    C1 | Clash of the Wardens | S1E18

Episode Summary Hallowmere has been warned, and this time the Mare of Echoing Roots is very clear: something is coming. The party spends the daylight turning a swamp village into a fortress. Seraphina gives the people something to hold onto. Zeph and Severian fortify the Rootbound Hall. Kua arms civilians with whatever Hallowmere can spare. And Basagar, caught between the people he came from and the people he’s choosing to protect, reaches into the Mare for help, and finds something ancient reaching back. Then the forest goes silent. Briar Warriors pour into Hallowmere from every direction, and the village answers with steel, magic, tooth, claw, and a surprising amount of weaponized swamp water. The first wave breaks. Then Oryx steps out of the trees. And he came for Basagar. C1 | Visions of the Lumora | S1E17

Episode Summary Hallowmere has shelter. It also has questions. Beneath the Chapel of the Ninefold Root, the party meets Thistle, the last of the Rosari, and finds that the Verdance has been trying to speak through rot, memory, and blackwater. The Lumora offer answers, but not gently. Zeph sees old ties tightening in Virelia. Kua finds proof that hope may still be moving inside the fallen city. Seraphina remembers fire as something other than fear. Severian sees what his people were, what they may have become, and what Oryx has taken from them. Basagar is shown a beginning he was never meant to remember. Every vision gives them something useful. Every truth takes something back. And somewhere beyond Hallowmere, the Heartwood is still bleeding. C1 | Echoing Roots | S1E16

Episode Summary The Verdance does not sleep quietly. After a night beneath the trees, Basagar wakes from a vision of rot, blood, and a voice that should not have found him. Oryx is searching. The Heartwood may be dying. And the road to Haemawud suddenly feels much shorter than anyone would like. But the forest has its own delays. The party pushes deeper into the Verdance with royal refugees, exhausted nobles, and the Ghore Bound in tow. There are old bridges, strange tracks, bad decisions, and one very important lesson about eating unidentified forest delicacies. Then a new path appears. Hallowmere waits in the blackwater. And whatever happened to Haemawud did not stay there. C1 | Into the Verdance Forest, Part2 | S1E15

Episode Summary The campfires are lit, but no one is really resting. Deep in the Verdance Forest, the party finally has enough quiet to ask the questions that have been waiting too long. Zeph learns more about the mother he lost, the father he never knew, and the royal bloodline that left him behind. Seraphina finds herself tied to a name from the Fey Realm. Basagar reaches into the First Blood and hears something reaching back. And then the old map opens. What was carried out of Virelia may be more than a way forward. It may be a warning, a confession, and the first real clue to what the First Blood cost. The Heartwood is waiting. So is Oryx. Content Warnings • Family trauma and abandonment • Discussion of parental neglect and alcoholism • Political violence and aftermath of a coup • References to public execution • Bloodline persecution • Magical corruption / spreading sickness • Panic and trauma response Music / SFX Licensing Music and sound effects licensed via Soundstripe (Pro), Fantasy+ (Monument Studios). C1 | Into the Verdance Forest, Part1 | S1E14

Episode Summary Virelia burns behind them. The Verdance waits ahead. After escaping Ghorelitch Mesa, the party leads a frightened group of royal survivors into the cold, wet dark beyond the city walls. For most of them, the forest is a mystery. For Basagar and Severian, it is something stranger than safety. It is home. But home does not mean harmless. The Abrogate is hunting royal blood, the refugees are exhausted, and every fire they light risks being seen by someone, or something, in the trees. The party needs food, shelter, and one quiet night. The Verdance offers two out of three. Content Warnings • Civil unrest and aftermath of a political coup • References to public execution / body display • Refugees fleeing violence • Exhaustion and survival stress • Animal hunting and field dressing references • Animal attack / bite • Blood and injury • Mild body horror / corrupted wildlife • Family tension and hidden parentage Music / SFX Licensing Music and sound effects licensed via Soundstripe (Pro), Fantasy+ (Monument Studios), and Syrinscape. C1 | Smothered & Covered | S1E13

Episode Summary The Abrogate does not whisper anymore. It speaks to all of Virelia. From the Sovereign’s Perch, a voice calls the crown a cage, the bloodline a lie, and the city itself a thing waiting to be taken back. Some people hear a threat. Some hear permission. And as Virelia begins to turn on itself, the party realizes the streets are no longer safe for anyone carrying royal blood. There is no clean rescue. No heroic charge. No time to save everyone. So Basagar reaches through the strange network of the First Blood and finds King Alric before the Abrogate can. What follows is not a plan. It is a warning, a goodbye, and one last desperate attempt to keep the royal line alive. Now the party has one job: Run. Down through the old tunnels beneath Ghorelitch Mesa, past ancient doors and warnings carved into stone, they flee toward the Verdance Forest with the city collapsing behind them. But Virelia is not the only thing waking up. And some doors were sealed for a reason. Special Guest: Bec Wild - as The Pillar of Land Content Warnings • Political coup / violent uprising • Mob violence and public panic • Threats of execution • Threats against family members • Bloodline persecution • Family trauma and parental regret • Alcohol intoxication references • Claustrophobic underground scenes • Implied danger to civilians Music / SFX Licensing Music and sound effects licensed via Soundstripe (Pro), Fantasy+ (Monument Studios), and Syrinscape. C1 | No Rest for the Weary | S1E12

Episode Summary For once, nobody is actively trying to kill them. That lasts about as long as expected. Battered after the attack on the Ghosts of Ghorelitch headquarters, the party finally gets a moment to breathe, argue, patch wounds, and decide what kind of people they are going to be before someone else decides for them. Seraphina faces the name she escaped, Zeph and Ciaran circle the crown-shaped problem between them, and the group starts to realize that every path forward leads somewhere dangerous. Then Basagar reaches for answers and finds something stranger than pain. A flash of color. A distant connection. A name that should not be easy to forget. But rest is a luxury Virelia cannot afford. When Meesta reveals that the safe house is open, Wilhelm is drunk, and both the king and princess are missing, the party is forced back into the streets before their wounds have even closed. The flags are down. Smoke rises over the castle. The city is listening. And someone else has taken the stage. Content Warnings • Violence and combat aftermath • Blood, injury, and wound care • Memory loss and identity distress • Captivity, coercion, and manipulation • Alcohol intoxication • Missing persons • Body horror and corruption references Music / SFX Licensing Music and sound effects licensed via Soundstripe (Pro), Fantasy+ (Monument Studios), and Syrinscape. Talkin bout Daggerlight | E1

Episode Summary Before the blood, bombs, bad decisions, and deeply suspicious mushroom lore, there were six players trying to figure out who the hell they were going to be. Welcome to the first episode of Talkin bout Daggerlight, our above-table sidecar where we step away from the main campaign and talk about the characters, choices, mechanics, and chaos behind Tales by Daggerlight. In this episode, the cast digs into how Seraphina, Pi N’kuwa, Zeph, Basagar, Severian, and Ciaran came to life. We talk Daggerheart character creation, weird inspirations, comfort classes, anti-edgelord rogues, tragic fungi, character secrets we definitely are not allowed to explain yet, and why this system makes it dangerously easy to turn a single flavor choice into a whole emotional problem. It is part character breakdown, part table therapy, part GM confession booth, and part proof that this entire campaign started because a bunch of friends at Luck Factory Games said, “Wait… should we actually make this a podcast?” So pull up a chair at the Blade’s Edge. We’re not rolling initiative today. We’re just talking 'bout Daggerlight. Content Warnings • Mild profanity • Light sexual innuendo / adult humor • Brief discussion of character death • Brief discussion of memory loss, corruption, and traumatic backstory elements • Out-of-character spoilers are avoided, but early campaign events and character concepts are discussed Music / SFX Licensing Music and sound effects licensed via Soundstripe (Pro) and Fantasy+ (Monument Studios). C1 | Bears, Bombs, Battle with the Abrogate | S1E11

Episode Summary A simple interrogation goes sideways fast. Inside the Ghosts of Ghorelitch headquarters, the crew barely has time to process one explosion before the next threat comes crashing through the smoke. Bombs, blades, magic, and one very large problem turn a locked-room interrogation into a brutal fight for survival. The Abrogate is no longer just a rumor. They are here, they are organized, and they know exactly who they came for. As Seraphina’s past catches up with her in the worst possible way, the party is pushed to its breaking point. Bodies hit the floor, old names carry new danger, and one question hangs over the city: how many people in Virelia are already marked for death? And who decides which name comes next? Content Warnings • Violence and combat • Blood and injury • Explosions and magical blasts • Interrogation and coercive questioning • Body horror and severe scarring • Threats of death • Panic and trauma responses • Animalistic violence / biting Music / SFX Licensing Music and sound effects licensed via Soundstripe (Pro) and Fantasy+ (Monument Studios). C1 | In the Room Where it Happened | S1E10

Episode Summary The safest room in Virelia might be the most dangerous one. Hidden in Ashward with the royal family, the crew finally has a moment to breathe, ask questions, and piece together what the night has revealed. The king is awake, old secrets are surfacing, and every answer seems to point toward something buried deeper than politics. But when a captured enemy offers the first real thread to pull, the room turns tense fast. Names are spoken. Loyalties are tested. Bloodlines, old wounds, and dangerous magic all collide as the party learns that the people hunting them may be closer, older, and far more prepared than anyone wanted to believe. And in Virelia, even a locked room is never truly safe. Content Warnings • Violence and combat • Interrogation • Torture / coercive questioning • Blood and injury • Magical explosion • Body horror / painful transformation imagery • Psychological distress / memory visions • Family conflict and emotional distress • Profanity Music / SFX Licensing Music and sound effects licensed via Soundstripe (Pro) and Fantasy+ (Monument Studios). Every step pulls them deeper into a legacy of blood, betrayal, and power that none of them fully understand. But getting out alive is only the beginning. As the royal family fractures under the weight of old truths, the party must decide what comes next: run, fight, hide, or face the rot spreading through Virelia before it consumes everything left standing. And somewhere in the quiet after the chaos, old memories begin to wake.
