Larissa's Moonlit Tales

Larissa Langston

Hello, Dreamer! I'm Larissa and I am a real person, not AI. I know how it feels to be exhausted but unable to sleep because of anxiety. I wrote and recorded these stories to give my listeners something calm to think about. When our brains are engaged with a soothing story, it is easier to relax and fall asleep. I also wanted to remind us, myself included, of the beautiful and good things in life. Almost all of these stories are inspired by my own memories. I tend to write them from a young person's perspective, usually a young teen, as I have so many stories from that period of my life. They are safe for all ages, so you can share them with anyone you like. I have been told that the pace of my episodes makes them useful to those who are learning English. I'm glad they are helpful in any way! I hope and pray that these tales will bring you joy and peace, and thus a healthier, happier life!

Love,
Larissa Langston

    The Cat and the Lamp

Good Evening, Dreamer! Tonight's sleepy time tale will take us back to Mrs. Willoughby's Books, Antiques and Sweets store. You'll hear about making the perfect scone, looking for treasures in a shop, and Toby, the cat with a knack for knowing what his customers should buy. I think you'll find this story to be just what you need to help you relax and drift into sweet dreams. My tales come from my own memories or imagination and I record them myself. You're listening to a human, not AI. These episodes are safe for all ages, and written from the perspective of a young person, so feel free to share them with anyone you like. If you are with me tonight to work on your English comprehension, please know that most of the podcast platforms will include a transcript, that you might find helpful. I'd like to thank Matt Bowers for my website, larissasmoonlittales.com, where you can find a sure way to reach me. I'd also like to thank Mark Pottinger for his help with tech. Sleep well, Dreamer. Meyer's Mountain

Good evening, Dreamer! As I write these stories, I love to imagine that I am there, in these peaceful locations, enjoying the beauty of the world. One of my favorite places in the Larissa's Moonlit Tales universe is the little mountain town. We are going to back there tonight, to enjoy autumn in the hills. My stories are designed to help you find restful sleep, either when you first climb into your bed, or if you wake up in the middle of the night. My voice is soothing. My pace is slow. All you need to do, is listen. My episodes are also useful if you are learning English. Most podcast platforms will include a transcript, so look for that. All of these episodes are safe for all ages so feel free to share them. Thanks to Matt Bowers for my website, larissasmoonlittales.com and Mark Pottinger, for his help with tech. Time to drift off, now. Goodnight! Love always! Larissa Copyright © 2026 Larissa Langston. All rights reserved. Kitty is Home Alone

Kitty has been left, briefly, at home and she has to find ways to entertain herself. We've gone back to visit a recurring character on Larissa's Moonlit Tales. Kitty is based on a real cat, one who came to me as a kitten at a gas station in the middle of the night. She is now a grown up kitty, very happy and sassy. I think you'll enjoy this tale about her, at least until you drift off to slumber. All of my tales are safe for all ages, soothing and slow paced. They are designed to be the perfect thing to help you find sleep quickly, or return to sleep if you tend to wake up in the middle of the night. All you have to do is listen. If you are using these tales to work on your English skills, please know that most of the podcast platforms will include a transcript that might be useful. I'd like to thank Matt Bowers for my website, larissasmoonlittales.com, and Mark Pottinger for his help with tech. Now Dreamer, it's time to get comfy and ready for sleep! The Batik Factory

Good evening, Dreamer! When I was a child, my family lived on the island of Java for a few years. It was a great experience and I wanted to share another memory from that time with you. You'll hear about our trip to a batik factory, where beautiful cloth is made in the traditional way. I think you'll find it soothing and entertaining. It should be just the thing to help you drift off to sleep or return to sleep, if you have a tendency to walk up in the middle of the night. All you need to do is listen. If you are using these stories to learn English, my pace is nice and slow, and there is usually a transcript provided, depending on which podcast platform you are using. All my stories are safe for all ages and told from the perspective of a young person, so you can feel good about sharing it with anyone. Thanks to Matt Bowers for my website, and Mark Pottinger for his help with tech. Time for sweet dreams! Love always, Larissa Copyright © 2026 Larissa Langston. All rights reserved. Avalon

Good evening, Dreamer! My name is Larissa, and I'm a singer, actor, dancer, and writer. I create these tales because I understand from experience that sometimes it's difficult to fall asleep. These stories are designed to be very soothing and just engaging enough, to help your busy brain stop processing the thoughts of the day. You listen, you relax, you fall asleep. Fireworks in the Bay

Good evening, Dreamer! I wrote tonight's story after being inspired by the sights and sounds of the fourth while being in a slightly unusual location. I wanted to take you to a beautiful bay, where the fireworks are reflected in the water around the boat, and the explosions echo off the walls of the cliffs. Though this might sound a bit exciting, I promise you, this story is written and recorded in such a way, that listening to it should help you fall asleep quickly. All my stories are safe for all ages so feel free to share them with anyone you like. I also have listeners who use these tales to help them learn English. The pace is quite slow, and there is a transcript available on most platforms to assist you with that. Thanks to Matt Bowers for my website larissasmoonlittales.com and Mark Pottinger for his help with tech. If you have any suggestions, please email me at larissasmoonlittales@gmail.com.
