The internet is split in two on Halloween, and this debate got LOUD. On her "Relatable" podcast, Allie Beth Stuckey laid out four ways Christians approach Halloween: skip it entirely, go all in, do it partway, or what she calls "redemptive participation" — her pick. Her example? Her mom hands out a Bible verse with every piece of candy — John 3:16 printed on little slips of paper — and decorates the lawn with signs calling Jesus the "ultimate grave robber." That set people off. One critic called it "worse anti-persuasion for Christianity," and another said, "I am begging parents to stop being weird." Then it went further. In a second clip — later deleted — she said Christians shouldn't be fans of horror in general: no scary books, no true-crime podcasts, no scary movies, because Scripture says "do not fear" over and over. Matt Walsh fired back that horror is actually the most Christian genre of film, and that bland Christian entertainment is a bigger problem than any horror movie ever could be.
