Tales from the Truth Seekers

Natalie Fehlner

In our society, real spiritual experiences are taboo and it’s tragic. The people who have seen or felt the truth are labeled insane by the secular, heretical by the religious, and are gaslit by the New Agers. Because it is a “here and now” experience that goes beyond identity, it innocently threatens any belief system that it meets by default. The result? The most beautiful part of ourselves, the truth of our existence, is forcefully banished to the margins and the experiencer themselves then suffers the consequences. On this podcast we will fearlessly dive into these margins, interviewing people from all walks of life who have felt the answers and seen the unseen. Our mission is to bring their stories out of the spiritual closet and into the open to gain precious insight and wisdom that go beyond ideals. In a society plagued with cultism, dogma, and nihilism, these stories serve as a healing elixir to both listener and experiencer alike, bringing truth, love, peace, and magic to an increasingly fearful and cynical world.

The Heart and the Mind, with Dr. Marieta Pehlivanova

I am lucky enough to live in one of the most magical places on earth. The ancient hills of the Blue Ridge Mountains are home to the world famous Monroe Institute, Yogaville which hosts the only shrine in the world dedicated to all major religions, as well as The Department of Perceptual Studies at the University of Virginia, just to name a few. This specific department at UVA, affectionally nicknamed “DOPS,” is a scientific research group devoted to the rigorous evaluation of empirical evidence for extraordinary human experiences and capacities. I am also lucky enough to call Dr. Marieta Pehlivanova of DOPS a friend, and this episode is full of her professional and personal insight on the near-death experience. It isn’t often that you are able to capture this kind of perspective from someone on a topic like this. There has been a long-time division in our culture between the heart and the mind. Yet Marieta has studied numerous NDE cases at the most prestigious university in the state, and her prolific academic knowledge combined with her personal spiritual insight create a balance and unification of this rift that is nothing short of healing. Marieta’s Bio & Links Marieta Pehlivanova, Ph.D., is a Research Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences at the University of Virginia’s Division of Perceptual Studies. She earned her Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology with a focus in Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of Pennsylvania. Her research explores near-death experiences, children’s reports of past-life memories, after-death communications, and the personality and cognitive factors associated with psi beliefs and experiences. Before joining UVA, she worked as a biostatistician in health research. She has presented her work nationally on near-death experiences, survival research, and best practices for supporting people who report spiritually transformative experiences. Website LinkedIn Natalie’s Links: Substack Website Etsy IG - @sidhe.channelled.art My Story, Part I My Story, Part II Tales from the Truth Seekers Podcast available on Spotify, Apple, & Substack Natalie’s Bio: After walking through the world as somewhat of a cynic for many years, Natalie found herself deeply humbled by a quite sudden and profound state of “non-ego” in 2014. This 48-hour period initiated her into a life-long spiritual journey. While on this path, Natalie has discovered that unique, first-hand, spiritual experience can threaten rigid belief systems of religious, secular, and New Age people alike. Because of this, she is dedicated to empowering people to look withinfor the security they seek and to release complete dependency on blind belief or external systems to guide them. Over the past ten years Natalie has been certified in MindfulSchools, Reiki Level 2, and has graduated from the Spiritual Guidance Mentorship program at Atlantic University. Natalie is also an ordained Avalon Rose Priestess through the Avalon Rose Chapel in Glastonbury, England. Her current advocacy centers around creating educational content to help people extract harmful ideology from truly spiritual and compassionate practices. In the muggle world, Natalie is an actress, singer, dancer, choreographer, director, and playwright. She holds a B.A. in musical theatre performance, an M.A. in theatre education, was a high school theatre director for seven years, and is passionate about the connection between spirituality, mental health, and the arts, and the powerful healing effects that they can have, especially for disadvantaged youth. Seeking the Eternal, with Timothy Lofing

When I was a twenty-something, running around Brooklyn NY, auditioning for commercials with my cat eyes, red lip, and skinny jeans, I never would have guessed that 15 years later, I would be interviewing my old actor friend about his near-death experience, and his full on encounter with God. These were not things we talked about then, or even acknowledged to be real. But so far my life has been nothing but surprises, and I am here for it. Timothy describes his previous self as a lukewarm Christian, who followed his faith in a transactional way. But when he was rushed to the ER last year due to a sudden stroke, his consciousness left this world as the surgeons were performing emergency surgery. What he experienced has changed him forever. When you survive death, you are born again, and as he shares his story, this newness radiates with every word he speaks. It’s the same newness that comes from an infant, or a child, or anyone who has just came from beyond the veil to return with the gift of pure, unconditional, love. Timothy’s Bio & Links: Timothy Lofing was born and raised in Montana. He is an independent producer and director working in New York City and across the United States. He has worked in the commercial, film, and television market from the age of 18. His clients cover the commercial, television, film, and streaming markets working with CBS, ABC, Netflix and companies such as Pfizer, Google, Lincoln, Mercedes, L'Ore'al, Ruby Tuesdays, Adidas, Nike, and many more. Timothy was honored to start working with the BBQ Hero Project in 2020. His most recent project is a 4 year documentary film for STILLWATER County that premiered in 2025. A Conscious Resurrection, with Evan Mecham, President of IANDS

When listening to someone describe what it’s like to die, it doesn’t matter how many times you hear it, you always leave the conversation feeling profoundly affected. The wisdom, love, and humility that permeate each word is undeniable, as some deep and ancient knowing begins to stir at the root of your being. I only knew Evan as an online classmate at Atlantic University. I specifically remembered him because of his natural ability to leave his fellow students feeling incredibly inspired when it was his turn to share in discussion. I was unaware when I reached out to him a few years later for an interview, that I was asking the newly elected president of the International Association for Near-Death Studies to come be on my podcast. Despite his new role and busy schedule, he graciously agreed, and with that was born a truly beautiful episode. This journey we are on that spans dimensions and multiple lifetimes- may we all finally experience a moment of pure rebirth. Evan’s Bio: Evan was an entrepreneur who built and sold several successful companies in the automotive aftermarket. He also served as an officer in the United States Airforce Reserve. Following his business career, Evan embarked on a new path of service, returning to university to become a transpersonal psychologist, minister, and spiritual counselor. He is trained in a wide array of modalities, including regression therapy, NLP, and Reiki energy healing. A published author of spiritually uplifting articles, Evan is also dedicated to his community, supporting the Buddhist Shambala Mountain Center and volunteering as a caseworker at the Fish Food Bank, where he counseled and mentored others. He is the president-elect of the International Association for Near-Death Studies (IANDS.org) and has been a board member since 2023. The Accidental Psychopomp, with Jena Axelrod

On September 11th, 2001, Jenna Axelrod experienced true loss. After the towers fell, she and her husband were invited to so many funerals that they couldn’t attend them all and had to pick between them. At the time, Jena was a stand up comedienne and waitress, turned bond broker. Her world couldn’t have been more separate from the spiritual side of life, but perhaps these experiences have a way of finding you when so many of your friends suddenly find themselves out of body. Her story is amazing, beautiful, and a true testament to the notion that the unseen realities that our society appears to ignore, can make themselves known to anyone at any time. Jena’s Bio: Jena Axelrod is a comedian and filmmaker whose work blends humor, science, and spirituality. She studied for over two decades with Pari Center co-founder F. David Peat and regularly badgered physicist Basil Hiley about the philosophical implications of quantum theory. She is the director and producer of the Absurdity of Certainty documentary, which explores the origins and limits of the physicalist worldview. The Demon Healer, with Debbie Ison

This episode is one of the most powerful I’ve recorded so far. Not many stories are as equally bone chilling as they are beautiful. I was truly touched. Debbie Ison has encountered disembodied energies throughout her life, but it took many years and multiple life experiences for her to arrive where she is now. While Debbie is careful not to claim if she, or anyone else knows whether a perceived possession is a construct of the brain or an external entity, she is doing powerful, alchemical, spiritual healing either way. She is a primary school educator turned spiritual release therapist, and her story gave me reassurance. It validated something deep within me that we all desperately need to be true- that good will always conquer evil, and that authentic love is the most powerful tool of all. Of course this is not always the case on a micro level in the material realm. But on a broad, ontological level, this has to be the most fundamental truth that there is. There are no other options. I hope you enjoy listening to Debbie describe her work as much as I did. Her clients come to her with spirits of the dead, or possibly even demons attached to them. Alternative voices come out of their mouths, sometimes hurling horrible abuse her way. But she is strong and she is armed. What is her most powerful weapon in the face of such horror? The gentle compassion of a school teacher. Debbie’s Bio: Debbie Ison is a full-time hypnotherapist who works with clients to overcome a range of issues. Debbie is trained in 13 different therapies, and she also trains therapists in Hypnotherapy, Past Life Regression and Reiki. Throughout her therapeutic journey Debbie has been called to work with clients who wish to explore their spirituality and heal through a transpersonal approach, something which has led Debbie on a spiritual journey of her own. Debbie now works regularly with clients to help them overcome issues that they attribute to past lives and the paranormal, providing energy clearances to properties and working with clients through Spirit Release Therapy to free them from the perceived spirits and entities that are causing them harm. Debbie has recently commenced her PhD studies in this area. My Faery Soul Awakening, with Diomira D'Agostino

Ever since Diomira Rose D'Agostino could remember, she always knew there was something more. Throughout childhood she wondered what it was that they were not teaching her in school, and what was inherently missing from her everyday life. This launched her into a lifelong quest to find out, and her story does not disappoint. Diomira has traveled the world, visiting many famous, treasured, ancient sites that predate antiquity, and without knowing a thing about the magic that lives there, she happened to find her holy grail in Glastonbury. This initiation then launched her into the next chapter of her life. She has her fair share of stories from attempting to navigate the shallow, play-along, culture of the New Age community. But inevitably, she began to remember the old ways of living, relating, and healing the land, the earth, and the very real spirits that call Gaia home. Diomira’s Bio: Diomira Rose D’Agostino is a teacher of the Earth Mysteries, a soul path mentor and guide, certified flower essence healer, soul astrologer, plant spirit ceremonialist, and metaphysician. After a decade of engaging with the mythic, elemental, and faery inhabitants of different lands and sacred sites around the world, in 2018, Diomira founded New Avalon, a garden and forest sanctuary dedicated to fostering respectful and mutually healing relationships with the ancient spiritual forces of the land where she lives. She is an ordained Healing Minister of Inner Quest Metaphysical Church, where for 6 years she studied the healing and psychic arts, meditation, energy principles, and metaphysical laws of the Universe. She has undergone additional apprenticeships in herbalism, plant spirit healing, Medicine Wheel training, shamanic ceremonial arts and integral space-holding. Magic, Rationality, Love & Identity, with Gryphon Corpus

We’re born into this world in survival mode. When we’re small we believe in magic, and as we grow we turn into respectable, rational adults. Is there more? Some might say yes, but as we begin to return to wonder, how do we manage the hypocrisy of believing in open-mindedness for everyone, “unless you disagree?” How do we rationalize a belief in inclusivity, while simultaneously excluding all who challenge us? Are there actually ways of being that integrate magic, rationality, love, and identity? In this episode, I had the pleasure of interviewing Gryphon Corpus, who breaks down the stages of spiritual development to further understand the evolution of our own consciousness, as it is mirrored in the evolution of the collective. If you’ve been looking for language to better understand and articulate what you’ve observed in the world around you, Gryphon is here to help you find clarity, and return to wholeness. Gryphon’s Bio: Gryphon earned her masters degree from the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture in Florida, and is continuing her studies under the mentorship of Lonny Jarrett. She also practices Shen-Hammer pulse diagnosis, and serves on the board of the Leon Hammer Legacy Foundation. Her varied background includes molecular biology, yarn dyeing, and audiobook narration. For Gryphon, acupuncture is about helping people find their deep, underlying root of health and learning to radiate it at all levels of their being to find wellness of body, mind, and spirit. Energy Healing, The Divine Feminine, and How to Be a Spiritual Warrior, with Rev. Dr. Carol Richardson

Throughout her journey, Rev. Dr. Carol Richardson has seen visions, felt energies, and witnessed miracles—like her dog's bladder mass disappearing in a day after prayer. These stories aren’t just mystical; they reveal the deep connection we all share with spirit and universal consciousness. Her most powerful lesson? We are all sacred, connected by love, intention, and subtle energies. When we stand in that truth, we become spiritual warriors—radiating love and peace without fighting, but embodying the energy that humbles violence directly into peace. Carol’s Bio: Carol E. Richardson was born on the equator in what was then the Belgian Congo (now the Democratic Republic of Congo) and spent her childhood moving between Africa and the United States from 1958 to 1977. Raised by highly educated missionary parents, she grew up in a multicultural and deeply spiritual environment that shaped both her intellectual curiosity and spiritual outlook. Widowed at 28 after her husband died from a cerebral aneurysm, leaving her with two young children, she went on to earn a Master of Public Health degree and a Master of Divinity degree from Vanderbilt Divinity School. Ordained in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), she served churches for more than 15 years before pursuing Eastern spiritual studies, including nearly two decades of Raja Yoga meditation and Kriya Yoga practice. In 2010, Richardson experienced what she describes as an “Enlightenment Vision,” inspiring her current work as an intuitive life coach and healer in the Washington, DC area. A lifelong lover of science as well as spirituality, she leads workshops on meditation and stress reduction and created “Mastermind Stars: Master Yourself & Your Life” for children, teens, and young adults. She also speaks on personal growth and resilience, including her motivational talk, “Why Are There Ants in My Salad?” Her mission is to help people recognize their potential, connect more deeply with the universe, and live with greater joy and purpose. This live video was originally scheduled to take place on Rachel White’s Substack account. However, about 30 minutes in she was mysteriously transported to another realm to join me and the rest of the fae. “…the greatest side quest of this Fire Horse Year: pursuing the truth and embracing individual thinking. That group think moral panic witch hunt s**t we’ve been doing for six years? Yah, that’s over. No one has the energy to be scared of the ritual shunning— we’re all just out here trying to stay bricked up in this economy. Ain’t nobody got time for that anymore. Which, as it turns out, is going to be really, really f*****g beautiful. What’ happens when we get out of the way and let the truth have its day? Only Two Things: Wisdom & Compassion, with Kimla Desrosiers

Kimla Desrosiers was raised Catholic until she encountered her first awakening upon reading about Buddhist teachings. The idea that everything within reality can be broken down into wisdom and compassion resonated so deeply with her, that she felt something within her heart break open and remember. Much to her parents’ discomfort, she left the Catholic Church, joined the Universal Unitarian church and eventually became a Tibetan Buddhist, taking a vow that spans across lifetimes. In this episode, she shares with us her experience of leaving her body for the first time, the beings she met there, and the wisdom they shared. She also shares her experience of clear light, non-duality, and oneness, something that is quite ineffable and yet simultaneously, could be discussed until the end of time. Yet, like many of my podcasts guests, her approach is grounded, and her work is real, as she continues to model the never-ending balancing act that is being human. Kim’s Bio: Kim, also known as Kimla, is a Reiki master, teacher, energy healer and consciousness guide who blends Tibetan Buddhist practices, dream yoga, and advanced energy work to help others awaken to their true nature. With over 30 years experience as an environmental engineer, and decades of spiritual study across the globe. Kim has taught internationally with renowned leaders like Dr. Robert Thurman and at institutions such as the Monroe Institute. She is the founder of The Art of Reiki Collective. Where Science Meets Spirituality, with Dr. Nancy McLaughlin-Walter of the Monroe Institute

Dr. Nancy McLaughlin-Walter never expected that she would end up studying consciousness. She never thought she’d find herself co-director of research at the now quasi-famous Monroe Institute located in the beautiful Shenandoah mountains of Virginia. But, as more than one of my podcast guests have stated, Monroe has a way of finding you. In this episode, Nancy brings us through an array of spiritual experiences she has had throughout her life. From a Ouji board planchette flying across the room on its own, to highly accurate psychic readings, out of body experiences and more. Yet her approach is grounded, bridging the gaps between scientific inquiry and spiritual knowing, while offering more insight into this real-life American Hogwarts where she gets to spend most of her time. Nancy ends with the always needed, validating reminder that, no matter what societal narratives say, you are not too much. (Even if you are a psychic medium). Nancy’s Bio: Nancy McLaughlin-Walter, Ph.D., is a research psychologist and Co-Director of the Research Division at the Monroe Institute, where she leads investigations into the neural correlates of consciousness, human energetic phenomena, and the neural effects of audio-assisted meditation technology. Her work bridges scientific inquiry with experiential research, focusing on the measurable impacts of altered states of consciousness induced by brain entrainment audio technologies. Dr. McLaughlin-Walter is particularly interested in exploring the mechanisms underlying out-of-body experiences, psychic-mediumship, and expanded human perception, with a goal of advancing integrative models of consciousness and human potential. She is currently authoring two books—one for a popular audience exploring psychological and social dimensions of identity and transformation, and another that documents extraordinary experiences of Monroe Institute participants. With a commitment to rigorous research and public engagement, Dr. McLaughlin-Walter brings both empirical depth and visionary inquiry to the fields of consciousness studies and transpersonal psychology. All in Divine Timing, with Mark Phillips

First, I’d like to thank you all for your patience as Tales From the Truth Seekers had to take a brief hiatus. But we are back, and the past few weeks’ episodes will be coming to you this week! I am excited to reintroduce a truly magical person to you all, Mr. Mark Phillips, whom you may have met in Season One. Mark opens up about his continued psychic evolution at Arthur Findlay College, which we affectionally refer to as the “real life Hogwarts.” (Yes, it is a magic school, housed inside a beautiful chateau in the UK.) Mark also gives real world, down to earth, examples of the incredible healing experiences that can come from mediumship work, as he acts as a bridge between worlds, connecting loved ones from the beyond. Lastly, Mark shares an astonishing update for us from his own story, that will leave you with a new-found faith in the power of love. Mark’s Bio: Mark lives in Scotland and throughout his life from childhood has had a keen interest in the supernatural but never for a second believed this was something he was able to be a part of. Mark had a couple of experiences with loved ones, who had passed, in dream throughout his life; At the age of 44 Mark realised that having a connection with Spirit is not only for the select few, now as a newly working medium and channel Mark’s passion is sharing that we can all connect with Spirit, our own intuition/psychic faculties and healing modalities which are within us all. Sleep Paralysis as a Spiritual Gift, with Dr. Sheila Pryce Brooks

The commonly held belief surrounding sleep paralysis is that it is a disorder, a glitch of the brain if you will, nothing more. If that is the case, the why have millions of people, over the course of thousands of years, all experienced the same beings? The hat man, the incubus, the smoke entity, implying the existence of one common realm where they reside. Tales from the Truth Seekers, Season Four is coming to you tomorrow, the night before Christmas, opening with Dr Sheila Pryce Brooks . Sheila shares her insights and expertise on the spiritual experience of sleep paralysis. How appropriate. I believe a certain well-known old, English miser would approve of this perspective of the spirits that come to haunt you in the night, and how they’re actually a revelation of spiritual awakening… Humbug? I don’t believe so. Because according to Sheila’s life long experience with this phenomenon, it is very real indeed, and while many modern materialists chalk it up to a simple sleeping disorder, Sheila has come to find that it is actually a spiritual gift. Although sometimes terrifying, sleep paralysis is a great threshold to the beyond. Sheila’s Bio: Dr. Sheila Pryce Brooks is a researcher, writer, and speaker who explores sleep paralysis as a powerful, and often misunderstood, altered state of consciousness. Drawing from over 30 years of lived experience and academic inquiry, she bridges science, spirituality, and contact. She hosts the Sleep Paralysis News Podcast, and shares posts on Substack opening conversations around anomalous states and their deeper meaning. Bonus: From Inside the Looking Glass, with Dr. Joan Walton & Natalie Fehlner

Dr. Joan Walton has generously offered to switch hats with the host of Tale from the Truth Seekers so that listeners could get the inside perspective on Natalie’s story, what motivated her to start the podcast to begin with, and what she has learned and observed by interviewing 30+ people about their spiritual experiences in just one year. Dr. Joan Walton’s main role is at York St. John University in the UK, in the School of Education. She is also chaired by of the board of directors for The Scientific and Medical Network, and chair of the executive committee of the International Network for the Study of Spirituality, Consciousness and Science. Natalie and Joan discuss the challenges of integrating back into society after a spiritual encounter, and the ten years of Natalie’s closeted existence, as she desperately jumped from one spiritual community to the next in hopes to find validation and support. They also dive into how healing the podcast has been for Natalie, as it forced her to come all the way out of the spiritual closet, naturally attracting others who have gone through the same thing, thus forming the spiritual community she’d always been hoping to find. Natalie highlights multiple episodes from past seasons, reveals big plans for the future of the podcast, and offers a big picture perspective on the universal nature of spiritual awakenings and near-death experiences. Natalie’s Bio: Natalie is the sole creator behind every handmade piece at Sidhe Readings & Channelled Art, and is the host of Tales from the Truth Seekers podcast. After walking through the world as somewhat of a cynic for many years, Natalie found herself deeply humbled by a quite sudden and profound state of "non-ego" in 2014. This 48-hour period initiated her into a life-long spiritual journey. While on this path, Natalie has discovered that unique, first-hand, spiritual experience can threaten rigid belief systems of religious, secular, and New Age people alike. Because of this, she is dedicated to empowering people to look within for the security they seek and to release complete dependency on blind belief or external systems to guide them. Over the past ten years, Natalie has been certified in MindfulSchools, Reiki Level 2, and has graduated from the Spiritual Guidance Mentorship program at Edgar Cayce’s Atlantic University. Natalie is also an ordained Avalon Rose Priestess through the Avalon Rose Chapel in Glastonbury, England. The Near-Death Experience, with P.M.H. Atwater

In 1977, P.M.H. Atwater died and came back three consecutive times. After this experience, she was sure that she was going crazy, until she attended a symposium in which a speaker gave a talk on eternal consciousness and shared an image that exactly matched what she had experienced when she died. She was finally validated. While she was existing beyond the veil, she also heard a voice, so big it filled the entire universe, and the voice told her that she was to do the research, and write a book for each of her deaths. Over the past forty-three years she has gone on to write twenty-seven books and has studied roughly five-thousand cases of near-death experience. In this episode, she opens up about her childhood, how she got her name, and she shares stories about all the people she’s met along the way. While unconditional love is the common denominator in near-death studies, the divorce rate post-experience is as high as 80%. Mrs. Atwater shares her insight on why this is, and how we can better support these wise but vulnerable souls as they navigate reentry into the material. She also believes that the near-death experience isn’t simply anomalous, it is a part of the evolution of human consciousness, and we have Mrs. Atwater to thank for playing a vital role in this great unfolding. P.M.H. Atwater’s Bio: An international authority on near-death states, Dr. PMH Atwater, L.H.D. uses the culmination of her research to establish that the near-death phenomenon is not some kind of anomaly, but is rather part of the larger genre of transformations of consciousness. She combines her 38 years of near-death research with what she was doing in the 60s and 70s, experiencing, experimenting with, and researching altered states of consciousness, mysticism, psychic phenomena, and the transformational process, to reveal what transformations of consciousness really are, why we have them, and where they lead us. This lifetime endeavor covers over 43 years of work, involving nearly 7,000 people. Her meticulous and unique protocol gives validity to what she has discovered, and verified, about the percentage worldwide of people who have undergone near-death experiences. Non-Human Intelligence - What is Going On? with Dr. Sioux Oliva

In her teenage years, Dr. Sioux Oliva discovered The Urantia Book, and after encountering beings from another dimension on a California beach, her curiosity around non-human intelligence has never waned. In 2014 she published Dr. Sadler and The Urantia Book: A History of Spiritual Revelation in the 20th Century. In this episode, she shares with us a wealth of knowledge and research around NHI. Her key takeaway? The sheer volume of credible evidence suggesting that these beings are real, have material craft, and can travel through dimensions. She also theorizes that they have been around a long time, probably longer than human civilization itself. Who are they? What do they want? Are they here to help or to harm? Some of it still remains a mystery, yet soft disclosure is happening, the gap in awareness is surely closing, and how cool is it that we get to be alive on the earth when it does? Sioux’s Bio: Sioux Oliva is an American historian and lecturer. Born in in Buffalo, New York and raised in San Diego, California, Sioux earned her Ph.D. in History from the University of Southern California in 1999. Her first project was managing a non-profit website to introduce the teachings of The Urantia Book to a wider audience sponsored by Lyn and Norman Lear. Some of her other notable projects and clients include assisting Mrs. Robert F. Kennedy organize her personal papers at her home, Hickory Hill, in McLean, VA; designing a research scheme for the Estate of Marilyn Monroe; doing four family history projects and cataloging thousands of documents found in Grey Gardens for Sally Quinn and Ben Bradlee; and research projects for The Getty and The City of Los Angeles, and The Autry Museum of the American West. Sioux lives outside of Asheville, North Carolina, with her husband and their two Field Setters. Sioux has been published in American Indian Culture and Research Journal, Virginia Living, and wrote a chapter, "Winning the Sovereignty Jackpot: The Indian Gaming Regulatory Act and the Struggle for Sovereignty" in the book Indian Gaming: Who Wins? Since then Sioux has focused her research on the paranormal in human history, mainly focusing on UFOs/Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP). She is on the Leadership Team of the Visible College, who are a volunteer group of scholars who promote serious research into UAP and related topics. Our goal is to produce and collaborate on high quality research so that we can better understand this complex topic. She also supports the SOL Foundation which focused on bringing intellectual insight into UAP research to meet scientific and political challenges.
