"The Bus Stop Killer" Levi Bellfield Pt. 1: Background

S04E10 - James Patterson Smith (The Murder of Kelly-Anne Bates)
In the tenth and final episode of British Murders Season 4, I tell the story of James Patterson Smith and Kelly-Anne Bates.⁣⁣⁣ On April 16, 1996, middle-aged James Smith drowned his 17-year-old girlfriend, Kelly-Anne, in the bath.⁣ Kelly-Anne had been brutally tortured by James for around 4 weeks prior to being murdered.⁣ Detective Sergeant Joseph Monaghan said he has never seen a case as horrific as this in his 15 years on the police force.⁣ James Smith was handed a life sentence on November 19, 1997, with a minimum term to serve of 20 years.⁣ This is one of the most brutal cases I’ve ever researched, so prepare yourself before listening. S04E09 - Peter Reeve (The Murder of PC Ian Dibell)

S04E08 - Euan Peters (The Murder of Shafiul Islam)

S04E07 - Lee James (The Murder of Bijan Ebrahimi)

S04E06 - Colin Cheetham (The Murder of Stuart Ludlam)
In the sixth episode of British Murders Season 4, I tell the story of Colin Cheetham and Stuart Ludlam.⁣⁣ Gun enthusiast Cheetham had always dreamed of committing the perfect murder with a complete stranger as his victim. On September 17, 2009, his dream came true as he shot and killed 43-year-old taxi driver Stuart Ludlam at Cromford Railway Station. Cheetham had zero connection to Ludlam, and most frightening of all, there was zero motive behind the killing. Cheetham was sentenced to life imprisonment in June 2010 with a minimum term of 30 years. He died at HMP Wakefield on May 1, 2020, at the age of 71. S04E05 - Ben Blakeley (The Murder of Jayden Parkinson)

S04E04 - Stuart Hulse (The Murder of Shirley Brown)
In the fourth episode of British Murders Season 4, I tell the story of Stuart Hulse and Shirley Brown.⁣ In June 1996, Hulse attended a "sordid sex party" with ten other individuals.⁣ At the party, Hulse watched an extreme pornographic video and became frustrated when he was left on his own after everyone else coupled up and disappeared to different bedrooms.⁣ Hulse took a taxi home, snuck into Shirley Brown's house and sexually assaulted her. S04E03 - David Chenery-Wickens (The Murder of Diane Chenery-Wickens)

S04E02 - Anthony Antoniou (The Murder of Walter McCarthy)

S04E01 - Olga Freeman (The Murder of Dylan Freeman)

The Chicago Tylenol Murders | Killer British Murder Stories Vol. 3 Feat. Bobbie Holmes
In the third volume of Killer British Murder Stories, I discuss the case of The Chicago Tylenol Murders with Bobbie Holmes of Killer Stories. The Chicago Tylenol murders were a series of poisoning deaths resulting from drug tampering in the Chicago metropolitan area in 1982. The victims had all taken Tylenol-branded acetaminophen capsules that had been laced with potassium cyanide. A total of seven people died in the original poisonings, with several more deaths in subsequent copycat crimes, and no suspect was ever charged or convicted of the poisonings. S03E10 - Sabah Khan (The Murder of Saima Khan)
In the tenth and final episode of British Murders Season 3, I tell the story of sisters Sabah and Saima Khan.⁣⁣ On May 23, 2016, Sabah brutally murdered her older sister Saima at their shared family home in Luton, England. Sabah had been having an affair with Saima's husband Hafeez for a period of 4 years and felt that she could have him to herself if Saima was taken out of the picture. Saima was stabbed a total of 68 times by her younger sister in an attack that lasted a total of 8 minutes. Sabah Khan was sentenced to life imprisonment in October 2017 with a minimum term to serve of 22 years before she is eligible for parole. S03E09 - “Devilman” David Harker (The Murder of Julie Paterson)
In the ninth episode of British Murders Season 3, I tell the story of "Devilman" David Harker.⁣⁣ In April 1998, David Harker killed Julie Paterson in his flat by strangulation.⁣⁣ He then claimed to have cut off some flesh from Julie's thigh, fried it in garlic butter and ate it with pasta.⁣ David also claimed to be a necrophiliac and told psychiatrists he'd had sex with Julie's corpse before wiping it down with bleach and sawing off her head and limbs.⁣ To this day, Julie Paterson's head, arms and legs have never been found.⁣ David Harker pleaded guilty to manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility.
