    Chapter 3 - Episode 10: What's in a land acknowledgement?

In this episode of the #CallHerAuntyPodcast, Grace & Qua give a review of treaty rights and the purpose of a land acknowledgement as they perceive it. Land acknowledgements were a term sprouted from the 94 Calls to Action. The Truth and Reconciliation Report was released in 2015 where the commission published 94 calls to action urging all levels of government (federal, provincial, and territorial) to work together to correct policies to heal the harm caused by residential schools. The report included calls to action for different industries and then began the land acknowledgement statements at hockey games and other settings where it is deemed shallow. Tune in now to hear more of their take on what's in the land acknowledgment.
