    73. Why Do I Feel Guilty For Needing Help?

Episode 73: Why do I feel guilty for needing help? In this episode we explore the quiet guilt that shows up when you need support. So many people feel like they should be able to manage everything on their own, and when life feels overwhelming they slip into the belief that they are somehow failing. We talk about why this happens and why it feels so uncomfortable to ask for help, even when it would make life easier. You will hear real examples from motherhood, work and everyday life, including the pressure to do things the right way, the expectations we carry from family and culture, and the invisible load that comes with neurodivergence and executive function. We look at how these beliefs shape the way you think, the choices you make and the guilt that follows you around. This episode is a gentle reminder that needing help is not a failing. It is a strength. It gives you space to breathe, space to be present and space to focus on what matters to you. When you honour your own needs instead of performing for other people’s expectations, life feels clearer and more manageable. You feel more connected to yourself and more confident in your choices. If you want support with this, you are welcome to book a free consultation call where we can talk about what you need and how coaching can help. 72. What If You Didn't Have to Do It All Alone? With Carla Lett

What if success isn't about how much you can do on your own? This week I'm joined by Carla Lett from My Bump 2 Baby for a conversation about success, freedom, support and the pressure we put on ourselves to do everything. Carla has built a hugely successful business, but as we talk, she shares how there was a point where success didn't actually feel the way she thought it would. The business was growing, but so were the hours, the pressure and the feeling that everything depended on her. We explore what changed when she started creating systems, asking for support and designing her business around the life she actually wanted. And I think there's something in this for all of us, whether you run a business or not. In this episode, we talk about: • Redefining what success means to you • The pressure to do everything yourself • Asking for and receiving support • Creating boundaries around your time and energy • Building a life that actually works for you Because perhaps freedom isn't about being able to do everything yourself. Perhaps it's about creating a life where you don't have to. You don't have to prove your strength by doing everything alone. Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is allow yourself to be supported. 71. You Are Not Meant to Bloom All Year Round

You Are Not Meant to Bloom All Year Round As September arrives, the shift into autumn can bring a surprising mix of emotions. There may be a desire to declutter, organise, finish things and prepare for winter, alongside a renewed sense of excitement, energy and possibility. In this episode, Claudia explores what the changing seasons can teach us about growth, rest and the pressure we place on ourselves to keep going. Autumn is not simply the end of summer. It can be a time for releasing what is weighing us down, making space and preparing for what comes next. Using the natural rhythm of the seasons as a guide, Claudia explores how winter supports rest and reflection, spring brings new ideas and possibilities, summer invites action and visibility, and autumn encourages completion, review and release. Because flowers do not bloom all year long. And neither are we meant to. In This Episode, We Explore Why September can bring a renewed sense of energy and possibility How releasing things that have been weighing us down can create space What the seasons can teach us about rest, reflection, growth and action Why lower energy does not mean we are failing How to notice what our current season may be asking of us A Question to Reflect On What season are you in right now? What might you need to release, complete, rest from, prepare for or make space for? And what possibilities are beginning to emerge? Explore Cyclical Living If this episode has made you curious about your own natural rhythms, you can also listen to my earlier episode on Cyclical Wisdom (episode 34), where I explore the menstrual, lunar and seasonal cycles in more detail. You can also join my free Unlock Your Energy workshop, which includes a printable guide to help you understand the different cycles and begin working with your energy rather than punishing yourself for not feeling the same every day. 70. Stop Panic Picking Your Next Job

Stop Panic Picking Your Next Job What do you do when you know your current job isn't working for you, but you don't know what you want to do next? Maybe you love the work but not the workplace culture. Maybe the workload, management or lack of flexibility is taking its toll. Or perhaps you've applied for job after job and the rejection emails are starting to make you question yourself. In this episode, I'm sharing a different way to approach your next career move: stop panic picking and get curious instead. I share the dating analogy that helped me think about this differently and explore why, rather than starting with a specific job title, it can be more useful to get clear about your skills, what you enjoy, what you need from an employer, how you want to feel at work, your non negotiables and the values that matter to you. We also talk about why knowing what you don't want can be just as useful, how transferable skills can open up possibilities you hadn't considered, and why rejection from one particular job isn't a rejection of your worth or ability. You don't need to know exactly what job you're looking for before you start exploring what's possible. And you don't need to quit tomorrow either. Questions to consider What am I good at? What do I actually enjoy doing? What do I want from an employer? What are my non negotiables? How do I want to feel at work? What don't I want anymore? What matters to me? Don't panic pick. Get curious instead. Work with me If you'd like support to explore your options, brainstorm possibilities or simply have someone as a sounding board, you can book a free 30 minute discovery call with me. I also have a limited number of spaces available for coaching sessions recorded for the podcast. You'll find the details here Claudia Sabina Wellness Less guilt. Less pressure. Truly you. 69. Scared of Making the Wrong Decision

Are you scared of making the wrong decision? Maybe you overthink every choice, worry about regret, or feel stuck because you don't know which option is right. In this episode, I explore fear of making decisions, overthinking and indecision, and why trusting yourself can be more helpful than trying to find the perfect answer. We look at how fear, perfectionism and the need for certainty can influence your decisions, and why remembering that you can adapt, change direction and handle whatever happens next can make decision making feel much less daunting. I also share a personal decision I made recently when I chose not to force myself to record podcast episodes during the summer holidays. Because sometimes, making a decision isn't about knowing exactly what will happen. It's about trusting yourself to handle the outcome. Reflection question: What would you choose if you trusted yourself implicitly? 68. I Don’t Feel Like Myself Anymore

Finding yourself after life changes. Have you ever looked at your life and wondered, "I just don't feel like myself anymore"? Whether you've experienced a health diagnosis, become a parent, changed careers, lost a relationship, experienced burnout or simply found yourself wanting something different from life, it can feel as though you've lost a part of who you are. In this episode, I explore why those feelings are so common and why they often have less to do with losing yourself and more to do with the roles and labels you've attached to your identity. Sharing my own experience of leaving intensive care nursing due to ill health, I reflect on the grief of letting go of a career that had become part of my identity and the realisation that what I truly missed wasn't the job title itself, but how that role made me feel. Together we'll explore how to look beneath the labels, identify what genuinely makes you feel like you, and discover new ways to reconnect with those feelings, even when life looks very different from how it once did. If you've ever questioned who you are after a major life change, this episode is a gentle reminder that you haven't lost yourself. You may simply be discovering a deeper version of who you've always been. In This Episode We Explore Why it's so common to feel like you've lost yourself after a major life change. How our identity can become tied to careers, relationships and other life roles. Why grief isn't limited to bereavement and can accompany any significant transition. The difference between the labels we wear and the feelings that truly define us. How to identify what makes you feel most like yourself. Practical ways to recreate those feelings when circumstances change. Why you're more than your job title, diagnosis, relationship status or responsibilities. Reflection Questions As you finish listening, take a few moments to reflect: What roles or labels have become part of your identity? What do those roles actually give you emotionally? What makes you feel most like yourself? Is there another way you could experience those feelings in your life today? Who are you beneath all the labels? 67. Why Does Everyone Else Seem to Have It Figured Out... Except Me?

Have you ever looked around and wondered why everyone else seems to know exactly where they're going while you're still trying to work it all out? Whether it's your career, relationships, business or simply life itself, it's easy to believe everyone else has a perfect plan. But what if having everything figured out isn't actually the goal? In this episode, Claudia explores why we put so much pressure on ourselves to have all the answers and how that pressure can stop us from embracing opportunities we never expected. Sharing stories from her travels around Australia and her own career journey, she reflects on the power of having a clear direction without needing every step mapped out. Through gentle coaching questions and personal insights, you'll be invited to redefine what success means to you, let go of comparison and discover how flexibility can create space for growth, possibility and unexpected adventures. In this episode, we explore: Why we feel pressured to have life all figured out The difference between having a destination and having every detail planned What travelling around Australia taught me about embracing uncertainty Why certainty isn't always the same as safety How comparing yourself to others keeps you feeling behind Why your goals and definition of success are allowed to change over time The opportunities that come from staying open to possibility Learning to enjoy the journey instead of only focusing on the destination A question to reflect on What does "having it all figured out" really mean to you... and what might become possible if you loosened the reins just a little? 66. I Know What I Need to Do... So What's Getting in the Way?

Ever found yourself thinking, "I know what I need to do... so why am I not doing it?" Whether it's getting to bed earlier, spending less time scrolling, exercising more, eating differently or finally taking the first step towards something you've been putting off, knowing what to do and actually doing it are often two very different things. In this episode, Claudia explores why change can feel so difficult, what often sits beneath procrastination and perfectionism, and why the real barrier usually isn't a lack of knowledge. Through personal stories, practical examples and coaching reflections, you'll be invited to get curious about what's really keeping you stuck and how you can begin moving forward with more compassion and less pressure. In this episode, we explore: Why knowing what to do isn't always enough The gap between knowledge and action How habits are designed to keep us comfortable Why perfectionism can stop us before we even begin The assumptions we make about change Building sustainable habits through small, realistic steps Why progress matters more than perfection Celebrating non scale wins and redefining success Learning to enjoy the process rather than chasing the outcome A question to reflect on: What's one thing you already know you want to do... and what's really getting in the way? 63: Reflecting on a coaching session: When space to think changes everything

Episode 63: Reflecting on a Coaching Session: When Space to Think Changes Everything What if the problem you're trying to solve isn't actually the real problem? In this episode, I'm reflecting on the first live coaching session I've shared on the podcast (episode 62). I'll be honest, it felt incredibly vulnerable to let listeners see the inner workings of my coaching. But it also reinforced something I believe deeply: real change doesn't usually come from more advice. It comes from having the space to slow down, reflect and see yourself differently. We explore how one client came into coaching believing she simply needed better time management, only to discover that what was really keeping her stuck was guilt, pressure, perfectionism and the belief that she always had to be productive. Along the way, I also share my own experience of how coaching helped me find hope after leaving an abusive marriage, and why that small shift in perspective became the beginning of rebuilding my life. In this episode, we explore: Why the problem we think we have isn't always the real problem The difference between solving problems and understanding ourselves Why self compassion creates more change than self criticism How coaching helps you uncover the beliefs that keep you stuck Why slowing down and creating space to think can completely change your perspective The power of awareness in breaking old patterns Why hope often begins with seeing that another way is possible If this episode resonated with you and you'd like your own dedicated space to think, reflect and explore what's really going on beneath the surface, I'd love to support you. Book a free 30 minute discovery call and let's explore whether coaching feels like the right next step for you. Until next time, remember: sometimes the biggest changes don't begin with finding the answer. They begin by asking a different question. 62. INSIDE COACHING SPECIAL: Behind The Breakthrough: A Real Coaching Session on Burnout, Guilt & Balance

This episode opens a new series of real coaching conversations, where you are invited into an unfiltered coaching session with Katie as she navigates burnout, identity, guilt, and the pressure of balancing work, motherhood and personal needs. Rather than theory or advice, this is a live coaching conversation that explores what happens when someone is given space to slow down, reflect, and question the patterns that keep them stuck in over-functioning and self-criticism. Together, we explore: The invisible mental load carried alongside work and parenting Why rest often triggers guilt instead of recovery The link between productivity, worth, and self pressure Decision fatigue and the exhaustion of constant choice making How small structural shifts can create more ease and clarity What changes when rest is reframed as necessary rather than earned You will hear how insights unfold in real time and how awareness, not perfection, becomes the starting point for change. 61. Dropping the Labels: The Moment Everything Finally Made Sense

In this episode, I am sharing a realisation that has been building inside me for years. A moment where everything finally clicked into place and the weight I had been carrying made sense. For so long, I tried to fit myself into labels and boxes that other people told me I needed. I was encouraged to narrow myself, define myself, choose one type of person to support. But every time I tried, it felt wrong. It felt restrictive. It felt like I was excluding people I knew I could help. After 23 years in the NHS, I have never believed in gatekeeping care. I have never believed in telling someone they do not qualify for support because they do not fit a category. And yet, without meaning to, that is exactly what I was doing by trying to label myself. In this episode I explore: • why labels and boxes never aligned with my values • how my lived experience, nursing background and trauma‑informed approach naturally lead to whole‑human coaching • why humans are multifaceted and deserve support that honours all of them • how guilt, rest and self‑prioritisation connect to this bigger conversation • the moment I realised I was allowed to coach in a way that feels true to me • why you do not need to fit a label to get support This is an episode about inclusion, compassion and coming home to your true north. It is about giving yourself permission to be a whole human, not a category. If this resonates, you are welcome to book a free 30 minute call and explore how coaching could support you. 60. Why You Focus on What Went Wrong: Reclaiming Confidence Through Reflection

We often think reflection is something we only do when things go wrong. A difficult conversation. A mistake. A missed opportunity. Something we'd rather not repeat. But what if reflection could also help you recognise what's going right? In this episode, Claudia explores why our brains naturally focus on the negative, how that can quietly erode our confidence over time, and why intentionally reflecting on your successes is just as important as learning from your challenges. Drawing on experiences from nursing, coaching, and everyday life, Claudia shares practical ways to build a healthier reflection habit, strengthen your self belief, and stop allowing one difficult moment to overshadow everything you've done well. In This Episode We Explore: Why reflection shouldn't only happen after mistakes How negativity bias influences the way we see ourselves The importance of celebrating progress, effort and growth Using reflection to build confidence and resilience How keeping a reflective journal can support learning and development Why recording your wins matters on difficult days The role of your Reticular Activating System (RAS) in helping you notice opportunities Simple reflective questions you can use at the end of each day A Simple Reflection Exercise Take five minutes at the end of your day and ask yourself: What went well today? What did I learn? What would I do differently next time? What am I proud of? What are five positive things that happened today, no matter how small? Remember, growth doesn't only come from analysing what went wrong. It also comes from recognising what is already working and building on it. 59. Why You Feel Guilty For Resting: The Link Between Worth and Productivity

Many people find it surprisingly difficult to rest, even when they are exhausted. Instead of feeling restored, slowing down can trigger guilt, discomfort, or a sense that something still needs to be done. In this episode, we explore why rest can feel so uncomfortable and why the mind often pulls you back towards productivity the moment you try to stop. This is not about lack of discipline or poor time management. It is about deeper patterns that link your sense of worth to what you do, rather than who you are. We look at how everyday thoughts like “I should be doing something” or “I’ll rest after I finish this” keep you in a cycle where rest is always delayed. Over time, this can make it feel unsafe or even wrong to stop, even when your body is asking for recovery. You will also hear how experiences from work culture, caregiving roles, and earlier conditioning can shape this internal pressure. For many, rest becomes something that has to be earned, rather than something that is needed. This episode also touches on the impact of pushing through exhaustion, including how it can lead to burnout and longer recovery periods. Rest is not framed as indulgent, but as essential for recovery, clarity, and sustainable wellbeing. Finally, we reflect on the idea that guilt is not evidence you are doing something wrong. Often, it is a sign that you care deeply and have learned rules that no longer serve you. If you notice guilt when you try to rest, this episode will help you understand what might be driving it and begin to gently question those patterns. If you want support in shifting these patterns, this is something we explore in depth through 1:1 coaching, helping you rebuild internal self-worth and create a healthier relationship with rest and productivity. We also talk about self love, feminine energy, emotional safety, rebuilding trust after difficult experiences and why healing your relationship with yourself changes everything. This episode is full of honest reflections, humour, relatable stories and gentle reminders that you are not broken and your patterns are not permanent. 56. Caring for Others Without Losing Yourself: International Nurses Day 2026

Caring for others is at the heart of nursing and healthcare, but over time it can quietly lead to self-neglect, emotional fatigue, and the habit of putting your own needs last. In this episode, Claudia explores what it means to care for others without losing yourself in the process. She reflects on the emotional impact of healthcare work, the tendency to postpone self-care until life feels easier, and how easily rest and recovery get deprioritised in busy clinical environments. Rather than focusing on doing more, this episode invites you to notice what has been delayed, and begin including yourself in your own care in small, realistic ways that fit within the reality of shift work and responsibility. This is a reflection on permission, awareness, and starting where you are. Key reflection questions What does being a good nurse mean to me, beyond external expectations or validation? What am I putting off doing that would genuinely support my wellbeing and recovery? What is my personal care plan for my emotional wellbeing and health, and am I actively using it? Closing thoughts Remember that caring for others does not need to come at the cost of caring for yourself. The Transition Tapes Stop carrying the stress of your shift into your home life. 55. You Don't Have To Be Positive: Making Space for All Your Emotions

In this episode, I share a very real moment from my own life where I was not feeling “okay” and had no energy to force positivity. Instead of pushing through, I explore what it looks like to actually work with your emotions rather than against them. We often feel pressure to “stay positive” or quickly shift out of uncomfortable feelings. But this episode challenges that idea and introduces a gentler, more realistic approach to emotional wellbeing. In this episode, I cover: Why forced positivity can be unhelpful and even counterproductive The emotional guidance scale and why emotions are not “good” or “bad” Why you don’t need to jump from low emotions straight to happiness How to move through emotions in smaller, more manageable steps The importance of self compassion when you are feeling low or overwhelmed Listening to your body instead of pushing productivity Practical ways to support yourself on low energy days Why rest, movement, and emotional release all have a role in wellbeing I also share how a simple shift in my own day helped me move from feeling low and disconnected to feeling more energised and able to re-engage with life and work, without forcing it. Key reminder from this episode: You are not meant to stay stuck in difficult emotions, but you also do not need to rush out of them. Emotional wellbeing is about allowing space, not forcing a shortcut. 54. When Everything Feels Hard: Simple Things That Help

When life feels overwhelming, it can be easy to assume everything is going wrong or out of control. In this episode, I explore how to navigate those moments without forcing positivity or ignoring how you feel. Instead of pushing through or shutting emotions down, this episode focuses on how to respond in a more grounded and constructive way when everything feels hard. I share practical ways to help you move through overwhelm and regain perspective, especially when life feels full. In this episode, we explore: How to acknowledge what you are feeling without getting stuck in it, and move from overwhelm into more grounded, practical next steps How to shift perspective and energy using simple tools, including reframing situations, focusing attention more intentionally, and building awareness of what is within your control How to create balance when life feels heavy, through connection, small resets (like movement or environment change), and practices such as a win list and the 5:1 positives approach How to reduce pressure by adapting expectations, grounding yourself in the present moment, and letting go of perfection in favour of “done is enough” Key takeaway You do not need to fix everything or feel positive all the time. When life feels overwhelming, small and simple actions can help you regain perspective, reduce pressure, and feel more grounded in what is actually within your control.
