Gary Lineker has also been asked to step back from his role on Match of the Day after criticising the Conservatives' small boats immigration plans. Fiona Bruce, the host of BBC's Question Time, has also been criticised for dismissing domestic abuse allegations against Boris Johnson's father as a "one-off". Ep 145 - Racist death threats to Dr Shola, What can the community do?

On today's episode, we discuss the troubling news that the Metropolitan Police are investigating death threats sent to Black activist Dr Shola Mos-Shogbamimu and trans broadcaster India Willoughby. The letters contained shocking language and violent threats, and the police are calling on the UK to wake up to the racism that still exists in our society. We also delve into the controversy surrounding this year's BAFTA awards, which have been criticised for their lack of diversity. Despite a diverse range of nominees, all 49 winners were white, leading to calls for black people to withdraw from the awards altogether. In other news, we discuss the ongoing legal battle of Shamima Begum, the schoolgirl who left the UK to support ISIS and had her citizenship stripped in 2019. Begum has lost her appeal against the government's decision to remove her British citizenship, leaving her stranded in a Syrian refugee camp. Finally, we turn our attention to the debate surrounding the feminisation of Black men, sparked by Jonathan Majors' recent cover on Ebony magazine, and Rihanna and ASAP Rocky's recent Vogue cover. Red Pill guys have been analysing the images and accusing them of emasculating men, but is this just another example of toxic masculinity?

Ep 138 Just Pearly Things Red pilling, the Aunties survived! - Full rundown of the show

This is the episode we are talking about https://youtu.be/RjjmTSZ4OU0 Aunty Nana and Aunty Sade went on the Just Pearly Things youtube channel in June 2022 here is a breakdown of their experience. Will the Aunties every go back on a show? YouTube has become a powerful platform for the spread of the "Red Pill" movement, which claims to reject feminism and promote traditionalist gender roles. While some people may find their views on gender enlightening, others may view them as counterproductive and dangerous. The majority of YouTube videos that offer "Red Pill" content can be problematic in a variety of ways – from the promotion of stale gender ideologies to unrealistic expectations of what it means to be a "Red Pill" man or woman. This can be dangerous to viewers who may become vulnerable to absorbing outdated and oppressive ideologies. Furthermore, videos featuring "Red Pill" content often fail to offer counterarguments or evidence that gender roles are more complex and varied than is presented. The lack of critical engagement with these ideas can lead viewers to accept ideological views and behaviors that are ultimately damaging. People should be encouraged to critically engage with these topics and explore gender roles and dynamics on their own, rather than blindly adopting dangerous views promoted by "Red Pill" YouTube personalities. At the moment JustPearlyThings is one of the leading red pill content creators Part two coming soon!

Ep 137 Harry and Meghan Doc | Megan thee Stallion vs Tory Lanez | Diddy and Caresha's 'relationship'

The past few weeks have been filled with a flurry of news involving celebrities, including the birth of hip-hop mogul P. Diddy's new child and the shooting of rapper Megan Thee Stallion. The events have put the spotlight on several public figures, including P. Diddy's rumored girlfriend Caresha aka Yung Miami, and Tory Lanez, who is accused of shooting Megan Thee Stallion. Since the announcement of Love Sean's birth, Caresha has been the target of online harassment. Speculation that Caresha is a side chick and upset with P. Diddy have been rampant due to her posts on social media, even though she and P. Diddy have both made it clear that they are not in a relationship. The situation has raised questions about why it is acceptable for people to criticize Caresha for her choices, yet P. Diddy's own antics with multiple women go unchecked. The Megan Thee Stallion shooting incident has also been a cause for concern. Tory Lanez is facing 22 years in prison for the shooting, and speculation is growing that he and Kelsey may have conspired to create a mistrial. Kelsey has been given immunity and a million dollars was offered at some point by Tory Lanes. Tory Lanes also sent text messages apologising for the incident. This tragedy has led to a discussion of the way people are treated differently based on their race and gender. We also discussed the Harry and Megan documentary on Netflix and the media scrutiny that both Megan and Harry's have faced. In Aunties know best section Aunty AK shared a story about a husband's surprise teenage daughter. The daughter is currently sleeping on the couch of a great aunt who has no stable adult in her life, and the grandparents are disabled and sickly. The step mother is worried about her own mental health issues and her ability to parent a teenager, yet she and her husband feel obligated to take the girl in. The events of the past few weeks have raised many questions about the way people are treated, the way we view different types of relationships, and the inequalities which exist in our society. It is essential that we all take the time to reflect on these events, and learn from them so that similar situations can be avoided in the future.
