I am OPTimist

Monika Bravo

I am OPTimist. I am not willing to be defined by a few words—what I do is a living journey. I am a multidisciplinary artist, empirical polymath, writer, evolutionary astrologer, libertarian/Bitcoiner. My philosophy integrates Eastern, ancestral, and cosmological traditions with psychological inquiries, praxeology, and Austrian economics, emphasizing liberty, value, resources, and self-worth in the quest for individual and societal service. I create public art commissions and immersive environments, facilitate dialogue, and explore freedom, shadow work, myths, natural law, Bitcoin, and the architecture of time. This podcast is a reflection of my living and individuated journey. If you are curious, there is much more to explore in the About Me section.👇☝️

    FROM INFERNO TO PARADISE

At times, in order to understand and grasp reality, I tend to go back to symbolism and abstraction through poetry. Sometimes, when things are less literal and more representational, turning to metaphor gives me the best way to see things. I have always loved The Divine Comedy, and pairing these two characters together, Dante and Venus, living in the realm of archetypes, one as a lived experience and the other as symbolism, seems like a perfect representation of this descent, which so far has been amazing. Today is the conjunction between the Sun and Venus. It’s called Cazimi, when Venus touches the Sun. They will meet tonight at 0° Scorpio, and in a few hours, Venus will be descending and re-entering Libra. The harmony that’s needed between our desires, our fears, and the way we relate to our needs and the needs of others is something that will be unfolding over the next few weeks. Perfect soundtrack!!!! This is a public episode. If you'd like to discuss this with other subscribers or get access to bonus episodes, visit www.monikabravo.blog/subscribe

Beyond 2027: The Practical Within the Myth

Note: This is quite a long article, so the audio above is 41 minutes. If you want to listen to it in two parts, I’m going to place the audios here: part one and part two, each one around 20 minutes. Audio_Part Premise + Part 1 + Part 2: Audio_Part 3 + 4: “Each of us puts his person and all his power in common under the supreme direction of the general will.” ~Jean-Jacques Rousseau, The Social Contract, 1762 PREMISE The last year has been a time for me to sit on top of a mountain and observe the behavior of things and people. In the last few weeks, I just felt compelled to come down a bit and try to feel more where the direction of my life is going. I started to feel more clearly how things could connect and where they could go. Still not a defined image, but now I can sense things more clearly. I feel myself standing on a bridge between a world that still felt recognizable before 2020 and something that, almost seven years later, already feels fundamentally different. I may not know exactly where it is going, but the old orientation no longer holds in the same way. The Human Design system has another, deeper layer called the Variables, represented by the four arrows around the head of the chart. They describe how the body takes in information and how the mind perceives and interprets what is around it. Underneath each one, there is another layer called Tone, which describes the sensory or cognitive quality through which that information is received. There is nothing one can do to tweak them. This is how the body is. Within my design, the Variables describe a body that needs distance, space, and a very particular way of taking in information. Mountains gives me perspective. Feeling lets me register the frequency of an environment. Hope keeps the future open, while Acceptance keeps the present honest. My cognition works as a receptor. Most of the time, I’m taking in information without even realizing that I’m doing it. I absorb the frequency of a place and the people in it from the atmosphere, and it all sits somewhere in the background. Most of my Variables are Right, making this process extremely receptive. Then there is one movement that is Left in my Perspective. When something outside of me asks for something specific, I can suddenly focus, pull that piece of information forward, and do something very practical with it. In Human Design, Ra Uru Hu described 2027 as the end of a roughly 400-year global cycle, the Cross of Planning, and the beginning of the Cross of the Sleeping Phoenix. The transition is linked to the precession of the equinoxes, as the equinoctial point moves out of Gate 37 and into Gate 55. He described it as a change in the collective background frequency, shifting the emphasis from institutional support and agreements toward a more self-aware, self-reliant individual. The bridge between these two frequencies can be seen through the locks and keys of the G Center and their relationship to orientation. As an artist, I’ve made a career out of observing reality and the environments around me, then synthesizing what I perceive into a form that belongs to a place or a commission. In recent years, that same way of observing has moved into my writing and into the way I read both financial and astrological patterns. I’ve been watching the chaotic collective behavior unfolding within and around me, and it feels as though something has reached an endpoint. Is the Cross of Planning dying, or is it already dead? The Cross of the Sleeping Phoenix arises with a very different emphasis, one I have been very focused on: bringing individual accountability and an open heart much closer to the center. “Trust thyself: every heart vibrates to that iron string.” ~Ralph Waldo Emerson, Self-Reliance, 1841 PART ONE The Body Has a Compass When you look at a Human Design chart, you see a bunch of geometric figures connected to each other. It can look like a Tree of Life, or it can look like a game of golosa, which in English is called hopscotch, the game children play on the street with a rock, jumping from one square to another. Basically, what you are looking at is a design of the body’s energy. Some areas are defined and operate more consistently, while others remain open to what comes from outside. Human Design brings several ancient systems together into one visual architecture. Understanding the whole system is not a requirement. You begin tuning into it as you start living through it. Let’s zoom in. Right in the middle of the chart there is a diamond-shaped center called the G Center, also known as the Identity Center. It holds our relationship to identity, love, and direction. Its eight gates describe different ways the self moves through life: creative expression, behavior, rhythm, leadership, listening, the direction of the self, the love of the body, and a more universal form of love. The salient word for what I am exploring here is orientation. If we take the eight gates around the G Center and place them back into the astrological wheel, they behave almost like a compass. The first cross follows the cardinal signs, which mark the beginning of each season: Gate 10 at the top, Gate 15 directly opposite at the bottom, Gate 25 on the left, and Gate 46 on the right. The second cross sits 45° away along the fixed signs: Gate 13 opposite Gate 7, and Gate 2 opposite Gate 1. The G Center is already giving us a visual language for orientation. Identity has direction, and direction includes movement. The body registers what is happening first. The mind comes in afterward, trying to understand what the hell is going on. The Magnetic Monopole The Magnetic Monopole resides in the G Center. We usually understand magnetism through polarity, with two poles attracting or repelling each other. A monopole describes one pole. In Human Design, the Magnetic Monopole describes the force that keeps the vehicle, the body, moving along its trajectory. I like to think about it through gravity. Gravity grounds, locating and giving orientation, keeping the body in relationship with the Earth. The Magnetic Monopole is what keeps the vessel, the body, moving along its trajectory because the body already carries what it needs to fulfill its life. The mind loves to interfere with that. It wants to decide where it should go. It thinks it needs a map because it craves certainty. It looks at what other people are doing and wonders whether we should go there too. The mind can be conditioned by the environment and by outside authority, until somebody else’s direction begins to feel like our own. And then one can get lost. I know how easily the mind can begin following someone else’s direction and mistake it for its own. Living closer to my design has meant recognizing what my body is made of and becoming much more wary about what I allow to drive me from the outside. What happens when the G Center is open or undefined? Personally, I do not have the G Center defined, which means that identity and direction are not experienced in me as one fixed, continuous frequency all the time. I can move through places, environments, relationships, and different periods of life without needing to define myself completely through what is around me. I see it as a superpower. A defined G can carry a more consistent sense of direction, while an undefined or open G can experience direction as fluid, since the mechanics are different. With an open or undefined G, the environment becomes crucial to be aware of because it can condition the mind without one even noticing. What surrounds the body can slowly begin to feel internal, shaping perception and direction until it starts to feel like one’s own. The Locks The eight gates around the G Center are referred to as locks because they remain fixed while the keys that activate them change according to the global cycle. The locks and the keys are both gates; the distinction is in the role they play within the global cycle. Their position stays the same; what changes is the key that opens each one. Under the Cross of Planning, these locks have been opened by one set of keys. As we move into the Cross of the Sleeping Phoenix, the keys change while the architecture remains. I like the image of a bridge because the body is still the body and the locks are still the locks. What changes is the background frequency through which those potentials are accessed, and each person will experience that differently according to their own design. In my own G Center, I carry three of these locks: Gate 1, connected to creative self-expression; Gate 10, to behavior and conduct; and Gate 15, to rhythm. Together they describe a large part of how I experience orientation in my own life. Gate 1 — Creativity Gate 1 is connected to creative self-expression, and both my Personality and Design Neptune sit there, at Gate 1.4 and Gate 1.5. For me, creativity has never felt like something that can be ordered around. I yield to divine intervention when it comes to creativity. I am an antenna. When I trust it completely, creativity flows through me. I recognize the same thing astrologically. Neptune retrograde in Scorpio sits close to my Midheaven, and my Moon is balsamic in Scorpio. I have spent most of my life receiving images and sensations first, then understanding what they mean later. Creativity arrives at its own pace. I can feel it coming, receive it, and shape it. With Neptune on Gate 1.4 and 1.5, something comes through me while the source itself remains mysterious. The source is creative energy. Most of my artwork arrives through sensation. A song, a color, something I am watching can connect me immediately to a frequency that I need to follow. Sometimes it comes through dreams, sometimes through a sudden impulse to read something, go somewhere, or ask a question. It is difficult to explain because it is not linear or logical; it arrives as signs and frequencies, pretty much 24/7. Way before I became an artist, I was already using this energy to show me where to be in my life, where to go, which country to move to, which language to study. There was something internal giving me the opportunity to just try and err, try and err. With time, I became very proficient at understanding that every time I followed that signal as it was, without questioning it, I would find myself in the right place at the right time, doing the right thing, creating the right thing. The messages became confused when I listened to other people first, especially during my long marriage, when my undefined G Center was constantly being defined by another person, or when I stayed in crowds for too long without having enough space of my own. Now I’m so aware of it. Gate 10 — INTEGRITY - Behavior Integrity for me, is when what I know and what I value actually show up in the way I behave coherently. Morality works differently because it can be assigned externally. Someone else can tell you what proper behavior should look like; conduct instead reveals what the person actually does. Authority and discipline are the frequency of Gate 10: to learn through practice until behavior becomes embodied. Gate 10 is also the love of self as an authentic being. You can read and quote everybody. Eventually, the body has to walk the walk, not just talk the talk. There has to be something to show: proof of work. How do I behave by myself when nobody is watching? The SCAM-demic gave me a very clear experience of this. For the first weeks, I was observant, in constant dialogue with my friends in China and Italy who were already in lockdown. Something large was happening outside of me, and fear was spreading through the collective very quickly. I had a deep conversation with my body. If I wanted my immune system to be solid, what could I do? I cut down sugar and carbohydrates, and I stopped buying alcohol after I finished what was already in my home. I became much more conscious of my immune system because I had never related to health primarily through the Western medical paradigm. I increased my meditation time and started observing my thoughts much more closely, especially how they were responding to the environment and how my body was trying to create safety. The pressure around me moved in another direction as people projected fear and questioned my choices. By 2021, that pressure became even stronger around vaccination. I had already decided that I did not want to vaccinate my body, and what became absolutely clear to me was that nobody else had the authority to make that decision for me. Something had shifted completely in the way I understood authority over my own body. I was canceled by people around me, and I wore that as a badge of honor because it confirmed that I was already behaving from another place. I was under my own responsibility as an adult, and I was making sure that responsibility, that authority, was not going to be outsourced to anyone’s fear, no matter who they were. My brother came to visit around April 2021, and even he wanted me to wear a mask inside my own home. I said, “That will never happen. You are very free to get into my house and wear whatever you want, but you cannot demand that I do that same thing because I don’t deal with my fears that way.” Gate 15 — Rhythm, Extremes, Alignment I understand rhythm through experience, and I have always functioned between extremes. Sometimes I need to move from one extreme to another to understand the full range of the polarity and feel where I am actually aligned. Frequency appears constantly in my writing. How can I align myself with the magnetism already inherent in the Earth? The body has given me many ways to experience this. When I was younger, I ran marathons. At some point I understood that this extreme was too harsh for my body. I also fasted severely; another extreme, lol. Now my movement has become much slower through Taijiquan and fascia work, with swimming becoming part of that rhythm as well. The rhythm has evolved. It has shown me that even though I may go to an extreme, what I’m actually trying to find is my own grove. Some people consider being 100 percent carnivore extreme. Right now, this is what my body wants, although I have no idea whether I will eat this way forever. Knowing me, I may simply be standing at another edge of the range, because moving through extremes has often been the way I find my own alignment. PART TWO: Locks + Keys → 2027 Shift A lock that is already present in the natal design remains part of that person’s architecture while the collective key changes around it. In my case, Gates 1, 10, and 15 remain exactly where they are; what shifts is the frequency through which those potentials are accessed. The opposite can happen as well. Someone may carry the key without carrying its corresponding lock, while another person carries neither and still experiences the same collective background through transits, relationships, and environment. The global cycle is shared, while the way it lands in the body remains specific to each design. 25: 37 → 5546: 40 → 5910: 9 → 3415: 16 → 2013: 61 → 547: 62 → 531: 32 → 572: 42 → 51 Gate 1: 32 → 57 My creative identity moves from a key connected with continuity and what can endure toward one connected with intuitive clarity in the now. Both Gate 32 and Gate 57 are in the Spleen, so the shift is still instinctual, but the emphasis changes. Gate 32 asks what can survive. Gate 57 listens for what is arriving. For somebody like me, who carries Gate 1 but neither Gate 32 nor Gate 57, the creative lock remains the same while the collective frequency around it changes. Gate 10: 9 → 34 Behavior moves from concentration toward raw life force. Gate 9 is about concentration, staying with something through repetition. Gate 34 is Sacral power, the energy to move when the body actually has the force to move. I carry Gate 10, but neither 9 nor 34, so what I notice is a shift from disciplined concentration toward a more immediate relationship with available life force. Gate 15: 16 → 20 Rhythm moves from skill and repetition toward presence. Gate 16 develops competence through practice, while Gate 20 is the now. I carry Gate 15, but neither 16 nor 20, so the rhythm itself remains part of my design while the collective key changes around it. The emphasis moves from developing through repetition toward recognizing what is actually alive in the present moment. The old keys & the new keys When I look at the keys of the Cross of Planning together, I see a very particular architecture. Gate 32 asks what can survive and what has enough continuity to endure. Gate 40 belongs to the bargain: work, rest, exchange, loyalty, what I give and what I receive inside the community. Gate 9 concentrates. Gate 16 develops skills through repetition and enthusiasm. Gate 61 turns inward searching for inner truth. Gate 62 gives that truth detail, precision, names, facts, and organization. Gate 42 brings an experience through the full arc of a cycle so it can be completed. The 42–53 format is literally concerned with entering, maturing, and completing cycles. This is a very recognizable world: Duration → Skill → Proof. Agreement → Continuity → Precision. Completion → Community → loyalty. The ability to maintain structures long enough for them to become reliable →→→ codependency. The keys of the Sleeping Phoenix feel completely different. Gate 55 carries abundance through spirit and the emotional wave. Abundance is no longer something that can simply be stored or guaranteed. The feeling rises and falls. The richness is in learning how to move with the wave rather than forcing one emotional state to remain. Gate 59 carries chemistry. It breaks down barriers between bodies and creates the possibility of intimacy, sexuality, reproduction, and the kind of closeness from which something new can be generated. Gate 34 is Sacral power. Life force. Gate 20 is presence. What is alive now. Gate 54 is ambition. It begins in the Root and carries the pressure to rise, transform, and move upward. In the tribal circuitry, 54 traditionally works with Gate 32, where ambition meets the instinct for what can survive. Gate 53 begins cycles. It is the opposite end of the 42–53 process. Gate 42 says: finish the arc. Gate 53 says: something new is ready to begin. Gate 57 listens for what is coming. It is instinctive, splenic, immediate. The body hears the change in frequency before there is a story about it. Gate 51 initiates through shock. Something interrupts the expected sequence and forces an awakening. Let’s see: The Cross of Planning carried keys that helped us maintain a world based on exchange, continuity, bargains, concentration, skill, inner truth, precision, completion, and loyalty. The Sleeping Phoenix brings keys that feel more immediate: spirit, chemistry, life force, presence, ambition, beginnings, intuition, initiation. One configuration knows how to maintain, organize, and complete what has already been built, sometimes long after those structures have started corrupting and exhausting themselves from the inside out. The other asks something very different: What is alive enough to emerge now? And that, I think, is where the bridge begins. The old capacities do not disappear. People still carry all of those gates in their designs. Institutions created under the previous frequency do not evaporate overnight. Many are already showing signs of exhaustion and corruption. Agreements, families, businesses, communities, governments, schools, hospitals, money systems—all of that remains around us while it transforms. The background emphasis changes. Some people will continue trying to repair the structures that used to hold everything together. Others are already learning to operate through another orientation. Same chronological time. Different lived timelines. PART THREE: What the Bridge Looks Like in the World The Cross of Planning organized much of life around the bargain and the division of labor. I give something, you give something back, and eventually that exchange becomes a structure people rely on. Once the structure becomes normal, it is very easy to forget what is actually being exchanged, especially when time, labor, and money stop being felt as something personal. What I have watched through the end of the twentieth century and into the first quarter of this one is the expansion of expectation itself. More and more responsibility has been placed on the state and on government structures, until dependence begins to feel normal and entitlement begins to replace exchange. When people expect the structure to provide without remaining conscious of what sustains it, the bargain becomes distorted, and the civilization built around that bargain starts carrying the weight of its own dependency. Practical Sovereignty Understanding money changes the way I relate to value because I stop waiting for an institution to define it for me. I want to know what I own and what I am exchanging because I give value to my time. Value is subjective. It begins with the individual and with what something is actually worth in relation to one’s needs. I do not expect that responsibility to come from an outsourced authority. The more clearly I understand that, the less I need to surrender my choices to a system simply because everybody else is using it. In practical terms, the Sleeping Phoenix brings responsibility back to the individual. Accountability becomes embodied, while abundance moves further away from something granted by a structure outside of us. It becomes a frequency I learn to recognize through what is actually available in the body and through the value I am capable of creating and exchanging. The Cross of Planning also normalized subscriptions, memberships, and closed communities built around loyalty in exchange for access. I do understand why people want to make a living, but I do not see the future in another dogma with a monthly fee. I can support people and collaborate without becoming dependent on the structure around them. Voluntary collaboration feels very different to me from codependency. I have always been allergic to close communities because I keep seeing the same power struggle between the person at the center and those who gradually give that person more authority than the relationship can sustain. I have seen it in spiritual communities, art communities, and Bitcoin communities. At some point, the bargain becomes unequal and eventually unsustainable. Expectation keeps rising toward the person at the center while the value of the exchange begins to dissolve underneath it. The relationship loses its balance, and loyalty can very easily turn into resentment. The End of the Guru Influencer I keep saying that the era of the guru influencer, the facilitator, the expert, and the community leader closed at the beginning of 2026. The more I watch what is happening around me, the less useful it feels to go to a device, scroll endlessly, and borrow orientation from somebody else’s life. The body develops its own signal. The more clearly I hear it, the less I need direction from the outside. I can still listen to other people and receive information from them without giving them the final word over my own life. Healing Dependency The Pluto-in-Scorpio generation carries an intense relationship with codependency and entanglement, and I see that playing out strongly through psychedelics, community, and healing modalities. Something that begins as transformation can easily become another dependency when the process itself turns into a place where growth stops. I have Moon in Scorpio and Pluto in the 8th house, so I know this polarity intimately. For me, the movement toward Taurus and the 2nd house has been about recognizing my needs and turning them into values I can trust, rather than depending on substances or people to tell me where safety lives. At some point, the thing that opened the door can become the room you are afraid to leave. I can take what is useful and keep moving. Emotional Maturity The Cross of the Sleeping Phoenix brings more attention to the emotional center. Most of the Solar Plexus gates, with Gate 6 as the exception, run through the Aquarius–Pisces territory of the Human Design mandala: Gates 30, 55, 37, 22, 36, and 49. Gate 6 sits outside that span in Virgo. This emotional field moves through a wave and needs time in the body. At the same time, some of the new keys are profoundly present. Gate 57 senses what is arriving. Gate 34 carries life force, and Gate 20 actualizes the force of the now. If the emotional body learns to self-regulate, being in the now does not mean reacting to whatever has just been triggered. The Solar Plexus carries different wave mechanics depending on the circuitry. Gate 59–6 carries the chemistry of the mating wave. The tribal waves move through need, the individual waves through passion, while the collective waves move through desire and experience. By the time something requires a response, the emotion has had time to move through its own frequency, and the body can respond from what is actually present rather than from the crest or fall of the wave. That kind of emotional maturity becomes a form of freedom, because the individual is no longer being driven by every rise and fall of the emotional wave. AI and the Autonomous Engine With AI, I have stopped working with others in many areas and created agents and assistants that allow me to be much more productive while remaining more present in my life. I still outsource what I cannot do myself, especially when the work belongs in the hands of trained fabricators. Through the last year, I created something that I call the autonomous engine: a local LLM with a series of autonomous agents running different aspects of my studio practice. If I need to move somewhere and keep my machine and my productivity sound anywhere in the world, I can, because I have built efficiencies out of things I used to rely on other people or programs to do. The machine has also made me less dependent on infrastructure I had simply grown accustomed to, including the internet. What really pushed me was watching software move from licenses into endless memberships. I do not like the idea of being married to someone or something for the rest of my life. My impetus was to get rid of those memberships, and I have. Now I go directly and create my own programs according to my needs, cutting short the middleman, increasing my productivity enormously, and saving a ridiculous amount of money. AI changes the division of labor in a very practical way. Work that once required a much larger structure can now move much closer to the individual and be done in situ. One person can suddenly carry a productive capacity that used to require a small team. I still collaborate and hire specialized people when their expertise is needed. What has changed is the dependency. The Cross of Planning depended heavily on coordinated groups and division of labor, while AI allows much more of that productive capacity to return to the individual. For me, the result is time. I can build more and depend less. I can also become more fluent in the infrastructure I use, because the more I understand how it works, the less I have to hand over to someone else. That fluency changes the economics as well, because fewer intermediaries are required. How much of my own infrastructure do I actually own? I want the tools to work for me. I do not work for the tools. PART FOUR: The Bridge Has a Longer Arc 2027 may be less about events than about frequency, what we are able to perceive, what our bodies are already registering, and which patterns are becoming visible before they have fully taken form. The locks remain while the keys shift. The Cross of Planning carries its structures forward into 2027 while the Cross of the Sleeping Phoenix begins entering the field. The bridge takes time to become visible in behavior and in the structures built around it. Ra Uru Hu called the period from 1781 to 2027 the Plutonic Interregnum: one complete Pluto cycle, beginning with Pluto in Gate 41 when Uranus was discovered and ending with Pluto returning to the same gate in 2027. He described 1781 as the beginning of an initiation and 2027 as its fulfillment. Pluto is about evolution, and there is always a treasure inside that process. When something evolves, something else is already beginning. Here, the treasure is buried within the body, in the mutation of the Solar Plexus itself. Gate 41 is the initiating codon, so its return marks the completion of one experiential cycle while another begins. The first rupture was 2020. Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto converged in Capricorn, together with the lunar South Node, while the North Node pointed toward Cancer. During the first part of that year, the whole world stalled under the assumption that health justified limits on ordinary life, including mandates that I considered unlawful. Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto were also activating their own planetary nodal field across Capricorn and Cancer, which gives me a reason to keep watching this territory as it becomes active again between 2032 and 2034. Now, almost seven years later, 2027 arrives. Another seven years after that leads us toward 2034. There is something almost biological about that rhythm. Seven years gives the disruption time to reveal what survived, and another seven begins to show what can be built from it. Astrologically, those seven years also approximate a quarter of Saturn’s cycle. The Jupiter–Saturn conjunction at 0° Aquarius in December 2020 opened another layer. Technology and economics were becoming increasingly inseparable, and AI makes that visible now. It was already written in the stars. By 2028, Saturn moves into Taurus and meets Chiron. The emphasis changes from technological architecture into value itself: money, currency, property, resources, the body, what belongs to me, what is scarce and has value, what is worth preserving, and what can actually be sustained or sustain me. Chiron is going to add an incredible repetition here. It returns to its discovery degree from 1977, around 3° of Taurus, during 2027 and 2028. This is exactly where my natal Jupiter sits. When Uranus was discovered in 1781, Chiron was at exactly the same degree, while Uranus was also in Gemini and Pluto in Aquarius. Those same signs become active again through 2027 and 2028, with Saturn eventually meeting Chiron in Taurus. Taurus brings the question back to value and what can actually sustain us, while Chiron makes vulnerability part of that conversation. When we are vulnerable in a place, if we align with the frequency of debilitation, then we make this a painful wound. If you understand that healing comes when you let go and surrender to it, then you understand that one of the biggest powers we have in the next few years is understanding that money has made us feel very vulnerable in society. Part of that vulnerability is because people don’t understand how it works. Chiron in Taurus is also going to be squared by Pluto in Aquarius, and then Saturn meets Chiron in 2028. That creates a very strong pressure point around value itself. Taurus deals with value, while Aquarius changes the networks through which that value moves. It is about understanding that the structure of value has already changed and it is not about eliminating money but how to relate to it. Uranus and Chiron also share something Promethean. Uranus breaks the known pattern, Chiron carries the wound where knowledge can emerge, and Prometheus brings the fire. My Jupiter sits on that same 3° Taurus frequency. Jupiter expands meaning, and somehow I have spent my life connecting things that at first seem unrelated until I can see the frequency running underneath them. AI is another kind of fire. The fire has already arrived. What we do with it is now in our hands. The economic architecture has changed with it. Even the dollar moves through different rails now, while bitcoin, stablecoins, and other cryptocurrencies have created different networks through which value can move. A lot of the vulnerability around money comes from the fact that people are living inside these changes without really understanding how the system works anymore. Under the Cross of Planning, life was much more organized around the expectation of a job, a salary, and the benefits attached to that structure. That bargain created a sense of continuity. What I see now is that relying on those benefits in the same way becomes more difficult because the infrastructure itself has changed. Being your own bank becomes more literal. Owning your own data and understanding your privacy become part of the same sovereignty if you want to thrive inside the new networks. 1781 was also unfolding inside the Industrial Revolution, when machinery was already changing labor, production, and transportation. Uranus entered human consciousness during a period when human capacity was being altered by machines. During that same industrial period, the way people were prepared for work also began changing. Learning had traditionally happened much more through apprenticeship and direct transmission of a skill. Over time, education became increasingly standardized and institutionalized, with the promise that if you learned the program and remained loyal to the structure, there would be a place for you inside the economy. During the Industrial Revolution, people also began organizing collectively to protect the bargain. Unions became a way to confront employers and negotiate the conditions of labor inside a structure that everyone still expected to function. Protest belonged to that same logic: there was an authority to pressure, an institution to negotiate with, and a bargain that could still be corrected. What I see now is different. If the structure itself is changing, protesting in order to restore the old bargain may no longer carry the same power. The Cross of Planning relied heavily on collective negotiation. The Sleeping Phoenix brings the individual much closer to responsibility for what can actually be built, owned, and sustained from within. Now Uranus is again in Gemini, Pluto again in Aquarius, and Chiron again in Taurus. Pluto also crosses my 6°57′ Aquarius Ascendant in 2027. Then, less than a year later, in January 2028, the solar eclipse returns to the same degree. That area also touches the South Node of the United States chart and sits close to the nodal axis I use for Bitcoin. Carl Jung described something very close to this in The Undiscovered Self. The more responsibility the individual hands over to the State or the collective, the more easily protection can turn into dependency. At some point, the abstraction begins carrying more authority than the living person. Beyond 2027 This Venus retrograde has had me thinking about luminosity. There has been a lot of darkness around me lately, with people in despair, people protesting and burning things, while others seem almost cool about what is happening. I can also be subject to that field when I am not standing inside my own luminous space. The upcoming Full Moon in Taurus next week, since Venus rules Taurus, brings me back to the other side of this Venus retrograde. Scorpio takes me into the underworld and confronts me with what I am afraid of losing. Taurus brings me back to what I actually need, what gives me value, and what creates enough security in my body for me to remain here without being consumed by fear. Value begins with my essential needs. Money is a technology that serves the purpose of supplying those needs through exchange. Confusing needs with rights and entitlement creates an entirely different relationship with value, and I see that confusion everywhere right now, including out in the streets. If I remain in a state of survival, I will not be able to thrive. The Cross of the Sleeping Phoenix makes this very practical for me. If I am my own person and take responsibility for my own authority, I learn how to care for my body and deal with the trauma I carry. I begin to understand what belongs to me instead of waiting for the State to organize my life. Expectation and entitlement belong to the old bargain of the Cross of Planning, and I am standing on the bridge where that bargain is changing. The Cross of Planning taught me how to rely on structures. The Sleeping Phoenix is asking something much more intimate: How can I sustain myself from within my own authentic nature? I have visions. I have full sensations in the body that I am not going to share here because I am enjoying them quietly. They are guiding me where I want to be. Time to dream. Time to create those dreams with beauty, with harmony, with love, with care, and with self-responsibility. This is a public episode. Dear Europe >>> + elsewhere

Protesting by destroying other people’s property is hardly an efficient or wise form of human action. To be honest, it’s quite retarded and oxymoronic, especially when you’re protesting economic hardship while creating even more financial burdens for others. And at the end of the day, who is going to pay for all this? This is a public episode. What Is Bitcoin Becoming?

THE INQUIRY I’ve been working on this article for several months, and I decided to put it aside because too many things were unfolding at once. I needed some distance to observe what was happening to Bitcoin as a network, to its value, to the scarcity that has defined it as sound money, and to the way people were behaving around it. I was also noticing the polarity that was emerging and observing my own relationship to Bitcoin while all of it emerged. I have spent years studying Bitcoin through Austrian economics, evolutionary astrology, time and market cycles, and my own empirical observations, and I realized that if I remained too attached to what I thought Bitcoin was supposed to be, or to what connected me to it in the first place, I could miss what it was actually becoming. That was practiced as distance, climbing to the top of the mountain to see the whole landscape un attached. I’ve always been able to read archetypes through time and recognize patterns, and with that comes a certain responsibility. I do not mean the accountability to predict what’s going to happen or to manipulate an outcome. I mean the obligations to observe carefully and make visible what I’m seeing, so somebody else may have access to information they have or not been able to distill from the same events because they’re standing from a different point of view. Before 2020, I would clash much more with other ways of thinking because I considered that what I was seeing was more correct, and that was what I claimed as my truth. I would become a moral authority around ideas and ideologies and try to convince somebody else to see things differently. I am much more interested now in observing, listening, making my own decisions, and allowing others the responsibility of making theirs. I allow morality to exist outside of my own authority, for I live through my own integrity and the foundation of my principles and ethos. Bitcoin has been perfect for me to observe this change because, other than being a sound asset, it became a state of consciousness where I could synthesize many things that I had already been practicing: my art, evolutionary astrology, Human Design, philosophy, and Austrian economics through subjective value, scarcity, incentives, responsibility, human action, sovereignty, trauma and the architecture of monetary systems. When I ask, What is it becoming?, I’m also asking: what happens to an idea once millions of different people begin acting through it, assigning value to it, building around it, fighting over it, tweaking it and using it? At the end, all of those actions begin to define something that is already transformed, or perhaps is permanently in a state of transformation. GENESIS In Bitcoin’s Genesis chart, dated January 3, 2009, at noon London time, we see a large concentration in Capricorn, mostly in the sixth house. Pluto and Mars are in a new-phase relationship, so desire and evolution are being initiated through action, close enough to the Sun to push that impulse toward visible expression and validation through function. Jupiter sits at 29° Capricorn, asking whether this philosophy of value can become useful enough, disciplined enough, and repeatable enough to hold up in the real world. Between the Sun and Jupiter, Black Moon Lilith and Juno are conjunct at 21° and 22° Capricorn, bringing sovereignty, contract, commitment, and responsibility into the same field and asking how much of the original uncompromising principle can remain intact once it enters structure. When Bitcoin came into existence, it was already carrying its own architecture: a protocol, rules, proof of work, verification, and a predetermined scarcity inside a network that depends on repeated participation. The North Node sits on the Descendant, while Mercury (6th house), Chiron, and Neptune are all in Aquarius in the seventh house, carrying another part of the story around freedom, decentralization, relationship, collective participation, and the future of sound money. The sixth-house concentration keeps bringing that philosophy down into practice: blocks have to be produced, transactions verified, miners have to mine, nodes have to enforce the consensus rules and relay valid information across the network, hardware has to work, and people have to maintain the infrastructure. Through those repetitive actions, and through everybody’s accountability inside the network, we begin to see how Bitcoin moves from an idea into something that can actually evolve through time. CYCLES All things, objects, situations, and people on this Earth move. They are in constant motion. A natal chart, or an event chart such as Bitcoin’s, is a snapshot of how the sky was arranged at the moment of inception: an archetypal figure full of symbolism that can be read. Because motion continues, the chart also continues to unfold. Bitcoin is approaching eighteen years of existence, and in astrology we can follow part of that movement through secondary progressions. Some of the original Capricorn emphasis on structure has already progressed into Aquarius. Jupiter had already moved there, followed later by the Sun, while Mercury has now regressed back into Capricorn and Mars still remains there. At the same time, in the last few years, transiting Pluto has entered Aquarius, coinciding with this progressive movement of the chart into the same territory. The Sun moving into Aquarius brings creative validation into networks, technology, decentralization, and collective participation, while Pluto is transforming that field at the same time. Aquarius, through Uranus, carries a different relationship to time than Saturn and Capricorn. Saturn measures chronology, duration, maturation, and consequence; Aquarius moves through acceleration, discontinuity, long-term memory, and sudden changes in pattern. It can feel as if different timelines are moving at once, or as if information travels faster than the structures created to contain it. Bitcoin carries both rhythms at once: the Capricorn structure that is meant to hold through time, and the Aquarian movement that accelerates through networks, technology, collective behavior, and changing definitions of value. Aquarius also carries a danger: when singularity is no longer expressed through individual accountability, a decentralized network can still behave like a mob, with people moving as a block and losing distinction between their own actions, motives, and responsibilities and those of the group. Mercury moving back into Capricorn changes the tone again, bringing meaning and communication back to questions of definition, structure, rules, and what Bitcoin is and is becoming. THE PALACE Saturn in Virgo in the second house asks for discernment around value, scarcity, responsibility, and what is worth preserving. Uranus in Pisces in the eighth house pushes toward freedom through shared systems, technology, collective capital, and porous boundaries. Venus in Pisces in the seventh brings relationship into the picture: the desire to merge, negotiate, belong, and enter agreements with others. The Moon in Aries in the ninth carries an instinctual emotional identity tied to belief, philosophy, and the need to define what Bitcoin means. Bitcoin wanted to enter the big leagues. It wanted to be recognized, institutionalized, traded, held by governments, corporations, funds, and all the entities that once stood outside of its original culture. The question is what it was willing to sacrifice in exchange for that recognition while trying to be massively adopted. The image of the young maiden entering the palace is relevant here. She knows she has value and believes she can enter the larger society without losing herself. Then she gets there and realizes she is not the only concubine. Stable-coins are there, ETFs are there, derivatives, credit, corporate reserves, strategic reserves, governments, institutions, all kinds of paper bitcoin, and all the other instruments competing for value are already inside the room under the same roof. She wanted to marry the big man and discovered that the palace itself had a much more complicated architecture than the one she came from. Naïve? ambitious? a Trojan horse? Saturn in Virgo in the second house asks her, and all Bitcoiners, to discern what her value actually is. Uranus in Pisces, opposing from the eighth, throws her/us into shared resources, collective capital, technological change, and financial entanglement. Venus in Pisces in the seventh wants an ideal, sublime, porous relationship. It wants to enter agreements, merge, participate, and encounter the other. Bitcoin has already entered structures that define value differently. What, then, remains essential? SOVEREIGNTY At the same time, Bitcoin is no longer sitting by itself inside a clean monetary experiment. AI, mining, energy, hardware, privacy, custody, data, and privacy/security are beginning to overlap. If sovereignty means holding your own assets, coins, and data, and taking responsibility for your own choices, how much of that sovereignty are we outsourcing to infrastructure controlled by somebody else? Are you running your own tools, your own node, your own miner, your own open-source llm autonomous models, your own custody, your own server, or are you voluntarily handing over your data, your behavior, your time, and your money to the same large systems you claim to distrust, from the tech bros to the government? CREDIT (the filthy word) Michael Saylor represents another branch of this evolution. He showed the corporate world how to use the fiat system itself to accumulate more Bitcoin and calls the architecture built around it digital credit. This is not a Misesian category. It is Saylor’s language for debt, preferred stock, securities, and other financial claims built on Bitcoin as the underlying capital base. Saylor’s own chart repeats part of Bitcoin’s Virgo–Pisces polarity in reverse. His Mars, Pluto, and Uranus in Virgo oppose Saturn and Chiron in Pisces, echoing the same signs that hold Bitcoin’s Saturn–Uranus tension. That does not make him “right” or “wrong”; it places him inside the same archetypal field, acting out one possible version of Bitcoin’s relationship with engineering, institutions, credit, and shared capital. Mises distinguished between commodity credit and circulation credit. Commodity credit is backed by existing wealth or savings; something real already exists behind the credit. Circulation credit is created without corresponding prior savings, effectively expanding purchasing power by creating new claims. In plain language: printing money. Saylor’s model sits somewhere between those two ideas depending on how each instrument is funded. Bitcoin can remain scarce while the credit built around it becomes elastic. He is an engineer applying an institutional strategy to an asset that was originally imagined outside that structure. I am less interested in judging the model than in observing what definition of Bitcoin it produces. The twenty-one-million cap can remain intact while claims on Bitcoin multiply. ETFs, derivatives, custodial products, corporate securities, paper Bitcoin, and different forms of credit can create exposure to Bitcoin without changing the base supply. So scarcity becomes a more complicated question. Where does it actually live? In the asset? In the claims around it? In the relationship between the two? Tether complicates the Bitcoin-versus-dollar story even further. Stablecoins connect digital monetary infrastructure directly to the dollar and to short-term Treasury markets, while some of the profits and reserves generated inside that structure flow back toward Bitcoin. The dollar and Bitcoin begin feeding into one another rather than behaving as two completely separate systems. HUMAN ACTION In one of the last seminar sessions, I was talking with Saifedean about something I had understood through Austrian economics: every decision belongs to the circumstances of that moment. What made sense ten years ago may no longer be the action required now because the conditions have changed. I told him that this was how I understood human action: the individual chooses according to what is needed at that specific moment. He agreed and said that was a good way of putting it. Later in the same conversation, I said: “Bitcoin is going to keep on changing. Not the network itself, but how people respond to it and how people react to it and how people deal with it.” I then asked him what he meant when he called money a network good. His answer was simple: “Money is a network good in that it’s your use of it and your choice of it depends on what others choose and what others use.” That conversation also touched something I had already been observing around Saylor, Tether, and the dollar. I told him that Strategy and Tether may be doing very different things, but both are finding ways to use the existing fiat system to accumulate more Bitcoin. I do not think the dollar is going to disappear in our lifetime; what we may continue to see is different actors using the dollar system, credit, stablecoins, and Treasury markets while simultaneously accumulating Bitcoin. There is no guru, no CEO, no god in Bitcoin. Each person chooses what to do with it, and those choices accumulate into the market, the culture, the institutions, and the network around it. His more recent comments about mining and AI extend the same idea. If AI offers stronger incentives for energy and computing infrastructure that had previously been directed toward Bitcoin mining, some participants may redirect those resources. The same principle applies to stablecoins: people use them because they solve a need in a particular moment, even when they remain deeply connected to the dollar and Treasury system. Human action responds to incentives, opportunity cost, and circumstance. The protocol can remain fixed while the economic behavior around it keeps changing. Principles remain, while the way they are applied changes with circumstances. If the purpose is sovereignty, sound money, individual responsibility, and the ability to act according to one’s own needs, then the form through which that purpose is expressed may continue changing. Human action is never frozen. Opportunity cost keeps moving with circumstance, and Bitcoin is moving inside that same field. BECOMING Bitcoin is approaching adulthood. What happens when an eighteen-year-old grows up and enters society? The original architecture is still there; the history is still there, the principles are still there. Then comes society: institutions, relationships, credit, governments, technology, power, alliances, mistakes, responsibility, and all the different people who want to use the same thing for different purposes. The eager young maiden who wanted to enter the palace is no longer protected by the mythology of origin. She has to discover what remains essential while everything around her becomes more complex. Last year, transiting Saturn opposed Bitcoin’s natal Saturn in Virgo, and for me that was a pivotal point in understanding what was happening. Saturn confronts the structure it helped build: what has matured, what has hardened, what still works, and what can no longer be preserved simply because it belonged to the original design. This summer culminated after months of arguments around spam, inscriptions, BIP 110, mining, and eventually the fork.¹ What I saw was a technical disagreement turning into a question about what Bitcoin is for. One side considered the monetary function important enough to justify restricting certain uses of blockspace; the other considered permissionlessness fundamental enough that deciding which transactions were legitimate already violated the principle of the network. The polarity also exposed people’s behavior at its lowest frequency. People who had once been friends were taking sides, hurting one another, becoming mean, and treating disagreement as if it required an enemy. I was watching people who had spent years speaking about sovereignty, freedom, and individual responsibility lose sight of those same principles in the way they treated one another. That became part of the phenomenon I was observing. The 2017 fork had centered largely on scaling and block size. This one reached further into definition: money, data, censorship resistance, governance, and who has the authority to interpret the original intention of Bitcoin almost eighteen years later. It also divided people who had participated in Bitcoin from very different moments in its history, including some of the early builders and a newer generation that inherited a network already carrying years of culture, assumptions, and ideology. I was less interested in choosing the correct camp than in observing what each position revealed about the meaning people had assigned to Bitcoin itself. Around the same time, several security failures made the idea of self-custody feel much less simple. Coldcard had a firmware flaw that compromised seed generation and led to stolen Bitcoin. Liquid had a validation failure. Core Lightning had vulnerabilities serious enough to force upgrades, and tampered Ledger devices raised questions about the hardware itself. None of this changed Bitcoin’s protocol, but it exposed how much sovereignty still depends on tools, vendors, and systems outside the protocol. The astrology echoes that tension: Saturn in Virgo in the second wants precision, verification, custody, and control over what is owned, while Uranus in Pisces in the eighth opens that value into shared systems and porous technological boundaries. Neptune over the Moon can blur the instinct of what feels safe, Pluto approaching the Descendant brings power into the relationships and networks we depend on, and Chiron entering Taurus brings the question back to ownership, value, and material security. How sovereign are your coins if someone else still knows who you are, where they are, how you use them, and you do not really understand how any of this works? I am still observing this phenomenon because there are too many moving parts to reduce it to one side, and I want to understand how they synthesize before deciding what position, if any, I need to take. The next few years continue through the same symbolic field. Bitcoin approaches its first nodal return in 2027, bringing the original evolutionary axis back into focus. Neptune is moving across the Moon in Aries in the ninth house, dissolving certainty around emotional identity, belief, philosophy, and the meaning assigned to Bitcoin. Saturn moving through Aries asks what can actually hold once those assumptions have been dissolved. The progressed relationship between Venus and Uranus in Pisces brings another layer to shared value, alliances, money, and the unexpected forms those relationships can take. Saturn crossing the MC while Pluto hovers over the Descendant during April 2027, brings authority and power into tension with relationship and network: who defines the structure, who enters the field, and how much individuality can remain intact once power begins reorganizing the terms of participation. Then January 2028 brings a solar eclipse in early Aquarius, close to the nodal axis and close to the territory Pluto is already transforming. In the United States chart I use, that same area is also close to the South Node. I do not read that as a prediction of one specific event. I see a period where questions around networks, government, collective power, decentralization, monetary systems, and individual sovereignty continue to be activated at the same time. Bitcoin is the sum of the people who use it. Someone holds it in cold storage. Someone buys an ETF. Someone trades derivatives. Someone mines it. Someone issues credit against it. Someone uses Tether. Someone runs a node. Someone builds a company around it. Each action expresses a preference, and each preference assigns value. That is why I keep going back to human action. The network can remain mathematically precise while the people around it are changing, adapting, contradicting themselves, making mistakes, taking risks, and choosing according to their needs. The collective eventually reflects the quality of those individual actions. Venus retrograde in Scorpio offers a good moment to look at that personally. Scorpio deals with shared resources, debt, taxes, dependency, entanglement, exchange, and the values we hold with others. So the question becomes very simple: what does Bitcoin actually mean in your own life? What are you using it for? What are you willing to risk? What are you protecting? What financial structures are you participating in? How much of your position comes from your own experience, and how much comes from identification with a group, a philosophy, or an idea of what a Bitcoiner is supposed to be? Henri Bergson understood becoming through duration. The past does not disappear behind us. It continues into the present, accumulating, pressing forward, creating the conditions for something new to emerge. “Duration means invention, the creation of forms, the continual elaboration of the absolutely new.” Bitcoin carries its Genesis chart, its original architecture, its scarcity, its history, every fork, every disagreement, every person who has acted through it. None of that disappears as it moves forward. It becomes part of what is still unfolding, and every person is going to meet it where they are, according to their own accountability. What is Bitcoin becoming cannot be separated from what we are becoming in relationship to it. This is a public episode. Property or Propriety ?

Early this morning, I was scrolling through social media (more specifically Substack), and I found this quote from the Li Ji, the Confucian book of rites: “The superior man is respectful and reverent, assiduous in his duties and not going beyond them. Retiring and yielding, thus illustrating the principle of propriety.” “道德仁義,非禮不成;教訓正俗,非禮不備;分爭辨訟,非禮不決;君臣上下、父子兄弟,非禮不定;宦學事師,非禮不親;班朝治軍,蒞官行法,非禮威嚴不行;禱祠祭祀,供給鬼神,非禮不誠不莊。是以君子恭敬、撙節、退讓以明禮。 This passage is from the ancient Chinese classic Liji (《禮記》, or Book of Rites), specifically from the chapter "Qu Li I" (《曲禮上》). The text was compiled and edited in the 1st century BCE by the Han Dynasty scholar Dai Sheng (戴聖), collecting earlier ritual philosophies from the school of Confucius. The English translation used here is by the British sinologist James Legge (理雅各), originally published in 1885 in The Sacred Books of the East (Vol. 27). I was scrolling fast, and I actually read property instead of propriety. I started the inquiry with the wrong word. Only later did I realize the confusion, but it had planted a seed for this article. I had not even read the quote properly. My mind took the word somewhere else. So typical, lol. Then when I listened to what I was dictating, I realized that I was mixing them up, realizing that the word was propriety, and these kinds of mishaps are what I enjoy so much about my self-inquiry, because propriety, proper, and property are connected through the idea of what belongs to someone or something, what is proper to its nature, and what sits within its rightful place. The confusion was not itself a mistake, it was one of those intuitive leads that makes the inquiry so rich itself. I focused on the word “property,” deciding to take it apart. Within the Confucian way of thinking, conduct reveals character. behavior: the 君子 (Jūnzǐ) what we can call the cultivated individual, the sage, the one who knows how to behave, understands his or her position inside a relationship and acts according to its measure. He carries what belongs to him and is also able to recognize the boundary that belongs to the other. Therefore, knowing when his action has reached its proper limit. Let’s dissect the word “propriety.” Here is the part that made me laugh when I looked it up: propriety and property come from the same Latin root, proprietas, from proprius, which means one’s own. For a long time, the two words were kind of the same thing. Propriety could mean ownership, and property could mean a quality that belongs to a thing. The English language eventually made a difference between them: something that pertains to land or something that pertains to etiquette and behavior. Both still carry the idea of what belongs to someone or something, what is appropriate to its nature, and what sits within its rightful place. Property here becomes part of the boundary that assigns value to the action. Then there is li, the Chinese word that the English translation turned into propriety. Li is closer to the gesture of something behaving rather than the strict definition of a character: how you bow, who pours the tea first, which seat is yours, the way a family does things because the grandparents did them. It is a form that insinuates and inspires in you a very specific behavior. Proprius begins with the thing itself, with what is its own, and moves outward from there. We can see that the Jūnzǐ, with this gesture of bowing, is part of a ritual and is acting from the inside. Obviously, my mind wanted to immediately distill it from the Austrian economics perspective. Mises begins with the acting individual. As an individual chooses and acts, he assumes the consequences. Rothbard takes this structure into property rights, where the question becomes very concrete: what is mine to decide and what is yours to decide, and where is the boundary between us? I ended up thinking: this phrase, “Know your place in the relationship. Carry your part fully. Respect the boundary of the other, and know when to advance and when to withdraw.” The economic structure within those lines gives action to a boundary, and once this limitation is clear, responsibility arises with it, within it. I can act within what belongs to me, and you can act within what belongs to you. The exchange requires that each person recognizes the other as someone with authority over his or her own domain. A property is something one owns. A property is also a quality that belongs to something by itself. Its nature, integrity can be a property of character, and discipline can be a property of conduct. A foundation has properties that determine what it can carry or not. Therefore, the final question is: what are the properties of a character capable of recognizing the property of another? You see here: the character, the person, the noble man, the sage, the person who is awake and conscious, is able to recognize his own actions and take responsibility for them. As that happens simultaneously, he’s also capable of seeing the limitations between himself and another situation, person, or thing (or the properties of this situation, person, or thing) and giving value to that. Therefore, he knows how to act. Yes, the properties of one character are capable of recognizing the property and limitations of another. Character is revealed through conduct. Confucian ethics is deeply concerned with the cultivation of a person whose behavior expresses an internal order. The Jūnzǐ develops the capacity to recognize measure, relationship, responsibility, and the proper place of his own action. If we think of Aristotle’s ethics, character is formed through action and habit. Virtue becomes a disposition, a way of behaving that develops through practice. A person learns how to judge a situation and act according to its particular conditions. Ethics is a practice. The properties of my character determine how I exercise my own agency. They also determine whether I can recognize the domain of another person. If I understand my own action, I can assume responsibility for its consequences. If I recognize the properties of the person, situation, object, or relationship in front of me, I can perceive its limits and give those limits value. A material has properties that determine how it can be used. A structure has properties that determine what it can sustain. A human being also has properties that determine how he or she acts. Property rights make this visible in economic relationships because they establish a domain. They answer a fundamental question: Who has the authority to decide? Mises begins with human action because economic life originates in individuals making choices. Rothbard follows the implications of those choices into ownership and property rights. Once I recognize another person as having authority over his own domain, my own action acquires a boundary. The boundary in itself is not just serving as a limitation that separates, but it actually has so much information. It imforms me what belongs to me to decide also what belongs to another. It tells me when an exchange requires consent, when responsibility belongs to me, and when the integrity of another person, object, or situation asks me to withdraw. Then the original Confucian idea of propriety becomes surprisingly close to the question that started all of this for me. What is proper? What belongs here? What belongs to me? What belongs to another? And what properties of my own character allow me to recognize the difference? This is one place where ethics, conduct, and economics agree: in the quality of the person who acts and in his capacity to recognize the limits that give value to action. I hope you enjoy this short article. I recently became obsessed with Cameron Winter and his Band Geese 👇 enjoy! This is a public episode. The Value of Commitment:

I have been thinking very much about value because we are about to enter yet another Venus retrograde in Scorpio. Venus retrogrades about every 1.6 years, and over eight years it returns to more or less the same area of the zodiac. Looking backward through 2018, 2010, 2002, 1994, and so on, I wanted to see where I was, what I was doing, what I was committing myself to, and especially what I thought had value at the time. Economic value is a practice. For me, this Venus retrograde moves through my 9th house, and Mercury will also retrograde through the same area. The New Moon next week in Libra is also going to be around the same neighborhood. My natal Moon is in Scorpio, and it falls in the 9th house. It is in a closing relationship to Neptune in the 10th, and the Moon in my chart rules my North Node in Cancer in the 5th house. Of course, I am interested in perspective, in seeking truth, and in going deeper into the underworld. This is my descent. I am interested in how perspective changes what I value, value being one of the signatures of Venus. How I listen to my needs and how I value those needs changes the choices I make. The 9th house in my chart is where I metabolize experience into meaning. That is probably why I keep going back through old cycles. I am looking at what I believed then, what I was seeking then, what I valued then, and what my behavior revealed about all of it at the time. The interesting part is the distance between those versions of me. That creates another pattern ready to be deciphered. Like a spiral it shows long term evolutionary processes. What becomes very salient every eight years; as of the last one in 2018, I have been working on economic value for a while. As for Scorpio, it deals with shared values, merging, commitment, confrontation, and the places where another person or partnership enters your field and suddenly value becomes something you have to negotiate with one another. It is also the place of the underworld where we meet our own deepest fears. Going back to Persephone and how she came out of the underworld and what she brought: what are the goodies here of my realization? The descent to the underworld will provide a sense of value uncovering truths. When you are learning what you need, you are also confronted with knowing what you are willing to give and how far you are willing to merge with somebody or something else while remaining inside your own life. Commitment takes a turn here. It sounds romantic until we look at what it actually requires: our time, our attention, our energy, and the fact that we follow through. Our choices and the repetition of them will sometimes feel like a sacrifice or an offering. Sometimes saying yes to one thing means saying no to something else. Economics is fundamentally concerned with choices. Resources, time, attention, and energy are finite, therefore every decision implies an allocation. This applies not just to money, it surely applies to relationships. ROI, opportunity cost. Where am I putting my time? ROI means return on investment, a simple financial metric used to measure the amount of profit or loss generated by an investment relative to its total cost. Where am I putting my attention? If I am spending hours trying to get somebody to do something they already told me they want to do, because they want me as their accountability mentor, what am I actually investing in? At what point does accountability become me carrying somebody else’s commitment? In the past, I would sign up for that because I felt it was important to be there for others. Now, coming into this retrograde, I have been re-evaluating how I want to relate to the other. I have the South Node, Jupiter, and now Mars transiting my 7th house in Leo, so if my relationship to the other is not solar, there is no point in connecting. Some people speak about what they want all the time. I do it too. Then there is what I actually do every day. What time I wake up. What I postpone, what I practice; where the hours go. At some point, behavior starts telling the story more clearly than intention. At this point in my life, what interests me more is what unfolds in the present moment between two people, two points of contact. It could be situations and things as well. The shadow can surface there too. I just don’t want to enter the relationship through responsibility for somebody else’s process, or by carrying something that belongs to them. A person can sincerely want something and continuously choose actions that move somewhere else. What is the commitment behind the intention? Sometimes I am seeing a version of myself from 25 years ago through another person. I know somebody can eventually cross it because I did. The problem begins when, because I can see the route, I start investing in whether the other person will take it. I can care about their potential. I can understand exactly where they are because I lived there myself. Needless to say, I just do not want to finance that potential with my time anymore. Venus in scorpio retrograde through the years: In the fall of 1994, I had just moved to New York. My perspective was completely different because I had moved to a new city and committed myself to becoming an artist without even knowing how to do that. That was my wish, and I made it happen. Skip school, get a studio, absorb everything in the city hands-on. Become an artist by practice not degree, and so I did. Eight years later, in 2002, I had put a lot of effort into getting exhibitions, selling my artwork, getting representation, and attending several residency programs. I also noticed that I had become much lazier with personal habits. I was taking a lot of substances, barely eating, working in the middle of the night, waking up at midday, and living inside a rhythm that had become normal to me. One day I looked at myself in the mirror and I looked tired. I had black bags under my eyes. I was 37, and I remember saying: “I look like s**t. I must make a change.” So I did. I quit smoking cigarettes using a hypnotist. That was fun. I stopped drinking alcohol. I can do that with no problem. And I started the practice of meditation. Once I became serious about the Taoist practice, the biggest crutch I had was weed. One day I woke up and asked myself: “Do I want to have a smoke, or do I want to meditate?” The answer was obvious to me at the moment. That was more than intention, it was an orientation, I was making sure that this was the road I wanted to take. There is something very simple in that moment, I already knew what I wanted. The question was whether my actions were going to agree with it. Then, in 2010, after the economic chaos of 2008 and 2009, I came to the realization that I had a vault of value in my studio and my storage unit, and I needed to do something very different from what I was doing, change of compass again. Thus far, I had been expecting people to come to me, to find me, to invite me to exhibit, to buy my work, and so on. In one phrase, I was very comfortable being discovered. That was a beautiful fantasy until you start realizing that the hustle was a big thing in NYC. I did something completely unusual for me. In 2009, we had moved to a loft in Chinatown in New York, and I had a lot of space. I decided to dress all the walls with my work, sort of like having a retrospective in my home and studio at all times. Just seeing my work on all the walls was very educational to me. It was jarring and very disturbing for my ex-husband BTW. I am laughing here just with the thought of it. lol. Then I started inviting people to do studio visits. Poets, curators, museum directors, gallerists, friends, non-friends, artists, musicians, people I met socially. In New York, you can be a social butterfly every day. You meet people all the time. It was easy for me to ask: “Do you want to do a studio visit?” They would usually agree. As I kept extending the same invitation over and over, something interesting happened. We were looking at the work, and we were talking about the work. As I was talking about the work, I was listening to myself. Every time I spoke about the work, every time I explained something, every time I answered something, I was hearing my own relationship to the work. I was hearing my own voice. I have to tell you guys, this was the best education. The years 2010 and 2011 became a very important moment for me. I regained the understanding that the work I had created thus far had so much value, and I was becoming a full steward of it. I started expanding my vision of where I wanted the work to reach. The value was already there. I had to recognize it. Recognition and validation have nothing to do with creativity in my sense. Eight years later, life had moved again. I had gone through a divorce in 2015. I made very bad decisions with money in 2016 because I was so desperate to untangle myself from that relationship that I gave priority to cutting off the relationship rather than staying with resources. That was my opportunity cost. In retrospect, that was the price of freedom, a toll in the journey I happily paid… By 2017, I had started studying evolutionary astrology and Human Design. During the Venus retrograde in Scorpio in 2018, I entered another very productive period. I started doing more commission-based work, I decided to leave the middlemen behind. I started reading a lot of astrology charts. I kept studying deeply and committed myself to one-to-one mentorships with astrological teachers for a period of four years. I also added other kinds of practices that shaped the way I do readings and tend to my needs these days. My commitment really paid off. I am already living inside the return on that investment now. Eight years later, I am returning to the same Venus retrograde family from a completely different place. In 2018, I was learning how to rebuild value after a period in which I had lost a lot financially, emotionally, and relationally. Now I am interested in where I place value. That changes the orientation. Let us talk about commitment. Commitment is where value becomes visible. You can say you value something forever. At some point, in your life the truth is not the same. Life gives us so many opportunities to orient ourselves toward our purpose, toward the intention and the desire that the soul has in this life to evolve. My father died on his second nodal return. I was not surprised that his cycle ended there rather than continuing into another orientation. In his natal chart, he had South Node conjunct Pluto. That does not mean death. Transformation and completion were deeply embedded in his evolutionary line, and other aspects were active when he died. His life was short. His absence became a presence in mine. Some things I have been able to understand in my later years: his absence actually gave me the authority I needed to become my own. During my own second nodal return in 2001, I was at the World Trade Center as part of a residency program. I have spoken about this video many times. I recorded there on September 10, 2001, and I left around midnight. The next morning, the towers were gone. I knew then that it was not my time. I got a new lease on life, and I did my best to use it accordingly. My third nodal return came the week after the lockdown in 2020, and I knew something had shifted again. My orientation, my purpose, was ready to find a home in my creative endeavors. I moved to Miami Beach. What I am watching now is another rhythm. Venus retrograde in Scorpio is followed, a 1.6 years later, by the Gemini Venus retrograde family. I have noticed that whatever perspective changes during the Scorpio retrograde, a few years later, when Venus returns through Gemini territory, I tend to make a very big shift in how I live it. In 2020, Venus stationed retrograde almost exactly on my natal Venus in Gemini. By the end of May, the idea of leaving New York had begun to grow. By the time Venus stationed direct in June, I had made the decision. On July 30, I moved to Miami Beach after 27 years in New York. the next venus retrograde will be between May 10- June 22, 2028. can’t wait to see what I cook.. Perspective had become behavior. Astrology has been one of the languages I use to understand my place in the universe. I have studied with extraordinary teachers. Over the last couple of years, I have been slowly untethering myself from the guru, the therapist, the other person who becomes the surface where I work out my own shadows. Those mirrors gave me something valuable. I learned how to create those chambers inside myself. That has changed what commitment means too. I can receive guidance and remain the author of my own experience. Venus has a lot to do with listening carefully to my needs. Once I know what I need, i can negotiate. I have leverage. I can enter a relationship and deal with the needs of another person while remaining connected to my own. That is also why Scorpio is bringing. Shared values require some form of merging, and merging requires a lot of clarity. What is my commitment right now? I am going through Pluto on the Ascendant, and that is going to take a few more years. I am observing that I need to see new pastures. That does not necessarily mean moving out of where I am physically. It has more to do with how I move around the city, who I meet, and how I meet them. All those years of being a mouse in a mouse hole since I moved to Miami Beach are gone. I regained a tremendous amount of freedom in those years, and I became very comfortable inside it. That freedom has a lot of value. The real fear is losing the freedom that I have regained. How would I know if I do not practice it? Trust. Trust has become less about waiting for confirmation and more about knowing that I can enter an encounter and remain inside my own value. The relationship is not the assignment. The encounter is the practice. So I am starting small. New activities. New empty rooms. Shooting ranges, Sailing, who knows…. Going somewhere because I am genuinely curious about what happens there. I want personal encounters. I want to see what happens when I enter a space and allow the encounter to have its own scale. I want to meet people where they are. This is how I felt a couple of weeks ago when I was in Framingham doing the research for my public art commission. I already wrote about that trip in another article. I was meeting interesting people with no connection to me whatsoever. In that meeting, in that lapse of time, what I enjoyed was meeting myself there too. What I have found out is that I do not have to agree with everyone. People do not have to vote for the same candidate or have the same ideology for me to encounter something meaningful. There is something else I am noticing through the work itself. Recognition and validation have nothing to do with creativity in my sense. This is the difference between being a creator and being a performer, and I finally released myself from the latter one. I care about the intention and whether the work carries it. Right now, while I am still designing the Framingham piece, I am thinking about how intention moves through color, shape, materiality, and the way somebody encounters the work. I am less interested in standing next to it explaining what I did. The work has to carry the commitment. The work stands. The intention is inside it. It is a silent validation of intention. For me, that is a shift. What I am finding right now is a synthesis of where I can find something meaningful in the encounter. 42 days as a practice of value I am going to use this Venus retrograde as an exercise. From October 3 until November 13, we have 42 days. For the first part, I want to write every day: What do I value the most today? Where is my commitment today? What am I willing to confront and let go of? This is the Scorpio part of the journey. Going into the underworld, looking at what I value, what I fear, where I am overinvested, where I have merged too far, and what I am ready to confront. On October 23, almost exactly halfway through the 42 days, we have the Venus cazimi. I want to use that moment as a point of reflection. Having gone deep into the Scorpio underworld, what have I found? What am I afraid of? What have I been willing to confront? What have I brought forth from that descent? In terms of perspective, what do I now see as a potential for becoming? From there, the exercise changes. Venus returns to Libra on October 25, and now I want to ask: What needs do I have to preserve? What gives me leverage in a relationship with people, situations or things? What am I willing to negotiate? What do I want to keep fully mine while I relate to another person, situation or thing? How do I remain inside my own value when another person, situation or thing enters the equation? Mercury also enters its retrograde process in Scorpio on October 24, reaches its cazimi on November 4, and turns direct on November 13, the same day Venus turns direct. So the whole process keeps asking similar questions through different functions. Venus is looking at value, needs, exchange, and relationship. Mercury is looking at how I understand it, how I name it, and what I have learned from going over the same territory again. Mercury finishes retracing its path on November 30, and Venus finishes hers on December 15. By then, Libra and Scorpio will have gone through the retrogrades, the direct stations, the shadow periods, and the New Moons. The exercise is simple: First, the descent, then the encounter, then I walk the same ground again and see what changed and where am I orienting myself. Look at where Libra and Scorpio fall in your chart. 1st house: re-valuing your commitment to your individuality and the way you inhabit yourself. 2nd house: re-valuing your commitment to your needs, your resources, and your sense of value. 3rd house: re-valuing your commitment to your expression, your voice, and the way you communicate. 4th house: re-valuing your commitment to your roots, family, ancestry, and inner foundation. 5th house: re-valuing your commitment to creativity, pleasure, authorship, and what you bring forth from yourself. 6th house: re-valuing your commitment to your daily practices, your work, and the way you tend to your life. 7th house: re-valuing your commitment to relationship, reciprocity, and the agreements you make with others. 8th house: re-valuing your commitment to intimacy, shared resources, trust, and the ways you merge. 9th house: re-valuing your commitment to meaning, truth, perspective, and the experiences that shape your philosophy. 10th house: re-valuing your commitment to your direction, your work in the world, and the authority you are willing to embody. 11th house: re-valuing your commitment to community, friendship, collaboration, and the future you want to participate in. 12th house: re-valuing your commitment to solitude, surrender, reflection, and the inner life that supports everything else. Journal it. See what you find. THE WHEEL OF CONSCIOUSNESS

We are right at that point of equal night, equal day, the equinox. The cycle reaches the opposite point from its beginning. What initiated six months ago now exists in relationship to something outside of myself, in relationship to the other. Six months ago was the I AM moment. The beginning. Awareness. Instinct. Emergence. This year that equinox came with Saturn and Neptune together in Aries, already describing something about where we are heading. Three months later, at the summer solstice, the impulse had acquired form. Roots. Identity. Belonging. In the Northern Hemisphere the Sun reached its maximum declination. Now comes the descent. In three months we arrive at the winter solstice, where the outer movement reaches its minimum. Whatever survives becomes seed. We are at that moment the autumn begins at an opposition. In Evolutionary Astrology, the opposition begins the Full Phase. The subjective experience developed through the first half of the cycle encounters objective reality. Almost like a Full Moon. I was born under one. The equinox can be understood as: I meet what my anxieties have created. In spring: What wants to emerge? In autumn: What did that emergence become once it entered relationship with reality? Libra. We enter the descending half of the solar year. The biological world begins moving toward conservation rather than expansion. Energy goes inward. Leaves fall. The movement descends. Something shelters. Something gets released. Something remains. Evolution alternates between outward and inward movement, Yang and Yin, emergence and consolidation. The EA phase model describes that movement clearly. This is annual involution. We just moved through Virgo, discernment. Now Libra asks for equilibrium. What do I want? What do we want? How do desires and needs find a place of integration? The zodiac is its own book. Its own clock about space, time and reality. It shows. Past. Present. Future. Time as space. Cycles inside cycles. The equinox is a coordinate. A change of direction. Look at the four cardinal points and the architecture is there: beginning, culmination, descent, new beginning. And then, only a few days later, the sky repeats the story. The Full Moon on September 26 is in Aries, around 3°. Neptune is there too, retrograde, almost on the same degree. Saturn is retrograde around 12° Aries. Mars, ruler of Aries, is finishing Cancer before entering Leo. Pluto is at the beginning of Aquarius. Uranus is at the beginning of Gemini, Pluto and Uranus remain in trine; Neptune and Pluto in sextile, Neptune and Uranus in sextile too. There is soft geometry in the sky as the cardinal axis is being activated. Mars is also leaving Cancer and squaring Chiron, which has recently moved back into Aries retrograde. Mars rules this Full Moon. The vulnerability of being oneself, of showing one’s own desire, is at stake now, and Mars is doing this from Cancer, from the territory of family, ancestry, belonging and emotional inheritance. What happens when what I want begins to move in a direction that is different from what the family field wants, or from what I have inherited as a way of belonging? I do not have the answer to that. For me, the geometry is different. This Full Moon falls in skip-step with my nodal axis, it activates the cardinal cross around it. The South Node describes an established self-image. The North Node describes the direction of development. So the question for me is very simple: What direction has been trying to reveal itself all year that I can now actually see? It has a lot to do with ancestry. Capricorn. Inheritance. Legacy. Duty. Burden. Responsibility. Guilt. But also, it has a lot to do with opening my heart, pouring all that love into creative forms, and reaching out through my work without creating any expectation of being seen, just being solar all the way. I have Natal Pluto in the 8th house. Current Pluto is squaring my Jupiter-Sun-Mercury Rx in early Taurus. The perspective of my values, my self-validation, and how I internally communicate is being transformed from the inside out. How I meet value has changed. How I evaluate value has shifted. How I validate myself has gone full revamp. I recently surrendered this thought: I do not depend on the value of an inheritance/land to be a person of value. My value shows itself in what I actually meet, day by day. Meeting it means giving up something else, the opportunity cost of every choice made instead of another. That cost, weighed against my essential needs, is what I now call pure leverage. Aries says: I know what I want. I act from instinct. Neptune asks: Where did that desire come from? The desire I used to have is dissolving into something different, something never felt or performed. The beginning that started earlier this year is showing me another possibility, another direction that I am not so much in a rush to conquer, but slowly give shape to. At the same time Pluto is passing through my Ascendant in a three- to four-year cycle, and I am right at the eye of the storm. I am still inside it. I understand the storm while being inside it. I do not know yet how I leave it, but I know that leaving it begins with acknowledging that it is what it is, a storm, becoming aware of what is moving around me and what belongs to me inside it. What can be inherited without having to be repeated? And then, unexpectedly, I started watching Yellowstone. Actually, I became obsessed with Yellowstone, the television series created by Taylor Sheridan, beautifully portrayed in the state of Montana, with the cowboys, the cattle, the land, the families and the history underneath all of it. I have been binging it, and somewhere underneath all the plots I started thinking about preservation. What do we preserve before we innovate? How do we continue evolving without losing what gave us continuity? And at what point does preservation itself stop evolution? The word preservation has also been appearing repeatedly in another part of my life. I am preparing a new public commission in Framingham, Massachusetts, and during my conversations with the people involved in the new judiciary building, preservation kept surfacing. I have a presentation next week, and I am digesting the whole process, discerning. At one point, the architect told me that I had to be careful using the word preservation in the context of the building. I turned around and said, “Oh, really? Interesting. Let’s define preservation from the architectural point of view.”1 It is interesting because I am going to restore and reuse part of the marble from the old building that was built at the beginning of the 20th century. It had multiple uses. It was a high school and became a museum, and now the site is being turned into a regional judiciary center. I do understand the idea of restoration, repair, reuse, and the value of a material, but at the same time, I understand the constraints that she was feeling during my conversation. While I was talking to many people in the community, I had a sense that they want to preserve something about Massachusetts, and then one of the judges said that they basically want something familiar, such as the landscape, or the seasons. Those two words go along with what I’m talking about, but if I define them, they both say that change is dangerous. That’s the tension that we are creating here, within the building, within the system What are the people actually trying to preserve? A structure? A memory? A civic identity? A way of using space? A sense of familiarity? And then another question appears, because familiarity can be supportive, stabilizing, even necessary, and it can become limiting when familiarity hardens into the values a society assumes should remain intact. So preservation is no longer simply about keeping something. It becomes a question of discernment. What deserves continuity because it carries life, and what is being preserved because it is familiar? Land. Survival. Cattle. Food. Territory. Property. Autonomy. Stewardship. The individual and the state. The individual and the collective. Who has the right to occupy and sustain a piece of Earth? Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn are cardinal. They create a tension between who I am, where I belong, how I am going to find harmony, and what eventually becomes institutional, protective, and supportive. The next axis, Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius, is fixed. What begins in the cardinal signs becomes established, held, and preserved before the mutable signs, Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces, begin another movement of adaptation. Taurus is what I value.Leo is how I validate myself.Scorpio is how I share those values.Aquarius is how I liberate myself and become my own person. So yes, the land and the territory and the politics are there. Yellowstone is giving me something else to think about in relationship to what is happening in my own family. What are the right decisions? What leverage does each person have? What am I supposed to take from all of this? What am I moving forward with? I do not have those answers. I am in the process of a repartition of inherited property. I do not need to say much more than that. There is ancestry being continued through property and through other people, and the property itself is being divided. And sometimes these partitions create real divisions. Family dramas and grievances usually start much earlier than the property itself. They have to do with how each person perceived belonging inside the system, inside the tribe, and how each one experienced the love, or the lack of love, coming from one parent or both. If the impression was that there was never enough love, enough recognition, enough belonging, then dividing property after the parents are gone can trigger something much older than the property. Especially when there was no trust already created to hold the structure before death. The material division can reactivate the emotional division. That can be very painful, and it needs to become cathartic. Otherwise the grievance stays in the family system and moves into another generation wearing a different costume. I have made a commitment to liberation from that. Some days ago I made that commitment very consciously, and I feel good with it. I do not want to carry the grievance forward simply because it was handed to me. I surrendered all the burden I had carried, set myself free from expectation (Libra), and placed the accent on what really gives me value: my actions (Aries). That makes the question of preservation much less abstract. What needs to be preserved? What can continue through someone else? What belongs to ancestry and what belongs to me? What am I carrying because I choose to carry it, and what am I carrying simply because it arrived through inheritance? And then the cowboys. I love everything about it, horseback riding, the land, cattle, mountains, and relationships… The real cowboy story is much richer than the Hollywood cowboy. The American cowboy comes through the Spanish and Mexican “vaquero” tradition, through the Southwest, through cattle, horses, land, labor, migration and survival. Spain. Mexico. → The American West. Then mythology takes over. The cowboy becomes freedom. But freedom from what? And based on what? This brings me to homesteading. John Locke asked a very old question: If the Earth exists before private ownership, how does something become mine? His answer begins with the individual. The body. Labor. What labor produces. You work something. You transform it. You establish a relationship to it. Property begins there. Then government appears because now there are competing claims, boundaries, disputes, inheritance, protection. This is where the idea of property becomes very physical. Body. Food. Land. Labor. Shelter. Survival. Taurus. The EA material describes Taurus through the survival instinct, the resources needed to sustain life, value and meaning. Then the United States of America makes the idea literal. The Homestead Act. Settle the land. Live there. Work it. Cultivate it. Improve it. Stay. Eventually, a deed, -> a title. The relationship between labor and ownership becomes law. And immediately another question appears. The land was already inhabited. So whose relationship to the land counts? The person cultivating it? The person hunting across it? The person grazing animals on it? The person whose ancestors lived there? The government issuing the document? The person holding the deed? The person who improved it? The person who inherited it? This is why property rights remain unresolved everywhere. Different systems recognize different kinds of claims. Labor. Occupation. Ancestry. Conquest. Purchase. Inheritance. Law. Custom. The problem is still alive. And by all means I am not trying to solve it here. I am just observing it. Because Yellowstone keeps me asking the same question: Who owns the land? Who worked it? Who inherited it? Who has a historical claim to it? Who has a legal claim? Who decides? And what happens when several of those claims are true together? Land becomes political very quickly because land is survival. Food. Water. Shelter. Territory. Continuity. Inheritance. And politics is behavior between people. What happens when one person’s freedom meets another person’s claim? What happens when the state enters? What happens when violence emerges? What happens when the collective enters? What happens when the family enters? What happens when ancestry enters? There is paper. There are lawful/legal rights. There are percentages. There is property that existed before me. There was work before me. There was sweat before me. There were ancestors before me. And now all of it is translated into documents, signatures, numbers and divisions. Semi-peacefully. That alone has changed the meaning of inheritance/legacy for me. The inheritance has value. It does not determine my value. And now preservation enters here too. Ancestry can continue without everything remaining physically intact. Property can continue through other people. Something can be bequeathed, divided, transferred, transformed, and continue to carry ancestry. The question is what needs continuity and what has completed its cycle. The autumn equinox reflection reads: What am I harvesting from this year? What am I willing to bring forth into winter? How do I make sense of what was inherited from the past without becoming possessed by the inheritance itself? How do I receive what came before and remain free to begin again, and learn to accept it peacefully? A few days ago, I had this beautiful dream. I was in the middle of it, observing what was happening, outside of my body. My body was resting, and as my head was lying on the pillow and I was breathing peacefully into the night, a familiar face came through the dream and left some lamb chops by my night table that needed to be cooked. This familiar face also left a bottle full of spices. It also carried a letter handwritten with a seal on it. Last but not least, a bottle of aromas that could be seen as something that brings the perfume or the smell of something familiar. I woke up with a very beautiful feeling, and I understood something that I have never, ever learned: how to receive without having to give back. This dream with a familiar face allowed me to receive without creating any sort of expectations or any kind of equivalent. Inside the dream, I proceeded to cook the lamb chops, wear the aroma, read the letter, spice my food, and remain in the tangible feeling of what caring really feels. As part of the wheel, I have been researching why I am so tied to the history of the United States when I was born farther south on this same beautiful continent, the Americas. There are connections between my natal chart, the chart of the United States, and events across my life that I am looking at. My Ascendant sits at 6° 56’ Aquarius, and Pluto is hovering that same degree the next upcoming months, the same degree where Uranus was discovered in 1781. The same degree where the South Node of the USA sits. The Sabian symbols read one degree up from the placement, so the symbol governing this point belongs to 7° Aquarius, a child born out of an eggshell. New mutations arrive here. Fresh potential moves according to the great rhythms of the cosmos, not according to what I plan. This is transpersonal responsibility, moving past old, rigid societal traditions and into a reality that has not existed before. The egg itself is the cosmic egg, an inner matrix, a protection, the birthplace of something virgin and untamed, a life or a consciousness that has not been shaped by anyone else’s hands. What can be inherited without having to be repeated? That image belongs somewhere in this larger investigation because it says something very strange about continuity. Something is born carrying life forward without reproducing the ancestral form in the usual way. It may belong to the next article, because it opens the question of my relationship with the United States chart and with 7° Aquarius much further than I want to go here. That is another article. For now, I stay with the wheel. Autumn asks for discernment. What remains after expansion? What is ready to fall? What survives contraction? What do I carry? What becomes seed? And from inside this Pluto storm, perhaps I am learning what I can preserve, what I can inherit, what I can release, and what can be born without having to repeat what came before. And also, the most joyous of all: how can I actually learn to receive? This is a public episode. The witness

I’m in Framingham, Massachusetts, researching a public artwork called Equilibrium Is a Process, which will take another three years to complete. I’ve spent the week talking to judges, chief magistrates, probation officers, curators, architects, engineers, masons, Uber drivers, and people across the community. The whole week has been about systems, behavior, accountability, trauma, justice, and what actually allows individuals to create different outcomes. I came here to witness. That keeps becoming the position I trust most. I can observe, absorb information, hold a position when necessary, and leave space for things I do not fully understand. The ground has felt unstable lately, and movement has been essential. When I stop, everything comes up. So I move, I observe, and I keep asking what equilibrium actually means when equilibrium itself is a process. At the same time, I was contacted by a major television network about my September 10, 2001 video. I’ve been the custodian of that video for f&cking 25 years, allowing people to publish it, show it, and interview me about it. I agreed to this interview under very specific conditions: they could use a particular excerpt only if the complete artwork was embedded on their website exactly as it exists, with its sound, title, and context intact. The story did not run because they were more interested in protecting themselves from liability than in preserving the rights of an artist who had copyrighted the work, both the images and the music. And that interaction made me realize something very clearly: I no longer have to talk to people about that video or that event. I have done that for 25 years. I have preserved the work, protected its context, answered questions, given interviews, and allowed people access to it. The door has closed. It’s over. Gone. Finito. Bye-bye. I was the custodian of that work, and now custody also means knowing when the work no longer needs to be available to everyone. Some images from my trip: my mind now: Listening to this fabulous episode. I will finish it today before my flight. Refreshing! “Misunderstanding digital reality, maybe the right word is computational reality. As an empirical test of logical statements, if our universe is intelligible and understandable, it needs to pass through the gate of computation to prove that it is logical to actually believe and tell each other ‘true statements.” ~ Nicholas Marino This is a public episode. Postmodern Noodle Soup

Eclipsisms What are we discerning now? Can you reflect on it and see the truth? Oh my god. I did not think I could have survived the tornado of what the eclipsisms was. But here I am, integrating, seeing the same things from a different perspective. Allowing my body to take shape and to speak to me how to integrate what I have been able to witness and where I am going right now. It is an exciting moment, yet I must walk slowly just to make sure that the steps I take are solidly grounded, and where I want to go. The intuition is still the same: being solar, being radiant, being creative. But now with what I have seen, with all the ugliness and anguish, I am more aware that every step I make on a moment to moment basis is defining the shape of the kind of life I am living. I am also conscious of the surface of what I am seeing on the outside that is reflecting what is inside. I am taking my space and my position within the system. Remaining helpful, but not trying to overwrite, to overpower. Being patient, avoiding any urge of control. Being attentive, inquiring into even my place in community. The Mirror of Merging I want to give an example about the way I’ve been relating to relationships in general, and how different they are right now because I am not attaching myself to what it would mean for me to not have those relationships in my life, and what do they mean right now that I’m aware. Throughout my life, whenever I entered a new relationship, it was out of an intense attraction and compulsion, out of an eagerness to merge and to become one with it, to feel transformed by that vitality of it that would last from the beginning until the end. I was never afraid of ending it, but always very concerned about living it fully, fully, because that’s what gave me life. The new awareness is slightly different. I am conscious about the triggers of wanting to merge as one, knowing that with time, that’s going to make me feel resentful and frustrated. Because all I want is to be able to be in true relationship with myself, without the compulsion of the merger, nor the compulsion of fixing, giving, or caring that actually happens at the end of the union when I realize that I have given all to the relationship and am left empty inside. Needs and values have given me leverage over the past ten years since I started becoming conscious of my behavior. Many called that intensity; for me, that was simply my norm until I saw it as a window to explore, and shadow work became a daily practice. In relationships that are being rebirthed again, like the spiral, you do not start where you left off. You start where you are at. If you had left off in a part of the circle and you have already engaged in some reflections and some evolution, you start where you are at. Therefore, because you are in a different place altogether, you can see the difference. If you start in the same place you left, you are going to start reacting out of habit instead of responding from a place of truth. Using inspiration rather than force, using aspiration (breath) rather than fear. I could be in a room alone with myself. The next test of that is always the room with another person, situation, or thing in it. These mirrors keep on appearing, and now they expand to two floors in Massachusetts of a Judiciary building. Equilibrium, Ethics, & Integrity I am going to Massachusetts next week. I started a new Public Art Commission. I am excited. It is going to be in a Judiciary building (Regional Justice Center), designing an artwork that envelopes two floors in the waiting area. What moves me is to create an atmosphere where people can have a place of reflection. The building was designed in a way that there’s a lot of light coming from the outside, so it’s not dark. My work, always colorful, uses geometry. The building won’t be finished until 2028, so we still have time, yet the design has started and needs to be completed in one semester before fabrication. The main concept is that equilibrium is a process. Unlike a flat line, equilibrium moves like emotions or wavelengths, having different moments where rhythms create frequency. The frequency is really the relationship between one point and the other that translates into time. So it is through time that one can see emotional waves as clarity. My intent with the commission is to create a space where people can take their time to inquire by looking at beautiful things that reflect on where their lives sit in relation to choices—such as landscapes, old maps, and city shapes embedded in abstract geometric shapes that stem from surveying the local architecture, shaping the idea of what equilibrium could be. Now, if we go deeper into what ethics means to me in relation to morals: I just have to retreat a little bit to first principles as a foundation where humans can stand. And then integrity as the individual capacity a person has to measure their own ethics. Integrity is the core of humanity, of an individual, and it is what keeps a person aligned with their virtues. Ethics is a practice of virtues such as honesty, excellence, humility, gratitude, generosity, kindness, discernment, and courage. And that creates equilibrium when it is in a state of awareness. People have called me individualistic and I have always responded affirmatively. There is no collective or tribal container without individual ones. Carl Jung put it plainly: the individual is the only real carrier of life, and all collective identity without self-knowledge is just a crutch. Now, my beef is with morality. When that word was translated from the Greek ethos to the Latin moralis, it started shifting because its value was assigned by an external authority outside of the individual. Morality is a curse, and if you are thinking that I do not have any morals, then you have to understand that the morals I do not abide by are the ones that have taken authority outside of the individual and handed it to something outside of yourself. What started as just an insight about eclipse release builds these questions: Where are you standing? What is your integrity? How are you bringing light to your life, and therefore how are you radiating your essence to contribute to humankind? Integrity is mine. Morality is just something society wants to borrow. Postmodern Noodle Soup, instead back to Ancient wisdom Nowadays, society throws around words like Democracy without really understanding their real meaning and connotations, or the current sense of confusion they invite. We live in a Postmodern Noodle Soup where symbols and concepts are stripped of their origins, leaving individuals completely lost because they rarely do the inner inquiry required to know what these words actually mean, what they actually signify, and how to use their meaning properly. A circus, a puppetry of sorts, yapping against each other: please turn the noise off. To decipher the semiotics of our times, we have to tune to the ancient foundations. Look back at what happened to Socrates, who was put on trial by a democratic court in Athens in 399 BC, accused of corrupting the youth and failing to acknowledge the state’s gods, and sentenced to death by drinking hemlock. A democratic vote executed the most virtuous man in the city. Hemlock acts as a progressive neurotoxin. It paralyzes the body from the feet upward, slowly creeping through the system until the respiratory muscles freeze and the victim suffocates while remaining fully conscious. That physical execution is the exact mirror of what happens to a society that abandons self-inquiry. When individuals stop asking questions, stop practicing the Socratic method with themselves, and accept empty symbols without inquiry, a mental hemlock takes over. The mind paralyzes from the ground up. First, you lose the ability to discern truth; then you lose your personal agency; and eventually, the collective suffocates under its own compliance. And this is where the word discipline reveals its real meaning. Discipline shares its root with disciple, from the Latin discere, meaning to learn. A disciple is simply one who learns, and discipline is the devoted, daily practice of what you are learning. We only truly learn within ourselves what we can actually practice. Choosing the right mentors and the right principles allows us to become disciples of life itself. Plato learned from Socrates. Traumatized by the democratic execution of his master, Plato dedicated his life to writing The Republic to expose how unexamined crowds inevitably corrupt justice, before passing his pursuit of wisdom down to his greatest disciple, Aristotle. Aristotle became the absolute foundation of Western civilization as we live it today. In works like the Nicomachean Ethics and Politics, Aristotle taught us that virtue is not a static theory or a set of external rules handed down by authority. Virtue is an active, disciplined practice, a daily habit of how a human decides to achieve equilibrium and live a noble life. At its core, Aristotle shows us how to cultivate good in action, anchoring the central question I carry into my own daily life: How can I do good, not just for myself, but for the common good? What is behavior? It is the way we compose ourselves with ourselves, how we make decisions, and how we keep our integrity. When you do that through relationships, whether one-on-one, with your clan, or collectively, that is what determines the outcome. I do not need to quote the things being spoken in the media, because you all already know. This brings me to praxeology, the science of purposeful human action, which was formally developed in the early 20th century by thinkers like Ludwig von Mises. Grounded in John Locke, Cicero, and Aristotle, Mises showed that praxeology is always intentional: individuals make conscious choices over time to achieve chosen ends. Human action is the root of true economics. Politics is the collective behavior of a civilization, but praxeology focuses on the individual. That purposeful action is how our choices relate to our own sense of value. That value gets projected outward across the scarce, mortal time we have in our lives. We do not know when we are going to die. Therefore, every single decision we make is an economic one based on opportunity cost. Money, as a technology, is an economic good. Just as food is a good that satisfies hunger, or defense is a good that provides security, money is a specialized good designed to facilitate trade and store value across time. Economic systems are not separate from us. They are mirrors of human behavior and human values. When you lose your internal integrity, your sense of value breaks down. When you stand in your authority, every decision becomes a clear statement of what you actually value. Praxeology tells me that every choice is made against the length of a human life. Purifying Legacy We have a New Moon on September 10th that falls at 18° of Virgo. September 10 and 11 for me are very charged. It is the title of the video piece that I recorded the day before the World Trade Center was attacked, 25 years ago from Tower 1, 92nd floor. I am not going to celebrate this quarter of a century for many reasons, because there is nothing to celebrate, and also because given what we know right now, more than what we did back in the day, I am more in the realm of the conspiracy theories that this was an attack that was prepared and enacted for us to start yielding our rights to the powers that be, governments as a long form program of compliance. This was one of the first Psyops of many, going really way back and as near as the 2020 horrendous program. Next week on the 11th marks the third anniversary of my mom’s death, and so it overrides the World Trade Center. That is in the order of appearance. This is what is most important: how to keep her legacy, keep her name, keep her love, keep everything that gave to us, her children, and humanity in a way that is purified, discerned, clarified, refined, so we can keep the essence of it. This Virgo New Moon is absolutely fantastic given the times we are in, because it is a new way to refine, to edit out, to bring in, and to use discernment instead of judgment. In my case, this is the full circle, because it falls directly in the house of how I merge with others. I am giving myself the opportunity to understand how I compulsively want to merge with something outside of myself, but giving myself also the time, the space, and the awareness of taking it slow to understand my commitment and compromise when I merge with something. The aspects are very supportive. A T-square between Chiron in early Taurus, Pluto in Aquarius, and Venus in Scorpio, all in early fixed signs, creates a set of crises of what we value, how we leverage and allow transformation in society to enact, focusing on refinement. Venus and Mercury enter a new sign, in a part of the sky that will soon activate Venus and Mercury retrograde this fall. Later at the beginning of 2027 we will have Mars activating Virgo and Leo, while the planet of action reverses and gives us an opportunity to revise discernment of action and learn how to behave solarly. Refining the legacy of my mother, it is a full act of discernment. A Semiotic Interlude (A Note on Process) A quick note on process. Halfway through editing these dictations, I kept thinking about the word semiotics, which in my understanding is the study of signs, symbology, and perhaps more important, how we assign meaning to things. Derrida (différance) and Baudrillard (simulacra) came to mind. One Greek ex-boyfriend (Omiros) and one Viking ex-husband (Dag) both became scholars of semiotics. Maybe I was attracted to them because I’ve always been attracted to finding the meaning of things, but my school is not that. My logic is not that logic. Mine, as you can see, is the logic I search to decipher from something emotional, how I process the wave. So I decided to run an exercise with Gemini, one of the three LLMs that I work with, translating my raw morning thoughts into semiotic terms to see what the surface symbols of my life were actually trying to tell me from the semiotics point of view. Because it is not one of the lenses that I use. As you know, because you’ve been a reader, I use other kinds of logic. I use evolutionary astrology definitions, I use systemic constellations, Austrian economics, mathematics, harmonics, Mythology, Psychology, I use Jungian psychology and shadow work. I use different devices. So Gemini this morning is saying, an eclipse, as in sky event, also becomes the signifier for a total season of disruptions: No s**t! And the word that started as a typo, and then was coined, Eclipsism, just fitted fully. A relationship with a person, situation, a thing, also works as an icon I have been using to chase completion through merging. The Judiciary building is set up as a stage testing external morality against internal methods. So it has been a fascinating exercise to decipher the symbols to decode my process. But once I mapped it all out, as always, I knew I have to come back to my own voice, my own words, and my own integrity. Because after all, semiotics can help me read the mirror, but only I can decide who is looking back. This is a public episode. Some Exhaustion Brings Some Closure

Hey everybody, the Lunar Eclipse was last night, around 12 hours ago, and I had been anticipating this for a while. The good thing about being an astrologer is that nothing comes as a surprise, but even if you know the relationship between the planets, their archetypes, and the power that they have, you cannot really predict. The whole scope is not about prediction, but it’s about understanding the meaning and the potentials, which is the reason why I follow the stars, or they follow me, whichever way you want to see it. It’s been building up for a while, and I can really confirm that the release is here. I have felt it tremendously through a feeling of sorrow, loss, endings, and dissolutions. I actually would like to stay with this feeling for a couple of days if I can, because it’s within the space that I have enabled to sense and feel it in my body. I can really look back and say, “Oh my God, this was coming for a while, and it was being built. It had its crescendo, and now it’s just in the pure state of dissolution.” Not everything is going to be washed away, but certainly there was a lot of cleansing in many ways. What I feel, other than the sorrow, is that there was a lot of confusion. There were veils that were taken off, and I could see a lot of ugly things. At the same time, I did not want to feel defeated. I didn’t want to feel depressed, like anything with a D: defeated, depressed, desolated, disillusioned, desperate. I wanted to be able to feel more attentive to this cycle. I can go 18 years ago and tell you what was going on, or even 36 years ago, but I don’t want to do that exercise to try to figure things out. I want to stay here. I want to stay with the uncomfortable feeling that I had, this morning a little bit after the eclipse. I woke up in the middle of the night, and I had sort of apnea. I couldn’t really breathe, so I had to sit down and listen to Gregorian chants, which I will share below. This is the beautiful Psalm 91 sung by monks in Latin. I had to run some errands today. I had to go to town and do some practical things, like a power of attorney kind of document, so I had to go to a different part of town. I don’t drive, so I had to leave the island of Miami Beach and go to an old part of town called Coral Gables. I just did what I had to do and sent these documents to my brother, there are many things that are being finalized in my family, and they have been building up. I didn’t realize how much I had been carrying. Just to put it in perspective, I’m going to say, from the physiological point of view, (German New Medicine which I have spoken a couple of times in this space.) When I did the immersion in Vancouver with Tiziano, when I came back, I started having a terrible, terrible pain on the right side of my neck, it was unbearable, and I had it for many months. Looking at it from a different perspective, I was saying: what is it that I don’t want to see from another point of view? What is it that I’m stuck on that I don’t want to see? I started seeing, “Oh, I have to have more openness. I have to calibrate more,” and I did. Fast forward a few weeks. I was at the big pool in Flamingo park where I sometimes go, and in a clumsy move, I hit my diaphragm and my ribs on the right side. The pain was unbearable. I couldn’t do hypo-pressives. I couldn’t really swim anymore. It was like three weeks of just waiting for it to heal. It’s completely healed right now, that was also a lesson of patience. I was thinking to myself, “What is it that I’m overholding?” The thorax and the diaphragm really help hold the organs in the body. I was feeling, “What is it that I’m holding in my family? What is it that I’m overprotecting that it is not for me to protect?” That was something to look for. The funny one (it’s just not funny, haha, but it’s funny): a few weeks later, It had been raining in Miami for a while, so I couldn’t really sunbathe as much as I like. I decided to take two days off and just go to the beach from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. I don’t use anything on my skin. It’s fine. I’m a carnivore. I don’t ingest any seed oils. I don’t do any creams, so I’m fine without it. I basically overexposed my skin and never felt pain or anything, but within a week or two, I started noticing that I was peeling off, especially on my face. I was like, “Oh no, what does that mean?” The skin is the last surface of the body that meets the environment, and it’s also how we protect ourselves. I was saying, “Oh, this is interesting. I’m also changing skin. I’m changing the way I’m relating to things because I realized that I needed to have a new perspective. I realized that I could not hold and control the outcome of things that were being very difficult within my family. Therefore, I needed to take off my skin and then embrace a new me.” All of these “symptoms” were already in a state of resolution, which means that the conflict was already carried on, and the resolved symptom appears just to confirm. "The most beautiful part of your body is where it's headed."― Ocean Vuong, Night Sky with Exit Wounds This is what happened with this eclipse. That’s why I feel like mourning pretty much everything that I’ve been doing since I was a child after my father died. That’s the part that is present now. I’m not sad that I feel the sorrow, but I’m not like, “Oh my God, what am I going to do?” No, no, no, no. It’s a different feeling, so I want to share that it’s very intimate. I’m not going to tell details. I don’t care to share them, but they’re not important for anybody other than myself. I am very much improvising to what feels best at that specific moment, so I don’t have any resolution to tell you. I’m not going to do astrology today. Who cares? I’m going to share a set of videos that are beautiful: “The Psalm 91” sung by the Gregorian monks in Latin, just beautiful, but there’s this beautiful record that one of my favorite artists, Nick Cave, recorded. I believe it was 2022. “Seven Psalms,” and I’m just going to play them here below. They’re absolutely beautiful. The eclipse fell on my Saturn’s first house in Pisces. This is where the resolution is. This is where structures are built internally. This is where my sense of authority is not coming from a father figure, but it’s been built throughout time. This is where I can actually see me as an individual, as myself, and that’s where I am right now: complete surrendering to life. "Some nights you are the lighthouse / some nights the sea / what this means is that I don't know / desire other than the need / to be shattered & rebuilt."― Ocean Vuong, Night Sky with Exit Wounds Have you felt any sorrow? Have you felt that there’s something that has shifted and is different? How do you feel in relationship to the beginning of 2026 and now, close to nine months after? What are you looking forward to in the future? As for me, I feel excited when I see the future, but I think there’s still a process to be received in the next two weeks before the new moon on September 10th. I will probably speak more about the upcoming retrogrades with Venus and Mars, Venus supporting intimacy with relationships and Mars discerning about what we choose in our lives to embody our own sense of self. Addendum: This morning, a day later, I woke up to a huge thunderstorm. It has been a while since I didn’t have such an incredible show of light and trembling so close. I grew up with a lot of thunderstorms and we learned to count the seconds between thunder and the cracking sound, apparently it determines the distance. Today, the average was 2 seconds, quite close, it was not frightening, the rhythm was soothing, thus I was like, “Okay, so today’s gonna be a different kind of day.” I want to keep focusing my attention on the little things; perhaps shifting it less on regulating my nervous system since now I know how to respond when things get a little bit off course. Now it’s like, “All right, how do I transform and receive this opportunity into a creative encounter with the light?” It is 11:30 in the morning, and it looks like it was midnight because it’s so dark. I’m going to spend the upcoming hours doing something that I love doing, which is studying and revisiting ancient history. By doing so with curiosity it grounds me, at the same time allows a new perspective fulfilling something that kept me going when I was young, which was curiosity, and knowledge about history that grounded meaning and direction. Seeing things differently from a point of view that I have revisited not once but many times in my life. Have a great weekend. I’ll be back in such a different form. This is a public episode. Mesmerizing

What does it make it? Mesmerizing, as soon as there is some light integrating the realm of fantasy, imagination, even of god, with the realm of touching, grounding, earthing, the material that leads us to take action to decide. At times, the decisions can be very blurry, or they cannot be absolutely defined. Since I was little, I was always wanting to stay in this liminal place where I could still be dreaming awake. I would see colors, listen to sounds, and be mesmerized by the stimuli that my senses were perceiving, but was that real, or was that something I was making up? Fast forward many, many years, now I feel that this is how inspiration lands: it lands because I hear something, I see something, I am stimulated by my senses, or even better, by my emotional body. The senses are trying to translate into a form, to a shape, to a sentence, to an idea, into something that must make sense. I like this liminal space that we are in right now in the collective, where most of the things that are revealed are possibly waking more people up. The conspiracy theorist already knew this because we were able to sense these anomalies. We were able to trust our bodies with the knowledge of what really was going to hurt us or not. As an artist, I work not with less is more, but I start with more is more. The more, the merrier. I get stimulated by music or landscape or even just words and ideas, and then I go through a whole journey of accumulation of these, gathering them either printed on the wall or in places that I can have a distance and observe them. This practice is super important, not only in art but in life. The accumulation of stimuli can sometimes distort what we see, our perception. If our perception is distorted, then the narratives we create can have severe consequences. What happens when I can no longer create that distance? “If the doors of perception were cleansed every thing would appear to man as it is: infinite. For man has closed himself up, till he sees all things thro’ narrow chinks of his cavern.” — William Blake, The Marriage of Heaven and Hell These times and in the next 18 months, we have the possibility to really grasp beyond this timeline that you perceive as reality. Like Ulysses in The Odyssey, who gets lured by the sirens, it is not his sexual appetite that moves him, but the appetite for knowledge, for knowing what is real in that moment. We all get lured by fantastic shapes, by possibilities of self-glory, by being loved by someone or a whole group of people. In reality, can we really see ourselves? How is our reality mesmerized or not? Odysseus gives me another question: can I listen to the song without surrendering the direction of the vessel? was the danger the song itself? if not, the danger appears when the lure smashes the direction with a false sense of authority. Let us explore the word “mesmerizing.” Etymologically, mesmerism takes its name from Franz Anton Mesmer. He believed that an invisible, universal force could operate through and between bodies, something he called animal magnetism. What passes between a body and an image, between one person and another, between memory and perception, that gives something enough force to enthrall us? I love this word because, throughout my artwork, I have been told many times by my commissioners, clients, and the public that my work has this capacity to mesmerize, to hypnotize, leading directly to Hypnos, sleep. I keep returning to this language throughout this inquiry: dreaming awake, waking up, illusion, delusion, awakening from a dream. Perhaps mesmerization exists somewhere along that threshold, where I am awake enough to perceive and still capable of dreaming what I perceive into another form. In a way, I see myself as mysterious at times because I do not even understand the definition of how I am seen or how I see myself. Depending on the perspective, I could see myself more as a logical intellectual wanting to find out the meaning of things, or sometimes as the loopy, foggy persona that wants to keep things in the mystery because it is a safe place to be. Now, it is neither one nor the other, because I have not been going back and forth. I have been integrating how these qualities served different purposes. I will zoom out a little bit so you can connect to what I am saying. If you zoom out in your life, let us say one month, one year, one decade, and possibly more, and you go back to what was motivating you in your childhood to be curious and fascinated by how reality worked, find yourself in the room when you were a child and see what you were surrounded by: -Did you have musical instruments? -Did you have posters of people that you loved, movies? -Did you have a rack of books? -Did you have a space in the garage that had many tools or vehicles? -Were you always out in the field running around behind a ball, a football, or bouncing one on the court? What kind of motivation was luring you to pay attention to something or someone where you could feel included and feel taken? In my case, it was always between two things: being with a large group of people, laughing, dancing, playing tricks, being a menace for the group because I always had crazy ideas and I was not perhaps the most sane leader in the group. Giggles will lure me, stupid jokes will fascinate me, but at the same time, those are very silent, well-kept, mysterious questions that wanted to go and investigate: -Read books. -Watch movies to get lured by other people’s narratives. -Heavy journaling and always creating something (a young photographer and clothes-maker). -Ponder how reality was possible. -Were the planets real planets? -Could I reach them? -Questions like this simply became: Where did my father go once he crashed his car and perished? -Where do dead people go? -Can I communicate with them? -Can I read his underlined books to find him? -Why do I have to believe religion telling me that he actually is in heaven? -What and where is heaven anyways? The questions, little questions about how things work, became existential, and that has been my path. I got mesmerized by the bigger questions, perhaps induced by the absence of my father or the willingness to be so close to him. I created a whole new reality that mesmerized my life. Only in the last year have I been able to understand this kind of projection, because if we take how projection works, it is fascinating. In order to project something, you need a machine, or a device. You need something that emits light, and it is pointed at the surface. The distance from the lens to the surface is going to determine the size of it. This is where the word projection becomes almost literal in my life, from the Latin proicere, to throw forward. The English word first appears as an alchemical term for casting a powder onto molten metal to transmute it. Something inside throws an image forward. The image lands on a surface outside of me, and distance changes its scale. What I carry inside can suddenly appear enormous simply because of where and how it is being projected. Now, take it that you understand a little bit about lenses. You will have to have the capacity to focus. Use a lens, like the one in the eye, to focus so that what you see is clear or not. Without the focus, you just see smoke or light being projected, but you will not have any refined image. And no one else can focus that lens for me. Someone may point toward the image, question it, love me, confront me, or stand beside me while I look at it, but the adjustment of focus belongs to the person looking through the lens. Even our projections in life, sometimes coming from very strong emotions that were not resolved in childhood (AKA trauma), can create narratives, create images, create opponents, and create enemies. If we feed them and we surround ourselves with situations, people, and things that are feeding that urge, we may arrive at places or situations that are absolutely detached from what we all call reality. I know I am speaking in tongues. I am mostly trying to talk about something that I have been witnessing, but there is no need to tell the details of my life very directly. It brings, at times, pain and it brings joy, depending on what perspective I am looking at. So what feeds a projection until it becomes powerful enough to recreate reality? Repetition? Emotional charge? An unresolved need? The validation of others? The pleasure of finding confirmation for an image we have already decided is true? At what precise moment does fascination become possession? Projection becomes especially hungry when it is trying to fill something that has been missing. Then every new event can become evidence, every person a character, and every coincidence can be recruited into the narrative. All I know is that every day, every morning that I wake up, I want to confront my life with what is the dream and what is the reality that I am building. This idea of mesmerization can be very positive if I am aware that I can create beauty, but at the same time I can create awareness. We are one week away from a very powerful eclipse, and I have been studying a little bit the fixed stars, the guardians of the sky. They do not move or they don’t seem to be moving as they are so far, far away. The angle from which I measure them does. The upcoming eclipse is going to have the fixed star Fomalhaut, the mouth of the fish, the Watcher of the South, directly next to the full moon in Pisces, at 4°. Granted, my Saturn is exactly that degree, so this eclipse is going to land on my first house with the ruler of my South Node. Saturn is the structure I built without a father, from the inside, through my own experience. Fomalhaut asks that vision survive contact with the ground instead of dissolving into fantasy. The eclipse is lighting up the exact site where I already had to become my own architecture. I have Alphecca, Corona Borealis, on my Moon in Scorpio at 12° in the ninth house, conjunct my MC. The ninth is the house of looking for truth. My Moon there is already balsamic to Neptune in the tenth, already dissolving toward the divine instead of holding a fixed shape. Alphecca is the crown of eloquence and artistic sensitivity, carrying a shadow of sorrow or scandal through love when the gift is not held with care. The crown sits on my feelings, not on my identity, so what reaches the world is emotional truth wearing a crown. I have Antares, the Watcher of the West, on my Black Moon Lilith at 11° Sagittarius, in my eleventh house. Lilith is the energy that cannot stay quiet. Antares governs the spirit of adventure and obstinacy, vulnerability and truth, and in my chart it plays out inside groups, since the eleventh house is where it sits. I have surrendered by now, after my second Saturn return, any guilt, any sense of burden, anything that I brought from the past. I have, without a real authority, like a father figure, been able to build my own inner and outer authority based on my own experience. There is a sweetness and bitterness at the same time, the bittersweet knowledge and understanding that it is with the absence of my father that I actually found my own authority. That is a truth of my story, my narrative, but it does not have to be, and it never was, a sad one where I made myself a victim. On the contrary, trying to look for his image in everything he mesmerized me with when I was little is where I found my own truth, my own knowledge, my own capacity for trial and error. I owe to the system my place, and he also has a place in the system as the guardian and the compass of a life. Authority belongs next to mesmerization. I spent years looking outward for an image, following traces, books, questions, memory, and meaning. Eventually the search generated an authority built through my own experience. The image of my father could remain meaningful without having to become the authority through which I interpreted my entire life. Regulus is also going to be important in the eclipse. It sits on the other side where the south node, the sun and mercury will meet, and being the King. The crown is very much desired, and when one cannot have it, one can envy it and be enraged by it. There is only one position that a person with responsibility can afford to have, and it is the regal knowledge that you do not, as the Sun or a king or a queen, have to prove who you are. You just are. That is the difference between a diva and a queen, by the way. This is precisely where lack meets the crown. The hunger to prove, to be vindicated and loved, to possess the position, can make a projection tremendously seductive. Inner authority changes the relationship to the image because the crown no longer needs to be supplied by somebody else’s gaze. The danger that I find is when one is lured by the projection, and the projection becomes our reality. It is based on something that has been missing, so it has been fueled by lack. It is engaging with the motivation created by that lack, and it becomes very hungry to fill it. The projection becomes the scope, and it becomes, unfortunately, the way life is going to be enacted because it is so hungry to fill the space that it detaches us from our own reality. Mesmerization begins with attraction. Projection throws the image forward. Lack gives the image appetite. Repetition gives it substance. Eventually the image can become the lens itself, and once it becomes the lens, everything entering the field appears to confirm it. Take, for instance, somebody with: -A full moon in Taurus at 26° in the seventh house where Algol sits -The Sun and Neptune in the first house in Scorpio -Mercury in the 12th house in Scorpio -The South Node in the 12th house in Libra Algol carries the myth of the Medusa, the head Perseus severed and still held, still capable of turning a gaze to stone even after death. The star marks that head, the eye in a face no one could look at directly without being turned to stone. It is a star that blinks, its brightness visibly changing over a few days, and old astrologers associated it with the demonic head and its ominous gaze. If you have a planet or a point in your own chart conjunct this star, it is worth looking at closely, because Algol carries the narrative of wanting to behead something or someone, rage that rises until it possesses the life around it rather than moving through it. In this particular configuration, and in the person I am describing, if the projection is so strong that the illusion or delusion does not allow them to see themselves, they can actually start to suspect or not trust others. Everything becomes a lie, and people are stealing from them. The rage is there as well, and it rises to a place where the whole life, or part of it, becomes based on trying to fulfill that narrative. The question is: is it true, and how much of this narrative is attracting others to sustain it because it is convenient, or because they do not know better? It can actually create so much harm that even if the people around them have love and patience, it just destroys it. It is very powerful to be aware of what provokes this motivation, and it is usually, again, a sense of lack or a traumatic experience that has not been integrated fully. Not long ago, I saw this play out with someone near my sphere, and it is so difficult to watch because there is nothing anyone can do about this projection except that the person has to awaken from their own dream and their own mesmerization. You could have, for instance, Mars retrograde conjunct Algol, which could carry an enormous amount of rage, frustration, or the impulse to cut something off, but that same Mars could be in a trine to Pallas Athena in Virgo in the ninth house. And suddenly the story changes. Athena brings strategy, discernment, and the capacity to look at the situation from another angle. In the myth, she gives Perseus the reflective shield through which he can see Medusa without looking at her directly. That is perspective. The same Medusa is there, the same head is there, the same power is there, but there is another way of seeing it and therefore another way of using it. It is all about perspective. What interests me in witnessing something like this is the terrible autonomy of the projection. Love from the outside cannot automatically dissolve it. Patience cannot focus another person’s lens. Evidence may even become incorporated into the projection itself. There comes a point where awakening belongs entirely to the person dreaming. There is something sobering in understanding that another person’s inner reality remains their territory. I may perceive the distortion, I may experience its consequences, and I may stand at a distance where the image becomes visible to me, while the person inside the projection may experience it as completely real. I cannot enter another person’s lens and turn the mechanism of focus. What have you been projecting? What have you been feeding? What are you mesmerized by?What is feeding the thing that mesmerizes you?Can you create enough distance to see the image while you are still inside the experience? Can you recognize when imagination is opening possibility and when projection is beginning to organize the entire field? We are all given the possibility to look at what we are projecting and possibly change timelines, meaning waking up from the dream before the dream consumes us, and taking inner responsibility and authority for the reality we are creating. Maybe this is what I am ultimately interested in: remaining capable of being mesmerized. I want beauty to move me. I want mystery to remain mysterious. I want an image, a sound, an idea, a person, a star, or a question to open a door in my perception. I also want to know that I am the one looking through the lens. Can I remain mesmerized by life without surrendering my capacity to see it? “Midway upon the journey of our life I found myself within a forest dark, For the straightforward pathway had been lost.” — Dante, Inferno, Canto I, trans. Longfellow I recommend listening to the conversation below with Parker Lewis. It gets technical at times, but it is worth it. Money can be mesmerizing. Fiat can be mesmerizing. Bitcoin can be mesmerizing too, especially when you do not really understand how it works, what you actually own, where the yield is coming from, and who is projecting what. Parker is very clear that if you want to save in Bitcoin, the simplest thing is to own Bitcoin. The conversation goes into treasury companies, Digital Credit, volatility, cash, and even the price of a ribeye. This is a public episode. Shattering reality meets consensus

The first of the two eclipses of the season just passed, and I have decided not to talk about it without feeling it. There's something quite clear for me: reality has been shattering. It's been broken into many, many different crystals, and each crystal projects its own perspective, its own possible reality that can materialize. Now, there are two things that are very important to question in oneself: Where do I stand in my value? What am I consenting to? I’m going to explore a little bit the recent ingress of the North Node in Aquarius, with Pluto in Aquarius, and the South Node and Sun and Jupiter in Leo squaring Chiron in Taurus. This choreography has been creating both a crisis and a tough confrontation that is so welcome in the collective at many levels. I’m going to choose one subject very specifically, but this also applies to any other subject in your life. I’m going to be speaking of consensus, bitcoin, money, value, but you could take this apart and put health, medicine, Pharma. You could also write schooling, academics, herd mentality, and r3tardation, because I can give you examples today of many things that are happening that are shattering reality. I’m just going to give some hints so you can identify the same ideas also personally, because it all depends if you’re going through this on a personal level. Even though it’s personal, there’s always going to be a reflection of how you relate to the collective in your community. A shared field held together by independent nodes. Consensus belongs to the Aquarian realm when we understand it as a coordination among sovereign individuals. Yet, consensus itself is not automatically Aquarian. It can also become conformity, ideologically captured, or the unconscious rule of the group. In Latin, Consentire means to feel together, to agree to share a perception, and in Bitcoin, consensus has an even more precise meaning. Each participant independently verifies the same rules. No central authority declares what is true. Agreement emerges through verification. But when consensus acts through mandates, imposing itself against property rights and the body, it turns against the individual it was meant to protect. Is consensus something that belongs to the realm of the collective, to the shared field held by many, or does it always risk breaking into a single voice, a single decree standing in for everyone? I feel the pull of the future, the pull of my own sovereignty, my own singular frame, and I have to ask which one is actually mine to protect. A rupture is occurring now, just watch how the earth is shaking around the globe realigning tectonic plates via volcanic eruptions and earthquakes across many continents. I observe this shattering landing directly inside the values Bitcoin was built to protect. When value is held within the relationship, it becomes the meeting point where giving and receiving are embraced. Together they press against a shared intelligence I am watching form in real time, a pattern moving through the network I am part of. This pressure could be the crisis that creates an opening, that confronts my chance to relate to consensus as liberation, the way the world met it as submission six years ago. I know I did not allow the pressure to give in. I am looking at the chart of Bitcoin and its transits right now. I observe where its value is stored, and I ask whether the structure holding it is proven or only assumed. Harmony and relationship meet strategy and clear sight at its very root, and I know peace cannot be bought by giving up the principles that built it. I observe the original emotional image still alive in that chart, the first impulse, the memory of direct action, independence, self custody, the beginning of something that asked no permission from anyone. I watch that territory being claimed again by the collective mind, institutions, labor, infrastructure, hierarchy, regulation, the machinery required to keep something running. I ask whether the commitment behind it still holds together, or whether a shadow has fallen over its purpose while everyone waited for someone else to guard it. The most important thing here is not what other people are doing, but how I am revaluing my own commitment to what Bitcoin really is. Bitcoin does not move forward or backward until the individual takes responsibility for where they are standing. What is money? How am I taking care of my own needs? What just happened > a shattering reality is revealed I watch every actor arrive on stage now, the miners, the developers, the custodians, the corporations, the governments, the influencers, the guardians, each one declaring themselves the keeper of what Bitcoin was originally for. I ask myself if I am one of them, performing guardianship instead of practicing it. Can the individual remain sovereign while participating in the collective field? I do not agree because I trust the network. I agree because I can verify. There’s a fork splitting Bitcoin right now, coming from BIP-110, and it has people fighting over who is right about what Bitcoin even is. We have the clown, or the spook, Michael Saylor calling Bitcoin "digital capital" while turning STRC, his own company's preferred stock, into what he calls "digital credit," paper Bitcoin dressed up as innovation,⁸ and we have others insisting all spam should be stripped from the chain, which is its own kind of discrimination, deciding from the outside what belongs and what does not. Where the needle is, and where the needle should be, is decided by each individual, not by the consensus of everybody. There's a war over what sound custody is, coming from somewhere unannounced, as everyone silently agreed on trusting the field. It’s putting pressure on whether you should be in custody of your own coins, because there have been not one but several security breaches in the last ten days. Self-custody is not something that can be assigned to a third party. Once you choose how to take care of your own value, you become responsible for how that is done. One could say there is an attack coming from the outside, and why not, everything is at stake right now. And that is where I bring the early Pisces lunar eclipse on Bitcoin’s Venus, at 4° Pisces in the seventh house, arriving August 28th. That is the question of how we relate to the agreements we are making, the alliances, the value shared between parties, where we sell ourselves short. That needs to be questioned, and we need to put light into that, because without this discernment, we just merge into a blob without any possibility to choose individually. The eclipse squares Uranus on Pallas Athena in Gemini in the eleventh house, an opportunity for a radical re-patterning of collective intelligence. This is exposing how narratives circulate through the network and how quickly consensus can become manufactured, and that is exactly what is happening. People are taking sides, and people are scared, because what they were standing on before is no longer solid ground. We do not agree because we trust one another. We agree because each of us can verify. What I'm observing from my point of view is that this is happening across many different disciplines, not just Bitcoin. I'm watching it in medicine, and despite the evidence confirming what we, as conspiracy theorists, knew was right because we were following our instinctual protection to our bodies, it was overridden by the consensus of the very weak. They not only signaled us as being murderers. I do not blame Fauci for any of it. I blame the people who complied without ever questioning, the ones who let another man's word replace their own verification. I’m okay with it because I never felt rage, and I felt a sense of relief and release when 99% of the people that I knew walked away from my life. It was actually a very good flush. It was like, “This is what it needed to happen.” I'm also watching it in academics, in the credentials everybody clings to. DEI, diversity, equity, inclusion, is f*cking nonsense, nothing but more division, more judgment, more discrimination dressed as virtue. We're watching the fall of a man put on a pedestal, caught in the very thing he preached against, who chose to end his life rather than stand inside the consequence of being seen for what he was, a mirror of inflated ethos built on the hunger to be seen, not on integrity. A sad story for sure. I am not saying he, or anyone, followed that pattern exactly, this is my own interpretation, laid over a grief that is not mine to carry. But it stands as a mirror of what happens when a whole group of people follow rules so far from their own standing. There is a family grieving, and questions that remain unanswered. I dare to say this despite a person having died. What is it about the collective that you are pursuing without knowing who you are as an individual? The same question stands for every mandate, every rule adopted without asking whether it was ever yours to follow. None of this is a verdict on anyone's life, only a mirror held up to my own. What am I consenting to?What am I verifying for myself?Where have I delegated my authority to the consensus image of Bitcoin?Beneath all of it, what is money? Because the future of Bitcoin may depend less upon achieving collective agreement and more upon whether sovereign individuals still understand the value they are agreeing to preserve. Dialectics, or Why Language and Context Matter The word traces to Greek dialektikē technē, the art of philosophical discussion, from dialektikos, of conversation or discourse, conversation, rooted in dialegesthai, to converse. The deeper components are dia, through or across, and legein, to speak. Dialectic refers originally to a dialogue between two people who hold different points of view about a subject but wish to arrive at the truth through reasoned argument, using logic. They advocate propositions and counter propositions. The outcome might be the refutation of a proposition, a combination of opposing assertions into a synthesis, or a qualitative improvement of the dialogue itself. Unfortunately, in these last times, this is not what we see. We are seeing people at war, using ad hominem insults. I raise my hand here, because sometimes I use the word r3tard out of frustration, and I want to clarify what I mean by it. I never use it from a place where biologically someone carries a handicap. I use it for a mind or an understanding that has been arrested, because of emotional trauma, because of a lack of education, or because of an unwillingness to move around different points of perspective. The thought process itself is r3tarded. So when I say this is r3tarded, I am not insulting somebody’s intellect directly. I am saying they cannot see from different perspectives, and the speed of their understanding is off. There is also the possibility of seeing things from an unmovable place. A stagnation starts from there. When things are static and do not move in another way, it arrives at a place where no dialogue can be achieved. The string of words thrown across when dialogue and eloquence cannot be met is racism, r3tarded, communist, fascist. It is interesting, because all these words once carried real weight and real meaning, and now they are thrown back and forth like a tennis game. It is ridiculous. To take on the Aquarian quality is to be objective, to watch a position without needing to defend it or destroy it. The upcoming lunar eclipse on August 27-28th offers exactly this, discernment instead of reaction. Embracement has to be felt and trusted, and it does not depend on outer authority. It is the inner authority that aligns with its own need for value. Once we have seen what our shadow is, the shadow comes from the individual who is not yet acting from its own authority and is projecting it onto the collective. Another incident happened not long ago in the realm of astrology, when Steven Forrest, an old and revered teacher, used the N-word while speaking to a colleague who happens to be a person of color. He was not bothered by it, but oh boy, the whole community ostracized him. This same community of astrologers, the one that pushed the jab, calling people names, is not surprising to me when all this collectiveness has arrived at a place of stagnation, when people choose the safety of the herd over the courage to speak plainly. Let the walls crack and the light show the darkness. I ask myself the question every day: am I being solar, am I radiating from my own light, or am I still being driven by the waters of the collective herd? Choose Life: Entropy,Order,& Alignment

What organizes human life? What preserves agency in an age of increasing entropy? How does a human being create order without surrendering freedom? When there is entropy, we create a system. We create an alignment. Order Order requires deliberate, sustained effort. Entropy is the tendency for structure to dissolve when that effort is absent. Let's say that it operates in different contexts. In physics, it is a natural tendency of energy to become more dispersed and less available to do work. In some other kind of information theory, entropy is the uncertainty or unpredictability. In living systems, entropy is the drift towards disorder unless energy is continually invested to maintain organization. In human action, entropy is the gradual decay of coherence, relationships, habits, institutions, or knowledge when they are no longer cultivated. So a concise pairing could be: Order is the sustained investment of energy into coherent structure. Entropy is the spontaneous drift away from that structure. Or in a more philosophical form, order is maintained. Entropy is what happens by default. This distinction is important because entropy is not "evil" or a force with intentions. It describes the statistical tendency of systems to move toward more probable, less constrained states, and less energy and information are continuously applied. Order demands continuous energy I would say still that entropy is one of the most misunderstood concepts in science. Often translated as disorder, chaos, randomness, they don't really describe it in a useful way so it describes the tendency of systems to move toward states that require less organization, left on its own. A garden becomes overgrown. A house gathers dust. A language changes. A body weakens. A civilization loses coherence. Nothing has to attack these systems. The absence of sustained work is enough. Every organized system requires a continuous investment of energy to preserve its structure. A living cell constantly repairs itself, the immune system patrols the body, muscle strengthening only through repeated use, memory requires reinforcement, trust requires action, freedom requires responsibility. Therefore it is an ongoing process, not a static condition. Life itself is an extraordinary example of this principle because every organism exports entropy into its surroundings while maintaining an internal state of remarkable organization. We eat, we breathe, we repair, we eliminate waste, we sleep and move because remaining alive is an active process rather than a passive one. From a psychological perspective health is the body's continuous capacity to preserve coherence while adapting to change. Aging may be understood as the gradual accumulation of entropy that eventually exceeds the body’s repair mechanism. Entropy appears whenever attention fragments. Relationships deteriorate through neglect more often than through conflict. Skills disappear when they’re not practiced. Values become slogans when they’re no longer embodied. Spiritually entropy invites another question. Intervals Gurdjieff described this exact same phenomenon. A line moving straight ahead eventually loses power. The entire system implodes. He mapped this process using musical scales. The half-step intervals like mi–fa and ti–do act as cosmic speed bumps. Momentum stalls at these points; evolution stops, decay sets in immediately; a deliberate shock changes the outcome. External effort forces the system onto a higher level. Conscious action overrides automatic decline. Chaos, entropy, and what Gurdjieff called the interval are not interruptions to life. They are moments in which our existing organization is no longer sufficient. They invite observation, calibration, adaptation, and choice. Crisis then becomes more than disruption, it becomes the threshold through which a new alignment can emerge. Objective View Evolutionary astrology offers another way of observing entropy. The sky reveals a quality of a moment in time. It provides a symbolic language through which we can observe recurring development patterns, both individually and collectively, and whether they are in resonance or dissonance according to the relationship they establish between them and between who is observing them. The recent Full moon across Leo and Aquarius illuminated precisely this tension. The Sun and Jupiter in Leo brought attention to the individual, the identity, creative expression, and sovereignty, and the capacity to radiate from one's own center. Opposing them was Pluto and the moon in Aquarius, exposing the forces reshaping the collective institutions, network systems of belonging, and the structures through which society organizes itself. It was creating a T-square with Chiron in Taurus, making anything that is related to value, and needs very vulnerable. Entropy appears whenever an existing form no longer carries enough coherence to sustain itself, so sometimes this becomes visible in our personal lives. We recognize habits that no longer reflect who we are. We discover relationships that have lost reciprocity. We realize that the identities we once inhabit have become too small for the person we are becoming. The same principle unfolds collectively: institutions reach their limits, borders are tested, economies reorganize, technologies redistribute power, and social agreements that once appeared stable begin to reveal their fractures. These moments are not evidence that order has disappeared. They reveal that an existing order can no longer contain the complexity that has emerged. The current nodal axis continues to sharpen this process. As the attention moves towards Leo, each person is invited to examine the coherence of their own center: How do I create? How do I value it? Where do I seek validation? What is authentically mine to contribute? The collective can only reorganize through the quality of the individuals who compose it. Aristotle understood the city as a political community oriented toward the good life and shaped by the character and actions of its citizens. The purposeful behavior of individuals and the policies through which a city organizes itself describe the collective. Every civilization is ultimately built from Human Action. Every human action begins with a choice, and every choice either strengthens coherence or contributes to entropy. Invasion & Pledging the Fifth Just watching 60,000 young male Moroccans illegally crossing the borders of Spain in Ceuta in 24 hours was quite astonishing, seeing that Europe is being invaded. There is no way that order can be created, so that's another form of entropy: how you disorganize a system by allowing open borders and not understanding that this is going to create chaos in society. Economically, you cannot sustain that. You cannot just allow so many people to come in with no structure and then demand the country to give them documentation, give them jobs, and give them food. At the very end, in all socialist countries, the question is: who's going to pay for that? That, for me, is entropy. An institution decaying from within provides a clear picture of societal entropy. Anthony Fauci, who received a presidential pardon, sat before Congress this week and repeatedly pled the Fifth Amendment. This situation presents a clear oxymoron: a pardoned public official taking refuge in constitutional silence. The White House now confirms what critics like myself labeled a "conspiracy theory" from the beginning. The entire scam pandemic response operated through unlawful mandates, forced vaccinations, and public deception. The primary figure responsible for these policies stands before Congress and mocks accountability. Yet I also assign responsibility to everyone who complied with the mandates and helped Mr. Fauci become so entitled, detached, and behaved above natural law. This complete erosion of institutional trust shows entropy dismantling governing authority when integrity ceases to maintain order. Bitcoin seed phrase Bitcoin offers a fascinating counterpoint to the way we normally think about entropy in biology. We preserve life by creating internal order. In cryptography, we preserve security by creating predictability through randomness. When generating a Bitcoin private key or seed phrase, entropy is not something to eliminate. It is precisely what must be maximized. The security of the system depends upon randomness that cannot be predicted, reproduced, or manipulated. High quality entropy ensures that no meaningful pattern exists for an attacker to exploit. Those 12 to 24 words represent an astronomically large space of possibilities. Their security depends upon the absence of recognizable structure. If that randomness is compromised, even slightly, entropy decreases, and as entropy decreases, predictability increases. As it increases, security begins to erode. What appears to be a technical problem is also a philosophical one. Every system carries assumptions. We often trust that those assumptions are sound until an unexpected event reveals where coherence was only apparent. This is the time that we're living in, because the ruler of the North Node is Uranus in Aquarius, and Uranus, right now, is in Gemini creating waves of shock. Security is ongoing. It's a wavelength that needs to be taken care of. Every advance in our capacity to build is matched by an advance in our capacity to discover hidden patterns. Artificial intelligence accelerates that search. It recognizes regularities that human beings often overlook. It compresses information. It detects structure inside what we assume was sufficiently random. This latest attack involving Coldcard seed phrases in the Bitcoin sphere, which is, according to many and to me, one of the major snafus that ever happened in Bitcoin history, revealed that the wallet firmware had failed to provide the entropy upon which the security of the seed phrases depended. The seeds appeared random, but they had been generated through a constrained and reproducible process. Industry experts believe AI-assisted code review was likely used to discover this latent vulnerability. AI did not have to break Bitcoin’s cryptography. It only had to find the place where the assumed randomness had already failed. This is showing us the vulnerability and making us think: how is artificial intelligence actually going to expose the weaknesses already hidden inside the whole system? The challenge, therefore, is to continually re-examine the assumptions upon which security rests, rather than relying upon insurance after the system has already failed. Entropy, once again, becomes central as a deprivation of practical ability where it is essential. Human Action What deserves the finite energy of a human life? Or where is time scarce enough to give value to spirit? We know that attention is limited, time is limited. Human action, therefore, becomes an act of selecting where order will be cultivated. So the Austrian school understands this intuitively. Wealth does not emerge from wishing for abundance, it emerges from transforming self scarce resources into greater value through knowledge, coordination, production. And civilization itself can be understood as the cumulative result of billions of individual acts that temporarily resist entropy. Within a living organism, we seek coherence within cryptography we seek unpredictability. Both rely upon understanding entropy yet each applies it differently according to its purpose. So the lesson extends beyond technology. Wisdom may consist of recognizing where randomness creates resilience and where discipline creates coherence. Therefore a healthy civilization may require both. So the question is whether entropy exists. It is where we choose to invest the energy required to create order. The axiom that Mises gave to us is Human Action. Every action reflects a preference. We choose because we perceive one’s state of affairs as more valuable than another, and direct our final time, attention, and energy towards that possibility. Every choice carries an opportunity cost. To build one thing is to postpone another. To cultivate one relationship is to live less time for a different pursuit. To develop a skill is to forgo countless alternative uses of that same energy. Life unfolds through selection. So, order, therefore, does not emerge from intention alone. It arises through countless decisions that are consistent over time. Habits become character, and character shifts culture, and culture influences civilization. Long before thermodynamics or economics, ancient traditions recognized that order is not accidental. In the Book of Deuteronomy, human life is presented as a continuous act of choosing. The name Deuteronomy comes from Greek and is often translated as “second law.” The Hebrew title, Devarim, means “words,” from the opening sentence: “These are the words Moses spoke.” Moses is finalizing his discourse and placing a choice before the people: “I call heaven and earth to witness against you today that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore, choose life that you and your offspring may live, living to obey the Lord your God, holding fast to him.” There are always two paths. The actions you take matter. The future emerges from repeated choices. This aligns with the notion of Human Action because human beings are agents who choose, and those choices have consequences. Entropy reaches its extreme when a human being believes there is no longer agency. A society that no longer believes in Human Action gradually transfers its agency to systems, devices, and institutions. Choose life. Entropy is always present, quietly inviting dispersion. Human action is the capacity to answer that invitation with discernment. Video added after posting: important bitcoin security issues related to what I wrote above. 👇 This is a public episode. Standing in Your Own Place

Note: I know I said I was taking a break from writing about astrology, but this is too significant to pass over. So here it goes. The shift is full on. On February 20, when Saturn and Neptune met at 0° Aries, I wrote an article exploring why that conjunction marked the beginning of a new cycle. Looking back six months later, I find those observations even more relevant as the nodal axis shifts into Aquarius and Leo. “Coherence is the internal harmony of all parts moving together without fragmentation, and alignment is the intentional positioning of that integrated system along a chosen axis of meaning, timing, and direction.” From January 2025 until July 26, 2026, we had the North Node oriented toward surrendering, toward accepting. What were we accepting? The things we were discerning, editing out of our lives because they were no longer making sense. That was the main concept of the North Node in Pisces and the South Node in Virgo. The nodal signs describe the collective evolutionary direction. They reveal the telos of the evolutionary process: what has become familiar and what now seeks development. The planetary rulers show how the process is being carried. They reveal the mechanics through which that evolutionary intent unfolds. Now the nodes have turned. Until the spring of 2028, the North Node is in Aquarius and the South Node is in Leo. The last time this happened was from the end of 2007 through the spring of 2009. We have to remember what was happening in our lives then and find the correlations between that time and now. Life is a spiral. We never repeat ourselves unless we fail to see the connections. The Aquarius North Node can make you more aloof, more objective. It can make you disembodied, dissociated, disconnected. At the same time, it can make you capable of seeing across timelines because it sees the whole. The Leo South Node can make you more drama-driven, more self-centered, more tyrannical. It is about integrating both. The Moon symbolizes the ego, our sense of identity. It describes the emotional lens through which we react to and eventually learn to respond to reality. Leo, ruled by the Sun, describes how identity validates itself through its own creativity simply by being the Sun. The Sun does not look at itself in the mirror. The Sun radiates life. It is about how you integrate your solar self, how you have been able to validate yourself through what you naturally create and what you genuinely do well. When you come back into the collective, how can you be seen as yourself and not as a poor replica of someone else? How does your uniqueness contribute to the good of humankind? It is about finding that synthesis. Saturn and Neptune in Aries work together with this nodal shift. Neptune dissolves the familiar identity. Saturn builds the structure through which a more authentic one can emerge. Carl Jung called this individuation. The individual participates in the collective by enacting himself. Aquarius becomes the field of participation. Leo becomes the source of creative radiance. Their synthesis allows individuality to become a conscious contribution to the whole. Perhaps this is why we are witnessing so many ideological realignments. People gather around ideas, identities, and movements while the deeper work asks each person to stand in their own place. The collective changes when individuals stand in their own place and contribute from their own center. Last but not least, this week’s Full Moon at 6° Aquarius, where my Ascendant is 😊, becomes the first one under the new Aquarius–Leo nodal axis. It is the first clear expression of the cycle that has just begun, one that will reshape us both collectively and personally. It also falls on the very degree where the solar eclipse of January 26, 2028, will conjoin Pluto, making it one of the defining signatures of this entire cycle. The last time eclipses in Aquarius and Leo aligned with Pluto was in 1785. We are witnessing the beginning of a much larger chapter. Pay attention to what becomes visible now. These are the opening notes of a story that will continue unfolding over the next eighteen months. The rulers of the Full Moon are also the rulers of the nodal axis. They carry the same evolutionary narrative, allowing us to glimpse where this cycle is leading. This full Moon conjoins Pluto in Aquarius, illuminating the emotional patterns, psychic entanglements, and collective allegiances that have quietly shaped our perception of reality. Across the sky, the Sun conjoins Jupiter in Leo, expanding the invitation to stand in your own creative authority. Authority arises from knowing who you are and expressing it through your own nature. Venus in Virgo forms its first-quarter square to Mars in Gemini, marking the first point of friction between discernment and action. New ideas ask to be tested. Intention and discernment ask for commitment. This Full Moon reveals where your identity has been inherited and where your own nature is ready to emerge. Standing in your own place becomes the bridge between who you are and what you bring to the collective. Saturn has also stationed retrograde in Aries, forming a square to Mercury, which has just turned direct in Cancer. Think back to your own Mercury retrograde. What emotional insight settled into place? Which conversation or realization reshaped your understanding? Saturn now asks you to give that realization structure. The first-quarter square marks the moment when understanding becomes embodied through action. Your life begins to reflect what you now know. Uranus forms a harmonious trine to Pluto, the Moon, and Juno, supporting transformation. Its trine to the Sun and Jupiter encourages authenticity. Neptune sextiles the same configuration, bringing trust into the process. This is an extraordinary opportunity to step into a new timeline, aligning with the frequency that already belongs to you. The astrology is an atmosphere. The real weather is inside. Related Essay This essay continues a conversation that began on February 20, 2026, when Saturn and Neptune met at 0° Aries. That article explores coherence, alignment, the nervous system, self-authorship, and why this conjunction marked the beginning of a new 36-year cycle. The Aquarius–Leo nodal axis builds on that foundation by asking how your individuality becomes a conscious contribution to the collective. Four Questions and a Nap

Hey, I sat down and I wrote two articles a few days apart. Just when I was going to start recording, I’m like, “Mmm, this doesn’t feel right because there’s something that has shifted in me. Every time I want to say something, do something, or create an awareness of the relationship I’m having with the thing, situation, or person, I’m asking the same question: -Is this solar? -Is this coming from my heart? -Does this need to be spoken? -Does this need to be published? It’s not that I became a doubtful person, but right now I’m confronting a reality that my identity has shifted or is in the process of transformation. Therefore, I’m also taking time to realize how it is that I want to encounter the other. So instead of publishing what I wrote about economics, or God only knows what I was talking about… (even the Nodal Shift this weekend, any other major thing, or anything astrologically that’s going on, or what’s going on with Bitcoin), do I want to write about that? Even if I have a lot to say, do I actually want to engage with it this way? That was a question. And the answer, after a long nap because I’m very tired these days, was no. So here I am writing about not publishing what I’ve written. My first piece was about economics, and it was very different. It was stating positions and asking the reader to agree or disagree with them, or build an argument to be defended or to be let go. This time around, it’s not an argument about anything. It’s just barely an observation of a shift, and so by observing it, is what’s becoming the content. It is enacting the very question that it poses rather than answering it from the outside. The four questions that I posted, I feel, really come from a place where I am being loyal to myself. These are not rhetorical questions. Each one is doing something different, and together they’re tracing a real sequence of discernment rather than the four ways of saying the same thing in the way triadic anaphora often uses. As it ends, it holds without resolving. I do not arrive at a lesson about the voice or timing. I arrive at the fact that I took a nap because of fatigue, and then the piece is naming its own existence as a result of what is not. I must say that I also arrived at the declaration too fast about identity shifting, because it is something that is coming from something that I’ve been experiencing, but I have not been able to convey. Again, as I listened to it and I reread it, I say, “Hey, Monika, hold on. I don’t want to sound absolute. I don’t want to have the last word.” This is part of this new relationship to how I relate to my needs, how I listen to them, and how I become aware if what I’m doing is a performance or is something that is genuine and coming from my heart. My body speaks to me these days, and it basically supports the direction. The second article was about the Nodal Change, and I will or will not eventually make a comment about it. For now, I prefer to live those changes, to embody them, to enact another perspective, to be able to turn my neck in a way that I haven’t been able to since I came from Vancouver. As I’ve been releasing and receiving, releasing, receiving. Anyway, that’s my poem of the day, and I will leave with words of gratitude. Afterward-> When the outside turns very noisy, turn to ancestral wisdom. The Greeks endowed the West with a marvelous mythology and culture. They set up the principles of how man acts. Below, two excerpts from my new book, The Art of Synthesis and the Architecture of My Value. L3, The Radiography of Culture. 2026. I am designing it now and will drop it after eclipse season. ust dropped: This is a public episode. An Ongoing Wavelength of Change

BE BOLD 7/13/2025 I just woke up, but I have this sense that things are moving underneath and between. Whatever calm I thought that was, there is some turbulence underneath. One that shows me that indeed things are different, and more undulation calls me to surge again. This is between the real waves of the ocean hitting, the long ocean swell that leads me to adapt, to calibrate. Some of the tides are just moving along, so I am floating, surfing, yet I have to maneuver, step by step the wave of technological change, responding with agility capturing the momentum of future unfolding events. Still within that movement that has a rhythm, at times there are moments where the wavelength hits something, and I need to settle suddenly and make a maneuver. I stay navigating: I do not sink, I do not jump off the vessel, I do not stay still. Those are the navigation skills that I have to bring forth every other day, so the sensation does not cease the current, it adapts, I submit to it. I could see how now it is not entangled. It is free, so it is just opening my hands and letting the last piece of thread go slip through my fingers, loosening now belonging to the wind. Trust. Trust nature. Trust my life. Trust the circulation of energy. Trust the movement. Trust the space that opened. A new relationship within me, I can feel its dimensions without sensing someone's breath near me. The space expands through my own presence, and I begin to recognize the distance between who I was when I held the thread and who I am as it dissolves and washes away. The thread becomes part of the current, my hand remains open. The wind carries its movement, opening space around as it is visible, oh what gesture! I had the devotion, the guilt, and the dedication, I had the care, yes I over extended at times, I did not know how to measure care, without a container, it diluted and was wasted. the sequencing started to become a motion in itself, I started to maneuver the waves, and that is when I started seeing things all connected, different kind of threads. Form shaped the container through small shifts, a displacement here, a dynamic turn there, flow migrating yet always in a wandering path. Each adjustment created another point of contingency between the wave and the vessel, between the space and the fill-in moving through it. Between the silence and joy. In 2008 I made a series of encasements Time-Piece: Be here now, that were aligned and arranged on the wall and had short phrases containing the word time appear and disappear from behind a two way mirror. These short sentences were synched within a span of a minute, then followed by 60 short vertical lines that would count every second. The words faded in and faded out in a digital calligraphy, of yellow green color, one phrase moving through seven different boxes across the wall. One of them was simple: time is motion of the mind. There was a sound, that of a sonar, that would call you closer revealing slowly both words and your face in it. By the time you noticed the words shifting, they had already faded. You were pulled in by sound of the sonar, then revealing the truth of your presence. Because the animations were all encased behind a mirror, as a viewer you were forced to see yourself through the appearance of these words. Whatever reflected back was your own image, seen by itself, the one mirror already given, your own presence enough to validate itself. If you stayed long enough in front of the glass, the piece revealed itself as the moment you caught yourself looking. The mirrors held the image of an individual observing time. The wave holds the movement of a person inhabiting it. I can now see my solar self for the first time through movement. The image emerges through the way I steer, through the way I respond to the pressure of the water, through the way I remain present inside the changing distance between one crest and the next. Time-piece: Be here now, seemed easy then. I now know it has encapsulated the last 18 years of my life. A full nodal return, where in this new cycle I stop hiding behind “otherness” and welcome a full radiant transformation, I now reckon this time elapsed bringing forth my unconscious into consciousness. Art has always been the way I process my emotional body. I am not attached to the object itself, to the materiality of light boxes or mirrors or storage units where things get lost. I am in flow with the process, not to what happens the moment the piece delivers the information I needed. Dreams work the same way. They come to me clearly, carrying messages from the underworld, and when I can see the image plainly, I let it go and move to the next moment. There is also a wave that stretches, showing itself as slow maneuvers that time with undercurrents, meeting other airy currents that may rock the boat and actually give space for a new sensation never felt before. Calibrating, tweaking, allowing the current of the waters to come through and move the wave so I do not lose the equilibrium. I instead embrace the place. A wavelength measuring the distance between one crest and another. Rhythm, repetition. I meet myself again across that distance with another perception, another maneuver, another relationship to the space I occupy. Time is motion of the mind because the mind recognizes the distance. It remembers the previous crest, senses the one beneath the vessel, and perceives the movement bearing everything forward. This summer is showing up as a solar potential. We have let go of old masks and aligned with more attractive perspectives. Unknown, yes. The courage of embracing them gives the pulse to the wave. This is how it feels to be solar unafraid, trusting an invitation. one that moves through the wavelength. I feel it through the distance that has opened between one version of myself and the next, with both belonging to the same ongoing undulation. I am not selling you a book. I am inviting you into an unusual journey. 7/15/2026 I just finished writing my book, 16 months of dictation, days of insights, walks along the Venetian islands, silence, uncomfortable feelings that learned to calibrate and rewire my nervous system, how do I feel? F*****G GREAT! Pre-launch a couple of weeks from now. In the skies Every astrologer is talking about a basket-shape event, so what? What is this information good for if you cannot apply the goodies to your own evolution with awareness? The age of the influencer telling you what to do next is way gone. Some are going to jail, (yup) some are desperate selling peptides, others are changing the game, write X so I can send you a link, while ChatGPT writes the copy of the next article, reel, etc. Fake it till you make it is not working anymore. What skills have you honed in the last year? Not sure yet for the tone or the necessity. 😅 There is an excitement about my internal life that is changing, but there is a lot of drag about the outside world, because I do not relate to it anymore. I am actually looking to start resonating with people at a different level. Jupiter is about to cross my descendant on the next full moon (July 29th). The planet Jupiter takes almost twelve years to go around the sun. Since 2019, it has traveled from my twelfth house, ruled by Capricorn, through my first house all the way to the sixth, the lower part of the chart that represents the intimate self in all modalities: individuality, values, needs, communication, emotional resonance, creative outlet, and last but not least, habits. It has been diving into my unconscious, restructuring it, in search of meaning and truth. This time around, since 2014, the journey has been dense, scary and then delightful as I played my favorite game: the professional hermit. I am ready to confront my solar self versus the sticky collective that in the past swallowed my self with no boundaries and gave me the impression I needed to hold everyone's needs, NOT! I am ready to play authentically and let go all ways of relating that no longer offer anything beneficial. I am stoked and ready to meet you, and you, and you!! This is a public episode. Contingency

“In every age someone, looking at Fedora as it was, imagined a way of making it the ideal city, but while he constructed his miniature model, Fedora was already no longer the same as before, and what had been until yesterday a possible future became only a toy in a glass globe.” -Italo Calvino, Invisible Cities I woke up this morning with the word contingency in my mind. So after breathing a little bit, I started to decipher its etymology and the meaning of how this beautiful word, which root is tangere, to touch, is joined with com, together. Therefore, it is a thing whose next form depends on contact that is yet to be made. The last weekend, a new cycle between Mars was completed and initiated in early Gemini with the great giant Uranus in my fourth house, it is this exact mechanism: the meeting is generating a feeling that I cannot know in advance. It is both curious and surprising. It is contingent on how I show up somewhere, on how I meet the other, the mirror, on how the reflective meeting touches me back. There is excitement here, and there is dread also, both at once, because nothing is fixed yet, and everything depends on the next contact I make. The outcome lives in a curiosity I cannot determine ahead of time, and that same unknown carries its own safety because what wants to be fulfilled in these days is a slight movement of perspective. One I can already feel forming, one that is going to build an entirely new way of relating, and it is going to expand in the years to come (more on Jupiter in Leo oppose Pluto next week). There is a new moon in Cancer that is closing a cycle that started at the end of June last year, when the same new moon conjoined Jupiter as it had just entered the sign, and conjoined my north node at 3 degrees in Cancer, giving me an expansion, a direction, an orientation of how to express creatively, where to bring forth the beautiful energy of safety and home in all my creative and solar endeavors. It is a very beautiful closing next week, because I have really cared very much about my environment, to the small habits I used to overlook, how I slowly gave myself the space I never had. I am grateful. Last year the new moon was also in a quincunx with Pluto, a hundred and fifty degrees, that allowed the transformation through slow calibration. This year the new moon is conjoined with Mercury retrograde, approaching Jupiter, and Mars will eventually pass through as well. Reaffirming that since June last year, these slow movements, attention to detail, fascia and breath work, and everything I am doing with my body have opened the relational space. New perspectives incoming, my life has really changed since 2014, when Jupiter was just in the same place. Within the last year I have really been focused on every little habit, how I relate to my body, how I metabolize, how the emotional body has stopped this constant wave of thought, meaning that my body was always wired to think too much, to synthesize, to explain, to share, to be reactive, as opposed to now that has all that space. I am excited about it because I can see the change. These challenges are what move me to another level in this video game that is life. The mantra in the last months has been: -Is this radiant, is this solar, Monika? -Is this coming from your heart? There is no more mirror to make me feel alive! I am very excited to launch AI Study Group. It came to me unexpectedly, and now that I think about it, I have been building toward this for a while. THE AUTONOMOUS LOCAL ENGINE

BUILD ONCE, OWN FOREVER I am very excited to launch this today. It came to me unexpectedly, and now that I think about it, I have been building toward this for a while. THE SCOPE This is a highly selective study group (or a self-study, or 1:1 option) of two to five people who want to build a local database and dashboard that runs entirely on their own hardware. This architecture operates on a low-time preference. Modern tokenized platforms charge you for every single query, action, and refresh - trapping you in a perpetual rental loop. True technology is inherently deflationary. By dedicating your own time, attention, and proof of work right now, you eliminate the meter entirely. You build the infrastructure once. It runs on your computer, on your terms, at zero token cost, indefinitely. This program is specifically engineered for individuals pursuing technological sovereignty. If you prefer running AI software through paid cloud platforms, this is not your path. This environment is built exclusively for those who demand a local, agentic system running directly from their own hardware at zero token cost - independent of the internet, where what belongs to you stays yours. The pricing of these paths is deliberately structured to serve as a bridge. The goal is propagation - the more humans who operate independent, decentralized local systems, the stronger the network of human autonomy becomes. ABOUT ME I am an artist and a polymath who reads patterns across systems. The same methodology used to read an evolutionary astrology chart, a Human Design body graph, a financial chart, or to design commissioned environments for the public realm is the exact logic stream required to decode a local database. It is a process of disciplined doubt and understanding used to conceptualize and solve structural problems. My intention is to inspire humans to operate authentically. This page initiates that architecture through a brief series of questions to determine if this ecosystem aligns with your needs. Answer what you know and skip what you do not; identifying gaps in your knowledge is equally valuable data. My history with artifacts spans analog work I have practiced for decades alongside everything I have built digitally. In the early 90s I designed my own website out of necessity, working directly in code, in the pure semantics of language itself, with no visual tools between me and the structure, learning through trial and error. That same period moved me into digital media, where I went from photography into animated images and learned to build the machines that produced them. These past few years I have been doing the same thing again, building this system by trial and error, applying that same discipline to a new structure. I have always applied the technology available to what the moment actually needed, and that is exactly what I see now, building according to our own needs rather than the needs a platform decides for us. The bicentennial catholic nun

In 1976, I came to the United States of America to spend the summer. The funny part is that my mom, after my father died, decided to hire a Catholic nun from the United States. When I said “hire,” she actually sought an agency to see if there was a nun that could come and live in our house so we could practice English while my mother was working and would help us with our homework. Alas, that didn’t last very long because we drove the nun, Sister Mary Hubert, crazy. She was probably around 55 years old, a good woman, a good nun, but maybe her ways were too stiff for these four little devils that, after my father died, unconsciously unleashed the worst possible behavior that any children could have, ages 4 to 10. What happened in the following months upon her arrival was like a tug of war between kids who did not want to be disciplined and a mother who was constantly absent because she was in the office taking care of her affairs, so she could not be the authority she would like to be. She gave the reins to the nun, and the nun lost her grip within six weeks. We got her drunk, saw her naked while she took a shower when we hid in the bathroom closet. One after another incident led her asking for asylum in a nearby convent/Catholic school that was next door to our house. That worked perfectly, because then the nun was sleeping there. I think my mother was paying the school for her stay and her food, and she would come in the afternoon, so that made the arrangements a little bit better. By the end of the first year contract, she stayed in Colombia, but she went to work in another school. From time to time, I would see her at the school bus on my way to school, and sometimes we would meet in that corner. I was a little devil, so I don’t know, but anyway. Some of the things that happened with her coming to our house were that the first year that she was in Colombia, my brother was sent the first summer to her hometown, St. Louis, Missouri. He stayed there for two months in the house of some kids. My mother paid for that, and my brother was amazing. He just had the best of times making friends. My mom had given him some money for the trip, and he came back with almost all of it still in his pocket. He hadn’t spent a thing. It was my turn to be there in 1976. I had heard about a bicentennial commemoration of 200 years from the 1776 Declaration of Independence. I didn’t actually know what contract my mom had negotiated before she put me inside of that plane, or whether what followed was part of her arrangement or a direct reaction to my outrageous behavior. The nun actually came along with me on the flight, and we started by staying a few days with her sister, an older woman. But then her niece and grandchildren started coming over, and things got chaotic. I made friends with Theresa, and we ended up having wild fights with pillows and baby powder until, I think, new arrangements had to be made. They sent me to Theresa’s house, and from her house, I was handed off to the house of Mr. Baine, a father of the household who was running for the state Senate. I think he was from the Democratic Party, so it was interesting for me, my first long summer in the United States. I was there with this family campaigning for the elections, getting $2 bills, having barbecues, and waving United States flags. In a way, it was a very beautiful way to understand what it means to be in this country for the Fourth of July, which is today. Long story short, I stayed the whole summer. I had a blast. We ended up going to a house they had in the Ozarks. I learned how to water ski. But what stayed with me is this relationship that a lot of born Americans, unlike an immigrant like me, have with a flag, with the First Amendment, the 1791 Bill of Rights, and the Declaration of Independence. The First Amendment and freedom of speech, the Second Amendment and the right to bear arms, the Fourth Amendment and the right to be secure in your person, house, and effects, the Fifth Amendment and its protection of property from being taken without just compensation, the Ninth and Tenth Amendments and the rights and powers they reserve to the people and the states, these were seeds planted on that 1976 trip. Living those principles and codifying them are two entirely different paths. I then came about studying the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, and it fully connected me back to that first memory. That leads back to Aristotle and my love for the definition of politics, the definition of collective behavior, and his understanding of eudaimonia, the flourishing that the Declaration of Independence itself carries forward in the phrase life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. That thread runs forward to John Locke, who gave me the definition that you own your body first and the land you homestead second, property as an extension of the self. This led, years later, to Ludwig von Mises and Human Action, and thereafter to Rothbard, who made me aware of what the state can do the moment you comply and hand over what is yours. Hoppe, and then Ammous, my teacher, moved to teach me the importance of understanding that property rights are at the core of the principles of civilization, not a policy position but the axiom underneath it. In the case of violence, defending yourself in the homeland is something that one has to do, because if one does not have that agency, one is dead in every sense that matters. So here is to the grand experiment that sparked it all, the land of the free. Happy 250th anniversary. Coda When Mars and Uranus meet at the beginning degrees of Gemini, the field is receiving a signal that ruptures. We can see this across the historical echoes of 1776, 1861, to 1943, years that smell like cannons, firearms, and conflict. Similar patterns: a declaration, a split, a mobilization, a new nervous system. Gemini carries the word, the code, the route, the message, the document, the transmission. Mars is electrifying this action while Uranus breaks the circuit open. It changes the direction into one that nobody knows, unpredictable. They could end up as innovation, propaganda, computation, or purely myth. The target was perception itself. The 20th and 21st centuries have rearranged the human mind around systems of persuasion and rapid obedience, using the same forces that created codebreaking, pharmaceuticals, cybernetics, and artificial intelligence. They are also training the psyche to receive reality through mediated signals. Today, standing at the same degrees of the sky that stood over 1776, 1861, and 1943, with Mars and Uranus returning to the early degrees of Gemini, Pluto is moving through Aquarius, and Jupiter just entered Leo while opposing it, completing a triangle with this conjunction, we’re asked to pause and read the wiring architecture behind all this noise. While all this moves through the mind, we’re also asked to show up in a solar way, in full expression, even as we hold the discernment to see what is underneath. Who’s controlling the signal? Who’s writing the narrative? Look for the strings of the puppeteer, because you will realize that the one who benefits from this fragmented, inverted language is the one selling sovereignty back to us as a product. We’re being asked today, also, by Mars and Uranus squaring the nodal axis in Pisces-Virgo, an orientation to surrender with discernment. This is a public episode. The body’s silence as whispers can be slightly heard.

I What we inherit from our family is not only material. It is the nervous system, the fear, the patterns carried in the body across generations. Giving the body enough space to feel them, making a different movement, and finding the order of love is how we begin to receive. II When I am sleeping, I am not in my body. When I wake, I land softly. Looking around. Breathing. Feeling. Being. I know I have said very few things these days as these are emotional and body experiences. Thus, the body’s silence as whispers can be slightly heard. There is space to listen to them. And the inner authority quietly arrives. III What we inherit lives unconsciously in the body. When we land back into ourselves, we begin to feel what the container is actually holding. And awareness creeps in. Mold accumulates in the conditions that the container can no longer process on its own. The moisture gathers somewhere without enough circulation, without enough light, and the mold simply grows where the environment allows it. There are two ways to respond. One is agitation, spreading the very thing one wanted to resolve. The other is a reading, honest and unsparing, of what the conditions actually are. Sometimes that leads to leaving the space entirely. Sometimes it leads to staying present at the edge, close enough to witness, far enough not to participate in the spread. Mercury stations retrograde in Cancer in two days. The mind turns inward. The communication slows and softens. The sky is built for exactly this kind of clarity: the emotional intelligence that knows what a container can hold, and chooses accordingly. On the same day, the Full Moon rises at 8 degrees of Capricorn. Cancer asks what we are carrying in the emotional body. Capricorn illuminates what we have actually built with what we carry. Jupiter reaches the final degree of Cancer, the last breath of its exaltation, a full year of emotional expansion delivering its concentrated weight before crossing into Leo to shine in its own light. Something is completing. The full light of this moon falls on whatever the container has been holding. What has circulation and what has not. What is ready to be seen clearly and left behind. IV Receiving is structural, the container is ready and what arrives has somewhere to land. Accepting is the posture of someone still waiting to be told they are allowed to have. Without a container, nothing is retained: material resources, emotional nourishment, physical vitality, mental clarity; abundance in any form passes through or dissipates. Maturity is standing in the correct order of love and letting what belongs to you arrive. This is a public episode.
