NFL WEEK 2 IS HERE! 🔥 Bills-Lions Thriller + Jo Madden’s Best Bets & Upset Calls

NFL Week 2 is here—and after an offensive explosion in Week 1, Jo Madden says bettors need to be careful before chasing those inflated totals. On this episode of Madden On The Line, Jo Madden, Vice President of Sports Gaming Media at CrossCheck Media Inc., breaks down the Week 2 board, beginning with a blockbuster Thursday Night Football matchup between the Buffalo Bills and Detroit Lions. After NFL teams combined for a staggering 791 points in Week 1, Jo's warning is simple: don't confuse explosive offense with betting value. She explains why rapidly moving totals can leave bettors paying a premium for last week's results. Then it's time to attack the board. Jo breaks down Josh Allen, Jared Goff, Jahmyr Gibbs, Dalton Kincaid and the Bills-Lions prop market, before moving across the Week 2 slate with her angles on the Eagles-Titans, Steelers-Patriots, Vikings-Bears, Panthers-Falcons, Packers-Jets, Ravens-Saints, Bengals-Texans and more. 🔥 The lines have moved. Fed Hikes, AI Booms: Barbara Doran’s Q4 Investment Playbook

The Federal Reserve has raised rates, inflation remains stubborn, oil is volatile and questions about the massive AI investment boom are getting louder. So where does that leave investors heading into the final quarter of 2026? On this episode of The Money Path, host Todd M. Schoenberger sits down with Barbara Doran, CEO and CIO of BD8 Capital Partners, to break down the changing investment landscape. Doran explains why she believes another Fed rate hike could arrive before year-end, while arguing that strong employment, consumer spending and wealth creation continue to make a U.S. recession appear distant. She also discusses why earnings could become the critical driver for stocks in Q4 as market valuations have come down. The conversation turns to one of Wall Street's biggest debates: Is the AI spending boom sustainable? Doran says demand remains real, hyperscalers are still planning enormous capital expenditures, and supply constraints across memory and other critical components could persist for years. Todd and Barbara also examine $100+ oil and energy stocks, why she views much of the sector as a cyclical trade, and where she sees opportunities beyond technology—including healthcare, consumer discretionary and financials. Higher rates. AI billions. Oil volatility. Strong earnings. The Q4 investment playbook is changing. 🔗 Website: https://biztalktodaytv.com 📧 Contact on Email: support@biztalktodaytv.com 📲 Download the Biz Talk Today TV app on Apple & Android devices. 📢 Disclaimer: The views and opinions expressed on this program are those of the hosts and guests and do not necessarily reflect the official policy or position of CrossCheck Media Inc., Biz Talk Today TV (BTT), or their affiliated entities and distribution partners. $12.5 Billion Lakers Drama: Inside the Money, Power & Control Reshaping the NBA

Professional sports franchises are commanding Wall Street-sized valuations—but with billions of dollars at stake, ownership and governance are becoming just as important as what happens on the court. On this episode of Franchise Value, Shana Orczyk Sissel, CEO & Founder of Chicago-based Banríon Capital Management and author of Tough Minded, joins co-host Todd M. Schoenberger for a deep dive into the rapidly changing business of professional sports. At the center of the conversation is the Lakers transaction and its $12.5 billion valuation. Shana examines the potential implications of the Buss family's 17.8% tag-along rights, Jeanie Buss's position as governor and why an agreed transaction isn't necessarily the same thing as a completed transaction. Then it's across Los Angeles to the Clippers, where Shana examines the NBA's penalties, Steve Ballmer's shift from defiance to accepting responsibility, the significance of losing first-round draft picks and what previous league disciplinary cases could tell us about what happens next. The conversation expands into a much bigger issue: How involved should billionaire owners actually be in running their franchises? Shana explains why owners can influence culture and franchise value while still needing to surround themselves with experts—and why professional leagues are increasingly scrutinizing ownership structures, conflicts of interest and governance. Plus, could Seattle and Las Vegas be next for the NBA? Shana breaks down how leagues evaluate expansion, why media markets matter and whether adding franchises threatens—or potentially enhances—the scarcity value behind today's enormous sports valuations. And Shana previews her forthcoming book, Tough Minded, which combines personal stories with lessons in investing, behavioral finance, resilience and discovering the individual strengths that shape better decision-making. The money in sports has never been bigger. Now the rules governing that money are being tested. Your Data Isn’t Private: AI, Tracking & the New Privacy Risk

How much does corporate America really know about you—and what happens when artificial intelligence enters the equation? On this episode of The Money Path, host Todd M. Schoenberger sits down with Alex Proctor, Chief Trust & Privacy Officer at Captain Compliance, for a revealing conversation about the massive amounts of personal information consumers generate every day. Proctor explains how cookies, cross-site tracking, targeted advertising and sophisticated digital profiles can follow consumers across the internet—even when traditional tracking methods are restricted. He also breaks down what you're really agreeing to when you click “Accept All Cookies” and offers practical ways consumers can reduce unwanted tracking. Then the conversation turns to AI. What happens when an employee puts confidential customer information into an unauthorized AI platform? Proctor explains why that could potentially constitute a data breach, how autonomous AI agents introduce new opportunities for information to be improperly shared, and why businesses need guardrails before deploying these technologies. Todd and Alex also examine the important distinction between privacy and cybersecurity, the growing regulatory and litigation risks confronting businesses, and why even companies with excellent cybersecurity can still have dangerous privacy vulnerabilities. As AI becomes embedded throughout corporate America, one question is becoming increasingly difficult to ignore: Do companies really know where their data is going? 🔗 Website: https://biztalktodaytv.com 📧 Contact on Email: support@biztalktodaytv.com 📲 Download the Biz Talk Today TV app on Apple & Android devices. 📢 Disclaimer: The views and opinions expressed on this program are those of the hosts and guests and do not necessarily reflect the official policy or position of CrossCheck Media Inc., Biz Talk Today TV (BTT), or their affiliated entities and distribution partners. LSU vs. the SEC: Could College Football’s Biggest Money War Blow Up the Conference?

Could one of college football’s biggest brands actually be kicked out of the SEC—and what would that mean financially for LSU and the most powerful conference in college sports? On this episode of Franchise Value, Shana Orczyk Sissel, CEO and Founder of Chicago-based Banríon Capital Management and author of the forthcoming Tough Minded, joins co-host Todd M. Schoenberger to follow the money behind some of the biggest stories reshaping the business of sports. At the center of the conversation is the escalating confrontation between LSU and the SEC. Conference leaders are scheduled to meet Thursday to consider whether to expel LSU following the dispute over players who previously signed NFL contracts returning to college football. LSU ultimately filled its 105-player roster without the two former NFL signees at the center of the controversy, but SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey has indicated the broader membership dispute remains unresolved. Expulsion would require a two-thirds vote of SEC leaders. Todd and Shana debate the question Wall Street would ask: What is LSU's SEC membership actually worth? Shana argues that the SEC's enormous media-rights ecosystem makes leaving the conference an extraordinary financial risk. Todd challenges that thesis by asking whether the LSU brand could eventually monetize itself independently through its own media operation. Their disagreement becomes a larger discussion about whether the most powerful college athletic brands are becoming media companies in their own right. Then it's on to the Los Angeles Clippers, where the NBA imposed a $30 million fine, stripped the franchise of five consecutive first-round picks from 2029 through 2033 and suspended owner Steve Ballmer for a year following an investigation into salary-cap circumvention involving Kawhi Leonard. The Clippers reject the league's findings and plan to challenge the sanctions through arbitration. Shana and Todd examine a fascinating valuation question: What's more damaging to a multibillion-dollar franchise—the $30 million fine or losing five years of first-round draft capital? The conversation also turns to Roger Goodell, whose new four-season extension keeps him as NFL commissioner through the 2030 season and ends March 31, 2031—the same month the league's current collective bargaining agreement expires. That timing puts Goodell in position for another potentially transformative period involving labor negotiations, the possibility of an 18-game regular season and future media-rights negotiations. Finally, Franchise Value examines the economics behind NHL expansion and why adding a new franchise can create a fundamentally different financial outcome for existing owners than simply relocating a team. From conference membership and media rights to draft picks, franchise valuations and expansion fees, this episode asks the question at the heart of Franchise Value: What are sports' most valuable assets really worth—and what happens when the rules governing those assets suddenly change? 🔗 Website: https://biztalktodaytv.com 📧 Contact on Email: support@biztalktodaytv.com 📲 Download the Biz Talk Today TV app on Apple & Android devices. 📢 Disclaimer: The views and opinions expressed on this program are those of the hosts and guests and do not necessarily reflect the official policy or position of CrossCheck Media Inc., Biz Talk Today TV (BTT), or their affiliated entities and distribution partners. Fed Hikes Rates: Wall Street Now Faces the Next Big Question

The Federal Reserve is raising interest rates again. Now Wall Street wants to know how far Chairman Kevin Warsh is prepared to go. In this special report from Biz Talk Today TV’s Street Brief, host Todd M. Schoenberger breaks down the Federal Reserve’s decision to raise its benchmark interest rate by 25 basis points to a target range of 3.75%–4.00%—the central bank’s first rate hike since 2023. The unanimous decision comes as the Fed confronts a difficult combination: persistent inflation and an American economy that continues to demonstrate surprising strength. Todd examines the Fed’s new projections, including a higher 3.7% inflation forecast, expectations that inflation may not return to the central bank’s 2% target until 2029, and indications from policymakers that another rate increase could still be coming before year-end. But the economic data creates an intriguing contradiction. August retail sales surged 1.2%, while the Fed raised its economic-growth forecast to 2.3% and projected unemployment of 4.1%. Consumers continue spending and economic growth remains resilient—even as the Fed applies additional monetary restraint. So what happens next? Todd explains why the 25-basis-point hike may not be the biggest story for investors. Wall Street’s attention now turns to Chairman Warsh and whether today’s move represents a one-time adjustment—or the beginning of a broader tightening cycle. The Fed just raised rates. The next question could determine where markets go from here. Wall Street heads into a pivotal Federal Reserve decision with investors confronting a powerful combination of $100-plus oil, a 10-year Treasury yield near 5% and renewed pressure on technology and crypto. On the Tuesday, September 15 Closing Bell edition of Biz Talk Today TV’s Street Brief, host Todd M. Schoenberger breaks down the day’s market decline, including the Dow’s 331-point drop and the S&P 500’s nearly half-percent retreat. Todd examines the surge in crude oil, concerns surrounding Saudi energy supplies, and why higher energy prices could ripple through transportation, manufacturing and consumer inflation. He also looks ahead to the Federal Reserve’s Wednesday decision and what Chair Kevin Warsh’s comments could signal about the path of interest rates. AI, IRS Trouble & Year-End Tax Moves: Taxfyle CEO Ricky Lavina on What to Do Before December 31

Tax season may be over, but some of the most important tax decisions of the year are happening right now. On this episode of The Money Path, host Todd M. Schoenberger sits down with Ricky Lavina, CPA, Co-Founder and CEO of Taxfyle, to explain why September can be a critical planning window for taxpayers, investors and financial advisors. Lavina breaks down year-end strategies involving tax-loss and capital-gains harvesting, Roth IRAs, rental properties, retirement planning and business income. He also explains why paperwork-heavy strategies should be addressed early—and why taxpayers who have missed filings shouldn't wait for the IRS to come looking for them. The conversation also explores how artificial intelligence is transforming tax planning. Taxfyle's technology can analyze prior returns against dozens of potential strategies, but Lavina cautions that AI can still make mistakes—making professional judgment and validation essential. Plus, Lavina explains why we're entering what he calls a “golden age of the advisor,” where financial advisors can combine investments, taxes and AI-powered planning to provide clients with a more complete financial picture. And what happens if you haven't filed taxes in years? Lavina explains why there are paths forward—and why proactively addressing the IRS can be far better than waiting for the government to contact you. Miami Beach Fights Back: Mayor Steven Meiner on Crime, Flock Cameras & the City’s Future

Miami Beach is confronting a question cities across America are increasingly facing: How do you use technology to fight crime without sacrificing personal privacy? On this episode of Power Hour, host Todd M. Schoenberger sits down with Miami Beach Mayor Steven Meiner for a wide-ranging conversation about public safety, automated license-plate readers, tourism, housing, flooding and the future of one of America’s most recognizable destinations. Meiner explains why Miami Beach is exploring moving some license-plate readers onto voluntarily participating private properties following Florida’s directive affecting readers on state roads. He argues that the technology remains an important law-enforcement tool while describing the access controls and oversight he says Miami Beach uses to protect residents’ privacy. The conversation goes well beyond cameras. Meiner discusses the city’s Spring Break strategy, reports a 16% decline in major crime, and says Miami Beach has reached its lowest homeless population on record. He also points to nine consecutive months of increased resort-tax collections and strong hotel rates as signs of the city’s economic momentum. The Mayor addresses affordability and workforce housing, Miami Beach’s efforts to prepare for flooding and sea-level rise, privately owned seawalls, beach nourishment and the coming 800-room Grand Hyatt, which he believes could transform the economics of the Miami Beach Convention Center. And with businesses, professionals and young families continuing to move into the region, Schoenberger asks the bigger question: Can Miami Beach continue growing while preserving the quality of life that made people want to live there in the first place? Plus, Meiner previews another project he wants to discuss further: free water-taxi service connecting Miami Beach and Miami. NFL Week 1 Was CHAOS: George Kurtz & Jo Madden Reveal What Bettors Got Wrong

NFL Week 1 delivered chaos—and the biggest lesson wasn't simply that favorites lost. It was that the price mattered. On this episode of Madden On The Line, host Jo Madden, Vice President of Sports Gaming Media at CrossCheck Media Inc., welcomes George Kurtz of SportsGrid to separate legitimate Week 1 warning signs from the overreactions that could cost bettors money in Week 2. Arizona, the Giants and Jets delivered outright wins as underdogs, while Detroit, Philadelphia and Seattle won their games but failed to cover their respective spreads. As Madden explains, bettors could correctly predict which team would win and still make the wrong bet. Kurtz joins the show to examine what went wrong for the Los Angeles Chargers, why he's more concerned about their offense than one poor defensive performance, and what an 0-2 start could mean if they fail to rebound. The conversation then turns to his Dallas Cowboys, Dak Prescott's Week 1 performance and why Dallas' upcoming schedule makes its next game particularly important. Madden also goes Buy, Sell or Overreact, examining Baltimore's explosive start, Chicago's offense, Cincinnati's defense and a Minnesota final score she believes doesn't tell the complete story. Green Bay led Minnesota 22-10 late in the third quarter before the game flipped dramatically—exactly the kind of result that can distort how bettors approach the following week's lines. Then it's on to the early NFL Week 2 betting board: Lions-Bills, Bengals-Texans, Packers-Jets and 49ers-Dolphins. Which numbers deserve attention? Which teams could offer buy-low opportunities? And which spreads may already be too expensive? The message after one wild Sunday is simple: don't handicap the scoreboard—handicap the game. Mish Schneider: Record Copper, $100 Oil & the Warning Signal Hiding in Retail

Copper is hitting historic levels, oil remains a major inflation threat, retail stocks are struggling—and Mish Schneider says the divergence across markets may be telling investors something important. On this episode of Financial Compass, host Todd M. Schoenberger sits down with Mish Schneider, Founder of the Economic Modern Family and Chief Strategist for MarketGauge.com, to break down what commodities, consumers and key market sectors are signaling about the economy. Mish explains why the weakness in retail deserves attention even as biotech and semiconductors show relative strength. With consumers becoming increasingly selective about where they spend, could retail be an early warning that the broader economy isn't as strong beneath the surface as the headline numbers suggest? The conversation turns to commodities, where Mish discusses record copper prices, her outlook for oil potentially reaching $104–$105 per barrel, and one surprising inflation indicator investors rarely watch: sugar. Mish explains why sugar's move toward $0.21 per pound could provide another clue about where inflation is headed. Todd and Mish also examine the upcoming Federal Reserve meeting, the possibility of another shift in interest-rate policy, the proposed $5,000 payment to Americans, and whether additional government spending could ultimately influence inflation and financial markets. The episode closes on a deeply personal note as Mish recalls September 11, 2001, and how a last-minute change of plans kept her husband, Keith Schneider, from attending a conference at Windows on the World that morning. Copper. Oil. Inflation. The consumer. The Fed. Mish Schneider connects the signals Wall Street may be overlooking. Jim Bianco: America’s AI Data Center Backlash Is Missing the Bigger Picture

America’s AI boom is running into an increasingly powerful obstacle: Americans who don’t want massive data centers built in their communities. On The Money Path, host Todd M. Schoenberger asks Jim Bianco, President of Bianco Research, whether rising opposition to data centers could eventually slow U.S. AI investment and affect America’s position in the global technology race. Bianco argues that an important distinction is getting lost. Data centers have supported banking applications, cloud computing, streaming services and countless other digital products for years. While AI is now driving much of the industry's growth, Bianco believes today's backlash also reflects something deeper: public anxiety surrounding AI itself. His comments come as the issue moves rapidly into the national spotlight. An August 2026 Annenberg survey found 61% of U.S. adults opposed new data centers in their area, while New York has imposed a one-year moratorium on large new data centers amid concerns about electricity costs, water consumption and community impacts. Meanwhile, the EIA expects U.S. electricity consumption to reach record levels in both 2026 and 2027, with AI-intensive data centers contributing to rising demand. Is America confronting a legitimate infrastructure problem—or is fear of AI becoming part of the fight over the infrastructure that powers it?
