    ANGEL DOWN Review | A Pulitzer Prize Winner I Didn't Enjoy?!

    A Pulitzer Prize-winning novel that's brilliantly written... but absolutely MISERABLE to read?! Is it possible to recognize a book as a literary masterpiece while not particularly enjoying the experience? That's exactly the dilemma Jim faces in this spoiler-lite review of ANGEL DOWN, the 2025 historical fantasy/horror novel by Daniel Kraus! Set amid the mud, blood, and unimaginable horrors of World War I, ANGEL DOWN follows a group of soldiers sent into No Man's Land on a grim mission, only to encounter something extraordinary—and possibly supernatural. What follows is a disturbing exploration of humanity, morality, faith, and the horrors of war. Oh, and did we mention that the ENTIRE NOVEL IS ONE SENTENCE?! Seriously. Nearly 300 pages. ONE.     Triangle (2009) – I Thought This Was Just Another Horror Movie...

Some are fantastic, some are forgettable, and some make you wish you could get those 90 minutes of your life back. But every once in a while, you stumble across a hidden gem that completely blows away your expectations! That's exactly what happened when I watched TRIANGLE (2009), the psychological horror mystery written and directed by Christopher Smith and starring Melissa George. What starts as a seemingly straightforward survival thriller about a group of friends stranded at sea quickly becomes something MUCH more interesting. A mysterious ocean liner, an increasingly unsettling atmosphere, shocking twists, and a story that will have you questioning everything you think you know! And that ENDING?! WOW.
