October 5 · 34 minThe Called to Flourish Podcast - From "Barely Healthy" to One of America's Fastest-Growing Churches — Greg Anderson, Traders Point Christian Church
Traders Point Christian Church's staff culture was once, in Greg Anderson's own words, "barely healthy." Since then, they've built a healthy, flourishing workplace culture — and the church itself has become one of the fastest-growing in the country. Executive Pastor Greg Anderson makes the case that those two facts are directly connected. He traces the turning point back to the humbling season after COVID, when an Employee Engagement Survey revealed a real disconnect: leadership thought the church's direction was clear, but staff didn't share that clarity. Greg discusses what his team changed in response, work that moved Traders Point into Best Christian Workplaces' flourishing range and earned it recognition as a Certified Best Christian Workplace. For any leader hoping to grow without it costing the staff who carry the mission, this conversation is worth the listen. You'll Gain Insight On: What a post-COVID survey revealed about the gap between leadership's clarity and staff's clarity Why a flourishing culture is what makes fast growth sustainable rather than destructive What it looks like to move a staff culture from barely healthy toward flourishing What leaders should protect first when growth accelerates You'll Gain Insight On: What a post-COVID survey revealed about the gap between leadership's clarity and staff's clarity How defining specific behaviors, not just values, shapes hiring, training, and accountability Why a flourishing culture is what makes fast growth sustainable rather than destructive What leaders should protect first when growth accelerates Subscribe to Called to Flourish and share this conversation with a fellow leader. October 5 · 30 minHow to Study the Bible - Bible Study Made Simple - The 5 Steps of Discernment: How to Make Godly Decisions for Your Life
This is it, friends. Our final episode. And I can't think of a more perfect place to land than right here, in the very process that brought me to this moment of saying goodbye. Today we're walking through the actual steps of discernment, a rigorous, Holy Spirit-led process rooted in Ignatian spirituality that is so much more than a pros and cons list. And I want you to know, this process took me seven months to work through for this decision. Seven months of going back and forth, consulting spiritual advisors, wrestling, praying, and waiting. That's very different from how the world tells us to make decisions. But the freedom on the other side of it? There are no words. The Five Steps of Discernment Identify the actual decision in front of you Ask the Holy Spirit to transform your thoughts — work toward sacred detachment Ask the Holy Spirit to influence your will — gather data, write pros and cons, evaluate findings Ask the Holy Spirit for spiritual consolation — wait for settled, deep confidence Confirm the decision and move forward in faith Want More? October 5 · 26 minEquip & Empower Podcast with Christine Caine - Episode 415 | Spirit-Empowered Purpose: What the Holy Spirit Actually Does In and Through Your Life
You have been trying to do in your own strength what only the Holy Spirit can do. And you are tired. And you are running out. And you wonder why it all feels so hard. In episode nine of A Life Unleashed, Christine Caine opens Acts 2 and makes the most practical case for the Holy Spirit you will ever hear — not as a theological category or a controversial subject, but as the non-negotiable power source for every single thing God has called you to do. In this episode, Christine Caine takes us to the upper room at Pentecost with a violent rushing wind, tongues of fire, 120 people speaking in languages they have never learned and shows that this was not a one-time event for a special generation of believers. It was the inauguration of a power that is available to every follower of Jesus, in every generation, including this one. She traces the transformation of Peter, the man who denied Jesus three times to a servant girl, who was so afraid that he lied about even knowing Him. She shows what happened when the Holy Spirit came: that same Peter stood up in front of thousands and preached with such conviction that 3,000 people were saved in a single day. Nothing changed except the filling. And the same filling is available to you. Christine is honest about the abuses and misuses of the Spirit's gifts that have made many believers cautious, and she addresses that caution directly, without dismissing it. But she makes the case that caution is not the same as absence, and that the answer to counterfeit is not to reject what is real. The takeaway that will send you back into your calling and purpose differently: God has woven into the very fabric of your calling the need for Him Himself to fulfill it, and He has made sure you cannot do it without more of Him. ✨ If you've ever asked questions like… ✅ Why does living out my calling feel so exhausting and hard? Am I doing something wrong? ✅ What does the Holy Spirit actually do in a practical, everyday sense? ✅ Is Pentecost something that happened once, or is that power still available today? ✅ I've seen the Holy Spirit misused. How do I pursue what's real without being deceived? ✅ Do the gifts of the Spirit still operate today, or did they stop after the apostles? ✅ How do I get more of the Holy Spirit and what does that even mean? ✅ Why do some people seem to have a supernatural boldness and power I don't have? …then this is your episode. What you'll learn: → Why even the disciples — men who walked with Jesus for three years, witnessed His miracles, and saw Him risen — still needed the filling of the Holy Spirit before they could be effective witnesses, and what that means for you and the calling in front of you right now. → Why Pentecost was the great equalizer, how the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on all flesh eliminated every hierarchy of age, gender, race, and class, and why the same Spirit that came then is the privilege of every single believer today, including you. → How to respond to the genuine abuses and misuses of the Spirit's gifts without throwing out what is real — and why the answer to excess is not absence but the pursuit of genuine, humble, fruitful empowerment by the Holy Spirit of God.
