Leave What Is Haram and See What Happens! | Ustadh Abu Taymiyyah: Lessons from Surah Al-Kahf

What happens when you sacrifice something for the sake of Allah? Many people fear that giving up a sinful habit, an unhealthy relationship, unlawful income or a worldly desire will leave them with less than they had before. But the stories found in Surah Al-Kahf teach us a very different lesson: whatever is abandoned for the sake of Allah is never truly lost. In this powerful reminder, Ustadh Abu Taymiyyah reflects upon the timeless lessons of Surah Al-Kahf and reminds us that Allah always knows what is best for His servants. Through the stories of the People of the Cave, Musa (Moses) and Al-Khidr, and Dhul-Qarnayn, we are reminded that patience, sincerity, sacrifice and trust in Allah ultimately lead to success. This lecture explores the reality of choosing obedience over desire and the importance of remaining steadfast, even when the path seems difficult. Leaving the haram can be painful, but believers trust that Allah’s promise is true and that every sacrifice made for His sake will be rewarded. In this episode, you’ll learn: Lessons from Surah Al-Kahf What happens when you leave the haram for the sake of Allah The importance of tawakkul (reliance upon Allah) Why patience (sabr) is essential for every believer How Allah replaces what is lost with something better The importance of sincerity and steadfastness How to overcome temptation and worldly distractions The wisdom behind Allah’s tests and trials Strengthening your relationship with Allah through sacrifice and obedience The believer understands that this life is temporary and that true success lies in pleasing Allah. Every sacrifice, every struggle and every act of obedience is seen by Allah, even when nobody else knows about it. Sometimes the greatest blessings arrive only after we are willing to let go of the things that stand between us and our Creator. May this reminder strengthen our faith, increase our trust in Allah and give us the courage to abandon that which displeases Him. How do you discover the talents, abilities and opportunities that Allah has specifically entrusted to you? This lecture encourages believers to move beyond simply existing and instead strive to live intentionally, making the best use of their time, abilities and knowledge for the sake of Allah. Rather than chasing status, wealth or recognition, this reminder challenges us to ask a more important question: How can I use the gifts that Allah has given me to benefit others and draw closer to Him? This episode explores the importance of self-awareness, discipline, sincerity and ihsan (excellence), showing how a believer can develop their abilities while maintaining a strong connection with Allah. In this episode, you’ll learn: How to discover the strengths and abilities that Allah has given you The importance of intention (niyyah) in pursuing your goals How to identify the areas in which you naturally excel Why ihsan (excellence) should be the standard in everything you do How to align your skills with the needs of the Ummah The difference between simply being busy and truly living with purpose How discipline, consistency and sincere effort lead to long-term success Why serving others can become an act of worship How to build a life centred upon faith, growth and contribution Every believer has been entrusted with unique gifts, experiences and opportunities. True success is not found in fame, wealth or status alone. True success is found in living a life of sincerity, purpose and obedience to Allah while striving to benefit His creation. Habits That Destroy Your Iman & Focus | Ustadh Abdulrahman Hassan

In a world filled with endless distractions, many of us find ourselves constantly occupied but rarely fulfilled. We spend hours watching, discussing and analysing the lives of other people while neglecting our own responsibilities, goals and relationship with Allah. In this powerful Islamic reminder, Ustadh Abdulrahman Hassan explains why protecting your time, attention and focus is essential for success in this life and the next. Drawing upon the Qur’an, the Sunnah and the statements of the righteous predecessors, this lecture reminds us that one of the greatest causes of failure is becoming preoccupied with matters that do not concern us. Backbiting, gossip, excessive entertainment, social media addiction, constantly following the affairs of others and neglecting self-accountability can slowly weaken a person’s heart, destroy productivity and waste the precious time that Allah has entrusted to us. This reminder encourages believers to shift their attention away from distractions and towards worship, self-improvement, beneficial knowledge and sincere obedience to Allah. Rather than criticising the faults of others, we should strive to correct our own shortcomings and prepare for the Day of Judgement. ’Umar ibn al-Khattab (ra) famously advised: “Take account of yourselves before you are brought to account.” In this episode, you’ll learn: Why constantly focusing on other people can damage your own life How social media, gossip and backbiting destroy focus and productivity The Islamic principle of occupying yourself with what truly concerns you The importance of muhasabah (self-accountability) How low aspirations can prevent spiritual growth Why protecting your time is essential in Islam The characteristics of highly focused and disciplined believers How to avoid becoming spiritually bankrupt on the Day of Judgement Practical ways to develop discipline, focus and consistency Every moment of life is a blessing from Allah and an opportunity to earn reward. Once time has passed, it can never be recovered. The believer understands that success is not found in observing the lives of others but in strengthening their own faith, purifying their own heart and fulfilling their own responsibilities. May this reminder encourage us to value our time, protect our focus, increase our worship and dedicate our attention to that which brings us closer to Allah. Coming Back to Allah Through Tawbah (Repentance) | Islamic Speech by Hisham Abu Yusuf

No matter what you’ve done, no matter how many times you’ve fallen, and no matter how far you feel from Allah, the door of tawbah (repentance) remains open. In this powerful Islamic reminder, Hisham Abu Yusuf explores the life-changing reality of sincere repentance in Islam. Tawbah is far more than simply asking for forgiveness—it is a journey of returning to Allah with humility, regret, hope and a sincere commitment to change. Many people believe their sins are too great to be forgiven or that they have gone too far to return. Yet Allah, the Most Merciful, repeatedly calls His servants back to Him and promises forgiveness for those who sincerely repent. No matter your past, your future can begin with one sincere moment of turning back to Allah. This lecture explores the true meaning of tawbah, the barriers that prevent repentance, and the practical steps every Muslim can take to rebuild their relationship with Allah. It also explains how Shaytan deceives people through excuses, denial, complacency and despair, keeping them trapped in cycles of sin and preventing them from experiencing Allah’s mercy. In this episode, you’ll learn: The meaning of tawbah (repentance) in Islam Why Allah loves those who constantly repent How sincere repentance transforms the heart The conditions of accepted tawbah How to overcome guilt, shame and despair The dangers of justifying and becoming comfortable with sin How Shaytan prevents people from returning to Allah Why no sin is greater than Allah’s mercy How to break free from recurring sins The importance of self-accountability (muhasabah) Building taqwa (God-consciousness) through sincere repentance How repentance leads to inner peace, spiritual growth and closeness to Allah Every believer sins, but the best of those who sin are those who continually return to Allah. A single moment of sincere repentance can change the direction of your life, purify your heart and strengthen your connection with your Creator. If you have ever wondered whether Allah could forgive you, or if you feel weighed down by your past, this reminder is for you. Never lose hope in the mercy of Allah. As long as you are alive, the opportunity to return to Him remains. Speaker: Hisham Abu Yusuf Audio Credit & Disclaimer We own none of the audio featured in this episode. Trust Allah With Every Affair | Names of Allah: Al-Wakil | Islamic Speech by Shaykh Mikaeel Smith

In this powerful reminder, we reflect on one of Allah’s Beautiful Names: Al-Wakil (The Trustee, The Disposer of Affairs). This Name reminds us that Allah is the One who perfectly manages every affair, protects His servants and never fails those who sincerely place their trust in Him. Belief in Al-Wakil does not mean abandoning effort or expecting results without action. Rather, it teaches us the true meaning of tawakkul: striving with excellence, taking the lawful means available to us, making sincere du’a, and then leaving the outcome to Allah, knowing that His plan is always better than our own. Whether you are facing hardship, anxiety, financial pressure, uncertainty, loss or an important life decision, remembering that Allah is Al-Wakil brings peace to the heart. He knows what we cannot see, plans what we cannot comprehend and provides in ways we could never imagine. In this episode, you’ll learn: The meaning of Allah’s Name Al-Wakeel What true tawakkul looks like in everyday life The balance between effort and reliance upon Allah Why believers should trust Allah during hardship and uncertainty How Allah manages every affair with perfect wisdom Finding peace through Allah’s decree (qadr) Overcoming fear, stress and anxiety through faith Why Allah is sufficient for those who place their trust in Him Strengthening your relationship with Allah through His Beautiful Names A believer understands that success does not come from their own ability alone. We plan, work, strive and make du’a, but we never place our ultimate trust in ourselves or the worldly means. Our hearts remain attached to Allah, knowing that whatever He decrees is better than anything we could have planned for ourselves. May this reminder strengthen your tawakkul, increase your certainty in Allah’s promise, and help you find comfort in knowing that Allah is Al-Wakil—the One who is sufficient for every believer and the best Guardian over every affair. When Things Don't Go Your Way | Names of Allah Series: Al-Qabid & Al-Basit | Sheikh Mikaeel Smith

Life rarely unfolds exactly as we imagine. There are moments when doors open effortlessly, and others when opportunities disappear, plans are delayed and our hearts feel weighed down. How should a believer understand these changing seasons? In this reminder, we reflect on two of Allah’s Beautiful Names: Al-Qabid (The One Who Constricts) and Al-Basit (The One Who Expands). Together, these names teach us that Allah is in complete control of every expansion and every restriction we experience. Whether it is our wealth, health, relationships, time, opportunities or inner peace, nothing is given or withheld except through His perfect wisdom. As believers, we are reminded that hardship is not always a punishment, just as ease is not always a reward. Sometimes Allah narrows our circumstances to increase our dependence upon Him, protect us from harm, purify our hearts or redirect us towards something better. At other times, He expands our blessings as a test of our gratitude, humility and obedience. Understanding these Names helps transform the way we view life’s ups and downs. Instead of becoming frustrated by delays or overly attached to worldly success, we learn to trust Allah’s decree (qadr), rely upon Him through tawakkul, remain patient with sabr, and respond with shukr in times of abundance. In this episode, you’ll learn: The meanings of Allah’s Names Al-Qabid and Al-Basit Why Allah sometimes withholds before He gives How hardship can become a source of guidance and spiritual growth Why ease and difficulty are both tests from Allah Developing tawakkul during uncertainty Finding contentment with Allah’s qadr (Divine Decree) Strengthening yaqeen (certainty) in Allah’s wisdom How every trial can bring a believer closer to Allah Recognising Allah’s mercy in both expansion and restriction The believer finds peace knowing that Allah never decrees without wisdom. Every closed door, every answered du’a, every delay, every blessing and every trial is part of His perfect plan. What He expands, He expands with wisdom. What He withholds, He withholds with wisdom. May this reminder increase our understanding of Allah’s Beautiful Names, strengthen our faith, deepen our trust in His plan and help us remain steadfast through every season of life. When Sinning Becomes Normal: A Warning for Every Muslim | Ustadh Abdulrahman Hassan

Why do some people continue committing sins without feeling any guilt, while others are deeply affected after a single mistake? In this powerful Islamic reminder, Ustadh Abdulrahman Hassan explains one of the greatest spiritual dangers facing every believer: the gradual hardening of the heart through persistent sin. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught that when a person commits a sin, a black spot appears upon the heart. If they sincerely repent, stop the sin and seek Allah’s forgiveness, the heart is cleansed. But if they continue committing sins without repentance, the black spots increase until they begin to cover and harden the heart. At first, a sin may bring guilt, regret and even tears. But when the same wrongdoing is repeated, it can gradually become easier. What once disturbed the heart can become a habit, and what became a habit can eventually become part of a person’s identity. The most frightening stage is when someone no longer feels remorse and begins to see their sins as normal, harmless or even appealing. This lecture explores how Shaytan beautifies evil deeds and makes disobedience appear attractive. It also reminds us that spiritual numbness does not happen overnight. It often develops through repeatedly ignoring guilt, delaying repentance and refusing to respond to the warnings within the heart. However, the heart can be purified. Sincere tawbah, seeking Allah’s forgiveness, remembering Allah and performing righteous deeds can remove the effects of sin and bring the heart back to life. Good deeds erase bad deeds, strengthen faith and help a believer rebuild their connection with Allah. In this episode, you’ll learn: The hadith about black spots appearing on the heart How repeated sins harden and darken the heart Why Shaytan beautifies evil deeds How sins can gradually become habits Why losing remorse is a dangerous spiritual warning The importance of sincere tawbah and seeking forgiveness How good deeds help erase the effects of bad deeds How righteous actions purify and soften the heart Why feeling guilty after sin can be a mercy from Allah How to protect yourself from becoming spiritually numb The importance of remembering Allah and regularly examining your heart Every believer makes mistakes, but the best of those who sin are those who continually return to Allah in repentance. Feeling remorse is not a weakness. It can be a sign that the heart is still alive and that Allah is giving you another opportunity to return to Him. The real danger begins when sin no longer troubles the heart. That is why a believer should never delay repentance or underestimate a wrongdoing simply because it appears small. Small sins can accumulate, just as small black spots can eventually cover the heart. At the same time, no believer should lose hope in Allah’s mercy. A heart damaged by sin can be cleansed through sincere repentance and righteous deeds. Prayer, charity, Qur’an, dhikr, seeking forgiveness and acts of kindness can strengthen faith and help restore the heart. May this reminder encourage us to examine our hearts, abandon our sins, increase our good deeds, seek Allah’s forgiveness and ask Him to keep our hearts firm upon His religion. How Allah Acts Through Worldly Means | The True Cause Behind Every Outcome | Islamic Speech by Ousama Alshurafa

We often believe that the means are what produce the result. Food satisfies our hunger. Medicine brings healing. Hard work creates success. Skill wins competitions. But Islam teaches a deeper reality: the means themselves possess no independent power. Every outcome occurs only because Allah wills it. In this powerful Islamic reminder, Ousama Alshurafa explains the true Islamic understanding of cause and effect, showing that Allah alone creates every result while worldly means are simply part of His wisdom and divine decree. We are commanded to take the means, but our hearts should rely upon Allah alone. A person may eat and remain hungry. Someone may receive treatment and not recover. One athlete may prepare perfectly and still lose, while another succeeds against the odds. These examples remind us that the means do not independently produce outcomes. Success, provision, healing, victory and every blessing come only by Allah’s permission. The Qur’an teaches that nothing occurs without Allah’s knowledge and decree. Every event, from the smallest detail to the greatest worldly affair, reflects His perfect wisdom. Recognising Allah’s hand behind every moment transforms the way we view hardship, success, patience, gratitude and trust. In this episode you’ll learn: • How Allah acts through worldly means • The Islamic understanding of cause and effect • Why worldly means do not independently create outcomes • The meaning of tawakkul (reliance upon Allah) • How qadr (the Divine Decree) shapes every aspect of life • Why Allah is the Best of Planners • Why what was written for you will always reach you • Why what was never meant for you could never have reached you • How to trust Allah during hardship, uncertainty and delay • How recognising Allah’s signs increases faith, patience and gratitude This reminder encourages us to shift our focus from the creation to the Creator. We continue to work hard, seek treatment, pursue knowledge and take the appropriate means, but we recognise that Allah alone controls every outcome. Every blessing is from Allah. Every trial happens with His wisdom. Every opportunity comes by His permission. Every closed door contains wisdom, even if we cannot yet see it. May this lecture strengthen your tawakkul, deepen your yaqeen (certainty), and increase your trust in Allah’s perfect plan. The Night Prayer (Tahajjud) Is Powerful! | Ustadh Abdulrahman Hassan

There is a time in the night when the world goes quiet. The distractions fade. The noise disappears. And most people are asleep. But there are believers that rise. In this powerful Islamic reminder, Ustadh Abdulrahman Hassan speaks about the night prayer, qiyam al-layl, tahajjud, and the secret strength Allah places in the hearts of those who leave their beds for Him. The night prayer is not just another act of worship. It is a sign of sincerity. A moment of closeness. A private conversation between the servant and their Rabb. It is where iman is strengthened, sins are washed away, du’a is poured out, tears become worship, and the heart learns to depend on Allah alone. Allah tells us in the Qur’an to rise in the night for prayer, as an extra act of worship, so that He may raise His servant to a station of praise. And the Prophet ﷺ taught us that the best prayer after the obligatory prayers is the night prayer. This is the worship of those who want more than routine Islam. It is for the one seeking khushu, taqwa, sabr, yaqeen, ikhlas, forgiveness, barakah, guidance, and nearness to Allah. It is for the believer who knows that strength is not built only in public, but in the hidden moments no one sees. In the last part of the night, when du’a is made and forgiveness is sought, the servant turns back to Allah with a heart that is tired of the dunya and hungry for the Akhirah. The Prophet ﷺ described this time as a time when Allah calls His servants to ask from Him, seek His forgiveness, and make du’a. So rise, even if it is only for two rak’ahs. Make wudu. Stand before Allah. Ask. Repent. Remember your Rabb while others sleep. May Allah make us from the people of qiyam al-layl, grant us khushu in salah, sincerity in worship, firmness upon the Sunnah, and hearts that find peace in remembering Him. A Perspective Shift That Can Change Your Life! | Islamic Speech by Ousama Alshurafa

So much of this life depends on how you see it. The dunya can either become a distraction that pulls you away from Allah, or a test that wakes you up and brings you back to Him. The difference is not information alone. It is iman. It is the light Allah places in the heart when a person holds firmly to the Qur’an, protects their salah, remembers Allah, and chooses obedience even when the nafs is pulling them somewhere else. In this powerful Islamic reminder, Osama Alshurafa reflects on the illusion of time, the reality of dunya, and the way a believer’s perspective changes when Allah becomes the centre of their life. When your iman is weak, the dunya feels heavy. Every problem feels bigger. Every delay feels painful. Every negative thought feels like the truth. But when your connection to Allah becomes stronger, your vision changes. You begin to see your life through tawheed, sabr, shukr, tawakkul, and yaqeen. You stop letting every thought define you. Not every thought deserves your attention. Not every whisper is yours. Not every fear, doubt, or intrusive thought should become part of your identity. Islam teaches us to recognise the whispers of Shaytan, the pull of the nafs, and the traps of ghaflah. We do not have to obey them. We do not have to internalise them. We return to Allah through dhikr, Qur’an, salah, du’a, istighfar, and sincere action. This reminder is about changing how you see the world so you can change how you live in it. Strengthen your iman. Guard your Fajr. Pray on time. Recite the Qur’an. Make dhikr. Stand in tahajjud when others are asleep. Choose righteous conduct. Call others toward the deen with wisdom. Be patient with what Allah has written for you. Time is passing. The Akhirah is coming. And the believer cannot afford to live distracted. May Allah fill our hearts with iman, protect us from the whispers of Shaytan, cleanse us from the diseases of the heart, and make us from those who remember Him in ease and hardship. Be Unshakeable, A Reminder For When You're Unmotivated | Nouman Ali Khan

All credit for the original khutbah belongs to Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan and Bayyinah TV. We do not own this audio. This video has been shared for reminder and educational purposes only. When you lose motivation, it can feel like something inside you has gone quiet. Your energy drops. Your clarity fades. You know what you should do, but you no longer feel the strength to move. In those moments, a person can begin to feel stuck, discouraged, and distant from the version of themselves they thought they would become. But Allah does not abandon the believer in that state. In this powerful reminder, Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan reflects on the words of Allah in Surah Ali Imran, where Allah addresses the believers after the painful events of Uhud. The Sahabah had faced loss, grief, confusion, and deep emotional heaviness. Their hearts were tested. Their motivation was shaken. And in that moment, Allah reminded them not to weaken, not to fall into despair, and not to lose sight of what He had promised. Hardship is not always a sign that Allah is pushing you away. Sometimes it is the very moment Allah is calling you to rise. This reminder is for anyone who feels spiritually tired, emotionally drained, or stuck in the same place. It is about iman when motivation disappears. Sabr when the road feels heavy. Tawakkul when the outcome is unclear. Yaqeen when your heart is struggling to stay firm. The believer is not unshakeable because life is easy. The believer becomes unshakeable by holding onto Allah when everything else feels unstable. May Allah strengthen our iman, renew our hearts, protect us from despair, and make us from those who keep moving toward Him in times of ease and hardship. May Allah reward Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan, Bayyinah TV, and everyone involved. May He accept it as sadaqah jariyah and allow this reminder to benefit the Ummah.

How Satan Deceives You | God Won't Abandon You But Shaytan Will | Islamic Reminder by Abdulrahman Hassan

All credit for the original lecture belongs to Ustadh Abdulrahman Hassan and the AMAU YouTube channel. We do not own this audio. This video has been shared for reminder and educational purposes only. There are moments in the Seerah where the unseen becomes impossible to ignore. This powerful reminder takes us back to the day Allah sent His angels to aid the believers in battle. A day when the forces of Quraysh marched with confidence, pride, and false strength. A day when Shaytan deceived them, beautified their actions, and made them believe they could not be defeated. But when the reality of Allah’s help appeared before him, Shaytan fled. He abandoned the very people he had encouraged. He left them standing before the army of Allah with nothing but their arrogance, their fear, and the consequences of trusting in anything besides Allah. This is one of the great lessons from the Seerah of the Prophet ﷺ. Victory does not come from numbers alone. Strength does not come from weapons alone. Confidence built on falsehood collapses the moment it meets the truth. When Allah supports His servants, no army can overpower them. And when Shaytan promises strength, he only promises betrayal. This reminder is for anyone who wants to understand the reality of tawakkul, iman, yaqeen, and the help of Allah. It shows us the danger of arrogance, the deception of Shaytan, and the power of standing firm with Allah, even when the odds appear impossible. May Allah make us from those who trust Him completely, follow the Sunnah of His Messenger ﷺ, and remain firm upon truth in times of fear, pressure, and fitnah. May Allah reward everyone involved, accept it as sadaqah jariyah, and allow it to benefit the Ummah. May Allah send peace and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, his family, his companions, and all those who follow them until the Day of Judgment.

Neuroscience Confirms This Quranic Habit Rewires Your Brain

Neuroscience spent decades studying how the human brain changes. They called it neuroplasticity. But long before the modern world gave it a name, Allah had already given the believer a way to reshape the heart, discipline the mind, and return the soul back to Him. In this powerful Islamic reminder, we explore how the Qur’an, dhikr, salah, and taqwa can transform the way a believer thinks, reacts, sees the world, and protects themselves from fitnah and sin. When the words of Allah are not only recited, but internalized, they begin to change what we notice. They change what we fear. They change what we desire. They change what we run toward, and what we learn to leave behind. This is the reality of living with Allah front of mind. The Qur’an is not just something we read in moments of guilt or Ramadan. It is guidance, shifa, furqan, dhikr, light, and mercy. It trains the heart to remember Allah. It wakes the soul from ghaflah. It builds taqwa in a world designed to distract you from the Akhirah. And salah is not just a routine. It is a return. Again and again, throughout the day, the believer is pulled out of dunya and brought back to their Rabb. Back to sujood. Back to submission. Back to the truth that everything begins and ends with Allah. This video reflects on how Quranic habits can shape the mind, strengthen iman, protect the heart, and help the believer stay firm in a time of temptation, confusion, and spiritual noise. May Allah make the Qur’an the spring of our hearts, the light of our chests, the remover of our sadness, and the guide that leads us back to Him. May He grant us sincere dhikr, khushu in salah, strong iman, complete taqwa, and hearts that are protected from fitnah. What You Have Is a Test! | Powerful Speech On Dunya and Akhirah by Ousama Alshurafa

Everything we have in this dunya is a test. Our wealth, health, family, status, rizq, opportunities, comfort, and even our hardships are all part of the trial Allah has placed before us. This life was never meant to be permanent. It is a place of ibadah, sabr, shukr, tawakkul, sacrifice, and preparation for the Akhirah. In this powerful Islamic reminder, Ousama Alshurafa reflects on the reality of dunya, the purpose of life, and how the very means Allah gives us can become a test for our hearts. What we own does not truly belong to us. It is an amanah. A trust. A blessing from Allah. Something we will one day be questioned about on Yawm al-Qiyamah. Are we using what Allah has given us to come closer to Him, increase in taqwa, and seek His pleasure, or are we allowing it to distract us from dhikr, salah, the Qur’an, and the remembrance of the Akhirah? This reminder is for anyone trying to understand the balance between dunya and Akhirah, rizq and responsibility, ni’mah and accountability, comfort and obedience. In a time where iman and amal can so easily be lost in the noise, we need reminders that soften the heart and bring us back to Allah. Never forget your Rabb. May Allah make us among those who use every blessing in obedience to Him, remember Him in ease and hardship, protect our hearts from ghaflah, and return to Him with sincere hearts full of iman, taqwa, and ikhlas. Dealing with Islamophobia, Replying Back Better | Islamic Speech by Abdal Hakim Murad

Disclaimer: This audio is owned by Cambridge Central Mosque and Abdal Hakim Murad. All rights belong to their respective owners. In a time where Muslims are often misunderstood, misrepresented, and spoken about through the lens of fear, anger, politics, and prejudice, how should a believer respond? When faced with hate, mockery, criticism, Islamophobia, or the loud voices of the detractors of Islam, the Islamic way is not to lose control, react from the ego, or mirror the harshness placed in front of us. Rather, Islam calls us to something higher: sabr, adab, hikmah, mercy, clarity, and beautiful character. This reflection explores what it means to reply back better. Not simply to “win” an argument, but to respond in a way that reflects the dignity of Islam and the mercy of the Prophet ﷺ. It is about learning how to bring down the emotional temperature, speak with calmness, and address the human being behind the hostility. Many people who attack Islam do so through a veil of misunderstanding, pain, fear, misinformation, or inherited prejudice. The Muslim response should not be weakness, but it should also not be uncontrolled anger. The response should be rooted in taqwa, truth, patience, courage, and sincere concern for guidance. Dealing with hate as a Muslim requires strength of heart. It requires remembering Allah, guarding the tongue, lowering the ego, and choosing words that are better. The Qur’an teaches believers to repel evil with what is better, to speak with wisdom, and to call to the way of Allah with beautiful preaching. This does not mean allowing falsehood to go unchallenged. It means pushing back with clarity, confidence, and composure. It means defending Islam without losing the spirit of Islam in the process. This episode is a reminder that dawah is not only about information. It is also about transformation. It is about how we carry ourselves when we are insulted, how we speak when we are provoked, and how we represent the deen when others are watching. Sometimes the person opposing Islam is not reached by facts alone, but by witnessing patience, mercy, humility, and prophetic character. Sometimes the most powerful response is not the loudest one, but the most sincere, thoughtful, and human one. For anyone dealing with criticism of Islam, online hate, anti-Muslim rhetoric, difficult conversations, debates, public hostility, or personal attacks against their faith, this is a powerful reminder to remain grounded. Do not take every insult personally. Do not let hatred make you hateful. Do not allow the behaviour of others to pull you away from ihsan. Respond with strength, but also with rahmah. Speak truth, but with adab. Push back, but push back better. This audio reminds us that Muslims must meet hostility with wisdom, misinformation with clarity, arrogance with humility, and hatred with a heart anchored in Allah. In every conversation, whether online or in person, the believer has an opportunity to embody Islam, defend the truth, and show the beauty of the prophetic way.

We Are Nothing Without Allah | Powerful Islamic Reminder | Dr. Omar Suleiman, Sh. Abdullah Oduro & Sh. Mikaeel Smith

How can we remember Allah in times of both safety and danger? Why is it that in moments of fear, hardship, and desperation, the heart naturally turns back to Allah, yet in times of ease and comfort, we can so easily forget Him? And how can recognising our weakness, vulnerability, and complete need for Allah actually make us stronger believers? In this powerful reflection on Juz 21 of the Qur’an, Sh. Mikaeel Ahmed Smith joins Dr. Omar Suleiman and Sh. Abdullah Oduro for a beautiful discussion on gratitude, hardship, human weakness, and our constant need for God. The conversation explores how Allah reminds us of His signs through creation, provision, and the way He gives to whom He wills. It reflects on how easily people can diminish the greatness of Allah by turning to other than Him, despite every blessing, every moment of safety, and every provision coming only from Him. A central theme of this episode is the contrast between remembering Allah in hardship and forgetting Him in ease. When a person is surrounded by danger, uncertainty, or calamity, their natural disposition, the fitrah, often pulls them back to sincere du’a. But when safety returns, many fall back into heedlessness. This discussion reminds us that true gratitude is not only calling upon Allah when we are desperate, but remaining connected to Him when life feels stable, comfortable, and secure. Sh. Mikaeel Ahmed Smith also reflects on the reality of human weakness. No matter how strong, successful, healthy, or capable we may feel, we remain completely dependent on Allah. Recognising this vulnerability is not a weakness in faith. It is one of the foundations of faith. The believer becomes stronger when they understand that their strength was never independent to begin with. This episode is a reminder that dhikr and du’a are not only acts for moments of crisis. They are daily anchors that keep the heart grateful, humble, and aware of Allah. To remember Allah at your strongest is to recognise that even your strength is a gift from Him. To break down before Allah is not defeat. It is the return of the servant to the One they have always needed. This audio is owned by Yaqeen Institute and belongs to them. How Prophet Muhammad ﷺ Treated People | How to Build Better Relationships | Islamic Speech by Hisham Abu Yusuf

Building genuine relationships has become rare. In a world of followers, likes, group chats, and constant notifications, many of us are more reachable than ever, yet feel less truly known than ever. We mistake online interaction for real connection, collect contacts without closeness, and often forget what it means to make another person feel genuinely seen. But over 1,400 years ago, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ showed us a different way. He gave people his full attention. He remembered names, asked about families, honoured children, respected elders, and treated every person with dignity, regardless of their status. He did not wait for someone to be important before treating them as important. A child, a servant, a companion, a leader, or a stranger could sit with him and leave feeling valued. This was not just natural charisma. It was sincerity in action. He listened deeply, asked meaningful questions, met people where they were, and nurtured relationships with patience, care, and consistency. In this episode, Hisham Abu Yusuf breaks down how the Prophet ﷺ carried himself with people, and what we can learn from the prophetic way of building trust, warmth, and meaningful connection. This is a conversation about reviving the lost art of treating people well. How do we make people feel seen? How do we become easier to connect with? How do we build relationships rooted in sincerity instead of ego, status, or convenience? Real connection has not disappeared. It simply needs to be revived. The Rejection Was Protection | Allah's Names - Al-Mani | Islamic Speech by Shaykh Mikaeel Smith

In this khutbah from The Names of Allah series from the Qalam Institute, Shaykh Mikaeel Smith reflects on the name Al-Mani, The Preventer. This powerful reminder explores how rejection, loss, delay, and closed doors can often be a form of protection from Allah. The thing we wanted so badly may have been withheld for the sake of our iman, our taqwa, our future, our character, or our hereafter. Shaykh Mikaeel reminds us that while we only see one small pixel, Allah sees the full picture. What was written for us will never miss us, and what was not written for us was never truly ours to begin with. This khutbah is a reminder to have tawakkul, complete trust and reliance upon Allah, especially when life does not unfold the way we planned. Through sabr, surrender, and trust in Allah’s divine wisdom, we begin to understand that what Allah prevents may be just as much a mercy as what He gives. The khutbah also reflects on the hadith of the Prophet ﷺ: “Know that if the whole nation were to gather together to benefit you with something, they would not benefit you except with what Allah had already written for you. And if they were to gather together to harm you with something, they would not harm you except with what Allah had already written against you. The pens have been lifted and the pages have dried.” This is a reminder of complete reliance on Allah’s Qadr, His divine decree. Nothing can touch us unless Allah has already allowed it. No person, no rejection, no enemy, and no whisper of Shaytan has independent power over our lives. True victory is only through Allah. He did not send us into this world expecting perfection from us. He knows our weakness, our mistakes, our fears, and our pain. Sometimes the rejection was not a punishment. Sometimes the rejection was protection.
