    Get Screened - Ep 612

Send us Fan Mail Aaron and Trent sit down with Tim “Chaci” Pachasa and Chelsey Simoni from the Hunter Seven Foundation for one of the most important health conversations we have had on Ones Ready. Hunter Seven is not just talking about veteran cancer. They are building the system that should have existed already: research, education, early screening, direct support, and a free cancer care campus for veterans who are trying to fight this stuff before it is too late. Chelsey breaks down the reality of post-9/11 cancer trends, toxic exposure, burn pits, JP-8, PFAS, chronic stress, gastrointestinal issues, H. pylori, and why “normal for me” does not mean normal. A normal amount of symptoms is zero. Not “deployment stomach.” Not acid reflux forever. Not chronic pain you just learned to live with. Chaci explains why this is not about blaming the Department of War or the services. War has consequences. The issue is whether we are willing to own those consequences early enough to keep people alive. He also gets honest about the veteran hypocrisy most of us live with: we tell everyone else to take care of themselves while ignoring our own symptoms because we do not want to step away from the team. The conversation also hits what Hunter Seven found during SOF Week screenings, why cancer can show up decades earlier than civilian norms, why civilian providers often miss veteran-specific risk factors, and why service members need to stop underreporting pain, GI issues, fatigue, and other symptoms. Hunter Seven also shares what is coming next: their rural Tennessee cancer care campus, the Patriots, Pars, and Pistols event at Pinehurst, and how donations directly support screenings, second opinions, travel, medication, treatment support, and care for veterans. If you are serving, getting ready to serve, or already out, this one matters. Get screened. Tell the truth about your symptoms. Ask better questions. Live long enough to be there for the people who love you. Serve Anyway - Ep 611

Send us Fan Mail Aaron, Trent, and Peaches get into one of the biggest questions future service members keep asking: should you still join the military if you do not like the current political climate, the administration, or where the country seems to be headed? The short version: if politics are enough to stop you from serving, maybe you were looking for a reason not to join anyway. The team breaks down what it actually means to serve under presidents, commanders, senior enlisted leaders, and policies you may not personally agree with. They talk about swearing an oath to the Constitution, not a political party, and why the military forces you to work with people from every possible background, belief system, and worldview. They also get into why military service can change your perspective on America, what you learn from seeing the rest of the world, why Americans have a unique willingness to go get their people, and why discomfort, shared hardship, and serving something bigger than yourself still matter. The episode wraps with a strong shoutout to Jarred Taylor, his impact on the military content space, and his book Deep Scythe — a fictional but highly relevant look at fifth-generation warfare, innovation, and the future fight. USAF PACERFORGE - Ep 610

Send us Fan Mail Aaron and Peaches sit down with TSgt Kaleb Schmidt, a Military Training Instructor working at PACERFORGE, to talk about how Air Force Basic Training is changing and what new Airmen should expect. Kaleb explains what life looks like for MTIs today, how Basic Military Training is modernizing, and why Pacer Forge is more than a new version of Beast Week. The conversation breaks down how trainees are being evaluated through small-team scenarios, squad-based movements, tactical combat casualty care, base defense, nine-line medical evacuation requests, UXO reporting, drone reporting, airfield operations, and decision-making under stress. This episode is for anyone getting ready to ship to Air Force BMT, parents trying to understand what their son or daughter will face, and future Air Force Special Warfare candidates who need to understand that the pipeline starts before the pipeline. The biggest takeaway: show up in shape, be selfless, be ready to think, and be ready to be wrong. Twin Falls Active Shooter

Send us Fan Mail An armed citizen refused to sit back and watch. Aaron and Trent examine the deadly shooting outside an In-N-Out in Twin Falls, Idaho, where a rifle-wielding attacker reportedly killed two people and wounded seven others. They break down the footage, the unanswered questions surrounding the shooter’s motive, and how an armed citizen returning fire may have prevented an even larger massacre. This episode goes beyond the usual gun-control argument. It’s about carrying legally, getting legitimate training, recognizing danger, using whatever options are available, and accepting one ugly reality: denial does not protect you when violence begins. Their message is blunt—being armed without being trained isn’t enough, and waiting for somebody else to save you may cost lives. Jake Paul's Delusional

Send us Fan Mail The confidence is elite. The self-awareness is missing. Aaron breaks down footage allegedly showing a group of Navy SEALs in Venezuela doing their best impression of “totally inconspicuous Americans”—complete with backward hats, full-sleeve tattoos, and oversized fanny packs. Then Jake Paul cranks the delusion up another level by claiming he could walk into the NFL as a slot receiver. Boxing is brutally difficult, but dismissing the experience, athleticism, and football IQ required to compete against the best players on Earth is world-class rage bait. From terrible disguises to comparing yourself with Wes Welker, this edition of Outside The Wire is a master class in confidence outrunning reality. Ep 609: Attention Parents

Send us Fan Mail Peaches sits down with Kaylon, a former Air Force Security Forces military working dog handler, dog trainer, and father of a 17-year-old preparing for Air Force Special Warfare. This episode is for the parents. Kaylon talks about his time as a Security Forces K9 handler at RAF Mildenhall, his deployment experience, working explosive detection dogs, and eventually transitioning into professional dog training. But the real focus of this conversation is what it feels like as a parent when your kid says, “I want to join the military,” and then starts looking at Air Force Special Warfare. They talk about how Kaylon’s son went from considering Navy SEALs to discovering Combat Control, how the family handled that decision, why his mom supports him even while being nervous, and what parents should do when they do not fully understand the path their kid wants to take. Kaylon also breaks down why he sent his son to Operator Training Summit, what the experience did for him, how the cadre helped expose holes in his training, and why the event gave his son more confidence that this is the path he wants. If your son or daughter is talking about CCT, PJ, TACP, Special Reconnaissance, or any other military path that makes you nervous, this episode is a great place to start. Spain INVADED

Send us Fan Mail Spain’s border didn’t bend—it collapsed. In the first edition of Outside The Wire, Aaron, Trent, and Peaches step beyond the usual Air Force Special Warfare conversation to examine the surge of migrants entering Ceuta from Morocco. Aaron breaks down the reported crossings, the Spanish court ruling affecting immediate returns, and why border enforcement decisions carry real humanitarian, financial, and cultural consequences. This is a blunt conversation about illegal immigration, assimilation, national sovereignty, media framing, and what the United States should learn from Europe’s mistakes. No sanitized talking points. Daily Drop 165: Drone War - 28 July 2026

Send us Fan Mail Peaches is back with the Daily Drop for 28 July, covering Army vehicle prototypes, command and control testing, Navy vaccine and transfer policy updates, Marine drone experiments, Coast Guard counter-UUV efforts, testosterone screenings, Iran operations, and some very questionable budget math. The Army is moving forward with Infantry Squad Vehicle Heavy prototypes while Project Convergence prepares to stress-test next-generation command and control gear in the Mojave Desert. The Navy reinstated flu vaccine requirements for certain sailors and changed transfer policy after a sailor’s death, while the USS George Washington strike group is operating in the South China Sea. The Marine Corps is experimenting with medium-sized drones that can launch one-way attack drones, and Marines also tested drone delivery of simulated refrigerated blood during an Australia exercise. Peaches ties that into real-world medical drone delivery and what it could mean for dispersed battlefield sustainment. The Air Force clarified again that waist-to-height ratio measurements will not be scored during the initial rollout, while B-52 modernization remains on cost and schedule after a test aircraft crash. The Coast Guard is looking for technology to detect and defeat unmanned underwater vehicles, because drone swarms are not just an air problem anymore. The episode also covers Pete Hegseth’s testosterone screening initiative for service members over 30, the Pentagon’s $7 billion Oracle contract, Trump’s warning on Iran talks, reclassified Iran war fatalities, one-way surface drones used against Iranian ports, ongoing boat strikes against alleged drug vessels, and Zelensky warning that North Korea may send 30,000 more troops to support Russia. Ops Brief 164: Daily Drop - 27 July 2026 - Iran Cost

Send us Fan Mail Peaches is back with a Daily Drop for 27 July, and this one covers everything from RIMPAC ship-sinking exercises to Iran War costs, Air Force waist-to-height chaos, Space Force powerlifting records, and underwater drone threats. The Army and Navy teamed up during RIMPAC to sink two decommissioned ships, while Lieutenant General Kevin D. Admiral was nominated to command U.S. Army Europe and Africa. Peaches also covers the demolition of defective medical student barracks in Texas, the Navy renaming information professionals as Communication Systems Warfare Officers, and the Air Force clarifying that the new waist-to-height ratio measurement will not be scored during the initial rollout. The Space Force gets a fitness win with a Guardian setting multiple Hawaii powerlifting records, while also pushing experiments for commercial narrowband satellite communications in medium Earth orbit. The Coast Guard is looking for technology to detect and defeat uncrewed underwater vehicles, because apparently drone swarms from the sky were not enough. The episode also hits Secretary of War Pete Hegseth’s $37.5 billion Iran War cost estimate, legal fights over the military’s testosterone policy, Trump pausing strikes on Iran, updated Iran War casualty reporting, Germany pulling ships back from a possible Strait of Hormuz mission, and a $292 million National Guard apartment-style lodging contract for troops in Washington, D.C. Ep 608: Audit Failed

Send us Fan Mail Aaron, Trent, and Peaches are back in the team room talking defense budgets, military waste, the NDAA, future war with China, Space Force, Flock cameras, and why everyone suddenly has feelings about height-to-waist standards. The team breaks down why the Department of War is asking for more money, what the military says it needs to fund, and why that answer still does not solve the bigger problem: nobody can explain where all the money is already going. They talk munitions, drones, shipbuilding, Golden Dome, personnel, aging infrastructure, bloated conferences, pet projects, federal billets, and the fact that the military still cannot pass a clean audit. Then the episode shifts into surveillance and civil liberties with Flock cameras, license plate readers, the Patriot Act, and why “if you did nothing wrong, you have nothing to worry about” is a terrible argument. Finally, the guys get into Air Force height-to-waist standards, body composition, fat bodies in uniform, false positives for built-like-a-fridge humans, and why most people complaining about the standard probably just need to work out and eat less. Send us Fan Mail Aaron, Trent, and Peaches jump into a full Ones Ready FAQ episode covering the questions future Air Force Special Warfare candidates keep asking. The team breaks down long-term training timelines, how to prepare 18 to 24 months out, why Zone 2 matters, how often to ruck, how much weight to use, and why rucking can break you down if you train it stupidly. They also talk pool training for STO phase two, whether losing the Special Warfare BMT flights matters, what to do after a medical disqualification, and how to think about paramedic before the PJ pipeline. The crew also hits TACP, CCT, SR, Ranger School, airborne and free fall opportunities, prior-service retraining, pay, spouse resources, imposter syndrome, down-regulating after stress, and why the next generation needs to focus less on internet rumors and more on performance. Ep 606: Testosterone?

Send us Fan Mail Aaron and Peaches sit down to talk Blue Angels flyovers, testosterone testing, military medicine, height-to-waist standards, and why the military has to get serious about health before people break. The episode starts with the Blue Angels beach flyover debate and whether something can be technically questionable while still being completely awesome. Then the guys get into the bigger conversation around the Department of War pushing testosterone checks for men over 30, why the military medical system has resisted basic hormone testing for years, and how operator syndrome, traumatic brain injuries, cortisol dysfunction, vitamin D deficiency, and low free testosterone can wreck performance and mental health. Aaron talks through his own fight to get blood work done, what the military missed, and why private-sector care finally helped him understand the difference between total testosterone and free testosterone. The conversation also hits height-to-waist standards, fat bodies in uniform, why some people will get flagged unfairly, and why most people need to stop making excuses. The bottom line: fitness is not just about looking good in uniform. It affects mental health, cognitive performance, readiness, durability, and who you become after the military. Ep 605: Mind of a Soldier | Taamir Ransome

Send us Fan Mail Peaches sits down with retired Sergeant Major Taamir Ransome, an Army EOD veteran and author of Mind of a Soldier, to talk about EOD, transition, veteran suicide, purpose after service, and what happens when the war is over but the fight is not. Taamir walks through growing up in New Jersey, joining the Army with a GED, starting out in radar repair, attempting SFAS, and eventually finding his way into Explosive Ordnance Disposal. He explains the differences between Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and Air Force EOD, what makes the career field so small, and why EOD school is one of the hardest technical schools in the military. The conversation also gets into deployments, working around Special Operations Forces, wild stories from Iraq, and the reality that the military creates people who are calibrated differently than the rest of society. Then the episode turns toward Taamir’s book, Mind of a Soldier: 34 Laws for the War After the War. He talks about veteran suicide, transition, moral injury, finding purpose, nonprofits, service dogs, mentorship, and why veterans need to find a new pack and a new mission after leaving the uniform behind. This one is about more than war stories. It is about what comes next. Ep 604: Rucking Woes

Send us Fan Mail Trent jumps on solo to clear the air on the Zulu course ruck controversy, the role of Ones Ready, and why accountability matters when training risk crosses the line. This episode breaks down who Aaron, Peaches, and Trent are, what their backgrounds are, and why they are not just random people throwing rocks from the internet. Trent explains his time in Air Education and Training Command, how curriculum actually gets built, what active duty instructors do and do not control, and why people need to understand the difference between writing content, developing training, and owning a formal course. Then he gets into the real issue: the reported 117-pound ruck, heat injuries, hospitalized students, operational risk management, instructor responsibility, and why a large number of failures or casualties on one event usually points back to instruction, planning, risk management, or leadership decisions. Trent makes it clear that this is not about attacking TACP, Special Warfare Training Wing, or any one career field. It is about protecting candidates, holding the process accountable, and making sure the training meets the intent without unnecessarily putting students’ lives at risk. Ep 603: The Zulu Ruck Problem Is Bigger Than One Event

Send us Fan Mail Aaron, Trent, and Peaches sit down to talk through the ongoing concerns around the Zulu course ruck, heat casualties, instructor accountability, and whether TACP-specific standards should have ever been applied across the entire Air Force Special Warfare pipeline. The team breaks down why the ruck event has become such a major issue, what makes the progression questionable, how the Zulu course ended up with a ruck standard pulled from TACP requirements, and why the problem is bigger than one bad day in San Antonio heat. They also address the difference between hard training and bad programming, the role of instructional drift, why students may not feel safe giving honest feedback, and why parents, candidates, instructors, and leadership all deserve transparency when multiple students end up hospitalized. This episode is not about lowering standards. It is about applying the right standards at the right time, protecting students from preventable injury, and fixing a system before it breaks more people. Ep 602: SOF-TACP Lessons From Clint “Dragon”

Send us Fan Mail Peaches sits down with retired SOF-TACP Clint “Dragon” to talk TACP, Special Tactics, mission planning, leadership, problem solving, and what separates a good operator from someone who just looks good on paper. Dragon walks through growing up around Fort Bragg, joining the Air Force in 2006, originally looking at CCT, choosing TACP, starting at the 15th ASOS, assessing for the 17th STS, and spending the majority of his career in the Special Operations side of the TACP world. The conversation gets into the difference between conventional and SOF-TACP life, the mindset shift in the career field, entitlement, grit, the danger of over-reliance on technology, and why the next generation is more capable than people give them credit for — but still needs to be led. Dragon also breaks down mission planning, danger close strikes, JTAC creativity, command presence, briefing under pressure, training younger guys, taking a knee when family life is burning down, and why the best operators are complex problem solvers who can still win a fight. The episode also covers retirement, fatherhood, false accusations, private sector friction, writing a book, TBI and PTSD treatment options, and why passing lessons to the next generation still matters.
