    EP#49 - TMNT SPECIAL - Retro Ramble Movie Podcast

    In this month's episode, Charlie and George head for the New York sewers to have a totally bodacious chat about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! For this special instalment, they'll be focusing both the action-packed 1990 feature and the very swift sequel - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: The Secret of the Ooze, which offers more comedy, less violence and a probably too much Vanilla Ice! The boys talk of the origins of TMNT, the marvellous Jim Henson animatronics, dodgy youth sidekicks and questionable 90's fashion.     EP#48 - Under Siege (1992)

    In this months episode, Charlie and George board the USS Missouri, to find themselves Under Siege! For the first time, they'll be covering the work of the legend Akido master, part-time sheriff, sometime jazz-man, Mr Steven Seagal. The Brothers McGhee discuss Seagal's career, ponytail and Hollywood ambitions and delve into what makes Under Siege, the action star's best received film. There's talk of some classic 90's action exposition, Die Hard cliches and great casting from the superbly villainous Tommy Lee Jones, Gary Busey, and Colm Meaney (being all meany) as well as the reassuring authority of Dale Dye - you know, that guy with the grey hair that's in a lot of military films?     EP#45 - Review of 2019 - Star Wars Special

    Like a conveniently resurrected Sith Lord, Charlie and George are back in the final chapter of their Review of 2019! They've made the jump to lightspeed to review Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker! They discuss the highs and lows of JJ Abrams finale and the film's journey to the screen, including a very different draft from original director Colin Trevorrow. The brothers also share their thoughts on how the closing chapter stacks up against the previous two instalments, The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi, so please note, there are SPOILERS throughout for all three films! There's reviews of dystopian dust-up, Alita: Battle Angel, Tarantino period-piece Once Upon A Time in Hollywood and the blood-soaked Rambo epilogue, Last Blood. George and Charlie also provide some topline thoughts on all things Disney, from their live-action remakes of Dumbo, Aladdin and The Lion King, as well as Marvel's latest comic book capers, Captain Marvel, Avengers Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home.     EP#39 - First Blood (1982)

    To celebrate the release of Rambo: Last Blood, this month's episode, sees Charlie and George go back to the beginning to discuss First Blood! They chart the film's journey from page to screen which led to the creation of a classic 80s action hero.     In this month's episode, Charlie and George visit the gritty suburbs of Old Detroit to discuss the future of law enforcement, Robocop! This time, they've got company as they are joined by Ben from TopFilmTip! During the episode the three delve into director Paul Verhoeven's scathing satirical sci-fi to discuss lovable villains, robo-resurrections and the correct way to start a petrol explosion (though we strongly advise against doing so).
