Chatterbox Redux Podcast

Nick & Sue

The Chatterbox Redux Podcast with Nick & Sue is an off-shoot from the highly successful weekly, two hourly, syndicated Chatterbox radio chat show, which can be heard on over 200 radio stations across the United Kingdom and on further radio stations in other territories,

Chatterbox originally started as Chatterbox UK during the first lock down and was born out of regular Sunday afternoon interviews on a tribute version of the former pirate radio station Radio Northsea International.

The guests come from the 1950's right through to the present day, and range from A-listers and B-listers, through to wannabe's and has-beens, and range from singers, TV stars and presenters, authors, podcasters through to the odd boxer and missionary. You will also find the odd Beatle.

The Chatterbox Podcast format is being used in addition to the new radio shows from February, 2026, while classic and older interviews are all being re-edited to make them suitable for a podcast, and to make older interviews sound time-less to the listener.

Many great Rockstar's, Musicians and Singers are among those that have taken time out to chat about their lives and to let us know what they are doing. The songs are not included in the podcasts on account that it is not a music show and also to counteract copyright issues.

The Chatterbox Podcast makes great listening and we hope that you listen to the podcast regularly. Please subscribe and make it one of your favourites so that you never miss an episode.

we can be contacted at nickelbum@myyahoo.com , this includes listeners, radio stations that are interested in taking the main Chatterbox Show, or potential guests.

    Mazza

Mazza is a London-based vocal artist who’s distinctive, soulful interpretation of Hozier's hit "Take Me to Church" is her debut single on the SINGERS INC. record label. After over a decade since their last studio album, Singers Inc. returns with Trinity - Singers Inc. Vol. 3, a bold new collection of reimagined classics — executive produced by SINC Records founder Chris Manoe. Born during the reflective quiet of the 2020 lockdown, this album was shaped by a need to reconnect — through music, emotion, and shared experience. Trinity is unapologetically pop, rich with nostalgia, and beautifully reinterpreted for a modern era. The album features 12 iconic songs, reimagined and recorded by a powerful roster of UK vocalists, including Louise Dearman, Kele Le Roc, Portia Emare, Damien Edwards, Chris Manoe, Lois Morgan Gay, and Mazza. The cover artwork is symbolic and deliberate: - 12 empty chairs in a studio space - each one waiting for a new voice to step in and honour the legacy of a great song. Each artist brings a unique vocal identity to their chosen track, making the old feel new again. Whether you're rediscovering these songs or hearing them for the first time, Trinity is a heartfelt tribute to timeless songwriting — wrapped in soul, pop, beauty, and craft. A celebration of legacy, voice, and the music that never stops moving us. Motel Sundown (Karen Turley & Naomi Campbell)

With a sound reminiscent of soft-rock bands of the 60s & 70s, harmony trio Motel Sundown draw listeners with their blend of heartfelt lyrics over luscious three-part harmonies. Much of 2025 saw Motel Sundown flourish in the studio, working on their second EP Signs in the Rush of Light, which was released in March 2026, earning the band their debut BBC Radio 2 play with Bob Harris, who labelled the trio “really terrific." In partnership with BBC Introducing, the trio were also invited to play C2C at the O2 Arena in London in March 2026 and performed 2 tracks live on BBC Radio 2 with Bob Harris. 2024 saw the release of their debut EP El Dorado (“vividly nostalgic songs that envelop and intrigue you” - Boot Music), coinciding with a sold-out show at the Music Room, Liverpool and Green Note, Camden, before appearing at Liverpool Celebrates Festival, sharing a line-up with The Jacksons at Liverpool’s Pier Head. The band closed their busiest year yet with a 9-date tour across the UK and Ireland. Motel Sundown continue building their momentum this Summer with festival appearances at Beardy Folk, Red Rooster and a full band show at ARC:HIVE Liverpool on the 12th of June. They met around 2016 on the gigging circuit in Liverpool and quickly realised they not only had mutual influences but also thought that the sound of their voices blended really well together. With Naomi and Karen hailing from Co. Tyrone in the north of Ireland (meeting in Liverpool) and Bobby hailing from London, a friendship quickly formed, and the trio have been playing together ever since. Karen Turley is an acclaimed Singer-Songwriter hailing from Ireland with a lifelong passion for Folk, Country, and Americana. In 2016, Karen participated in an exchange between Liverpool and Nashville with Monkey Mind Productions. She was invited to perform in the round at The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville with Grammy-nominated Don Henry and Americana Singer-Songwriter Beth Nielsen Chapman. Karen has released two solo EPs and has garnered extensive experience performing both as a solo artist and as part of various bands, including Americana Trio Motel Sundown, captivating audiences across Ireland and the UK. NAOMI CAMPBELL combines a hybrid of genres in her music. Known for her dynamic and evocative vocals, she has enjoyed quite the evolution in the past few years from her Irish roots of Folk and Americana to a wider Soul and R&B sound. Since moving to Liverpool in 2014 Naomi has been a part of several musical projects including harmony trio Motel Sundown and Down in Laurel Canyon as well as releasing her own solo material. BOBBY JOHNSON is the third member of Motel Sundown. Parry Ray

Parry Ray is a singer, songwriter, podcaster, writer and mother. Born and bred in Kensal Green, northwest London to Indian parents, Parry’s fascination with words began at the age of 6 when she started writing poetry, which very quickly developed into song lyrics. When she started singing at 7 years old Classically trained in voice, piano and guitar, Parry developed a passion for jazz and pop before she hit her teens and was introduced to a broader spectrum of music by the teachers that guided her. Parry’s voice has been described as ‘sweet and clear’ with undeniable jazz and blues tones - however her personal musical tastes are far reaching - everything from Stephen Sondheim to Prince and Slipknot, and many artists in between. As a result, her own music and compositions often straddle genres, something Parry leans into and loves to play with. A turning point in Parry’s life took place in 2001, when her father was hospitalised due to a negligent operation. It was then that Parry rediscovered her voice. At that time, also a mother to two toddlers she knew full well that life would always be busy, but she recognised that throughout her life, music had been and would always be her beacon, her salvation and a key reason to be. She began to write and record her own songs and took the step to resume gigging as the artist she was to become. Now an established artist both touring and recording, Parry has performed regularly at the Royal Albert Hall in their ‘Beyond the Main stage’ programme, Upstairs at Ronnie Scott’s, the Bulls Head and The Pheasantry to name a few. With regards to the music she has recorded, Parry has carved herself a reputation for pulling apart songs we know and love and reinterpreting them, arranging them in a way that is both intimate and modern. This is particularly evident in her Know the Way Back album produced by Andy Wright (Simply Red, the Eurythmics, Simple Minds) and her Out Of The Shadows album, produced and co-arranged by James McMillan (Liane Carroll, Van Morrison) - a collection of musical theatre compositions re-imagined with a strong jazz feel. Parry is currently working on a new album of originals, to be released later in 2026. Parry’s mission statement is one of love, positivity, passion, and joy and to that end in 2018 she launched a podcast series called About Last Night which explores the lives and minds of people who excel in their respective fields and allows them to share the highs and lows of their creative journeys, and how and where they find joy in their lives. Aside from preparing to share her new album with the world, Parry is also currently working on a novel which draws on her own life lessons as a British Asian woman, a creative artist and a full-time mother. https://www.instagram.com/parryrayinharmony Today's episode is brought to you by The Strong Coffee Company - Elevate your coffee routine with Strong Coffee Company's "Black" instant blend and lattes. Trisha Marie

Trisha Marie is an emerging, fiercely independent singer-songwriter who records and produces her music completely from home. Rather than being a product of a traditional corporate incubator or a major city's industry hub, she represents the modern wave of digital-age creators who build their audiences organically. As a mother and daughter navigating everyday realities, her background is rooted in turning personal survival, raw journaling, and emotional reflection directly into art. The Sound and the Story Trisha’s music is a compelling, genre-bending mix of pop, rock, and country. She cites a wide range of inspirations—from the dark, atmospheric pop of Billie Eilish and the edge of Ronnie Radke to the powerhouse vocals of Kelly Clarkson. Her entry into the music industry wasn't planned; she began writing and releasing songs as a personal lifeline during a bout with depression. That profound vulnerability struck a massive chord online. Before her official, polished releases hit streaming platforms, raw teasers of her tracks "Adhd" and "Just Like You" went viral on TikTok, pulling in staggering numbers (roughly 4 million and 11 million views, respectively). Some Key Releases. "Voices": A standout single written during a turbulent period, capturing the suffocating feeling of losing your own identity beneath the noise of other people's expectations. "Adhd" & "Just Like You": The tracks that put her on the map via viral video platforms. Other notable tracks in her growing catalogue include "Cowgirl Impulses," "When Lights Go Out," and "Losing Grip on Reality." Back in June, rising alt-rock act D3LTA announced his long-awaited debut album ‘Mad About It’, Marking his first full-length record and first body of work since 2023, the record introduces D3LTA’s most expansive material to date. Last Friday D3LTA also shared his stunning new single ‘Daydream’ off the upcoming record, which he debuted live at this year’s The Great Escape. The track is available HERE. Written between London, Athens, and Los Angeles, ‘Mad About It’ finds D3LTA navigating themes of mental health, youthful disillusionment, longing, and isolation through a blend of indie-rock and cinematic songwriting. Inspired by artists ranging from Talking Heads, David Bowie and Twenty One Pilots growing up, D3LTA builds a sound that forms a backdrop to these pertinent themes.
