    S02E01 | Akshar Ali and Yasmin Ahmed | The Murder of Sinead Wooding

    I tell the story of Akshar Ali, Yasmin Ahmed and Sinead Wooding in this first episode of season 2. Akshar and Yasmin murdered Sinead Wooding, Akshar's wife, in the West Yorkshire city of Leeds in May 2017. Sinead's body was then wrapped in a duvet before being dumped in a wooded area and set alight.     I welcome British historian and author Mark Russell to the show in this interview episode to tell me about the murder of Julia Wallace in January 1931. This complex case has so many twists, turns and unresolved questions that it is regarded internationally as a classic murder mystery.     S01E10 | Stephen Marshall | The Murder of Jeffrey Howe

    I tell the story of Stephen Marshall and Jeffrey Howe in this final episode of season 1. Stephen murdered 49-year-old kitchen salesman Jeffrey Howe on March 8, 2009. Jeffrey had allowed Stephen and his girlfriend, Sarah Bush, to stay at his flat in Southgate, London, without paying any rent. After killing Jeffrey, Stephen dismembered him before scattering his body parts across Hertfordshire and Leicestershire. Jeffrey's body parts, except his hands, were discovered between March 22 and April 11, 2009. Stephen Marshall was handed a life sentence on February 1, 2010, with a minimum term of 36 years.     S01E09 | Robert Maudsley | The Murders of John Farrell, David Francis, Salney Darwood and William Roberts

    I tell the story of English serial killer Robert Maudsley in this episode. Robert Maudsley murdered John Farrell, David Francis, Salney Darwood and William Roberts between March 1974 and July 1978. John Farrell was the only victim of Robert murdered outside prison walls. Robert is one of the few murderers who became serial killers in prison. Robert has spent over 40 years in solitary confinement, and his custom-built two-cell unit in the basement of Wakefield Prison is similar to that of Hannibal Lecter in Thomas Harris' novel 'The Silence of the Lambs'.     S01E08 | Amelia Dyer | The Reading Baby Farmer

    I tell the story of Amelia Dyer in this episode. Amelia Dyer is suspected of murdering more than 400 infants between 1880-1896; however, only six deaths were attributed to her. She received the death penalty after pleading guilty to the murder of Doris Marmon and was hanged in June 1896.     I tell the story of Trevor Hardy in this episode. Trevor Hardy murdered Janet Stewart, Wanda Skala and Sharon Mosoph between December 1974 and March 1976. The three teenagers were aged fifteen, seventeen and seventeen, respectively. He received three life sentences in May 1978 with a minimum term to serve of 30 years. Trevor spent 35 years in prison before his death in September 2012 and was one of the longest-serving prisoners in England and Wales. He received a life sentence with a recommendation for a whole life order in February 2008.     S01E05 | Beverley Allitt | The Murders of Liam Taylor, Timothy Hardwick, Becky Phillips and Claire Peck

    I tell the story of Beverley Allitt in this episode. Beverley Allitt was a state-enrolled nurse in the children's ward at Grantham and Kesteven Hospital in Lincolnshire when she murdered Liam Taylor, Timothy Hardwick, Becky Phillips and Claire Peck. The children, aged seven weeks, eleven years, nine weeks and fifteen months, respectively, were killed between February and April 1991. In total, Beverley attacked thirteen children over 59 days in 1991 and was handed thirteen concurrent terms of life imprisonment on May 28, 1993. A sufferer of Munchausen syndrome, Allitt is thought to have carried out the attacks to attract attention to herself. NOTE: Beverley is now eligible for release on parole as her minimum tariff of 30 years expired in November 2021. This information came to light after this episode was initially broadcast.     S01E04 | John Cooper | The Murders of Richard Thomas, Helen Thomas, Peter Dixon and Gwenda Dixon

    I tell the story of John Cooper in this episode. In December 1985, John Cooper killed siblings Richard and Helen Thomas in their farmhouse at Scoveston Park before burning the property. Four years later, John took part in a recording of the UK gameshow Bullseye as a contestant on May 28, 1989. John then murdered Peter and Gwenda Dixon a month later, in June 1989, as they walked along the Pembrokeshire Coast Path in southwest Wales.     I tell the story of Peter Tobin in this episode. In February 1991, Peter murdered 15-year-old Vicky Hamilton. Six months later, In August 1991, Peter murdered 18-year-old Dinah McNicol Peter then murdered 23-year-old Polish student Angelika Kluk 15 years later in September 2006. A diagnosed psychopath, Peter Tobin has been labelled as a man of no recognisable humanity and is suspected of committing multiple other murders. NOTE: Peter Tobin died of cancer on October 8, 2022.     S01E01 | Peter Bryan | The Murders of Nisha Sheth, Brian Cherry and Richard Loudwell

    In the debut episode of British Murders, I tell the story of Peter Bryan. Peter murdered 21-year-old Nisha Sheth with a hammer in 1993 and was subsequently sent to Rampton Secure Hospital. He was transferred to an open psychiatric ward in January 2004 before murdering Brian Cherry a month later on February 17. Remanded to Broadmoor, Peter murdered fellow patient Richard Loudwell on April 25, 2004.
