That being said, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives consistently shows a pattern where Dakota appears to instigate these moments. It’s easy to sit back and judge what either of them “should have done,” but throughout this episode, I make a conscious effort to hold a more nuanced perspective. From what I see energetically, Taylor is caught in a toxic, emotionally abusive cycle that she’s struggling to break out of on her own. There are repeated patterns of Dakota undermining her wins, pulling her back into chaos, and creating emotional instability, whether that’s through crossing boundaries with people close to her or inserting himself into her life in ways that keep her activated. I truly believe she’s operating from a constant fight-or-flight state and, at times, doesn’t have the capacity to fully protect herself. And when you look at their soul contracts side by side… it’s telling. The numerology reveals a dynamic where Dakota carries strong “actor” energy, someone who can present one way while operating very differently underneath, often rooted in his own sense of righteousness.
