She tried keto, Weight Watchers, fasting, carb cycling, and just about every diet you can imagine. And when she went to her doctors for help, she kept hearing the same advice. "Eat less, move more." She was even told that gaining weight was simply part of getting older and going through menopause. At 56, Amy was starting to believe that maybe this was just how life was going to be. Until she decided to give herself another chance. Fast-forward 6 months, and Amy has lost 20 lbs, gone from a size 12 to a size 4, and completely transformed her confidence, strength, and relationship with food! But what makes her story so powerful is everything that changed beyond the scale. In today's episode of the Tandem Talk Show, I sit down with Amy to talk about: Why 10 years of dieting and exercising never gave her the results she wanted. How personalized nutrition and progressive strength training helped her finally change her body composition. What she learned about weight fluctuations, calories, and eating without feeling deprived. How working with Coach Lee helped her overcome emotional eating and build healthier habits. Why losing 20 lbs gave her the confidence to pursue opportunities she once thought were out of reach. The improvements in her health and why she feels better now than she has in years. Amy also shares something I absolutely LOVE about her experience. For years, she could appear confident on the outside while struggling with how she felt about herself on the inside. Today, she's proudly wearing sleeveless shirts, inspiring other women at her gym, and excited about what comes next! And perhaps my favorite part of this conversation is what Amy says about the support she received from our coaching team and the family she found within Tandem. If you're a woman in your 40s, 50s, or beyond who's struggling with menopause, stubborn weight gain, or feeling like nothing works anymore, I really believe you'll get a lot out of Amy's story. I hope this episode gives you some encouragement and reminds you that your age doesn't have to determine what's possible for your health and fitness. Enjoy the episode!
