Episode 18 - What Happens When You Say Yes to God

What does it actually look like to lay your “yes” down for the Lord? In this episode, we talk about choosing faith and obedience even when the outcome is uncertain. Sean shares his Chicago Marathon experience, and Max reflects on HYROX Boston - two events where, at one point, neither of us knew if we would even be able to toe the line. But we kept showing up. We kept the faith. We gave everything we had and trusted God with the result. And through both experiences, the Lord did far more than simply allow us to compete. He taught us about surrender, perseverance, gratitude, and what can happen when we stop trying to control the outcome and simply give Him our yes. Sometimes obedience doesn’t mean knowing exactly where God is taking you. It means being willing to take the next step anyway. Lay your yes down. Give your full effort. Trust the Lord with what comes next.

Episode 17 - How to Respond When Life Gets Hard

What does it actually look like to endure through a hard season? In this episode, we talk about what it means to suffer well - not just surviving trials, but allowing God to use them to shape our faith, character, and endurance. Episode 16 - God’s Immeasurable Love & Using Your Gifts Well

In this episode, Max and Sean walk through a theme seen throughout Romans: how understanding God’s love should change the way we live. Romans 8 starts with the reminder that nothing can separate us from the love of God. When we truly believe that, we don’t have to live consumed by fear, worry, comparison, or constantly wondering what’s next. Romans 12 talks about identity, purpose, and the different gifts God has given each of us. Instead of comparing our race to someone else’s, we’re called to understand what God has entrusted to us and use it faithfully. But those gifts aren’t just for our own success. They’re meant to be used in service of others. That leads us into what Romans says about doing good, loving genuinely, and ultimately loving our neighbor well. Episode 9: Being Faithful With What’s in Front of You

In this episode, we unpack the Parable of the Talents in Matthew 25 and what it means to faithfully steward what God has already placed in front of us. Before asking for more influence, opportunity, responsibility, or resources, are we being faithful with what we have right now? We also discuss laziness, how fear and comparison can keep us from taking action, and why faithfulness often looks like consistently doing the simple, ordinary work no one else sees. Then we bring the conversation into endurance training. More mileage is not always better, and chasing someone else’s numbers can distract you from the race God has marked out for you. Good stewardship means committing to your training plan, respecting your current season, caring for your body, and training with purpose rather than comparison.
