    417. Identity Audit Encourager: Are You Still Introducing Yourself as Who You Used to Be?

I got asked to hand over my bio recently and had to stop and rewrite the whole thing, because it wasn’t me anymore. Our work changes quietly. We take on different clients, learn new things and develop our practice, but the words we use can stay stuck in the past. In this episode, I’m taking you through an identity audit, including your bio, your one-line introduction, the language you use and who your work is actually for now. The full identity audit workbook is part of the Strategy Lab work, where we’ll take these reflections and practical exercises further. If you’d like to join me in Strategy Lab, you can get started here: https://www.geraldineheadley.com/strategy-lab-start-here Next month, we’re moving into sustainable growth. Find me at geraldineheadley.com for more, including free focus calls.

    416. The Identity Audit: Is Your Professional Identity Up to Date?

Has Your Professional Identity Changed? Things change. Your practice changes, you learn more, you work with different people, and before you know it, the bio you wrote a year ago doesn’t really describe you anymore. In this episode, I’m talking about doing an identity audit. Looking at what you do now, who you work with now, and whether the way you talk about yourself has caught up. For my Strategy Lab people, your exclusive content and workbook are now in the Lab, ready for you to work through. You’ll have a clearer picture of who you are in your practice now and what needs updating, so your words match the practitioner you’ve become. Not in Strategy Lab yet? 415. Encourager: Softening Your Yes and No in Practice

What did you say yes to this week that you're already resenting? Saying a clean no (and a clear yes) isn't as simple as it sounds, it's something we have to practise and normalise. My niece never says yes or no to anything. It's always "what about we do it this way?" Turns out that's exactly how she talked her way into becoming a ski instructor, against her father's doubts. This week I'm unpacking why softening our yeses and noes might be the small change that actually sticks, plus questions to sit with. Running a practice involves far more than clinical knowledge. Sometimes what helps most is having the right systems in your back pocket, that's what Strategy Lab is for. Not a member yet? 414. The Practitioner's Yes/No Audit: Small Leadership Habits That Build a Bigger Practice

We've just wrapped up July, which was our end of financial year month (hello, tax time and those awkward money conversations), so this month I'm shifting gears to talk about leadership and identity. And no, I don't mean the "write a book, get on stage, save the world" version. I mean the small, daily one. The one that's really just a pattern of yeses and noes. In this episode I talk about why it's okay to have another job while you build your practice, the moment someone copied my Academy name and how I turned it into a nudge to uplevel, why we practitioners default to yes so easily, and why boundaries aren't walls, they're the shape of your practice. Plus my own clean no with the kids over daytime TV (twenty-one years and counting) Strategy Lab members, grab your Practitioner to Leader workbook and dive into the extended episode, exclusive to you. 413. Encourager: Measuring Your Impact Beyond the Numbers

As we finish up the month, it's a good chance to stop and have a look at how things are really going in your practice. Not just the income or the number of clients you've seen, but the difference you've made. How have your clients changed? What have they achieved? What conversations have stayed with you? We'll also have a look at client retention, whether it's time to ask for a review, and why the impact you have every day is often the most valuable part of your work. 412. From Answers to Results Understanding Practitioner Impact in an AI World

AI is everywhere at the moment, and chances are your clients are arriving with advice from Google, social media, AI, or somebody they've spoken to along the way. So where does that leave us as practitioners? In this episode, I'm talking about the difference between having an answer and making a real difference for the person sitting in front of you. Because while information is easy to find, understanding the individual and what they need is something else entirely. We'll also look at the impact we have in practice every day, and why some of the most important parts of our work are often the hardest to measure. Strategy Lab Members: If you're in the Strategy Lab, there's a workbook and a separate conversation waiting for you inside the platform, where we'll take this a bit further and look at how it applies in your own practice. 411. Growing Your Practice Through Community with Coby du Preez

Every so often I like inviting someone onto the podcast because I always enjoy hearing how other practitioners have built their businesses. This week I sat down with Coby du Preez, massage therapist, business owner and mentor, to chat about growing a practice, building a community around you, avoiding burnout and why it's so important to really understand what your clients are trying to achieve. We also talk about making the move from being a solo practitioner to leading a team, and why building relationships, both with your clients and other health professionals, is such an important part of running a successful practice. There are lots of practical ideas throughout this conversation that I'm sure will get you thinking about your own practice, whether you're just starting out or you've been doing this for years. Have a listen and see what you take away from it. Connect with Coby du Preez: musclemedicine.com.au Not in the Strategy Lab yet? 410. Money Mindset Encourager: Three Questions Every Practitioner Should Ask

This week's a bit of an encourager for you all, whether you're in the Strategy Lab or just out there in podcast land. So today I've got three questions for you to sit with, whatever you're doing right now (dishes, walking, driving, whatever it is). Answer them honestly and you'll walk away knowing exactly where your pricing is leaking, and what to do about it. I also share a bit about how I've reshaped my own offerings this year, cutting back the loss leaders and making Strategy Lab a better product for the people in it. Quick heads up for Strategy Lab members: the 14-day pricing update campaign with email templates and scripts is now live and freshly updated for you. Head to https://www.geraldineheadley.com/strategy_lab to find out more about the Strategy Lab Also don't forget, I've got a live day coming up on the 20th, a full session all about how the consult works. 409. Mid-Year Money Check: The Pricing Reframe Every Natural Health Practitioner Needs

We're hitting mid-year hard and everyone's worried about money. Same playbook as always. So let's talk about where you're actually flinching, because that's what I'm calling it. Your clients Googled their problem, found you in 20 places, checked with a friend, and then booked. They already did the maths. They don't need you doing it for them on top of that. What we cover: -The three rules quietly running your pricing. -Why revenue is not income and your consult fee is not your hourly rate. -The three numbers every solo practice should know. -Why right now, end of financial year, is the perfect time to look at all of it Money paid is not the same as value received. Stop carrying both sides of the transaction. The second half of this session is for Strategy Lab members only, where we go through the workbook, the updated spreadsheet, and the mindset audit in detail. Want in on the members content? 408. Using AI to Make Marketing Easier Without Losing Your Voice

AI can save you time, but it still needs your knowledge, experience and good judgement. In this week's encourager, I share why AI should be a support tool, not the final answer. We revisit the importance of batching your marketing, checking everything AI gives you and staying within the TGA guidelines, so your content stays accurate, professional and true to your voice. If you've been wanting to sharpen your consultation skills, come and join me on Monday, 20 July. We'll spend the day working through an anxiety case together, sharing ideas and learning alongside other practitioners. Early bird pricing is available now. Book your place here: https://www.geraldineheadley.com/checkout/cart If you'd like a little more support throughout the year, I'd love to welcome you into the Strategy Lab. It's where we continue the conversation with practical workbooks, resources and regular discussions to support you in clinic and in business. http://geraldineheadley.com/strategy_lab

    407. Seasonal Content Marketing for Natural Health Practitioners

Marketing can absolutely drain the life out of you, and if you have had a burst of energy followed by a big quiet patch followed by guilt, you will know exactly what I mean. In this one, I am sharing the tool that keeps getting me found online and most practitioners have no idea it is even working for them. I also get into why a rainy week and a coughing nephew in New Zealand is actually all you need to build a full content plan, what happens when your creative energy and your clinical energy hit empty at the same time, how one hook becomes five posts without you having to think that hard, and the AI mistake that could have the TGA knocking if you are not careful. If you have built a pile of content and then not posted a single bit of it, you are in the right place. Strategy Lab members, you have got your own exclusive deep dive session and workbook waiting for you inside, with prompts ready to go so you can get stuck into it straight away. 406. Building Follow-Up Systems That Save You Time in Your Natural Health Clinic

This is a mid-fortnight check-in, what I call an "encourager." We're right in the middle of June, and I just wanted to pop in and give you a nudge. In this episode, I'm talking about resistance, consistency, and why showing up regularly, even in small ways, is what actually moves the needle for you and your clients. I'm also sharing how my Weight Loss Thursday program taught me everything I know about keeping clients on track between appointments. For Strategy Lab Members: Head into the workbook and get started. If you're not sure where to begin, the follow-up structure is your easiest entry point. Want More Than Just the Podcast? If you're enjoying these episodes, the Strategy Lab is where you get the full picture. Workbooks, deeper training, and me showing up every week to keep you accountable. 405. Naturopath Consult Systems: How to Stop Rebuilding Your Clinical Workflow

Every Week How many times this week did you build a treatment plan from a completely blank page? I'm going to call it what it is: a tax. The hidden tax of starting from scratch, not just with new clients, but the third, fourth, fifth consult too. And honestly, it is quietly exhausting, isn't it. This week we are getting into: Why that scramble happens, why we resist the very thing that would fix it, and what to do about it. The real reason your consults feel heavier than they should Why "every client is different" is actually keeping you stuck Where to start so you can walk into your next consult feeling prepared, not scrambling _________________ Strategy Lab members, your continuation of this episode is waiting for you inside Podia along with the June mentoring workbook. By the time you work through it you will have your four clinical templates built, your consults will stop starting from zero, and that pile up at the end of the week gets a whole lot smaller. Go and have a look. Not in the Lab yet? Jump in at https://www.geraldineheadley.com/strategy_lab and come and do this work with us.

    404. Clinical Confidence After Qualifying: Why It Drops and How to Get It Back

What a month. I've shaken things up in how I'm delivering content and I'm loving every bit of it. This month we've been deep in clinical confidence and what it actually takes to present your best self in practice without burning out before you've barely begun. So many practitioners finish qualifying and immediately stall. Waiting for papers, skipping the break they earned, launching before they're ready. By the time they're in front of clients, confidence is already on the back foot. We also tackled scope of practice and this one's bigger than most people realise. Knowing where your lane is and when to refer on protects your client, your energy, and your results. If you're inside Strategy Lab, get into those workbooks. If not, head to https://www.geraldineheadley.com/strategy_lab June brings clinical and marketing systems. Exciting stuff ahead. Got questions? 403. Stop Being the Fixer: The Coaching Shift Every Practitioner Needs

Are you exhausting yourself being the fixer for every client that comes through your door? Because there's a moment in every clinical relationship where your prescription stops being enough and it becomes all about their change. Most of us cross that line without even realising it. In this episode I'm talking about what it actually looks like to coach your clients, not as a life coach, but as the clinician you already are. The shifts are smaller than you think and the results speak for themselves. We get into the five client themes I see come up time and time again and the simple language shifts that hand the power back to your client. There's plenty more to dig into. Inside the Strategy Lab there's a full workbook covering all five themes, the trigger questions, boundary scripts and more. 402. The Confidence Trap Catching Every New Practitioner (And How to Get Out)

You don't need another course, another qualification, or another year of holding yourself back. You're ready right now, and the only thing standing between you and the practitioner you've always wanted to be... is you. In this episode, I'm getting real about the confidence trap that catches nearly every practitioner after they qualify and how to pull yourself out of it before it costs you clients, energy, and the reason you got into this caper in the first place. I'm covering why your confidence is already enough, how to stop stalling, why protecting your energy is bloody essential, and how the right boundaries keep you in the game long term. If you're inside Strategy Lab, your workbooks are ready and waiting, go and get into them! Not in yet? 401. How to Build Clinical Confidence When You Work Alone

Be honest, how many times have you finished a consult and immediately picked it apart in your head? Replaying what you said, what you missed, whether they are actually going to come back. We don't talk about this enough in this industry because everyone's busy looking like they've got it together. And meanwhile you're scrolling through Instagram watching other practitioners look like they've got full books and zero self-doubt. In this episode, I'm getting into the quiet confidence wobbles that come with working alone, why being good at what you do doesn't automatically make you feel good at what you do, and why studying more isn't always the answer. Want to do the actual work on this? The workbook and four-step Confidence Reset Protocol on clinical confidence are already waiting for you in the member area. We're naming exactly what's draining your confidence, finding the trigger and working out your next move together. Come join us at the Strategy Lab because you shouldn't have to figure this out on your own. https://www.geraldineheadley.com/strategy_lab www.geraldineheadley.com www.instagram.com/mentoringwithgeraldine/

    398. Why More Content Isn’t Helping Your Business Growth

What if the thing you reckon you need right now… isn’t actually what’s going to move you forward? I’ve been out for a few walks, giving myself some proper thinking space, and I’ve landed on something that’s shifted how I see the podcast… and how I support you. In this episode, I share what clicked for me and how stepping away gave me a completely different perspective. I chat about why more content isn’t always the answer, and the question you probably haven’t actually stopped to ask yourself yet. And I walk you through the shift I’m making, including how the Strategy Lab is going to play a much bigger role in helping you actually put things into practice. Have a listen and see what lands for you. And if you’re ready to actually put this into practice, drop me an email or come and check out the Strategy Lab. geraldine@mentoringwithgeraldine.biz www.geraldineheadley.com/strategy_lab www.geraldineheadley.com www.instagram.com/mentoringwithgeraldine/
