquette, but it's not what you might think. And Revz has FINALLY jumped on the Tay Tay and Billie train and Gem is eye-rolling all the way down the road (but glad she's here). And is having three weddings normal now? What's going on? Then we unpick the Flower & Gardener relationship theory. Gem is currently a happy flower, Revz feels she SHOULD be a flower but has played Gardener many times. But who's the flower in our duo? Now, Revz is going to attempt a wild feat: a *free* school holidays in an attempt to give the middle finger to holiday camps and she's already stressed about it.     Would Menstrual Leave Get Competitive, Though?

    Whinge alert: in case you missed it, lol, Gem’s Hubs is away and she has realised she’s actually the shit domestic partner and that he does EVERYTHING? But should she tell him that, or continue on the path of “weaponised incompetence”? And yes, we get into the importance of bin washing, because we’re a sexy and vibrant podcast. Then, we really must all donate blood. There’s a national shortage and so we live inventory a giveaway to see how many of us can go and help out! Speaking of blood, they’ve renamed the “feminine hygiene” aisle and we like that very much, we do. We have no time for period shame or men who get the ick with periods (puh-lease) but Gem is on about her cup again. So we get into Menstrual Leave which has just been passed in Spain and it makes us wonder if it has new levels of mental load for us women in the work place or if it should be honoured.     Mum-Shamed For Maccas Drive Thru

    Do you make handmade bliss balls and sushi for your kids bento box? Or are you like us and keep it simple and retro with a Vegemite sandwich and some tiny teddies? This week, Revz’ mate got drive-thru shamed and it’s set her off. We get into how well the kiddos get fed at daycare and how as we get older and wiser, we give less shits about their angelic diet. Then, was Gem starving in a former life? Cos she will not share her food (not even with her 4 year old). Then, look, we need to talk about sleep. Revz thought hers were through the sleep drama, Gem is in the thick of sleepless BS, and we just need to talk about what utter torture sleep deprivation is. And because we’re doctors, we wanna talk about the shamey, shamey horse sh*t that is spread around by some people who aren’t on team sleep training. Then we talk about the sleep aids WE need to head off to Dreamland and why we think it’s ok to give kids NONE when we need so many. Then, can we normalise 0 activity weekends?     The Body Love Dilemma

    *CW: Disordered Eating* Revz is zapping off braid-able leg hair and Gem is in a winter wardrobe funk (oh, it's that time of year again). Yep, Gem is feeling lazy in terms of grooming and decides she wants to groom with a divorce mentality. It's all about the tension between wanting to be majorly hot and not giving even one f*ck about how you look, which we can all relate to. But real talk, Gem is ready for a glow-up and Revz wants to swoop in like a Mama-Bear-Art-Director and finally make her a capsule wardrobe. Then Revz is facing yet another phase of body image stuff and she doesn't have time for the fragility of it all. And this conversation exhausts us both as it soaks up so much time and energy but we really do want the cycle to end with us. Gem is finidng "body love" can be a bandaid and yet another pressure. Revz wants to know how to balance the mental health and physical strength benefits of exercise and nutrition with the demons that come with food and exercise and luckily we have #notspons to focus on so we can have a goddamn break from thinking about our bodies.     Are Ultimatums Ever Worth It?

Gem is feeling smug about her runaway hit of a recco, but she has some very specific conditions under which it can be watched, which Revz thinks is a little agressive. Revz has quit dating to focus on her TV and whinging and it's a full-time job today as #singlemumlife is just caving in on our mate. Gem wants to know about the logistical nightmare of multiple baby daddies and Revz wants everyone to get over the concept. Gem's mate's partner was on watch when her kid wrecked her teeth and we hash out if you should allow yourself to care about aesthetic injuries.
