I built a hyperrealistic, life-sized octopus cake designed to wrap entirely around my real arm without breaking when I let go. To pull off this illusion, I had to hide a steel and wire skeleton inside the tentacles, stretch edible wafer paper so thin that light passes through it, and use a cantaloupe to stamp the perfect skin texture.     Edible Candles for a Jack-o-Lantern CAKE

    Everything is 100% Cake! (It Actually Sizzles)

    I needed this mango baby food yolk to hold its shape like a real one, and then burst the second a knife touches it. It took nineteen attempts. Everything in this pan is edible: the trivet, the cast iron, the egg white, the runny yolk, and the butter that sizzles without any heat at all. WHAT'S IN THE PAN: • Granite trivet: crushed Nilla Wafers and Teddy Grahams bound in white chocolate • Cast iron skillet: black chocolate, cast from a mold of my real pan • Egg white: gelatin emulsified with melted white chocolate • Sizzling butter: baking soda, citric acid, corn syrup and yellow food coloring • Runny yolk: mango baby food frozen solid and dipped in gelatin Nothing on this plate is hot.     This Charizard CAKE Breathes REAL Smoke

    I spent over 20 hours on this hyperrealistic Charizard cake, and I honestly thought I’d ruined the whole thing at the last second! I’m pushing my cake-sculpting skills as far as they can go here to create a massive, gravity-defying Pokemon cake that actually breathes real fire and exhales smoke. The engineering on this build was a total experiment. I had to figure out a complex internal structure just to support a 20lb dragon on a single leg, and then I used modeling chocolate and rice paper to get all those hyperrealistic details. I even built a glowing "lava" base using LEDs and broken hard candy shards, and rigged a hidden system to make the fire and smoke happen using wafer paper.     I Submerged a Capybara Cake in Real Tea (Did it Melt?)

    Today, my daughter and I are having a very untraditional tea party. I built a hyper-realistic capybara cake sitting inside a fully functional, drinkable punch bowl! To keep a gallon of tea off my floor, I had to figure out how to disguise a basic plastic bowl as a weathered wooden barrel using just modeling chocolate, food coloring, and edible rust. Building and texturing the capybara was easily the best part of this project. The final result is insane - and yes, you can actually drink the tea right out of the cake!     I spent over 40 hours building a hyper-realistic Tonkatsu Ramen bowl entirely out of cake! From the gravity-defying floating chopsticks to the pineapple-flavored broth, every single detail is edible.
