Knowing God vs Having a Relationship with God

This week, we are going to reflect upon the difference between knowing about God and having a relationship with Him! In Matthew 16, when Jesus and His disciples traveled to Caesarea Philippi, Jesus asked his disciples, "Who do people say that the Son of Man is?" Simon Peter's response to Jesus, and Jesus's response to Peter, is an important shift in how we, as Christ followers, understand the gospel! God wants us to have a personal relationship with Him, and it's awesome.

And what a statement should be made of us! We will be taking some time to be prayed for as we begin a new school year.

This week, we are going to look at a married couple who are mentioned a number of times in Scripture: Aquila and Priscilla. Little is known about these individuals. But what we do know is that they used the everyday rhythms of their lives—their home, their time, and their resources—to do ministry.
