New Life LIVE: October 13, 2026

Caller Questions & Discussion: Becky discusses the quote she’s heard, “God’s call on your life is so bigger than your ability to miss it.” The seed never looks like the plant. If there’s something you’re struggling with and the plant hasn’t surfaced yet, take hope that God is still working. I’m a single mom of an 18-year-old daughter. She recently moved in with her boyfriend after his parents encouraged her to share an apartment with him. How do I handle her boyfriend pushing her around when

S3E8: Willpower Won’t Win This War | A Conversation with Dale Simons

If Jesus has already won, why does following him still feel like such a fight? Nathan McLean sits down with Dale Simons, Campus Pastor at Hillsong Melbourne East, to unpack his message This Means War. Dale shares the personal moment that sparked the message, and why he's convinced the fullness of life Jesus promises isn't taken without a fight. Together they talk honestly about the pull of old habits, the danger of a "half gospel", and why winning the war within has far less to do with trying harder than we think. ✨ Key Themes - The promise required a battle: what Israel entering the Promised Land teaches us about the promises of God. - Not trying harder: it's not a gospel of works, it's about feeding your spirit. - Look at Jesus, not the struggle: why old habits lose their pull in his presence. - Snacking vs feasting: a verse a day is good, but it isn't a meal. - Regularity, not religiosity: keeping rhythms with God when you don't feel it. - Repent, replace, refill: three rhythms for the war within. - The full gospel: forgiveness is the entry point, not the finish line. 📖 Scripture References - Galatians 5:16–17: the war between the Spirit and our sinful nature - John 16:7: Jesus says it's better that he goes, so the Holy Spirit can come - Romans 8:11: the Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead lives in us - James 4:8: draw near to God and he will draw near to you - John 10:10: the enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy; Jesus came to give life to the full 📚 Resources - Dale's message This Means War, the previous episode of the Hillsong Australia Podcast 🚶 Next Steps - Trade a snack for a feast: set aside unhurried time in the Word this week, ask God to speak, and dwell on it. - Pray beyond the wish list: spend part of your prayer time simply waiting on God. - Shift your focus: instead of fixating on the habit you're fighting, spend that energy looking at Jesus. - Find your people: read a passage with a friend and talk about what stands out. - Ask to be refilled: invite the Holy Spirit to fill you, every day. 🔗 Links 🌐 Learn more about Hillsong Australia: hillsong.com/australia 📍 Find a Hillsong Australia location near you: hillsong.com/australia 📲 Subscribe to the Hillsong Australia Podcast on your favourite platform and follow @hillsongaustralia Bringing Sunday into your everyday.

S3E7: This Means War | Dale Simons

There's a battle happening within each of us, between the life we want to live and the things that pull us away from God. But we haven't been left to fight that battle alone. In this message, Pastor Dale Simons explores the reality of our struggle with sin and the supernatural life God has made available to us through His Holy Spirit. The same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead lives in us, empowering us to bring the reality of God's Kingdom into our everyday lives. So how do we begin to win the war within? Through three rhythms: repent, replace and refill. Discover what it looks like to bring our hearts before God, fill our minds with His truth and allow the Holy Spirit to renew, fuel and empower us to live the life He has called us to. God has more for us than a life of simply going through the motions. It's time to move beyond religion and step into the Spirit-filled life He intended for us. Listen now and be encouraged to live from the victory Jesus has already won. 🌐 Learn more about Hillsong Australia: hillsong.com/australia 📍 Find a Hillsong Australia location near you: hillsong.com/australia 📲 Subscribe to the Hillsong Australia Podcast on your favourite platform and follow @hillsongaustralia Bringing Sunday into your everyday.

Didaché - A Real Miracle At Philip Anthony Mitchell's Access 2026?!?!

A teenage girl healed of deafness at an 80,000-person revival? When Philip Anthony Mitchell, pastor of 2819 Church in Atlanta, announced that she had removed her hearing aids at the Access event in Arlington, Texas, the claim spread fast, picked up by Malachi O'Brien and Charisma Magazine. Justin Peters has questions, starting with the wording of the post itself. Anyone helped by a hearing aid, he points out, was not completely deaf. He explains the difference between a psychosomatic healing, a temporary relief driven by adrenaline, expectation and emotion, and an organic healing that has no medical explanation. Peters credits Mitchell for preaching sin and repentance, but shows how his promise that every sick body could be healed puts him squarely in the charismatic camp. Along the way, Peters revisits John G. Lake's supposed healing of a deaf teenage girl, which the Spokane Press debunked. He also plays 1990s documentary clips of Benny Hinn showing how easily people are convinced they've been healed. Then he turns to Acts 3 and 4, where a man lame from birth walked, leaped and praised God, and even the Sanhedrin admitted they could not deny it. As a cessationist, Peters believes God still heals when it is his sovereign will. He also believes no one possesses the gift of healing today. This episode matters because it equips believers to test sensational miracle claims against Scripture rather than headlines. ➡️ Click here to find all of Justin’s essential links.
