    Paul Nicholson @paultheukgardener 💚

We started the show as always with George’s gardening question, this week about courgette. We also got a radish update and chatted about what we have been up too. Our guest tonight was another gardener with a luscious head of hair, he has had 26 years as a landscape gardener, and is now an aspiring Garden Designer and even won a Silver Gilt Medal for his Blooming Border at RHS Malvern Spring show this year. He is currently gardening at a retirement estate with an incredible ethos and a wealth of history. As ever we had a wonderful rambling chat, which incorporated all of Paul’s journey in horticulture. We even chatted about how undervalued the industry is and how poorly paid it is for the level of skill and knowledge there is. Join us again next week for another chat with someone from the world of horticulture. Thanks everyone for watching, listening and joining in 💚 podscan_YKIjM4b3QH4C0ZVghyyNbI4znuHxcRrF Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

    Jack Wallington @jackwallingtonnature

We start as we always do with George’s gardening question this week about Radish. We all now need to sow some and see if the answer is correct. Tonight our guest was Jack who is a life long nature lover, a gardener, a designer, a writer who has featured in @gardenersworldmag @guardian @gardens_illustrated and many others, as well as being the author of Wild about Weeds and A Greener Life. I would also add artist on to the list. We geeked out about compost our favourite topic, and even about how Jamie plans to use goats to stop him having to use weed killer. What an incredible stat that over 40% of UK gardens are paved over, we definitely need to start reducing that number. We definitely need to check out the tile whacking in Europe 😂 Thanks everyone for watching and listening join us again next week for another guest from the gardening universe 💚 Hosted on Acast. Nick Patel @_wilderskies_ 🌿

We start as always with George’s garden question, this week about lawn mowers and when they were invented. Tonight we have a wildlife expert which you would think has nothing to do with gardening but in my opinion the two are very closely linked and the more natural we can make our gardens the better. It’s interesting to think about what plant you need to atract a certain insect and how specific those insect can be. If you are ever in the south west and want to have a nature tour with Nick check out his website and follow him on Instagram. Let’s hope his Birdfoot trefoil attracts the small blue butterflies he want to see on his garden, also keep an eye out for Painted lady butterflies as it’s expected to be a good year for them. Marc Ridpath @gardeneriddler 👍🏻💚😞

Yes you read that right Jamie thought it would be interesting to turn the tables and interview Marc as the guest tonight so we can find out his story right from the beginning. George gave us his weekly garden question this week all about daisys and the scores are Marc 9 Jamie 5 and George 4 (George gets a point if Marc and Jamie get it wrong) We even got a bonus guest in Marc’s mum popping on to tell us all about her days in the circus 🎪 Marc has always known he wanted to be a gardener it just took a while to get there but when he found his dream job he felt like he had hit the jackpot! Thanks everyone for watching and listening, join us again next time for some more horti waffle. 💚 Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

    Chris Wiley @hotiaichris 😉

We started with a question from George as always and Marc and Jamie got it wrong again! This week about the biggest flower in the world. Tonight we had the horticultural lifer Chris Wiley who has been gardening since the age of 8 and even asked for a greenhouse as a present. Chris has had such a fantastic career so far from working in a nursery to releasing an amazing new sweet pea variety which won Best plant of the Year 2022 at @bbcgwlive Now Chris’s latest venture is @hortiaichris which Chris has poured all of his knowledge and other experts to create a horticultural specific AI you can try this for free for the first month if you want to try it out. Chris also has a sustainable plant store online for all your eco friend gardening needs. Oh and did we mention he is a massive galanthophile!
