    #73 - From a 4.55 MARATHON to 8 x SUB THREE while striving for A MORE DIVERSE environment W/ Marcus Brown

    On this week’s episode of Gone Running, Ben Sheppard speaks to Marcus Brown, co-founder of the 1% running club. Marcus, who ran his first marathon in 4.55, has become an 8 x sub-three runner over 26.2 and has earned himself the mythical six-star medal. Having for many years been on good for age start lines feeling as though there aren’t many people from similar backgrounds doing the same thing, he co-founded the 1% running club as a way to promote diversity and not only get people into the sport but competing at a performance level for their ability. In this conversation Ben and Marcus delve into those lessons running teaches you, not only on the road but in life, how running a 100-mile week lead to a 5K PB and also touch on some of the stats for the inclusion rates at the London marathon, something which he hopes to be a leading force in changing in the future.     #72 - European SILVER MEDALIST is going for HYROX WORLD RECORD! W/ Holly Archer

Holly, who picked up that medal in the 1500m’s indoors in 2021 has been running since her formative years when a race in school led to her joining a club (it’s an amazing story) and ultimately to America where she was part of the NCAA system. Following college and yet to be approached for a pro contract Holly who was competing still on an elite level approached her employer who supported her to go on a training camp in Flagstaff while continuing in full-time work. Michael is an endurance athlete who completed 32 Ironman 70.3s in 32 days, one for every county in Ireland. At 18, Michael went through an incredibly tough period and at times, didn’t want to be here. Jack is a runner and personal trainer who has been incredibly open with the challenges he has faced over the years in terms of his battles with his mental health and disordered eating. Jack, who is a transgender male also faces many other challenges in the athletic world from balancing his performance with his testosterone shots to accepting his times are now going to be slightly different running in the male category having begun transitioning at the age of 25.     Episode 61 - Alice Hadfield

    On this week's episode of ‘Gone Running’, Alice Hadfield. Alice, is a fitness and running content creator who has inspired many through her authentic and real content. It was this authenticity that led to a reel on her instagram being viewed nearly 10 million times, skyrocketing her account from a few thousand to over a 100K in the matter of a week, changing her life. Having always been inspired to run by her Dad, who himself is an ultra runner, Alice has dabbled with running over the years. However, following a car accident that ultimately lead her to need some time away from the gym she began to really commit to her running journey and has just completed her first half marathon race. In this conversation hear why Alice thinks it was letting go of judgment that changed her life on social media and in running, why the race at the end of a training block is a victory lap and how it heals her heart to now be able to run with her dad, something she once felt was impossible.     On this week's episode of 'Gone Running', Ben welcomes George Scholey! George has just broken the World Record for the most amount of Rubik’s cubes solved while running a marathon. He managed 520 in the 26.2 miles crossing the line in a time of 4.24. An incredible personal achievement, yes, but also a celebration of the cube that has taught George so many lessons over the years in this its 50th year.     Episode 58 - Kevin Hansen
