True Crime Reality

iHeartPodcasts

Truth is stranger than fiction...and reality tv stars know this better than anyone. They are personally intertwined with the world’s most extraordinary happenings, mysterious people and bizarre crimes than anyone else.

The truth is, while being a reality star and putting their lives out there does have its perks, it also makes them an easy target and more susceptible to criminal behavior.

That’s why so many reality stars have a story…it happened to them, their friend, their family…a house break-in, a hostage situation, adultery, kidnapping, armed robbery, financial scams, paternity fraud, identity theft and even murder.

Each week on the ‘True Crime - Reality’ Caelynn Miller-Keyes (Bachelor) will be joined by a reality star as they dive deep into the details of a crime they have a direct connection to. The who, the what, the why and the what ‘were they thinking?!’

True Crime and all it’s darkest secrets, are about to get a taste of reality.

Indiana Governor To Decide Fate Of Man Facing Execution For Murdering Two Children By Fire

This week an Indiana parole board has pleaded with Governor Mike Braun to uphold the death sentence of 50-year-old Jeffrey Weisheit. Weisheit was convicted for the 2010 brutal killings of his then girlfriend’s two children ages 5 and 8. The details are excruciating, including the fact that Weisheit tied up 5-year-old Caleb Lynch after arguing with him, and placed a railroad flare in his underwear and underneath his body, before setting the home on fire with 8-year-old Alyssa hiding in the closet. Both children died in the fire, but there is an unlikely supporter of commuting Weisheit’s execution to life in prison: the children’s father. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Serial Killer Ted Bundy Linked To Another Brutal Murder Of Utah Teenager

Utah officials have announced that DNA has connected serial killer Ted Bundy to the death of an Utah teenager more than 50 years after her naked body was discovered in the woods by a hunter. New technology has finally solved the 1974 brutal murder and sexual assault of 17-year-old Melissa Ann Smith. Smith is the second woman this year investigators have been able to tie to Bundy, who admitted to killing at least 30 women and girls across seven states in the 1970s. Bundy was executed in 1989 for the murders of two sorority sisters at Florida State University, but officials believe he is likely responsible for dozens of other missing women. There is renewed hope now that this new technology may lead to more answers for other victims’ families. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

UPDATE: Unsealed Records Reveal Jaw-Dropping Evidence In “The People’s Court” Murder Investigation

15 years after 33-year-old mother of three, Michelle Parker went missing, a newly unsealed affidavit reveals just how much damning evidence police have amassed against Parker’s ex-fiancee, Dale Smith Jr. Parker went missing within an hour of their “The People’s Court” episode, where a judge ruled that both parties should split the cost of a missing engagement ring. While Parker’s body has never been found, police now have incriminating cellphone records, text messages, and a lengthy criminal history of domestic violence by Smith that have many asking why it took so long for police to make an arrest. “Maxxing”: The Word Of The Year (At Least It’s Better Than "6-7?")

Dictionary.com’s Word of the Year is one that we’ve all heard, read, and yes, sometimes even used in varying situations. “Maxxing” is a word that refers to the practice of pursuing an activity to the fullest, or optimizing a certain aspect of your life. It can be used on its own, but it’s often used with a word ahead of it making it work in just about any scenario. While looksmaxxing may be the most well known application, it can be used throughout the day: you can be proteinmaxxing your breakfast, tokenmaxxing AI during your workday, and then end with cozymaxxing at night. Parents Say Police Called To Youth Soccer Game Because 3-Year-Old Black Boy “Too Good”

The latest online controversy is heartbreaking, namely because there is a super talented, 3-year-old little boy in the middle of it. Nevada Pierre has a huge and growing social media presence because he’s got game; the videos posted show a toddler phenom on the soccer field and that’s what his parents say got other parents upset at a youth soccer game over the weekend. The sports organizer ultimately called 9-1-1 on the parents - admittedly not for an emergency - but because he claimed the mom was “unruly” after complaining her son was taken out of the game because he was “too good.” The highlight of this story: the cops, whose body cam footage shows officers who were there to protect and serve everyone that day.
