A Holistic Approach to Children's Emotional Health | Sara Chana Silverstein
In this episode of The Herbalist Hour, I'm joined by herbalist, classical homeopath, author and mother of seven Sara Chana Silverstein. We discuss her new book, Moodtopia for Kids, and the many ways parents and caregivers can support a child's emotional well-being through herbs, homeopathy and simple daily practices. Sara Chana shares some of her favorite herbal allies for children, including skullcap, lemon balm and linden, along with creative ways to make herbs more appealing to kids. We also explore the importance of physical affection, movement, sleep, family connection and healthy boundaries around screens. Toward the end, Sara Chana shares stories from her recent journey to Bhutan with United Plant Savers and reflects on what the experience taught her about nature, community and life away from the phone.
