Peaches is back with a Daily Drop for 27 July, and this one covers everything from RIMPAC ship-sinking exercises to Iran War costs, Air Force waist-to-height chaos, Space Force powerlifting records, and underwater drone threats.

The Army and Navy teamed up during RIMPAC to sink two decommissioned ships, while Lieutenant General Kevin D. Admiral was nominated to command U.S. Army Europe and Africa. Peaches also covers the demolition of defective medical student barracks in Texas, the Navy renaming information professionals as Communication Systems Warfare Officers, and the Air Force clarifying that the new waist-to-height ratio measurement will not be scored during the initial rollout.

The Space Force gets a fitness win with a Guardian setting multiple Hawaii powerlifting records, while also pushing experiments for commercial narrowband satellite communications in medium Earth orbit. The Coast Guard is looking for technology to detect and defeat uncrewed underwater vehicles, because apparently drone swarms from the sky were not enough.

The episode also hits Secretary of War Pete Hegseth’s $37.5 billion Iran War cost estimate, legal fights over the military’s testosterone policy, Trump pausing strikes on Iran, updated Iran War casualty reporting, Germany pulling ships back from a possible Strait of Hormuz mission, and a $292 million National Guard apartment-style lodging contract for troops in Washington, D.C.
