In this episode of Ramayan – The Eternal Journey, Vishvamitra entrusts Rama with a vast collection of divine astras—celestial weapons of immense power. One by one, the astras come before Rama, ready to serve at his command. Rama receives them with discipline and reverence, and then asks for something equally important: the knowledge of how to withdraw and recall them. Vishvamitra teaches him the samhara—the methods by which these divine powers may be restrained and called back. Rishyashringa Comes to Ayodhya | ऋश्यशृंग का अयोध्या आगमन
King Dasharatha has everything a great ruler could possess—wealth, power, ministers, priests, and the magnificent city of Ayodhya. Yet one concern weighs heavily on him: he has no son to continue the Ikshvaku lineage. As Dasharatha considers performing the Ashvamedha sacrifice, his minister Sumantra recalls an ancient prediction connected with the young ascetic Rishyashringa. The journey takes us from Ayodhya to the forests, to the drought-stricken kingdom of Anga, where Rishyashringa’s arrival brings rain and where he is united with Shanta. The episode then returns to Dasharatha’s search for an heir.
