Answers with Ken Ham - Getting Goosebumps

This is Ken Ham, founder of Answers in Genesis, the Creation Museum, and Ark Encounter. All this week we’ve looked at the claim that our bodies are full of useless evolutionary leftovers, and we’ve seen this argument is, well, useless! As our last example, we’ll look at goosebumps. These bumps form when tiny muscles contract, pulling the hair upright. In furry mammals, this helps increase fur’s insulation but, since it doesn’t do that for us, some people say goosebumps are useless. But this muscle action creates extra heat, draws oil to your skin as moisturizer, and heightens our sensitivity in a threatening situation. Since we didn’t evolve, we don’t have useless structures. Insight for Living Daily Broadcast - Changing a Leper’s Spots, Part 2

Mark 1:40–45 Some conditions run deeper than the skin, and so does the shame that comes with them. A leper knelt before Jesus with a desperate plea: “If You are willing, You can make me clean.” Moved with compassion, Jesus touched the untouchable. Pastor Chuck Swindoll teaches from Mark 1:40–45, illustrating how leprosy in the Bible mirrors the spiritual disease of sin—an internal condition beyond every human remedy. Only Jesus has the power to cleanse. Acknowledge the leprosy within and reach for the only One who can make you clean. His compassion and healing power are as real today as they were in the first century!
