Lawson Veit is the Men's Open Division Champion from the first ever ASA Bowhunter Games. Hosted this past weekend in Clarksville, TN the event was a new format competition for hunting setups with a 5 target shootoff for $60,000. Lawson walks us thru the event and what we would like to see more of in the future as ASA branches out to reach more of the bowhunting community. Lawson shoots for Elite Archery, Truball, Altra, Scott and Lindenwood Academy. Oklahoma Archery Podcast 125 with Casey Gamble
The 5th Annual Get Western Challenge is scheduled for Aug 9th is coming back to Hutchinson, KS. Registration opens at 7:00am and Shooter meeting at 8:00am. Heats start on the range at 8:30am! This event is designed to test your physicality and prepare you for western hunting scenarios. Archers can expect to walk between 2.25 and 3.5 miles with various obstacles designed to test your mettle with a bow in hand. Registration is $50 and they are giving away a fantastic selection of prizes. Cash payouts for 1st through 3rd place and items from elk calls, yeti coolers, SHOT 3Dx day passes and everything else you need to conquer the mountain.
