Keep winning! Two-time Emmy and Three-time NAACP Image Award-winning, television Executive Producer Rushion McDonald interviewed Dr. Cicone Prince. He shared how people can recognize their gifts, heal from past experiences, develop confidence, and use their talents to serve others. He also discussed the importance of mentorship, coaching, and building meaningful relationships that lead to success. Key Takeaways 1. Your Gifts Are Meant to Serve Others Dr. Prince emphasized that everyone has unique gifts and talents. Success begins when individuals recognize those gifts and understand their responsibility to use them to help others. 2. Make Motivation Personal His signature message, "Make Motivation Personal by Introducing You to Yourself," encourages people to discover their strengths, understand their value, and embrace their purpose. 3. Leadership Starts With Self-Leadership Before someone can effectively lead others, they must first learn to lead themselves through discipline, accountability, and personal growth. 4. Healing Childhood Wounds Matters Many adults continue to operate from unresolved childhood experiences and limiting beliefs. Addressing those issues can unlock greater confidence, emotional freedom, and personal success. 5. Everyone Has a Story Dr. Prince believes that every person has a powerful story that can inspire, encourage, and impact others. Sharing your journey can help someone else navigate their own challenges. 6. Invest in Yourself Coaches, mentors, and trusted advisors provide valuable perspective. Dr. Prince stressed that personal and professional growth often accelerates when people seek guidance from those who have already achieved success. 7. Relationships Create Opportunities Networking and genuine relationships are often the foundation of long-term success. Strong connections open doors and create opportunities that talent alone cannot. 8. Show Up Consistently Success requires commitment and consistency. Simply showing up repeatedly and doing the work can inspire others and create momentum toward achieving goals. 9. Your Example Matters Children, family members, colleagues, and friends are always watching. By pursuing growth and refusing to quit, people become examples for the next generation. 10. Know Your Value One of Dr. Prince's most powerful lessons was understanding personal worth. When individuals recognize the value they bring, they stop minimizing their gifts and start maximizing their impact. Memorable Quotes "To whom much is given, much is required." "My gift isn't just for me. It's also for the people." "Make motivation personal by introducing you to yourself." "Someone is hungry for what it is God has given you. Don't let them go starving." "You can't lead others until you learn how to lead yourself." "Sometimes just showing up is the best thing you can do." "We all need somebody that can help us see what we can't see." "You have to value your value and see what value your value brings." "Someone needs your encouragement. They need your inspiration. Somebody needs your example." "If you realize you have something that the world needs, you will show up." Final Thoughts Dr. Cicone Prince delivered a powerful message about self-awareness, purpose, and service. His philosophy centers on helping people identify their gifts, overcome the limitations created by fear and past experiences, and step confidently into leadership. The interview reinforced that true success is not measured solely by personal achievement, but by the positive impact we have on the lives of others. As Dr. Prince reminds us, when we understand our value and use our gifts intentionally, we create opportunities to inspire, lead, and help others keep winning. #SHMS #STRAW #BEST Money Making Conversations Master Class with Rushion McDonald is America's premier entrepreneurship, business leadership, financial literacy, and wealth-building podcast featuring successful entrepreneurs, executives, founders, celebrities, and industry experts sharing actionable insights for professional and financial success. 339 I No Motivation for Your Next Career Chapter? Try This

Do you know exactly what you want but still aren't moving towards it? Are you frustrated because you know it isn't a lack of discipline? Are you wondering what's actually missing? With my 42nd birthday approaching and my eldest starting high school, I've been in a season of recalibration. I have big goals, but the conviction to consistently move them forward wasn't always showing up, so I paused and looked back to figure out why. In this episode, I share three moments when I achieved something big, the common thread that kept me going, and how you can find that same thread in your own story to close the gap between your goal and taking action. What you will learn: Why you need to look back before you push forward When motivation dips, our instinct is to push harder. Instead, I encourage you to revisit the milestones in your career and life that you're genuinely proud of and ask what was true for you then that isn't true now. The patterns you spot are the ingredients you need to move forward again. Why the goal itself is never the fuel Getting in shape, living in another country, writing a talk: none of those goals were what kept me going. The fuel was always what those goals would allow me to do and create. I explain why a clear, meaningful why is what turns a goal you want into a goal you actually act on. How to use the Five Whys exercise to find your real motivation Your first answer to "why do I want this?" is usually the surface-level one. I share the Five Whys exercise I use with my clients and walk through an example of a professional wanting to build an additional income stream alongside her career, showing how asking "why" five times uncovers the deeper reason that gives you real conviction. Ready to turn your why into a plan? If you're ready to strategise the steps that will move you towards the goals you've set, book a Career Expansion Session with me. These are 75-minute 1:1 sessions where we look at where you are right now and what needs to shift for you to expand beyond it, whether that's starting your own thing alongside your career or levelling up where you are. Motivational Advice: Princey explores how society conditions people to pursue careers based on other people's expectations.

Listen and subscribe to Money Making Conversations on iHeartRadio, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, www.moneymakingconversations.com/subscribe/ or wherever you listen to podcasts. New Money Making Conversations episodes drop daily. I want to alert you, so you don’t miss out on expert analysis and insider perspectives from my guests who provide tips that can help you uplift the community, improve your financial planning, motivation, or advice on how to be a successful entrepreneur. Keep winning! Two-time Emmy and Three-time NAACP Image Award-winning, television Executive Producer Rushion McDonald interviewed El' Deity Princey. She discusses how individuals can recognize when they are being controlled by obligations, expectations, and unhealthy dependencies rather than truly directing their own lives. The conversation centered on creating "structural freedom," building sustainable success, and aligning life choices with personal purpose rather than external expectations. Interview Summary El'Deity Princey joined Money Making Conversations Master Class to discuss her books, Monetize a Mind That's Colonized and The Pressure of Being the Stabilizer. Throughout the conversation, she challenged listeners to ask themselves a powerful question: "Do you run things, or are things running you?" Princey explained that many successful people, entrepreneurs, executives, and employees often believe they are in control when they are actually trapped by the very systems they have created. They become the person everyone depends on, carrying the pressure of constantly solving problems, making decisions, and keeping everything functioning. Rushion shared lessons from his own corporate and entrepreneurial journey, including how he learned that being indispensable can sometimes create stress, distrust, and burnout. Princey responded by explaining that true leadership is not about carrying everything yourself. It is about creating systems that function effectively even when you are absent. The interview also explored how society conditions people to pursue careers, relationships, and lifestyles based on other people's expectations. Princey revealed that after earning degrees and securing a successful career as a therapist, she realized that while she appeared successful on paper, she was not fulfilled internally. That realization led her to develop frameworks that help people align their work, time, and energy with their authentic desires. A key theme throughout the conversation was the difference between being an "operator" and an "allocator." Operators manage everything personally, while allocators build systems, trust people, and create freedom to enjoy life while maintaining success. Key Takeaways 1. Ask Yourself: Do You Run Things or Do Things Run You? Many people believe they are in control, but their schedules, responsibilities, and obligations may actually be controlling them. 2. Success Without Freedom Is Incomplete Achieving financial or professional success means little if you do not have the time and freedom to enjoy your life. 3. Competency Creates Dependency The more capable you are, the more people and systems tend to rely on you. Without boundaries, competence can become a burden. 4. Stop Being the Stabilizer for Everything Many high achievers become the person everyone depends on. Over time, that role creates pressure, exhaustion, and resentment. 5. Build Systems, Not Dependency True leadership creates structures and processes that continue operating effectively without constant supervision. 6. External Success Does Not Guarantee Internal Happiness A great job, impressive credentials, and financial stability do not automatically create fulfillment. 7. Stop Living Someone Else's Script Many people pursue goals based on family expectations, social conditioning, or cultural definitions of success instead of their own desires. 8. Structural Freedom Is the Goal The ability to choose how you spend your time is one of the greatest measures of success. 9. Sustainable Success Requires Growth As opportunities increase, people must expand their systems, habits, and support structures to handle new levels of responsibility. 10. Small Changes Can Create Big Breakthroughs Princey encouraged listeners to start by saying "no" to one recurring demand and observe how their lives begin to shift. Memorable Quotes "Do you run things, or are things running you?" "Just because it works doesn't mean it works for you." "Competency breeds dependency." "The most qualified person is often carrying the most pressure." "Life is meant to be enjoyed." "Most people are managing overload and calling it leadership." "Success brings increased attention, opportunity, and responsibility." "Who were you before they told you who you were?" "You have a compass. You know exactly what lights you up." "Stop being the operator and become the allocator." Final Thoughts El'Deity Princey delivered a thought-provoking conversation about redefining success and reclaiming personal freedom. Her message challenged listeners to move beyond societal expectations and evaluate whether their achievements are creating fulfillment or simply generating more pressure. By building systems, trusting others, and aligning decisions with personal values, individuals can create a life that is not only successful but sustainable. The interview was a powerful reminder that true wealth includes time, freedom, peace of mind, and the ability to live according to your own purpose rather than someone else's expectations. #STRAW #BEST #SHMS Money Making Conversations Master Class with Rushion McDonald is America's premier entrepreneurship, business leadership, financial literacy, and wealth-building podcast featuring successful entrepreneurs, executives, founders, celebrities, and industry experts sharing actionable insights for professional and financial success.
