Pregnancy After Loss
After being open about her miscarriage in past episodes, Maia sits down to share about a season she’s currently walking through: pregnancy after loss. Going into this pregnancy, Maia feared that anxiety would taint something she had prayed so deeply for-that instead of experiencing joy, she would spend nine months waiting for something to go wrong. But what she’s found is that the fear and uncertainty have actually become a beautiful invitation to depend on God more deeply and let trusted people into the places she can’t carry alone. In this episode, Maia shares honestly about some of the struggles that have come with pregnancy after loss-from telling people she was pregnant again to navigating anxious thoughts when different symptoms or situations arose. She also shares some of the practical things that have helped her fight fear along the way: finding a “fighting verse” to come back to, being intentional about the voices she allows into her mind and heart, guarding what she consumes, and having trusted people she can process the very real parts of pregnancy with without leaving the conversation feeling more fearful or anxious. This episode isn’t about pretending fear doesn’t exist. It’s about learning that when it does come, we don’t have to walk through it alone. We can invite God in, invite His people in, and continue choosing truth one moment at a time. 🤎 For more encouragement follow @overflow.thepodcast and feel free to message us on there with anything you may need!
