Agnico Eagle Targets Up to 1.5M Ounces of New Production | Ammar Al-Joundi

Ammar Al-Joundi, President and CEO of Agnico Eagle Mines, joins Kitco Mining’s Paul Harris at the 2026 Mining Forum Americas in Colorado Springs to explain why the company is focused on growing from within as consolidation speculation builds across the gold sector. Al-Joundi says Agnico expects to add between 1.3 million and 1.5 million ounces of annual production over the next five to 10 years, largely from assets it already owns. Growth at Detour Lake and Canadian Malartic, alongside Hope Bay and Upper Beaver, could lift production by roughly 20% to 30%, with Al-Joundi stressing that increasing production per share remains the key objective. He also discusses Hope Bay’s approximately $2.4 billion initial capital estimate and Agnico’s strengthened balance sheet after returning $1 billion to shareholders in the first half of 2026. Al-Joundi says future cash returns could be “considerably more,” while strategic investments in junior miners provide “optionality” to increase exposure as projects succeed. The Dollar’s Power Is Pushing Central Banks Toward Gold | Edward Fishman

Edward Fishman, Senior Fellow and Director of the Maurice R. Greenberg Center for Geoeconomics at the Council on Foreign Relations and author of Chokepoints: American Power in the Age of Economic Warfare, joins Kitco Mining’s Paul Harris at the 2026 Mining Forum Americas in Colorado Springs to explain how control over currencies, critical minerals and trade routes is becoming a source of geopolitical power. Fishman says the freezing of Russia’s central-bank reserves in 2022 helped accelerate official-sector demand for gold, while China’s dominance of rare earth processing has exposed another major economic chokepoint. He argues that Western governments are investing to diversify critical-mineral supply chains, but says breaking China’s leverage will take years rather than happen quickly. Fishman also discusses tariffs and alliance trust, why the U.S. may need a “cold peace” with China while it builds alternative mineral supply chains, and how physical chokepoints such as the Strait of Hormuz and the Red Sea can still disrupt global commodity markets. Why Physical Metals Matter More in a Digital System | Jenny Shaigec

Jenny Shaigec, CEO of Sandpiper Trading, joins Kitco Mining’s Paul Harris at the 2026 Precious Metals Summit in Beaver Creek to discuss why she believes investors should look beyond cryptocurrency when assessing the growing shift toward tokenization and digital assets. Shaigec examines Pax Silica, the U.S.-led economic security initiative launched in December 2025 around AI, critical minerals and technology supply chains, alongside the evolving U.S. regulatory framework for digital assets. She warns that “if you think it’s just about crypto, it is not,” arguing that the tokenization of real-world assets raises broader questions around ownership, custody, traceability and government control. She also lays out her concerns about greater centralization within the international monetary system and the future role of stablecoins and digital currencies. Shaigec explains why those concerns reinforce her preference for physical precious metals, and why she believes investors should think carefully about custody as gold itself becomes increasingly integrated into digital financial infrastructure. Metalla’s Gosselin Royalty Is Becoming a Much Bigger Asset | Brett Heath

Brett Heath, CEO of Metalla Royalty & Streaming, joins Kitco Mining’s Paul Harris at the 2026 Mining Forum Americas in Colorado Springs to explain why he believes streams are becoming a “mainstream form of financing” for the mining industry. Heath argues that rising borrowing costs and increasingly expensive copper builds could create a larger role for royalty and streaming capital, with some future transactions potentially reaching several billion dollars. He also explains why larger deals could lead to more syndication across the royalty sector. Heath discusses Metalla’s growing cash flow, what approaching the US$1 billion market-cap threshold means for the company, and its 1.5% NSR covering Gosselin and portions of Côté. He also addresses Tether’s growing position in Metalla and explains why greater access to capital has not changed the company’s acquisition discipline: “we are not going to grow for the sake of growth.” Heath outlines upcoming catalysts across Gosselin, Taca Taca, Copper World and Castle Mountain as Metalla’s portfolio continues to mature. Gold Stocks May Finally Be Ready to Outperform | John Hathaway

John Hathaway, Managing Partner at Sprott Asset Management, joins Kitco Mining’s Paul Harris at the 2026 Precious Metals Summit in Beaver Creek to discuss why he sees gold as an “all-weather strategy” and why he believes gold equities may be entering a stronger phase. Hathaway says miners are better managed than they were at the 2011 gold-price peak and more profitable than at any point he has seen since entering the sector in 1998, but argues companies still need to do a better job explaining why investors should own their stocks. He says the “torque” gold equities can provide relative to moves in bullion is starting to play out, while cash-rich producers and what he views as low sector valuations could fuel an M&A wave that he believes is “just around the corner.” Hathaway also discusses “lazy balance sheets,” why some producers should consider holding bullion, and what could finally bring generalist investors back into gold and mining equities. He says a broader rotation may require investors to lose confidence in bonds and their existing portfolio positioning, while warning that mining inflation could eventually pressure today’s strong margins. The Bond Market Is Sending a Warning | Grant Williams

Grant Williams, author and host of the Grant Williams Podcast, joins Kitco Mining’s Paul Harris at the 2026 Precious Metals Summit in Beaver Creek to explain why he believes “the bond market is where people should be looking” as rising yields increase borrowing costs and expose stress across the financial system. Williams argues that governments and central banks are becoming increasingly constrained as higher debt-service costs collide with persistent inflation and growing competition for capital. He also lays out his case for a future monetary reset in which gold could return as a stabilizing anchor, arguing that such a shift would not be chosen voluntarily but could ultimately be “forced upon them.” The discussion also covers declining trust between governments and institutions, Williams’s interpretation of gold repatriation as a signal of that shift, geopolitical and energy risks, and how investors should think about protecting portfolios against extreme events. Williams says gold and the bond market are the two key signals to watch for changes in trust, funding pressure and financial stability. Greenheart Gold Begins Drilling Its Top Suriname Target | Justin van der Toorn

Greenheart Gold President and CEO Justin van der Toorn joins Kitco Mining’s Paul Harris for Kitco Spotlight at the 2026 Precious Metals Summit in Beaver Creek as the company drills its highest-priority exploration target at Tosso Creek in Suriname. Greenheart began an initial 2,000-meter diamond drill program at Tosso Creek in August following trench results including 56.0 meters grading 0.97 g/t gold at Swalanga and 7.0 meters grading 4.57 g/t gold at Walaba. Van der Toorn says Tosso Creek now needs to demonstrate “multi-million-ounce potential,” with the first drilling designed to test continuity, structural controls and higher-grade zones before Greenheart decides whether to expand the program. Van der Toorn also explains how the team is applying its experience from Reunion Gold and the Oko West discovery across the Guiana Shield. He says Greenheart’s roughly C$75 million cash position gives the company flexibility to accelerate successful projects while walking away from those that fail to show sufficient scale, as it continues building a broader pipeline across Suriname and Guyana. Trust Is Being Repriced as Gold Returns to the Monetary System | Ronald-Peter Stöferle

Ronald-Peter Stöferle, Managing Partner at Incrementum and author of the In Gold We Trust report, joins Kitco Mining’s Paul Harris at the 2026 Precious Metals Summit in Beaver Creek to discuss why he believes gold is moving through a remonetization cycle rather than simply another bull-market phase. Stöferle says “trust is being repriced” as central banks accumulate and repatriate gold while confidence in bonds and institutions comes under pressure. He also argues that revaluing U.S. gold reserves to current market prices could create a significant balance-sheet gain and potentially help reestablish trust in the U.S. bond market and dollar. The discussion also covers Bitcoin as “digital gold,” Stöferle’s “Corporate Gold Standard” case for miners holding part of their cash in bullion, the strongest bear case for gold, and why his long-term $8,900 gold target remains in place for the end of 2030. Blackrock Silver Extends Tonopah West by 600 Meters | Andrew Pollard

Blackrock Silver President and CEO Andrew Pollard joins Kitco Mining’s Kitco Spotlight with Paul Harris at the 2026 Precious Metals Summit in Beaver Creek to discuss new drilling at the company’s Tonopah West silver-gold project in Nevada and its path toward underground development. Pollard says the latest step-out drilling has extended high-grade mineralization another 600 meters along the Denver vein system, with one hole returning 0.49 meters at 1,096 g/t silver equivalent. The program also identified a new intrusive-complex target, while 12 additional drill assays remain pending. Pollard also outlines the permitting path for an exploration decline, a planned minimum 50,000-ton bulk sample, underground drilling, and a move directly toward feasibility. He discusses potential U.S. government funding, Blackrock’s valuation gap, the planned TSX uplisting and the company’s goal of breaking ground in 2027. Mackay Gold Brings the Comstock District Under One Roof | Darwin Green

Mackay Gold & Silver CEO and Director Darwin Green joins Kitco Mining’s Kitco Spotlight with Paul Harris at the 2026 Precious Metals Summit in Beaver Creek to discuss the company’s consolidation of Nevada’s historic Comstock district and the first results from its maiden drill program. Green says Mackay now effectively controls the major historic lodes across the district, allowing the company to explore the system at district scale for the first time. Initial drilling at Occidental South included 59.4 meters grading 1.00 g/t gold, with the first seven holes nearly doubling the Occidental South mineralized strike length to about 550 meters. Green also outlines Mackay’s goal of framing 2 to 3 million ounces over the next 12 to 24 months by combining new drilling with the conversion of historical estimates. He discusses the deeper Sutro Tunnel target, plans to continue expanding the drill program, and why Mackay believes the broader Comstock district still has significant exploration potential. Newcore Gold Sees a Major Valuation Gap After Enchi PFS | Luke Alexander

Newcore Gold President and CEO Luke Alexander joins Kitco Mining’s Kitco Spotlight with Paul Harris at the 2026 Precious Metals Summit in Beaver Creek to discuss the Enchi Gold Project in Ghana and what comes next after its pre-feasibility study. At a $4,200 gold price, the PFS outlined a $647 million after-tax NPV, a 45% IRR and roughly $351 million in initial CapEx. With Newcore trading at a market capitalization of about $80 million, Alexander says “there’s a fundamental disconnect” between the company’s valuation and the project economics. Alexander also explains the move to a CIL operation, Ghana’s mining and royalty changes, Enchi’s leverage to higher gold prices, and the path toward a feasibility study and mining lease. He also discusses roughly 33,000 meters of drill results still to come as Newcore targets higher-grade material, resource growth and future mine-plan optimization. Gold’s Bull Market Is Intact, But the Next High May Take Time | Florian Grummes

Florian Grummes, Managing Director of Midas Touch Consulting, joins Kitco Mining’s Paul Harris at the 2026 Precious Metals Summit in Beaver Creek to discuss gold’s secular bull market, silver’s long-term technical setup, and why the next major move may take longer than many investors expect. Grummes says gold remains in a secular bull market but could take until mid-to-late 2027 to reach a new all-time high. He also discusses rising bond yields, the long-term outlook for the U.S. dollar and an oil shock he believes could push energy prices higher and add further inflationary pressure. On silver, Grummes revisits what he calls “the mother of all cup and handles,” arguing the multi-decade technical pattern still points to major long-term upside despite the recent correction. He also explains why industrial demand, gold substitution, and the broader monetary backdrop could support silver over the coming years. Tokenization comes to Mining Finance | Jesse Knutson

Jesse Knutson, Head of Operations at Bitfinex Securities, joins Kitco Mining’s Paul Harris to discuss how tokenization could open a new capital route for mining and commodity companies after Bitfinex Securities facilitated a US$50 million raise for Alkemya Metacore. The raise, the largest to date on the Bitfinex Securities platform, will help Alkemya commercialize ultra-high-purity nickel wire for semiconductors, aerospace, defense and advanced manufacturing. Knutson says tokenization applies the technology behind Bitcoin and digital assets to capital markets, creating a system designed to be cheaper, faster and more transparent. He explains what investors receive, how tokenized securities can trade, and why whitelisted ecosystems are used to meet qualified-investor and jurisdictional rules. Knutson also discusses how tokenization could bring new sources of capital into mining and commodities, which he frames as part of the broader real-world-assets shift. He says investor interest is coming from crypto high-net-worth investors, family offices, and institutions that move between traditional finance and digital assets. Knutson also explains why El Salvador’s framework was used, what products could come next, and why 24/7 trading, real-time settlement, and peer-to-peer transfers could shape the future of global markets. Rick Rule: “Gold Companies are  selling at the greatest discount”

Rick Rule, President and CEO of Rule Investment Media, joins Kitco Mining’s Paul Harris to discuss gold’s breakout, silver’s leverage, record copper prices, and why mining investors should focus on the gap between price and value. Rule says gold remains sensitive to U.S. real and nominal interest rates in the near term, but longer term he expects artificially low rates and quantitative easing to support the metal. He says silver can take leadership when gold momentum attracts generalist investors, while copper’s record run reflects years of underinvestment in exploration, development and productive capacity, alongside supply problems at major operations. Rule also weighs Ivanhoe Mines’ Western Forelands copper discovery in the Democratic Republic of Congo, including its grade, 100% ownership and access to existing infrastructure. He says host countries can ultimately capture about 50% of a deposit’s economic value after capital is returned, and argues streaming agreements could help governments participate in price upside while giving companies clearer terms. Rule also discusses why North America is not immune from fiscal risk, what gold-equivalent resources can obscure after Collective Mining’s maiden resource at Guayabales, and why investors must separate market price from underlying value. “Money is made on the delta between price and value,” he said. US$150B Drone Boom Fuels Critical Minerals Race | Michael Rowley

Michael Rowley, President and CEO of Stillwater Critical Minerals, joins Kitco Mining’s Paul Harris to discuss how US$150 billion in pledged drone and counter-drone spending is sharpening the race for critical minerals, domestic supply chains and U.S.-based mining projects. Rowley says geopolitics are changing the market for metals used in drones, robotics, defense systems and advanced manufacturing. “Price is not the only factor anymore,” he said, pointing to rising U.S. government support through funding, permitting help and Defense Production Act tools. Stillwater West sits in Montana’s producing Stillwater district and hosts 10 U.S.-listed critical commodities, including nickel, copper, cobalt, platinum, palladium, rhodium and chromium. Rowley also outlines Stillwater West’s updated resource, which now totals 805 million tonnes grading 0.34% total nickel equivalent and includes the project’s first indicated resource. He says scale is the key takeaway, but the company is shifting toward infill drilling, higher-confidence resources and a PEA within 12 to 18 months. Rowley also discusses chromium upside, rhodium’s value, Sibanye’s nearby infrastructure, Glencore’s role, hydrometallurgy and upcoming drill results. Recorded September 2, 2026. Bunker Hill Builds ‘Made in America’ Silver Platform | Richard Williams

Richard Williams, Executive Chairman of Bunker Hill Mining, joins Kitco Mining’s Paul Harris to discuss Bunker Hill’s Silver47 takeover, a US$163 million all-share deal aimed at turning its Idaho mine restart into a broader “made in America” silver and critical minerals platform. Williams says the deal combines Bunker Hill’s mine, which is ramping toward commercial production by year-end, with Silver47’s assets in Alaska, New Mexico and Nevada. The combined company, to be renamed Bunker Hill Silver, will hold four U.S. silver projects with about 390 million ounces of silver equivalent resources. “Opportunity doesn’t wait for anybody,” Williams said. Williams also explains how the Cate-8 discovery and planned second portal could lift grade, increase throughput to 2,500 tons per day and support stronger 2027 guidance. He says future mine cash flow could fund exploration at Red Mountain, Mogollon and Tonopah while limiting repeated equity raises. Williams also discusses U.S. Ex-Im Bank support, Idaho’s Silver Valley, Teck’s Trail smelter, North American trade risk, near-term liquidity, the developer-to-producer transition, and why fixing the silver loan is the “catalyst of all catalysts.” Recorded August 26, 2026. How Empress Royalty Is Finding Opportunity In Today's Market | David Rhodes

Gold is above $4,000 and silver in the $60s, yet Empress Royalty Executive Chairman David Rhodes says the recent pullback is exactly when disciplined royalty buyers should be shopping. Rhodes joins Kitco Mining's Kitco Spotlight with Jeremy Szafron at the Rule Symposium 2026 in Boca Raton to explain the small-stream niche Empress built its business on: $20 to $30 million financings on near-term producing assets that the major royalty players are too big to chase. He discusses why Empress deliberately stayed on the sidelines for roughly 18 months as prices ran up, how the correction has reset seller valuations back to more realistic levels, and why he underwrites deals on long-term metal prices rather than spot. Rhodes also covers Empress's path from startup to a cash-flow-positive balance sheet, its preference for holding physical gold and silver, its appetite for higher-risk jurisdictions, and a new AI platform that surfaces overlooked royalties competitors never see. Blackrock Silver’s Plan to Build a High-Grade Nevada Silver Mine | Andrew Pollard

Silver has been cut in half from its highs, but Blackrock Silver CEO Andrew Pollard says the long-term thesis has not changed. Pollard joins Kitco Mining’s Kitco Spotlight with Paul Harris to discuss silver’s correction, structural deficits, and why high-grade projects can stand out in volatile markets. “High-grade stories are all-weather,” Pollard said. The focus is Blackrock Silver’s 100%-owned Tonopah West silver-gold project in Nevada’s Walker Lane. The company’s March 2026 PEA outlined average annual production of 7.1 million ounces silver equivalent over more than 11 years, with all-in sustaining costs of $7.44 per ounce and initial capital of $190 million. Pollard discusses Blackrock’s path toward development, including a planned exploration decline in Q3 2027, a minimum 50,000 tons of high-grade ore in 2028, private-land permitting advantages, potential non-dilutive U.S. government funding, the build-or-takeout question, and 800-meter step-outs that could test the next phase of resource growth. Mackay Gold & Silver Targets Nevada’s Famous Comstock District | Darwin Green

Mackay Gold & Silver (TSXV: MACK; OTCQB: MKGSF) CEO and Director Darwin Green joins Kitco Mining’s Kitco Spotlight with Paul Harris to discuss Mackay’s recent IPO, its $60 million financing, and its first major drill program in Nevada’s historic Comstock District. Mackay is targeting the Occidental-Brunswick Lode, a 3-mile structure running parallel to the historic Comstock Lode. Green said fragmented ownership left the district underexplored for more than a century, creating an opportunity to apply modern drilling to one of America’s most famous gold-silver camps. Green outlines Mackay’s 20,000-meter Phase 1 drill program, which began in June, including 15,000 meters of RC drilling focused on near-surface oxide gold-silver mineralization and 5,000 meters of core drilling testing deeper potential near the historic Sutro Tunnel. He also discusses the company’s land consolidation strategy, remaining treasury of more than $40 million USD, and first assay results expected in late summer. Silvercorp’s $60 Silver Play: China Cash Flow, Global Growth | Lon Shaver

Silvercorp Metals (TSX: SVM; NYSE American: SVM) President Lon Shaver joins Kitco Mining’s Kitco Spotlight with Paul Harris to discuss silver’s volatile run, the company’s low-cost China operations, and its plan to grow across Ecuador and Kyrgyzstan. Shaver said silver’s pullback should be viewed against the scale of the move that came before it, with the metal still trading near $60 per ounce after roughly doubling from early 2025 levels. “This is a great time to be a silver producer at $60 silver,” he said. Silvercorp produced 6.8 million ounces of silver and 7.5 million ounces of silver equivalent in fiscal 2026, which ended March 31, at an all-in sustaining cost of $14.25 per ounce. Shaver outlines how the company is funding growth beyond China, including El Domo and Condor in Ecuador, as well as the Tulukbash and Kyzyl Tash gold projects in Kyrgyzstan.
