Worthy People

Cody was born dead to a drug-addicted mother and as a result has scars all over his body to this day. He survived the projects, the foster care system, and life on the streets at 18 years old. At 20 years old in the Texas prison system, 3 years into his sentence he desired a new way of life. When he learned his worth in Jesus, it changed him and he never looked back. Now Cody and his wife lead a church and travel to prisons with the message to remove the labels of society by seeing and accepting all people as Jesus does. WEB: www.worthypeople.org MAIL: P.O. I Wish I Knew This Sooner...

CELEBRATE WITH US OUR BOOK LAUNCH WITH A LIVE RECORDING! THE NEW BOOK AUTOMATIC BLESSINGS: DISCOVERING THE LIFE GOD DESIGNED YOU TO LIVE IS NOW AVAILABLE ON TUESDAY, OCTOBER 6TH! ORDER ON AMAZON TO GET IT IN 2 DAYS! IT IS OUR PRAYER THAT YOU CAN GRAB THIS BOOK AND THAT IT HELPS YOU IN YOUR LIFE AS CODY SHARES ABOUT LIFE, PRISON, RE-ENTRY, AND HOW GOD TOOK HIM FURTHER THAN HE EVER IMAGINED AND CAN DO SO FOR YOU AS WELL! HEAR FROM PEOPLE WHO HAVE READ THE BOOK AND THE STORY AND THE HEART BEHIND IT AS WE SHARE INTERVIEWS AND CONVERSATIONS. What if the way God works in our lives is not as mysterious as we think? What if He has already built a system, a divine blueprint, that responds to our choices and obedience in ways we can actually understand and walk in? That is the heart of what we explore in this conversation around the book Automatic Blessings. Drawing from the world of business automation, we discover a striking parallel: just as a business system responds predictably when certain triggers are activated, God's Word is filled with over 500 if-then promises that operate the same way. If we do this, He will do that. The sun rises every morning without fail. The tides move without being told. And in the same way, when we align our lives with the principles God has already laid out, blessings are not something we chase. They are something we walk into. This is not a prosperity shortcut. It is a call to action, to pull the triggers God has placed in front of us through obedience, faith, forgiveness, and community. The message challenges us to stop waiting on God to do something and to recognize that He is waiting on us to step into the system He has already designed for our good.

    Why Do People Lie?

The final conversation in our deliverance series with Pastor Aaron! We have completed 16 episodes of the 16 strongholds and the deliverance we can find in Christ! What if the biggest lies we face are not the ones others tell us, but the ones we tell ourselves? This conversation digs into the spirit of lying and uncovers how deeply deception can take root in our minds, our relationships, and our sense of identity. We explore how self-deception works against us when the way we see ourselves does not line up with what God says about us. From exaggerating stories to win acceptance to carrying false guilt and shame that cheapens the work of the cross, the spirit of lying operates in far more areas of our lives than we might expect. The message is clear: anything hidden in darkness belongs to the enemy, and exposing those lies is not just an act of courage; it is a biblical mandate. We are reminded that Jesus identified the enemy as the father of all lies, meaning every accusation, every whispered suggestion that we are not worthy or free or capable, originates from a source that cannot speak truth. When we begin to align our declarations about ourselves with what God actually says, the bar rises, our identity shifts, and the enemy loses his grip. This is an invitation to stop agreeing with the lies and start standing in the truth of who we really are.

    Praying For Protection

What does it look like when hope finds you in the last place you expect it? This conversation takes us deep into that question, exploring how a scrap of paper on a law library floor became the beginning of a life transformed. The passage from Jeremiah 29 -- where God promises thoughts of peace, a future, and a hope to those who seek Him wholeheartedly -- anchors the entire discussion. It is a reminder that God's plans for us are not canceled by our worst decisions or our hardest seasons. Whether we are in a place of physical confinement or an internal prison of fear and doubt, the message is the same: God has always been at work, even when we could not see it. We are challenged to look back at the moments we survived, the news we thought would break us, and recognize the hand of God moving through all of it. Hope, as the Bible tells us in Romans 5, does not disappoint. Faith, as Hebrews 11 describes, is the substance of things not yet seen. Together, these truths form an anchor for anyone who feels like the walls are closing in.

    I Wrote A Book!

I AM SUPER EXCITED TO SHARE WITH YOU ABOUT MY BRAND NEW BOOK! AUTOMATIC BLESSINGS: DISCOVERING THE LIFE GOD CALLED YOU TO LIVE Julia and Cody discuss the new book and how it came to be, as well as the story behind the book. You can pre-order now, and the book releases on October 6th! Automatic Blessings Book P.O. Box 120162 San Antonio, Texas 78212 What if the blessings of God were never random to begin with? That question sits at the heart of a powerful message that challenges the way we think about God's provision in our lives. So many of us have felt the sting of wondering why some people seem to receive blessing after blessing while we feel stuck, doing everything right and still waiting. This message tackles that frustration head-on by pointing us to something hiding in plain sight throughout Scripture: hundreds of if-then statements woven through both the Old and New Testaments. These are not coincidences. They are triggers, a spiritual system God has already set in motion. The Bible makes clear in passages like Hebrews 11 that God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him, and that His plans for us are rooted in good and not harm, as we see in Jeremiah 29. When we begin to understand that God operates through a consistent, trustworthy system rather than random favor, it transforms how we read Scripture and how we live our faith. We stop begging and start aligning. We stop striving and start walking in what has already been prepared for us. This is not a message about getting rich or bypassing hardship. It is about understanding the faithful nature of a God who watches over His Word to perform it in our lives.

Can Christians Listen To Rap Music? with Brother Bo

What if the music we listen to is doing more than setting a mood? What if it is actually shaping the battlefield of our minds? This conversation cuts straight to the heart of a struggle that so many of us know but rarely talk about openly. We explore how the things we allow into our ears and our hearts can either anchor us to old patterns of destruction or lift us toward genuine freedom. Drawing on the story of Naaman from 2 Kings 5, where a man nearly walked away from his healing because God did not move the way he expected, we are reminded that surrender and humility are not signs of weakness. They are the very doorway to transformation. The message is clear: we cannot fight a spiritual battle with natural weapons. When we are honest enough to admit we do not have all the answers, and humble enough to follow even the suggestions we do not fully understand yet, we open ourselves to the kind of change that no program, no person, and no amount of willpower can produce on its own. This is an invitation to examine what we are feeding our minds daily and ask ourselves whether those things are pulling us toward life or quietly pulling us back toward the places we are trying to leave behind.

Former Dope Dealer Offers Hope Through Transitional Program

What does it look like when God opens a door that no human hand can shut? This conversation takes us deep into that question through the lens of radical transformation, community, and the kind of love that refuses to give up on broken people. We hear the raw story of a man who hit absolute bottom, living in a suburban outside a travel trailer, consumed by addiction, and silently begging God to let him die. What happened next was not a slow fade into recovery. It was a collision with the living Christ that changed everything. The spiritual lesson here is one we cannot afford to miss: surrender is not weakness. It is the doorway to the most powerful life imaginable. The image of a man making a desperate deal with a God he was not even sure was real, and then walking in radical obedience anyway, mirrors the biblical truth found in James chapter 4 that when we draw near to God, He draws near to us. We also wrestle with what it means to be a river rather than a pond. Living water, as described in the Gospel of John chapter 7, is meant to flow outward. When men and women who have encountered Christ in the most desperate places begin pouring that out into their communities, something extraordinary happens. Revival does not always start in a cathedral. Sometimes it starts in a maximum security prison on lockdown.

You Got Jesus Christ Tattooed On Your Face?

What happens when we are so broken, so lost, and so overwhelmed by darkness that we cannot find our way back to ourselves? This conversation digs into that very place, the bottom, where fear, paranoia, and spiritual warfare collide, and reveals how one name became the anchor that held everything together. We explore the raw, unfiltered reality of spiritual battle and what it truly means to call on the name of Jesus, not as a religious formality, but as a desperate, life-saving cry. The central truth drawn from the promise found in Romans 10:13, that all who call on the name of the Lord will be saved, is not treated as a distant theological concept here. It becomes personal, immediate, and alive. We are reminded that calling on that name is not a sign of weakness but the most powerful act of faith we can perform. If we have ever felt like the darkness was louder than God, this message is for us.

    What's Your Problem?

What do you do when everything seems to fall apart at once? A leaking roof, a car accident, a sick parent, and the loss of a beloved companion — all within the same week. Life has a way of stacking hardships on top of each other, and the weight of it all can push us toward bitterness, depression, and a spirit of criticism that quietly poisons everything we see. This episode takes an honest, unfiltered look at what it means to keep going when the storms refuse to let up. The central truth we explore is this: gratitude is not just a nice feeling — it is a spiritual weapon. When we choose to look for what we still have instead of fixating on what we have lost, something shifts inside us. Healing begins. Perspective returns. And the grip of bitterness starts to loosen. Drawing from Paul's letter to the Ephesians, we are reminded that the peace of God is not a reward for easy circumstances — it is a gift available to us in the middle of the hardest ones. If you are going through something right now that feels too heavy to carry, this message is for you.

    Being Still With WhatUpRG

What does it mean to truly be still? In a world that rewards hustle and constant motion, the ancient call to stillness can feel almost countercultural. Yet that is exactly where this conversation leads us. Drawing from Exodus 34:6, we are reminded that the God we are invited to know is not a distant, demanding force but a compassionate, gracious, and patient God who abounds in love. The profound truth here is that stillness is not passivity. It is an act of trust. When we stop running on the wheel, when we stop trying to pull every string and force every door open, we create space for God to move. And when God moves, things come together in ways our frantic efforts never could have produced. For anyone who has ever felt forgotten, overlooked, or stuck in a season that seems to have no end, this message speaks directly to that place. There is a God who is very much alive, very much aware of where we are, and very much in love with us right now, not after we get it together, but right now.

    Stay Plugged In

This powerful testimony reveals the transformative journey from a life defined by prison walls to one anchored in Christ's redemptive love. We witness a raw and honest account of someone who spent nearly two decades incarcerated, believing their gang identity was who they truly were. The turning point came through a Kairos prison ministry weekend, where the presence of God broke through years of hardened living. What makes this story particularly compelling is the emphasis on staying plugged in—connected to a church body, accountability partners, and daily time with God. Like a refrigerator that keeps food fresh only when connected to power, our spiritual lives remain vibrant only when we maintain that vital connection to our Source. The metaphor reminds us that we can have all the right intentions and even good spiritual experiences, but without staying plugged into God's presence through His Word, prayer, and community, everything in our lives begins to spoil. This testimony challenges us to examine our own spiritual connections and asks the critical question: Are we truly plugged in, or are we running on fading power from a past encounter?

    40X Felon

*40X Felon* is not a redemption story you *expect*—it’s one you *survive*. From K2-soaked prison cells and knife-filled yards to trafficking drugs inside institutions and stacking felonies faster than most people stack regrets, Corey Gordon’s life reads like a warning label. Seventeen adult felonies by 17. Flooding prisons with narcotics. First-degree escape charges. Prosecutors pushing for 30 years. A mind addicted, a body deteriorating, and a soul running hard from God. But then—alone in solitary confinement, shaking, desperate, and out of distractions—everything changed. In a cell where death had already whispered his name, Corey encountered a living God who asked a single question that shattered his resistance: “How long will you run from Me?” What followed wasn’t jailhouse religion—it was total surrender. Chains broke. Addiction lost its grip. And a man the system had written off began to be rebuilt from the inside out. *40X Felon* is raw, unsettling, and brutally honest—but it doesn’t end in darkness. It ends with hope forged in fire: a transformed heart, a restored family, a pastor called out of prison, and proof that no sentence is stronger than grace. If you think you’ve gone too far… If your past feels louder than your future… If prison, addiction, or failure feels final… This episode of the *Worthy People Godcast* will challenge everything you believe about redemption—and remind you that God still meets people in the lowest places. Don’t miss the God thing for some good thing.

Movies & Music: Rest or Entertainment?

In this episode of the Worthy People Godcast, host Cody is joined by returning guest Ernesto as they dig into a powerful question: is what we call “rest” actually rest, or just entertainment? Together, they challenge the hustle mindset and the idea that zoning out with movies or music equals true rest, especially for those in ministry and in the prison environment. Drawing from Scripture, they unpack God’s design for rest as reflection, surrender, and trusting in His finished work—not striving or control. The conversation gets deeply personal as Cody shares his conviction to step back from prison tours in 2026 to embrace a season of rest and family, modeling what it looks like to care for the “temple of the Holy Spirit.”
