Charlie Kirk’s Assassination and The War on Reality
Send us Fan Mail GUEST: FRANK TUREK, mentor to Charlie Kirk and author of The War on Reality—Recovering Truth in a World that Celebrates Lies It was almost one year ago—Wednesday, September 10, 2025—that Christian and conservative leader Charlie Kirk, just 31-years-old, walked into an outdoor amphitheater at Utah Valley University to hold a question-and-answer event with thousands of college students. The crowd was buzzing with anticipation. Charlie would be taking any and all questions, typically inviting those who disagreed to come to the front of the line as he advocated for the biblical worldview and conservative values. Countless videos show him doing this all over the country—conversing and debating the prominent issues of our day: abortion, gender, marriage, sexuality, economics, and politics. Charlie was one of the most well-known and influential conservative in the world. Just minutes into the event, a shot rang out from a rooftop sniper position, fatally striking Charlie in the neck. Mayhem ensued as he was pulled into a nearby vehicle and rushed to the hospital. Despite the doctors’ best efforts, Charlie Kirk died—assassinated by Tyler Robinson, a leftist who hated Charlie’s worldview. Standing within 25 feet of Charlie when he was shot was well-known Christian apologist Frank Turek. Frank was one of Charlie’s mentors and had helped him learn how to give reasonable, biblical answers to the questions he fielded. Covid, Charlie Kirk, and the Battle for Truth
Send us Fan Mail GUEST: STEVE DEACE, host of the “Steve Deace Show” and a columnist for Blaze Media From the very beginning, the souls of men have been the target of a mostly unseen spiritual war. On one side stands the fallen angel Satan and the legions of demons who followed him in rebellion against God. On the other stands the perfectly holy and good God and His holy angels. The first glimpse of this war appears in the Garden of Eden. There Satan, appearing as a beautiful serpent, tempted Adam and Eve to reject God. He lied, telling them that eating from the forbidden tree would not lead to death but would make them like God, “knowing good and evil.” The primary descriptor of Satan is that he is a liar. He relentlessly and maliciously twists the truth to lead men and women astray—and ultimately to destroy them. If he can persuade someone to believe a lie—any lie—that results in their deception and death before they repent and come to saving faith in Christ, that is a victory for him. Whether the unsaved realize it or not, Satan often works through people—including nice-sounding, well-dressed, educated individuals in prominent positions—to twist the truth and lead others astray. For Christians, the ability to discern between what is true and what is false is critical. Jesus warned that as we near the end times, this discernment will only become more difficult: “For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect” (Matthew 24:24). A recent period that dramatically illustrated the need for discernment was the COVID pandemic of 2020–2022. In rapid succession, masking was urged and then mandated for everyone, including children. Later in 2020, a vaccine was released under Emergency Use Authorization as part of “Operation Warp Speed.” Young and old, including pregnant women, were expected—often through intimidation or shame—to receive an injection with no long-term history and very limited testing. For two years the country took on authoritarian characteristics. Families were barred from visiting loved ones in hospitals and care facilities. Schools, businesses, and churches were ordered closed. Citizens and members of the military lost their jobs for refusing the vaccine. Many reported that loved ones died or were injured after receiving it. It was a dark time in America—not only because of the deaths of those vulnerable to the virus, but because large portions of the population accepted and promoted falsehoods. The six-foot social-distancing guideline proved to be arbitrary. Masks were not effective at stopping transmission or contraction of the virus. And the vaccine, along with its many boosters, did not prevent people from getting COVID or spreading it to others. As the virus moved through the population, one reality became clear: the vast majority of people were not dying from it. A relatively small minority recognized the fallacies advanced by government officials, political leaders, health authorities, the media, major institutions, and even many Christian organizations, prominent leaders, and churches. They pushed back against the deception. One of those voices was Steve Deace, a radio host for Blaze Media and best-selling co-author of Faucian Bargain: The Most Powerful and Dangerous Bureaucrat in American History. He joins us this weekend on The Christian Worldview to revisit the COVID era and discuss why Christians must become far more discerning. Knowing God by Name
Send us Fan Mail GUEST: PASTOR MATT MORRELL, Fourth Baptist Church in Plymouth, MN It’s been said that the most important thing about a person is what they think when they think about God. In other words, the more accurate our understanding of who God is—and the more willing we are to obey Him—the more we will think and live as God intends, for His glory and our good. Creation is God’s general revelation to all people. Romans 1:20 says, “For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been cle1arly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.” Simply by looking at the world and the universe around us, every person everywhere knows that a magnificent, powerful, supernatural God exists. No one has an excuse for unbelief—He is clearly seen through creation. An atheist or agnostic is simply suppressing the truth because of a desire for unrighteousness. But general revelation through creation does not reveal the infinitely rich tapestry of God’s nature and ways. It does not show us how sinners can be restored to a right relationship with Him. For that we need special revelation—the Word of God, which He supernaturally inspired men to write. Every page of the Bible reveals who God is: His stated will, His interaction with mankind, and His holiness and justice perfectly balanced with His compassion and mercy. One of the most instructive ways God reveals Himself in His Word is through His many names—about twenty or more. Some He established for Himself; others He inspired men to ascribe to Him. Names such as Yahweh, Elohim, and Adonai, along with compound forms like El Shaddai, Yahweh Shalom, and Yahweh Jireh, sharpen the believer’s understanding of who God is and how He works. There is much going on in our country and in the world right now. But what could be more important than focusing on the One who created it all and who is in control of it all—the self-existent, eternal, triune Yahweh Elohim? Our guest today is Matt Morrell, pastor of Fourth Baptist Church and president of Central Seminary in Plymouth, Minnesota. He has been preaching a summer sermon series on the names of God and how Christians can anchor their faith and hope in Him. The Christian Call to Be Salt and Light No Matter Our Societal Moment
Send us Fan Mail Jesus commanded His followers to be “the salt of the earth” and “the light of the world.” While this familiar phrase is often reduced to simply being kind or positive, Jesus intended something far more consequential. In Matthew 5, immediately after describing the character of true believers in the Beatitudes—and warning that they would face persecution, insults, and false accusations—Jesus called them to live in a way that would be clearly noticed by the world. Salt preserves what would otherwise decay, while light exposes darkness and shows the way. Likewise, Christians are called to preserve what is good and godly and to proclaim the light of the gospel and biblical truth. But when believers compromise and become indistinguishable from the world, their influence is weakened. As America grows increasingly dark spiritually and morally through false religion, destructive political ideologies, and rebellion against God’s design, the need for faithful Christians has never been greater. Hope is not lost, for God remains sovereign—but believers must be clear-eyed, courageous, and intentional about honoring Christ through their words, conduct, and convictions. This week’s program examines what Jesus truly meant when He called Christians to be salt and light—and how believers can faithfully fulfill that calling in an increasingly hostile world. The U.S. and Israel are in an intractable war with Iran. Turkey has signed a military cooperation agreement and are planning military exercises with Egypt. President Trump recently met with and spoke favorably of Turkish president and strongman Recep Erdogan and is considering selling U.S. F-35 fighter jets to the country. And the super-sign of the end times—the state of Israel—continues to be at the forefront of the news and the focal point of hatred in the world. Our guest, Todd Hampson, author and host of the Prophecy Pros Podcast, calls this “stage setting.” In other words, the rapture of the church, the invasion by Gog and Magog into Israel, the peace treaty with Israel by the Antichrist, and the rest of the events the Bible predicts for the end of the end times, have not occurred yet but the stage is being set. Last week in Part 1, Todd explained the three main views of biblical prophecy (premillennialism, postmillennialism, and amillennialism) and how he believes the premillennial view is most consistent using a literal, grammatical, historical reading of Scripture. Understanding Current Events in the Middle East through the Lens of Biblical Prophecy—Part 1
Send us Fan Mail GUEST: Todd Hampson, author, Non-Prophets Guide Series Consider this: Nearly 30% of the Bible deals with prophetic or future events. A majority of the prophecies in Scripture have already come to pass but there is plenty of prophecy that is yet to be fulfilled. Fulfilled prophecy is one of the greatest evidences that God is trustworthy and His Word is true. Consider Old Testament prophecies about the coming of the Messiah, Jesus Christ—that He would be born of a virgin, in Bethlehem, make an escape to Egypt, be rejected by His own people, betrayed by a friend, crucified with sinners, no bones broken, have His side pierced, and rise from the dead, to name just a few that have were precisely fulfilled. Realizing this should strengthen the believer’s faith in the sovereign God who controls the past, present, and future according to His perfect plan. And yet with the high number and perfect accuracy of fulfilled prophecies, it is odd that many churches tend to avoid the subject. It is said that addressing prophecy is complicated and not concrete, that there are many different interpretations, that prophecy is a secondary and potentially divisive issue, or that people have more relevant needs in the here and now. God intentionally filled His Word with prophecy so that believers would know what is coming, yes, but even more, so that we would praise and worship God for His power and plan. While God’s Word doesn’t include every detail we may want about the future, it reveals plenty for the one who diligently studies the Bible and learns under a preacher who “accurately handles the word of truth.” We are living in a time when some of the yet-to-be-fulfilled prophecies are taking shape. The nation of Israel, after being scattered from their promised homeland for nearly 2000 years, is now living there again. That in itself is a fulfillment of biblical prophecy (Isaiah 11:11; Ezekiel 11:17). But there is more to come—a seven-year period of world tribulation, the rise of a world leader called the Antichrist, the rapture of church-age believers, and the return of Jesus Christ to judge and reign on earth for 1000 years. Now, some believers would dispute this “pre-millennial” view of biblical prophecy. They don’t see ethnic Israel as significant in the future. They don’t see a 1000-year literal reign of Christ on earth but rather a spiritual reign right now or in the future. So how can we know what is to come? This weekend in part one of our two-week series, Todd Hampson, co-host of the Prophecy Pros Podcast and author of many books on prophecy, will join to us to lay the groundwork on understanding biblical prophecy. America 250: Where Will Our Nation Go From Here?
Send us Fan Mail Guest: Ed Vitagliano, Executive Vice President, American Family Association America as an independent, sovereign nation is now 250 years old. The founders of our nation, who were mostly Christians or were in large measure influenced by Christianity, brilliantly wrote and adopted our nation’s founding and guiding documents—the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776 and the US Constitution, the supreme law of our land on Sept 17, 1789. The founders understood from studying Scripture and history that separation of power is necessary to avoid tyranny and individual liberties, bound by personal restraint, are God’s intent for a flourishing society. They were right. For about 200 years, America grew, developed, and course-corrected into one of the greatest empires in human history—militarily, economically, culturally, and yes, spiritually. The pulpit of Christian churches influenced the majority of our citizens through proclaiming biblical truth and the gospel. Generally speaking, our people and institutions largely revered God and His Word. But as with all nations throughout history before us, including God’s own people the Jews, the hearts of our people began to wander and be seduced from reverence of the Creator. The Christian worldview that pervaded our land now has been replaced by a man-centered ethic where “every man does what is right in his own eyes.” We are now at the point where right is called wrong and wrong is called right. So where will America go from its 250 anniversary—deeper into sin and societal collapse or repentance and revival? What do Christians need to understand about our situation and what should they be doing? Ed Vitagliano is our guest this weekend to help answer these questions. Ed is the executive vice president of American Family Association (AFA) and the longtime co-host of Today’s Issues radio program on American Family Radio Network. Commemorating Independence Day 1776-2026
Send us Fan Mail A nation and world altering event took place on July 4, 1776 in Philadelphia when 56 representatives of 13 British colonies signed the Declaration of Independence from Great Britain. The Declaration is America’s original founding document and is “the most consequential enumeration of the fundamental and unalienable Rights of Mankind as irrevocably endowed by our Creator.” Today in a special Independence Day program, we’re going to commemorate this bold act that altered our nation from being yet another British colony under the King and Church of England. Instead, America became a Constitutional Republic that separates power from the dictates of one king into branches of government and elected representatives of the people. We will examine what led to the Declaration of Independence and the impact it made on America, even to this day. The Bible says, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord” (Psalm 33). While this specifically refers to Israel, there is general blessing for any nation that reveres and obeys God. God has greatly blessed America. The question going forward as we increasingly rebel against Him is: Will America repent and honor God?

Denying Man’s Sin Makes the Only Remedy Unnecessary
Send us Fan Mail Guest: Dr. George Barna, Director of Research, Cultural Research Center, Arizona Christian University The Bible says that in the time of the judges in Israel, “every man did what was right in his own eyes” (Judges 17:6). That is another way of saying the people were flagrantly breaking God’s laws and rationalizing their sin. Scripture is clear that all men and women are sinners by nature and by choice. For example, Romans 3 says:“for we have already charged that both Jews and Greeks are all under sin; as it is written, “There is none righteous, not even one; There is none who understands, There is none who seeks for God; All have turned aside, together they have become useless; There is none who does good, There is not even one” (Romans 3:9-12). Considering all the hate, murder, lying, lusting, stealing, coveting, envying, immorality, blasphemy, oppression, and much more that marks our world, it may seem surprising that Americans don’t see themselves as sinners but as basically good, and thus, do what is right in their own eyes. In a recent survey released by George Barna, Director of Research at the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University, “only half of all American adults (52%) believe that everyone has sinned…and even among theologically-defined born-again Christians, one in four denies personal guilt of sin.” What’s more, “among self-identified Christians, 72% believe that people are “basically good at heart.” This is troubling and egregious error, especially by those who profess to be part of the church. Today on the program, George Barna joins us to discuss the changing view of sin by Americans and Christians and what has led to it. Preparing Boys for Marriage and Fatherhood

ERNIE BAKER, author, Marry Wisely, Marry Well This is Father’s Day Weekend and perhaps nothing has been more assaulted in our society than God’s design for a godly father shepherding his wife and children. God’s model is the only one that leads to harmony in marriage and the home and the raising of a next generation who loves and fears God. How has God’s design for fathers been undermined and resisted? In many ways: – Fatherly authority in the home is slandered as misogynistic and toxic. – Culture, peers, education, social media, and entertainment endlessly promote sexual immorality, gender confusion, and “self-actualization” (i.e. live for self, not for God and others). – Even evangelical churches, including schools and camps, delay the transition from boyhood to manhood through emphasizing amusement over maturity. It’s no wonder boys grow up drifting, without God’s vision for life, marriage, and fatherhood, lacking work ethic, distracted by video games and entertainment, and thus unprepared and even uninformed about God’s design for their lives. This is part of the reason we held The Overcomer Course the past two years—to help young adults understand and pursue God’s call on the most important issues of life. We aren’t holding the two-day Course this year due to managing workload but we wanted to devote a program to the importance of “Preparing Boys for Marriage and Fatherhood.” Helping us do that is our guest, Dr. Ernie Baker. Ernie is the Chair of the Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling at The Master’s University and the author of several books, including one we will discuss, Marry Wisely, Marry Well. Ernie is also the featured speaker at the upcoming “Wisdom, Romance & the Single Years Conference” on Aug. 21-22 at Anchor Bible Church in Plymouth, MN which is designed for those in their 20s and late teens. UFOs and Aliens: The Bible Tells Us Who They Are

The lie that has been swallowed is that people are born, even created by God, whatever they identify as in the LGBTQIA+ alphabet. Deal, Deal…But There Can Be No Lasting Deal With Iran
Send us Fan Mail GUEST: STEVE DEACE, from the Blaze, syndicated radio host and best-selling author President Trump is relentlessly positive—about his abilities, his policies, and America. It’s widely reported that the President was heavily influenced by Norman Vincent Peale’s best-selling book from 1952, The Power of Positive Thinking. Peale was a minister at Marble Collegiate, a church in midtown Manhattan where Trump’s family became members (but rarely attended). This likely explains why Trump chose Paula White-Cain to lead the White House Faith Office—she is cut from the same positivity cloth in the health, wealth, and prosperity movement where one “names and claims” God’s blessings. So what does this have to do with the war in Iran? Trump’s self-confidence, in his leadership, the U.S. military, and in his ability to “make deals,” has impelled him to undertake what no president previously dared—to take military action against Iran to keep them from developing a nuclear weapon with the goal of achieving peace in the Middle East. With the region’s history of conflict going back to ancient times, this is an audacious objective. One of Trump’s favorite adjectives is the word “great.” In late February, the war started “great” with the airstrike extermination of Iran’s supreme leader and dozens of other commanders. The war continued to go great as the U.S. and Israel “decimated” Iran’s military infrastructure and sank its navy. And now we’re told the negotiations with Iran to end the war and give up their nuclear weapons ambitions are going great. But is that really true? One day the president says a deal is close. The next day we hear there’s no deal. The reality is no amount of positivism can make a crooked stick straight—or open the Strait (of Hormuz), for that matter. Iran is crooked and intractable. Their Shia Muslim worldview is apocalyptic. They believe they will usher in the Twelfth Imam, the Islamic version of the messiah, through the conflagration of hostilities. This means they have no intention of peace with the U.S. and Israel, regardless of casualties and hardship. Their patience is long while the president must be mindful of the mid-term elections in November where he could lose power in the Congress. So how to reconcile the seemingly irreconcilable? Steve Deace, author and syndicated radio host for The Blaze, joins us this weekend on The Christian Worldview to discuss how the war with Iran can be concluded in a way that achieves the objective of keeping them from making nuclear weapons. Thinking Through “Rededicate 250” and Revival in the Nation

This year we commemorate 250 years as an independent nation. The Declaration of Independence was signed in 1776 and references God four times as the source of our rights, laws, guidance, and protection. Indeed, early Americans and our history were overtly Christian. But as rebellion against God lurks in the heart of man, we have strayed very far from that today. The Trump Administration, along with public and private organizations, are seeking to change that, to rededicate our nation to God. One week ago, a large event was held in Washington DC called Rededicate 250, promoted as “A National Jubilee Of Prayer, Praise & Thanksgiving. Send us Fan Mail GUEST: CARL TRUEMAN, author, The Desecration of Man If you’re a Christian, you likely find yourself gobsmacked (“utterly astonished”) at the craziness (you see all around you in society, such as: How abortion, the killing of unborn babies, is celebrated How living together before marriage is promoted as necessary to ascertain compatibility How boys can purportedly become girls and vice versa and how hospitals and doctors are more than willing to remove private parts to “transition” How two men can “marry” and then choose a woman out of a catalog to be artificially inseminated by one of them to carry their baby How the proposed solution to crime is “defunding the police” and reducing consequences for criminals How those who illegally enter the country should be able to vote and receive taxpayer benefits The worldview on these issues and many more may seem like lunacy to the Christian, but to the non-Christian or to the liberal professing Christian, they seem perfectly reasonable, even worthy of celebration. Fundamentally, the divide we see and feel in our society is between one side that believes in God and adheres to the framework He established versus another side that rejects the biblical worldview and promotes what is right in their own eyes. Frankly, this shouldn’t surprise us, as it’s been the story of mankind from the very beginning. What God establishes, man rejects and rebels. Satan falsely promised Eve that eating the forbidden fruit would lead to wisdom and liberation but the opposite occurred—shame, enslavement, and ultimately death. Our guest this weekend is Carl Trueman. He is a professor of biblical and theological studies at Grove City College and the author of the book, The Desecration of Man: How the Rejection of God Degrades our Humanity, which is our new featured resource. Mother’s Day Special: Caring for Elderly Parents
Send us Fan Mail GUESTS: Mary Jane (David’s mom); siblings: Marnie, Mark and his wife, Gina, and John; caregivers: Tandi and Taylie I don’t remember the exact year, but it was about 20 years ago that I began interviewing my Dad and Mom at this time of year on programs related to Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. As some listeners will remember, my Dad went to heaven in February 2023 after a sudden heart event at age 91. After 68 years of marriage, my mom became a widow. That’s a difficult loss, as anyone who has lost a beloved husband or wife will attest. Over the past three years since losing my Dad, my Mom has experienced what many elderly people do: the loss of a spouse and declining health. She broke her shoulder and suffered a brain bleed after falling off her treadmill, underwent a knee replacement, endured emergency small intestine surgery and 22 grueling nights in the hospital to recover, and later suffered another fall in her bathroom, breaking a bone in her back. She was then hospitalized for nearly a week due to fluid in her lung cavity. Then this past January, after a period of relative stability, she experienced sudden abdominal pain caused by a twisted intestine, again requiring emergency surgery and 14 nights in the hospital. I say all this not to make the case that she has suffered more than others, but rather the opposite—that what she has gone through is very common for elderly people, and often much worse. After all, Scripture says, “our outer man is decaying,” but the good news for the Christian is that “our inner man is being renewed day by day” (2 Corinthians 4:16). My mom is home now and doing relatively well. But she can no longer live independently due to the risk of falling. Our family is walking through this journey with her, but we are not doing it alone. God has brought some wonderful women into our lives to provide daytime and overnight care throughout the week. You will meet two of them today in the second segment. In the final segment, you will also hear from my siblings as they reflect on both the blessings and the challenges of caring for my Mom. And that is the point of this program: to remind us of God’s call to serve and care for aging parents, and how He does a good work not only in the life of the one being cared for, but also in the lives of the caregivers. We’ll also hear from my Mom herself, now age 92. Her voice may not be as strong as you have heard in the past, but by God’s grace, her faith is as strong as ever. It is our hope that this Mother’s Day, you will treasure the mother God gave you and rely on His strength to care for your parents in their later years.

The founders likely made the assumption that our nation would be and remain Christian, as early immigrants came from Christian European nations. They probably thought future Americans wouldn’t be so foolish as to welcome hundreds of thousands of Muslims. But those with an unbiblical worldview of secular and religious humanism have taken power and hold to the spirit of Babel—that uniting all religions and peoples together will make us good and united. That will not work with Islam and its mission to dominate the world. Europe has puts its very existence at risk in bringing millions of Muslims into its nations and towns and now America is doing the same in Minneapolis, Dearborn, MI, New York City, and elsewhere. Can American Culture Be Renewed?
Send us Fan Mail GUEST: Cal Beisner, President, Cornwall Alliance My 92-year-old mother, who has been a follower of Christ for over 65 years, will often describe how much American culture has declined in her lifetime with regard to morality and marriage, manners and standards, movies and music, education and communication, and more. She does not say that things were perfect or sinless “in the good ol’ days,” but rather how much the culture has coarsened. The younger generation has grown up in this stew so they may not realize all that has changed. And many from the older generation may not discern the downward trajectory or actually see it as “progress.” But the basis for evaluating our society is not human viewpoints, not even my mother’s, but the fixed standard of God’s Word. For example, God designed marriage to be between one man and one woman for life, not two or three people of the same gender. God commands that our speech be truthful and edifying, not marked by obscenity or sensuality. God desires His principles and practices—like prayer, worship, Christ-like character—to be venerated rather than dismissed. So where do we go from here? Can the culture be renewed or is that just another attempt at coercive Christian nationalism? What does it mean for the church to teach, and individual Christians to apply, “the whole counsel of God”? Cal Beisner, founder and president of The Cornwall Alliance for the Stewardship of Creation is our guest this weekend. Not a News Cycle But Rather God Executing His Plan
Send us Fan Mail According to a public relations company, the news cycle is “a continuous process of news generation, distribution, and consumption that describes how media outlets create, report, and replace news stories throughout a given time period.” Today, in our age 24-7 media and everyone with a phone and camera posting on social media, the news cycle doesn’t last long. A story is posted, shared, consumed, and then replaced with the next story in the blink of an eye. It’s hard to keep up or absorb the significance of what is taking place all around us…because the next news story is there to grab our attention. This weekend on The Christian Worldview, Todd Starnes, the Christian and conservative journalist and host at Newsmax who has lived the news cycle during his long career, will join us to discuss several current events, from the war in Iran to once-trusted conservatives turning against President Trump and Israel to the growth of Islam in Europe and the United States to the president posting an image of himself that most thought represented Jesus. Scripture calls Christians to be alert and discerning and that’s what we aim to do as we examine some of the major events in the world today, knowing that it’s not merely a news cycle but God moving all things toward the return of His Son.

Thinking Through the Faith Advisors to President Trump
Send us Fan Mail GUEST: VIRGIL WALKER, Teaching Pastor, Redeemer Bible Church (Gilbert, AZ) Kings, rulers, emperors, prime ministers, and presidents always surrounded themselves with advisors so they can hear what they consider to be the most informed perspectives of domestic and foreign policy. In our day, this would be the president’s cabinet with the heads of the various government agencies. Most rulers throughout history have also surrounded themselves with spiritual or religious advisors in the hope that they will receive wisdom from those closest to God, or in idolatrous nations, from those who worship false gods. The Egyptian Pharaoh had his wise men, sorcerers, and magicians who provided counsel and performed their “secret arts.” The kings of Judah and Israel were always surrounded by prophets and priests in order to know God’s will. And that’s the critical point—knowing God’s will only comes from those who genuinely know God. Just like the broad way that leads to the destruction and the narrow way that leads to eternal life, most who spiritually advise rulers will be like the false prophets of Ahab telling the king what he wants to hear while few will be brave enough to speak the true Word of God. Enter the modern day and President Trump’s White House Faith Office, an advisory board of religious leaders selected by the president led by the well-known charismatic pastor and televangelist Paula White-Cain. White-Cain teaches the health, wealth, and prosperity false gospel and it influences how she leads the Faith Office. There are other more sound Christian pastors and leaders like Robert Jeffress, pastor of First Baptist Church in Dallas, and Franklin Graham, evangelist and head of Samaritan’s Purse. These men are in a testing position—how to be faithful when there is compromise all around? Virgil Walker, pastor, author, writer, and podcast host, will join us this weekend to help us think through the spiritual influences on President Trump.
