Lose Weight For The Last Time

Laura Conley

Welcome to Lose Weight for the Last Time, the podcast for women who are done with dieting, food drama, and starting over every Monday.

I’m Laura Conley, life coach and creator of the Yummy Mummy method, and I’m here to show you that permanent weight loss doesn’t come from more restriction, more tracking, or more willpower, it comes from changing how you think.

If you’ve tried everything... calorie counting, macros, cutting carbs, over-exercising... and still feel stuck… it’s not because you’re broken. It’s because you’ve been taught methods that don’t last.

On this podcast, you’ll learn how to:

→ Lose weight without giving up the foods you love

→ Stop emotional eating and constant cravings

→ Quiet the food chatter in your brain

→ Feel in control around food... without obsession

→ Create results that actually stick for life

The Psychology of Weight Loss, Pleasure as a Strategy, and Stopping the "I'll Be Happy When"

This week Laura is sharing a conversation she did as a guest on the We Shine Well podcast with host Zoë Kelsey — and it's one of the most honest, wide-ranging interviews Laura has done in a long time. Zoë draws out the full origin story: the month in the hospital with her newborn daughter, the shower that changed everything, and the moment Laura realized she'd been passing down a relationship with food and her body that she desperately wanted to break. They go deep on the psychology of weight loss, why pleasure is a strategy not a reward, what food noise actually is and where it comes from, and how to stop living in the "I'll be happy when" and start designing the life you want right now. A beautiful conversation. So glad to be sharing it here. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Look Back With Love: How to Recover Without the Spiral (ft. Client Ali's Story)

This episode is Day 6 from Laura's Lose 5 Pounds While Life Is Life-ing Challenge, and it's one of the most real, most relatable sessions she's ever recorded. Client Ally joins live to share her story, and challenger Brenna shares a moment that will stop you in your tracks: seeing herself in a video her son was making, and finding her bigger why right there on the screen. Plus, Laura teaches one of her favorite concepts... looking back with love. The "oops" thought that changes everything about how you recover when things don't go to plan. This is what the rewiring process looks like in living color. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Your Miserable Mummy Playlist: The Thoughts Running Your Food Choices (And How to Change the Radio Station)

This episode is Day 3 from Laura's recent Lose 5 Pounds While Life Is Life-ing Challenge, and it's so good she had to bring it to the podcast. The topic: belief. And more specifically, the thoughts running underneath your food choices that you've probably never even noticed. Laura calls them your Miserable Mummy mantras, the little loops your lower brain plays on repeat. It's just one bite. I've been so good. I need something. It won't hurt. Sound familiar? This episode is where you find them, name them, and learn how to change the radio station for good. Plus.... client Erica joins live and shares what it's actually like to live on the other side. Throwback: A Conversation with My Husband

This one is personal. In this episode, Laura sits down with her husband Brian to talk about what it was actually like - from his perspective - to be in a relationship with someone who was obsessed with food, her weight, and the next diet. And what it's like now that she's on the other side.\ If you've ever worried that changing the way you eat will affect your relationship, your social life, or the way you show up as a mom, this episode is going to put that fear to rest. For good. This is one of our most downloaded episodes ever, and we're bringing it back for summer because it hits just as hard in 2026 as the day we recorded it. Hosted on Acast. What If Nothing Is Wrong... But You Still Want Something Different? (+ my life and biz update)

Hey babes! This episode is a little different—and honestly, a little vulnerable. I'm pulling back the curtain on a big decision I've made for this summer: I'm taking a semi-sabbatical. Not because I'm burned out. Not because I don't love my business. And definitely not because I'm quitting coaching. In fact, this whole process has made one thing crystal clear: I absolutely LOVE coaching women and helping them lose weight for the last time. But somewhere along the way, I realized that even though I left corporate America to create more freedom, I had slowly become an employee in my own business. My schedule wasn't changing for summer. My priorities weren't changing for summer. And that's when I knew something needed to shift. In this episode, I'm sharing why I'm slowing down, what I'm learning about ambition, motherhood, self-care, and what it really means to create a life you actually want to live. We talk about overworking, people-pleasing, parenting, entrepreneurship, family systems, and how to stop building a life you need a vacation from. If you've been feeling stretched too thin, pulled in a million directions, or wondering what YOU actually want, this conversation is for you. Listen in to hear: - Why I'm taking a semi-sabbatical this summer - The wake-up call that made me realize my life needed to change - How I became an employee inside my own business - Why slowing down feels wildly uncomfortable (and why I'm doing it anyway) - The difference between working in your family and working on your family - How to create your own "Summer Of..." theme and use it to guide decisions - Why you can have it all—but you can't do it all - The question every woman should be asking herself: What do I actually want? - How I'm redefining success, ambition, motherhood, and freedom And if you want support creating your own Best Summer Ever while still making progress toward a big goal, come join us inside Best Summer Ever! We're kicking off July 6 and running through August 31 with Voxer coaching, coaching calls, co-working sessions, accountability, and all the support you need to create something incredible while becoming obsessed with your actual life. Grab your spot here: https://portal.lauraconley.com/best-summer-ever-2026 Or send me a DM on Instagram and I'll point you in the right direction. I love you all. Have the absolute best summer ever. 💖 Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Shots Fired: Why GLP-1s Alone Won’t Create Permanent Weight Loss

Shots fired, babes. In today’s episode, I’m talking all about GLP-1s, peptides, and why they can be an amazing tool—but they are not the whole entire picture if you want to lose weight for the last time. Here’s the thing: if you’ve ever thought, Why can’t I just stick to this? What is wrong with me? Do I need more willpower? Am I just broken?—I want you to hear me loud and clear: you are not broken. You are not the problem. This is a method problem. You just haven’t been taught the actual solution yet. In this episode, I’m breaking down why so many women have misdiagnosed the problem when it comes to weight loss. We think the answer is more restriction, more protein, more workouts, more fasting, upping our GLP-1 dose, getting off GLP-1s, or finding the “perfect” plan. But if we’re solving the wrong problem, we’re going to keep applying the wrong solution—and that is what keeps us stuck in the shame spiral, the over-restriction cycle, and the throw-in-the-towel drama. We’re getting into the five missing pieces most women ignore, where GLP-1s actually fit in, and where they don’t. Because yes, peptides can support hunger hormones and reduce cravings—but they don’t fix emotional eating, self-sabotage, diet brain, inconsistency, or the deeper root of why you keep turning to food when hunger isn’t the problem. Listen in to hear: - Why willpower is NOT the reason you haven’t lost weight for the last time - How misdiagnosing the problem keeps you stuck in the wrong solutions - The five real reasons weight loss feels so hard - Where GLP-1s and peptides fit into the toolbox—and where they don’t - Why emotional eating doesn’t disappear just because your hunger is quieter - How the Yummy Mummy Method helps balance hunger hormones with or without peptides - Why accountability, self-care, fun, and love are non-negotiable parts of permanent weight loss - Why you actually want to learn this skill when life is lifeing—not when your calendar is magically pristine If you know you need more than just one tool in your toolbox, come join us inside the Yummy Mummy Experience. We start next week and there are just a few spots left. Book your call at lauraconley.com and let’s get you losing weight for the last time. And if you’re curious about peptides or wondering whether a GLP-1 microdose or therapeutic dose is right for you, you can also book a call with me and we’ll talk through it together. You can learn more at elliemd.com/lauraconley You are not broken, babe. You just need the right method, the right tools, and people holding your hand while you learn how to become a free woman.
