They can return home once they solve their final mystery. TFD wears a classic noir trench coat that’s filled with adorable, cuddling critters that are the bodiless spirits of mysteries that need to be solved. Their power increases based on the amount of unsolved mysteries in the coat. TFD’s furry face can shift into any of the faces associated with the mysteries in their coat. TFD gains some of that spirit’s memories, mannerisms, and helps them blend into different situations. Strange music plays while the face transformation takes place. Photos of TFD come out blurry, and they have the power to make others not remember them if they wish. He’s a waxy fella with a beeswaxed mustache and slicked back hair. He has a ten-foot aura of coldness that surrounds him. His weakness is his susceptibility to melt when near a natural heat source. Half of his face is melted from a previous incident.The Candleman sells mundane and magick candles from the shadows. Cursed Candles: Wise Wick: Green candle. When lit, it causes underbrush to grow around you. Moon Blossom: Purple candle. When lit, it causes an illusionary night. Bubble Buddy: White candle. When lit, a very niche assistant spokesperson is summoned. Cinnamonster & Spice: Red candle. When lit, it summons a horrible netherbeast to do your bidding. The Glowworm: Neon yellow. When lit, it grows into a long, twisting rope of wax that opens up a portal / tunnel. Candle ‘O Death: Black candle. The PPP (Psychedelic Projection Pillow): This magic item is a pillow made of rock, yet it’s incredibly comfortable to sleep on. A process of smashing a humanoid body against this rock is called ‘Blood-Painting,’ as gory sacrifices are necessary as material spell components. If one is blood-painted and dies, their ghost is locked into the PPP. Smashing a PPP returns the stolen dreams to their owner, and releases the ghosts trapped within. Uses of the PPP are as follows: Dream Projection: all of the stolen dreams and ghosts’ memories merge together in a psychedelic mélange of images and color. A target hit directly with a dream projection must save or become hypnotized. Ghost Glean: When you sleep on a PPP, you commune with the ghosts trapped within and may attempt to glean information that they knew in life. Each combatant is given a specialized pogo stick and its matching paper weapon. They start on the top platform and fight in a battle royale to the last person standing. Anyone who touches the contents of the pit is eliminated. We talk Forbidden Psalms, Liminal Horror RPG, the Cairn 2E box set, The Ghosts of Zoazanna Mountain, Survivors of the Core Wars: an NPC deck for Mothership RPG, and Seas of Sand by Sam Sorensen Follow Jarrett Crader: Website - X - Instagram MD 405 - H.O.M.E.: Sly Motherships w/ Jarrett Crader On the top of a frozen mountaintop is H.O.M.E., the current nesting grounds of sentient spaceships called motherships. Each mothership lies hidden under the snow where it has burrowed a nest to incubate their kinderships in the cold. Nesting grounds can be found in any planet’s arctic conditions during their nesting season. Each metallic black mothership is the size of a city, and has a birthing canal that slingshots out 1d4 kinderships at the conclusion of the birthing season. They launch out of this tube at rocket speed, flying into space before returning to their mothership. The motherships defend themselves with a psychedelic avalanche of kaleidoscopic snow. When hit, you go on a psychedelic trip for 1d4 days. People use this as a recreational drug called S.N.O.W. Snow Angels are a thrill-seeking hobbyist group that follows the motherships to their birthing grounds to have a big gay dance party surrounding the birthing event. They sell mag-boots specifically designed to traverse a mothership’s exterior and subdue the effects of psychedelic avalanches to recreational levels. Kinderships are one-of-a-kind smaller sentient spaceships that can fit a crew of 2-10 people, depending on the ship’s proportions. They grow very slowly, over hundreds of years, to eventually become a mothership. They will stay with their parental mothership until they find a crew that’s worthy of them. Smith The Championship Belt of the Verdant Wastes was created by a primeval nature spirit named Creature of the Green. The belt has its own ecosystem of greenery, moss and fungus that’s seen with the naked eye, but on its surface is a civilization of microscopic mushroom folk called Foos. Like professional wrestlers and gods, the belt gains its power through devotion to the wearer. You must complete a previous level before moving on to the next level. Level 1: The Foos worship you as their god. When you walk, a trail of lush greenery follows your steps. As The Green Walker, you can be a savoir to the wastelands. Level 2: A crowd is currently cheering you on. Conjure vines to create a pro wrestling stadium with a ring for 24 hours. You gain bonuses for performing rope maneuvers. She has a second face on her torso that fires out a hot pizza pie that causes fire and bludgeoning damage. That pizza then stands up as one of the three minions (see below). Pizza minion wrestling warriors: 1) Pepperoni & Dynamite Pie: Explodes when it hits you causing 10 feet of splash damage. Becomes an animated pizza wrestler with a spicy attitude and has the move “The TNT Stunner.” 2) Laser-Mushrooms Pie: Fires like a chakram weapon with a mushroom-powered laser edge. If hit, there’s a 10% chance to lose 1d4 fingers. It becomes an animated pizza yogi that strikes with gooey, stretching appendages. 3) Hawaiian Pie: When hit, this pineapple and ham pizza charms or repulses the target with fear, depending on their feelings about Hawaiian pizza. It becomes animate and performs a hypno-hula-dance. It will put a molten cheese lei around the neck of those under its thrall, or a burnt-tongue kiss that’ll burn the roof of your mouth. MD 401 Toe-Based Space Wizards w/ Zach Cowan (aka Bat Alchemist, producer of the Mad Dungeon podcast)

Our guest this week is our Mad Dungeon producer, the Bat Alchemist himself, Zach Cowan, a location sound recordist and video producer located in Atlanta. We talk about what season four is all about: We’re making a zine of TTRPG content to use in your home games with each of our guests contributing a page or two, while continuing to utilize our ‘mad dice’ improv style of word play. Andrew has his first child, working on lots of art, his job as the in-house game designer and editor at Exalted Funeral. Steve talks about the industrial music Mystic Punks adventure he wrote. Wiggle Toe - They cast smelly spells, like stink bomb and unknown scent, by wiggling their toes. Wiggle Toe can’t smell the stank, but everyone else does. 2. Tough Toe - arms and legs are all big toes. They cast gravity-based crushing spells. 3. Blaze Bunion - a giant foot with a head where the ankle would connect to the foot. Casts bunion, a spell that causes painful bony bumps to grow in a target’s joints, making them stiff. 4. Turf Toe-ny - They cast healing spells, particularly heeling, which causes sore feet to relax and become rejuvenated. 5. Split Nail - Fires off adamantine toe nail projectiles that when hit causes the target’s nails to painfully split in half. 6. Flat-Arch Mage - Casts spells that hinder your dexterity. Being hit by any of their spells causes fallen arches, and the target becomes flat-footed. 7. Crevice Pressure Witch - She shrinks to go into small places, then grows back to full size to explode them. 8. Toe Jam Courier - They pilot a space mech angel to deliver jars of toe fungus to beings who think it’s delicious. They have magic space cleats that: power the mech, allows them to walk on any surface regardless of gravity, and gives them a shredding force kick. MD 312 Season Finale - Goblin Kings and Popstars Sing - Rise of the Vat Spawn (actual play)

Season Finale - Goblin Kings and Popstars Sing Bat Alchemist uses gym-kata to make his way through the swarm of goblins dance-fighting to Enrique Iglesias. He moves under the bleachers and sees bad-kid goblins smoking cigarettes and making out. He melts them with an acid potion. Warlock Rock hits a button that raises a fashion-show catwalk in the center of the room. She sashays her way to the Goblin King, does a diving punch, but misses and lands sprawled out on the floor behind him. Dragon Warrior runs on the top of goblin heads and lands on Lotto the demon dog, and commands Lotto to breath fire on the goblins while running to the goblin king. Rocky-Staroth tries to regain control of Lotto the demon dog, but Dragon Warrior maintains control. Dragon Warrior miscasts the spell Poison Lick of Fug making his own face quite gross. Tiger Wizard misses whacking the goblin king with his wand. The goblin king polymorphes Tiger Wizard into a goblin adorned with goblin skulls… he’s now Goblin Wizard. Ariana, polymorphed into a goblin (Gobliana), successfully snaps Tiger Wizard out of his polymorphed mind control, then takes a Gobliana-sized bite out of the Goblin King’s leg. Goblin Wizard climbs up the human-sized Goblin King’s shoulder, wacks him in the face with his wand Dorkus, then gruesomely peels the mask off of the Goblin King. Goo, like pizza cheese, still connects between the mask and the Goblin King’s face. Goblin Wizard puts the mask on becoming the new Goblin Wizard King. He begins to succumb to its power, including growing a tiger-demon face on his torso. He uses the mask to calm down the throng of goblins. Dragon Warrior stabs Rocky-Staroth in the chest with his soul-bound sword. Bat Alchemist strong-arms Rocky-Staroth into teaching Goblin Wizard how to use the mask. He turns Ariana back into a human. Goblin Wizard finishes off Rocky-Staroth and puts everyone back to work for Dr. Dre-colich. Warlock Rock makes friends with Ariana, and all of the Vat Spawn ride off into the sunset with Ariana for future adventures involving a mysterious Beibataur.
