🗣️ 情境對話 Dialogue
場景：週五下班前，Anna 跟美國同事 Ben 約晚餐；Ben 問想吃什麼，Anna 把中文的「隨便」直接翻成 Whatever，Ben 以為她不高興，邊解釋邊教她怎麼講。
Ben: So, dinner tonight. What do you feel like? Tacos, ramen, that new Thai place?
（今晚吃飯，妳想吃什麼？塔可、拉麵，還是那間新開的泰式？）
Anna: Whatever.
（隨便。（單獨一句 Whatever，聽起來像「隨便啦，懶得理你」））
Ben: Whoa. Did I do something? You sound kind of annoyed.
（哇，我做錯什麼了嗎？妳聽起來有點不耐煩。）
Anna: What? No! I mean I'm fine with anything. You choose.
（什麼？沒有啊！我是說我都可以，你選。）
Ben: Oh, okay. Just so you know, whatever by itself sounds like you're rolling your eyes at me.
（喔，好。跟妳說一下，whatever 單獨講，聽起來像妳在對我翻白眼。）
Anna: Really? In Chinese it just means anything's fine. So what do I say instead?
（真的嗎？中文的「隨便」就只是「都可以」的意思。那我該說什麼？）
Ben: Say I'm easy, or either works, or just you pick. Or whatever you want, that one's fine because you added the you want part.
（說 I'm easy（我都好），或 either works（哪個都行），或直接 you pick（你選）。或者 whatever you want 也行，因為後面加了 you want。）
Anna: Got it. I'm easy. Honestly, you pick, I'm good with anything.
（懂了。我都好。真的，你選，我什麼都可以。）
Ben: See, now you sound like a friend, not like you're mad at me. Thai it is.
（你看，這樣才像朋友在講話，不像在生我的氣。那就泰式。）
Anna: Sounds good. And sorry about the whatever thing.
