She runs a busy studio in Marbella, Spain, coaching arena-level band singers, charting artists & professional vocalists. Kim also helps singers rebuild their voices after surgery & rehabilitation and has worked with HMUK for years in this capacity. Kim has decades of high-end performing experience. Her voice is heard on TV series, films, albums, cruise ship shows, thousands of jingles worldwide and has backed & supported many international artists. Kim has performed at some of London's most iconic locations such as the Royal Albert Hall and Buckingham Palace. Kim is regularly invited to lead workshops, teacher training events and present at voice conferences. She spent more than a decade in leadership positions for the British Voice Association, as President & Director and Head of Communications, and as a Principal/Senior Lecturer at Leeds Conservatoire & London College of Music. Her pedagogical output features in academic compendiums such as "Training Contemporary Commercial Singers" and "Teaching Singing in the 21st Century". Kim is the creator of the popular "Funky 'n Fun" vocal exercise series used by singers, teachers and institutions alike and a new curriculum poster for CCM teaching studios. This was followed by a world tour as principal singer on board Cunard’s renowned Queen Victoria. Sarah then toured the UK with the 25th anniversary production of Phantom of the Opera, covering and playing Madame Giry, and appeared in the London Palladium production of Scrooge starring Tommy Steele, where she played Mrs Cratchit. As well as running her own choir in Surbiton, Sarah gigs with the London Contemporary Voices and is lead singer for the Soultanas, funk & soul band. In addition, Sarah enjoys working as a vocal coach at her studio in Guildford as well as teaching at Italia Conti and the University of Creative Arts. She holds a certificate in vocal health first aid from Vocal Health Education, and is now a Vocal Habilitation Professional. Cat Ogden Cat Ogden trained at UCLan in Music Theatre and is currently studying for a Master’s in Voice Pedagogy with the Voice Study Centre. She specialises in teaching children and young adults, and in singing for mental health and wellbeing. Cat has a certificate in mental health first aid, vocal health first aid and has completed the BAST 20 hour course. She lives in Cheshire. Felix found his musical 'home' by way of the operatic and concert stage where started life as a 'pants' mezzo - his primary repertoire consisting primarily of pants roles, or operatic drag – women singing young male characters...or sometimes, the more complicated version: a woman playing a young man, disguised as young woman. As he explored gender transition in his personal life, he was inspired by the recursive nature of these pants roles, bringing that gender fluidity and characterisation to cabaret as well as his concert repertoire. As an academic, Dr. Graham has presented research and workshops at home and abroad on vocal habilitation, gender, trans voice and inclusive choral methods. His private teaching practices focuses on vocal health and retraining, as well as guiding clients in reconciling their voice and personal identity. Additionally, he taught choral methods and applied voice at Teachers College, Columbia University and the City University of New York, served as musical director for the off-Broadway production Love is a Many-Splintered Thing, and currently serves as music director of the TRANScend Vocal Ensemble in New York City. Alongside running her own private studio, Pro Vox based in Liverpool, she is also a Senior Popular Vocals Lecturer at Leeds Conservatoire, a Vocal Health Education First Aid Assessor, a Singing Specialist Volunteer (VRC) at the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen Hospital voice clinic, alongside current study as a PhD candidate at the School of Music, University of Leeds; specialising in 'Singers' experiences of working with in-ear technology'. As a hearing-impaired alt-rock singer currently wearing one hearing aid, her recent years of research have taken a specific focus as to 'how we hear' and more specifically 'how singers hear', alongside 'the impact of hearing devices/protection during live performance', which is a field lacking in research. Carrie hopes to bring new theories to light within this subject matter across coming years. Carrie recently completed her MA in Applied Practice of Vocal Pedagogy with Voice Workshop Ltd. alongside recent years' worth of CPD in Vocal Anatomy, Vocal Health, Teaching Young and Changing Voices, Auditory Processing, Vocal Rehab, and The Exploration of Tinnitus, to name a few. Prior to recent studies she holds a Teaching Diploma in Popular Vocals from the London College of Music, and a Ba (Hons) Popular Music & Drama and Theatre Studies from Liverpool Hope University. Her performance experience spans over 20 years as a dancer, musical theatre performer, actor, flautist, saxophonist, singer-songwriter performing in a variety of venues and performance settings across the UK, most notably fronting alternative-rock band, F I G U R E S since 2015 and now a new duo project, Charlie's Girl launched in late 2021. Alongside her teaching, researching, volunteering and performing roles, Carrie is also the north area representative to the Association of Teachers of Singing (AOTOS) where she is involved in bringing together a community of singing teachers, choral directors, and professional voice users across the north of the UK. She hosts annual CPD events and is available to offer advice to new and growing teachers through many events and networking opportunities with the charity. One of Lydia’s favourite aspects about being a therapist is the journey of working with each client individually to discover what is most useful for them from a practical and professional perspective. As someone who experienced vocal injury herself, Lydia understands that vocal challenges go beyond the physical, and so Lydia leans into the psychological vocal empowerment that is possible through her work in manual therapy. Lydia was endorsed for the prestigious Global Talent Visa (under Exceptional Promise Criteria) by Arts Council England. You may find Lydia’s research in the peer-reviewed academic journals Voice and Speech Review and Journal of Singing (in press). Lydia trained as a massage therapist with Jing Advanced Massage Training in Brighton, UK and specialised in vocal massage after training in Vocal Massage and Advanced Laryngeal Manipulation with Stephen King/Vocal Massage Training. She is currently furthering her manual therapy skills and understanding of pain science through the Advanced Clinical Massage Training certification at Jing Advanced Massage Training (expected completion September 2022). Lydia holds an MA in Music Theatre from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and a BA from the University of Virginia (BA in Drama, with honours). She also trained at Ithaca College’s BFA Musical Theatre programme. When not working at the Voice Care Centre, Lydia is working at her Oxford clinic, Oxford Vocal Massage and coaching through her holistic voice company, Flockstars Coaching.
