    President Trump was defending the war with Iran and the resulting higher gas and energy prices with a poorly worded comment that seemed to suggest he’d be fine with Iran taking out Los Angeles and San Diego. Trump was trying to say that the higher prices Americans are paying are a small price to pay, rather than having Iran take out an American city. The problem was, the way he stated it sounded like he was inciting Iran to take them out and that has elicited several strongly worded reactions from mayors, and the California governor, saying Trump actively threatened and encouraged attacks on American lives.     It was a heartbreaking and dramatic afternoon in court as Caleb Flynn heard directly from his two young daughters who wrote letters to him read aloud by his wife, Ashley’s family members. Alyssa and Ava Flynn told their father how much pain he’s caused them and begged him to tell the truth about killing their mother. Other members of Ashely’s family spoke directly to Flynn, including her own parents who told their former son-in-law that they forgive him. Flynn read a letter to his daughters, family members and Ashley’s family apologizing for his decisions and hateful words, but insisting that he did not kill his wife.     NEW: Prison Chief Resigns After Christa Pike Debacle, And With A History Of Botched Executions

    As Christa Pike remains hospitalized, unconscious, on a ventilator in critical condition after a failed execution attempt, the man in charge of Tennessee prisons has announced his resignation. Governor Bill Lee did not directly reference the situation with Pike, or with this spring’s botched execution of Tony Carruthers, but said Department of Correction Commissioner Frank Strada stepping aside is "in the best interest of Tennesseans as the independent review moves forward." Strada was most recently the Deputy Director of the Arizona Department of Corrections where he last oversaw three troubled lethal injections that all involved personnel not being able to find the inmates’ veins.     Mom Arrested For Leaving 4 Young Kids Home Alone To Go On Cruise

    29-year-old Nathalie Belizaire was taken off a Carnival Cruise ship in handcuffs after police say she went on a 4 day cruise while leaving her 4 kids home, unsupervised. Belizaire has been charged with four counts of felony child abuse after the father of her infant called 9-1-1 after hearing kids’ voices and the tv on at her residence. When police burst through the front door, they found the four kids, including a 2 1/2 month old and a 2-year-old, hiding in the bathroom.     Bloody Attack And Attempted Hijacking Thwarted By Hero Pilot And Passengers

    Quick and brave actions by the captain of Flydubai flight 1073 and several of its passengers averted a deadly disaster, saving the lives of more than 170 people on board a flight headed from Dubai to Tel Aviv on Wednesday. The investigation is ongoing, but the details of what happened mid-air are nothing short of remarkable. A co-pilot who has now been detained, reportedly began stabbing the captain in an attempt to crash the plane. While being attacked, the captain was able to open the cockpit door, allowing passengers to rush in, neutralize the co-pilot and stabilize the plane that had dropped more than 17 thousand feet in less than two minutes.
