I’m Jennie Becker and I’m fascinated by ‘what if’ moments - what they look like, what we can learn from them - and how we can begin to embrace them.

Five years ago I had my very own Sliding Doors Moment when I decided to start this podcast. Since then I’ve been on an incredible journey helping guests join the dots on the small decisions or moments that made a big difference and built the path of their lives.

From Olympians to Presenters, Actors to Entrepreneurs (and even the cast of the 90s hit movie!), each episode I get to meet amazing people and ask them what could have been, if they’d chosen differently…

Ep85: Sliding Doors with Sam McKnight
Sam McKnight MBE is a hairstylist renowned for creating the most iconic looks and his work with celebrities such as Kate Moss, Princess Diana and Lady Gaga. Early on in his career Sam was an independent session stylist working for high-profile editorial shoots and a firm favourite at Vogue. In the early ‘90s Sam was best known for creating Princess Diana’s iconic slicked back hairstyle and became her personal hair stylist for 7 years and he has, and continues, to work extensively with supermodels Christy Turlington, Kate Moss & Naomi Campbell. He now has his own range of luxury haircare products - Hair by Sam McKnight and last year he was awarded an MBE for services to the fashion and beauty industries. In this episode Sam delves into the world of hair and the iconic styles and clients he has worked with over the years and where his drive comes from. We chat about the moment he decided to move to London in the ‘70s which started his whole career- and how the stars seemed to align for him getting his first job at Vogue. Ep84: Sliding Doors with Sarel
Sarel is a Presenter, Podcaster, Actor and comedy star of TikTok, with over 1 million combined followers. She is probably best known as one-half of the critically acclaimed podcast Closet Confessions with Candice Brathwaite which has taken the podcast world by storm as one of the biggest shows in 2023. She has starred on stage and screen including a 26-show run at Edinburgh and her TV debut in Sky Comedy's 'Smothered'. As a presenter, Sarel has hosted numerous events and red carpets for some of the biggest UK premieres and brands including TikTok and BAFTA. Ep83: Sliding Doors with Farmer Will
Will Young- better known as 'Farmer Will' is a farmer, author and former Love Island contestant with over 1.9 million followers on TikTok. Will is a sixth generation farmer who spreads his passion for farming through documenting his warm, entertaining and uplifting adventures on his farm. He is one of the UK's best known digital creators and earlier this year his fanbase exploded when he was a contestant on Love Island- meeting his now girlfriend Jessie. In this episode Will opens up about his visions for the farming industry and the importance of looking after your mental health, as well as his beliefs in fate and timing. We delve into his amazing Sliding Doors moments when he decided to stop 'normal' work and go and live back on the farm- which was the real catalyst to where he is now in his life.
